A.N. — After a fair few well-known names lately, it's time to dive back into the deep end. And by deep end, I mean we're back to one book (two chapters, at least!) characters. And, unfortunately, one that doesn't merit a spot on ff.n's character list.

82. Gornuk

Ganging up with humans was distasteful, but it was better than being dead. Still, Gornuk could not shake his past experiences with mankind and the demeaning deeds they demanded of him and his kind. The powers in charge amongst humans might change, but they always seemed to give goblins the shaft — and not the nice, profitable, mining kind, either.

Now here he was, huddled around a pitiful fire with a ragtag band of fugitives. Griphook's recounting of his duplicity was heartening, but it wasn't the comforting tunnels under Gringott's. Pondering the flames, Gornuk hoped he, too, would soon get revenge.
