A.N. — In an earlier drabble, I mentioned a Seer named Cassandra. But she was a Trelawney, and this one isn't. To be fair, this lady is only a name on a textbook, but c'mon Jo, your names are usually better than this (even if this one is a play on a famous medium)...
87. Cassandra Vablatsky
For being widely considered a throwaway class at Hogwarts, the textbook used for Divination was actually quite well-written and informative. Of course, it helped that a renowned Seer (and not Hogwarts' resident "Seer") was its author.
Cassandra Vablatsky was respected in her field. She was even more respected for trying to plainly teach about a gift that was considered a "you have it or you don't" kind of thing. There was no obfuscation or florid details marring Unfogging the Future; Cassandra genuinely wanted knowledge of her craft dispersed. For a field full of riddles, that approach was a true revelation.
A.N. 2 — Sorry for not actually putting the list of non-tagged characters into chapter 1 until the next day. It is there now, and will continue to be updated as I write more drabbles for those side characters not deemed important enough to be searchable.
