A.N. — It's time to get back to what sometimes seems to be this collection's true purpose: rooting out named characters from the books that aren't included in the character tags. Like the last such chapter, here's a female author of textbooks used at Hogwarts. Like the actual previous chapter, this one tackles the subject through the experience of another.
101. Miranda Goshawk
Ginny Weasley had a tiny girl crush on Miranda Goshawk.
She'd never met the woman, but Ginny sure knew her work. Besides the obvious Standard Book of Spells series, Ginny was the most renowned practitioner of the woman's self-made Bat-Bogey Hex. It could be found in Goshawk's original Book of Spells, locked away in the Restricted Section. The earlier book had included jinxes before being sanitized into the current Charms text it was today.
Ginny longed to shake Miranda's hand, but was quite sure Ms. Goshawk would be chagrined to have that be the thing she was sought out for.
