A.N. — After four young folks in a row, it's time to get back to the much more populous adult character pool. Also, it's time for a periodical plea for reviews/ideas. I get tons of clicks and very little feedback, and April is a dry month for major characters/events in canon.

92. Mrs. Zabini

Mrs. Zabini's beauty set tongues wagging, but so too did her reputation as a husband killer. She employed both to her advantage. None of the seven deaths could be conclusively traced back to her, but it was widely assumed she'd orchestrated each spouse's mysterious demise.

None of the rumors, nor the deeds themselves, made Mrs. Zabini bat an eye. Securing her son's future was paramount. If it took murder to give her only child the safety of a feared family reputation and the gold to back it up, then that was a choice she'd make every time with no remorse.
