3rd POV
The scene opens on a black and white video. It then counted down before triumphant music blared through old speakers. The scene opens on a man dressed in a smart suit. Looking down at papers before looking up at the camera. As he speaks, the subtitles bellow read in Lattin.
For added effects play "End Titles (from the Motion Picture "News Of The World")"
"Hello, I'm Robert Hatchet. This CBS news. Today we look at the shape of the world as we know it." The man said before the footage cut's to Darwin, Australia. Multiple Soldiers carrying the flag of New Zealand. People were cheering as the soldiers moved through the crumbling city, the scene shifts to a uniformed man overlooking a war plan beside an imported American Jeep. He notices the camera and gives a friendly smile and wave. "After the failed attack on American soil last Christmas, Columbia has taken an interest into the remaining threat of Syndicalist menace. With aid from both the Bear of the West, and the Empire of the East, One Lord Bernard Freyberg managed to lead his troops onto the shores of Darwin, Townsville, Cairns, and Mackay. With the surprise attack the dubbed 'Salamander' had pushed south with plans of taking the Syndicalist capital by September. God speed Cousin Zealand. And to Freyberg we salute you."
The scene then shifts to the Island of Tiree off mainland Scotland. There multiple scientists conducted final safety procedure on machines. With it finished they step back, adjusting their safety glasses when a few moments later a sudden flash can be seen off in the distance. The music turned to hard royalty as members of the British military clapped in approval. "Meanwhile, our ever-growing rival has obtained the secrets of Nuclear obliteration. Our boys in the field are still trying to figure out how but regardless, it seems King George and John Bull has succeeded in their dreaded Lancelot project. Providence be with us my fellow Americans. We must act vigilant against both Royalist and Syndicalist scum of the world. But for now, we have sent aid to the Free Irish Nation in defense against those dirty royalist, as the boarder with our neighbor's tightens ever so."
That's when the scene shifts a Cartoon version of Efígie da República, Amaterasu, Zealandia, and kid Fillip. Walking side by side dressed in their respected countries military uniforms. It then shows them marching through the Gate to find a tried Bear wiping his brow over a hydra. The three then charged with fixed bayonets towards the Hydra. "With all that is going on, a ceasefire with the Empire from across the Gate has been installed. However, the Ceasefire seemed to be slow moving, with the number of raids our brave soldiers have pushed into Dumas Mountain range and Romaria Mountains. Reports stating that there were no casualties but sustained few severe injuries after the empires best resorted to pushing boulders. With the tensions coming from both sides of the boarders, President Nixon has called upon America's allies."
The film then cuts to San Francisco. Two large warships enter the Harbor. As they enter the scene cuts to Japanese Tanks, Brazilian Jipes, New Zealand Norton 16H motorcycles, and Philippines on hoarse back march through San Francisco. Being cheered by many Americans. "We have with us today America's closest allies and fellow defenders of Democracy. The Japanese Expeditionary Force as well as New Zealand trainees, led by Kenkichi Ueda, the Brazilian Expeditionary Force lead by Marshal João Baptista Mascarenhas de Morais, and recently an attachment from the Philippines whom agreed to serve under General White. As some old timers remember the 1930's liberty of Philippines act saw the small nation free from all American autonomy. While they did not enter the war, their care packages gave our front-line troops comfort in our darkest hour. We welcome our kid nation and all friends of the Bear."
"And now onto the most debated topic of the month, Alnus Hill. What started as a military base has expanded into a full-blown colony. It's gotten so big that as of now, there is a nation-wide polling to find out what the name of this settlement will be named. Our two highest polls include James Town, and Earp City. There of course is the runner up New Sacramento, but anything is possible. Now onto sports; The Los Angeles Angels going up against the Houston Colts, recent controversy against the name implying the 45 have been brought up. Henry Craft, the manager has this to say. "Texas is just as Western as those Californian Schmucks. If you want to change the name of gods caliber, then you're a no good Reedist." As the news reel goes on the view cuts back to show a studio filled with Alnus hill residents. Soldiers and natives alike. At the very back was Lelei, looking on dressed in a Tank top and boxer shorts. She had made her way to the bath house when she spotted the news room. As the reporter goes over the sports she shortly left.
She made her way to bath house, overlooking the changes with Alnus. After returning from the other side, the town had drastically changed. Tales about the other side fueled business and expansion. These ideas started out small, but once books on skills, cooking, brewing, language, and history begin circulating, the flood gate of capital opened. The town which once looked like a frontier has turned into an Adobe city with buildings being three stories high. A public eating spot dubbed, 'the homestead' was built at the center of town, many merchants, travelers, and militia members flocked to the place for a cheap meal and conversation. The marker where the Allied armies had died was expanded upon with a Lime statue. Even given an honor guard who watched it over at all time. Then there was the most recent and most Ambitious project yet. A railroad from Alnus to Italica was being established. It would be done by next month, and already there is much excitement.
Lelei's thoughts were cut off when she approached the Public Bath house. Much to her annoyance it was filled to the brim with multiple merchants. All were still debating about the goods and how it would affect sales of others. Knowing this could take hours. She heads back to her room, much to her annoyance she would have to bathe in a nearby lake. As she walks along, the view pulls away to the cliffs overlooking the city. There a lone figure, obscured by a cloak and turban. Looking down, the town looked like a paradise on a hill. Streets could practically be pathed in gold.
"Alnus…" The figure mused. "So this is where the men in Khaki hale from."
The figure looks on for a few more minutes before traveling down the steep road towards the town. As she does the scene shifts to the far-off Imperial Capital. In the home of third in line, Princess Pina.
In the capital, on the Eastern foot. Mansion of Pina Co Lada.
She was hard at work writing, reading, and translating documents. She has changed a lot since her trip to America. She had begone the transferring prisoners and slave captured from the raids. She had found a huge number of them, and thank the gods that most were left untouched. With this the reported American raids have become less frequent. She managed hash out a ceasefire but the soldiers with there damn pride caused them to lose fortifications on the mountains. They did manage to injure a few Americans… but only by pushing boulders down the hill. A far cry on what a soldier could do from when she was a child. Still, even with the loss of two key keeps, the progress has begone to show fruit. Her Rose Order Knights were released, untampered. Some even learn English, or enough to make the translations easy. And now soldiers from beyond the gate are to be released. The first fifteen will soon be released. The few she had carefully chosen, to assist her in negotiations.
As she worked on translating some transfers, her mind begins to wandered. Thinking back to those words Eastwood had mention. About this Amer-ican dream. She couldn't help but in vision herself in one of those Khaki uniform. Receiving some big medal for defeating Amer-ica's enemies. Course she shook her head free of those thoughts, recalling that the empire is Amer-ica's enemy. There may be peace but it was only a ceasefire. Just then Hamilton walked in with an imported tea cup.
"Princes Pina… Did you not sleep at your bed again?" Hamilton asked noticing the marks on Pina's arm. "(Sigh) If you aren't going to rest even after returning to the imperial city, it will begin to affect your health."
"I have to lay the groundwork for peace talk Hamilton. The senate had more time to prepare their debate on refinancing the army and I barely had time to work with the pro peace party." Pina said as she rubs her sore arms.
"Uh huh, and will you at least take a bath before meeting with the Representatives?" Hamilton asked.
"That, I will agree to." Pina said as she gets up.
The two head to the private bathing room. Disrobing herself she entered the room tempter water. It was nothing like the American bathing system but perhaps when this war is over, she can have the bath house fixed to produce heated water. As she bathes Hamilton listed off her schedule for today, course Pina wasn't paying attention. Hamilton had just gotten to the part where they need a replacement for the White Rose captain did, she paid attention.
"Hmm, Hasn't Shandy Gaff exchanged vows of sisterhood with Panache?" Pina questions as she steps out of the bath.
"Sadly no my grace. She requested to travel to Alnus, with Panache for 'Diplomatic' meeting." Hamilton explains much to Pina's amusement.
"Heh… Very well. I'll deal with the matter later. But for now I need to attend to the representatives." Pina said as a maid approached her with a towel. She then begins to dry herself before turning to Hamilton. "Do you have the list?"
"Right here your Majesty." Hamilton said as she looked through the papers in hand, retrieving a single parchment of paper. Pina sat down on a nearby couch and allowed the maid to dry her hair. She overlooked the list before noticing something.
"Isn't there supposed to be fifteen in the first group? Why is there only fourteen names?" Pina questions.
"By your request the last name be removed and put upon this paper." Hamilton remarks as she produce a small parchment.
"Ah yes I recall. It's the Lords Nephew. Wonderful." Pina said as she puts the paper down. "Has the Representatives arrived?"
"They have, and been waiting for you for some time now." Hamilton remarks.
"Ah, best not to keep them waiting and longer." Pina said as she goes to get change.
The scene then moves to the dining room. There two individuals dressed in noble togas waited patiently. One stood in a presentable but protective manner while the other sat waiting annoyedly. He looks down at his watch before revealing his face.
"She's taking her sweat time." Bobby Kennedy remarks.
"Well, they don't have cloaks here, Mr. Kennedy." Agent Connor remarks.
"Hmm… maybe that should be the first thing to export when this war is over." Kennedy remarks as he taps his fingers against the table. By orders of the president he travel to the Capital of the empire to act as a representative. Currently his wife, and his children including Taraunta, have been living in the Jade Palace. A residential manner on the outskirts of the city that Pina had titleship of since she was a little girl. While it provided as an excellent Embassy for Bobby and staff, he felt a bit uncomfortable by the number of 'Greek posing' statues, as his wife put it. They waited for a few more minutes before the doors open and out stepped Pina.
"Ah, Howdy Lord Representative Kennedy. Good to meet again." Pina said in a broken English.
"Likewise, your majesty, but all the same It's best if we communicate in your own language." Kennedy said with a smile.
"Very well, I do apologies for keeping you waiting. Shall I treat you to breakfast?" Pina offered.
"That would be wonderful, hadn't had anything to eat since yesterday." Kennedy said with a smile. Pina gives a nod before giving a signal to the maids. A few moments later, the maids return with a hot plate of… oatmeal. Complimentary with a few figs. To be honest Kennedy expected something a bit grander.
"Is something the matter Lord Representative Kennedy?" Pina asked as she slowly ate a fig.
"Bobby please, and no. Not to sound rude, but I'd figured that you were going to offer something a bit grand then oats?" Kennedy replied as he takes a bite of his bland oatmeal.
"I would, but we are going to attend a feast at the Lord Cicero's home. I fear if we have a proper breakfast it will kill our stomachs." Pina explains as she slowly chews her food.
"Oh, well that is something to behold. Doubt it be a problem for me." Kennedy said in a boastful tone as Pina gives an unsure look.
Hours later In Lord Cicero's homestead.
The view shifts from Pina's royal dining room, to the feast at Lord Cicero's house hold. Multiple senators, noblemen, and warriors of many titles sat around feasting on succulent dishes. Boar, elk, and fish being the prime meals but there was substituted deserts that filled the table. As they gorged on the foot and talked loudly, Pina sat amusingly beside Kennedy. He was struggling to breath with a plate filled with oysters and brazen ham. He was thanking all kinds of gods that he wasn't wearing a belt, though he swear the next time he's invited to one of these events he will fast for a day.
"So, is this what you in vision for hospitality Lord Representative Bobby Kennedy?" Pina asked with wide smirk.
"Ugh, who'd though… a ham … be the end of me." Kennedy managed to blurt out in pain.
"Sir, I think you have enough." Agent Connor points out, before a devilish smirk appears on his face. He then grabs a place of sweat cakes and remarks, "Otherwise you won't have room for dessert."
Kennedy nearly vomited at the sight but kept it together. As he gasps and breath for relief, two figures walked through the front door. The room erupted into applause as the man waved to them. It didn't take Agent Connor long to figure out who was the center of attention.
"I presume that's Cicero La Moltose?" Connor asked.
"Lord Cicero La Moltose and yes. He's an important member of Maltose family. His family has existed since creation of the empire." Pina explains as she takes a sip from her wine goblet.
"And if intel is correct, he wields a significant amount of power among your imperial senate." Agent Connor remarks as he pulls a flask from his toga.
"Your knowledge of our empire is quite terrifying Sir Connor." Pina remarks with an untrusting looking on her face.
"I'll take that as a compliment." Agent Connor replies with a smirk. "Now, only thing I got to ask is, why him?"
"Well, as you know most likely know, the senate is split between two factions. The Pro peace, and Pro war factions. The Pro faction wishes to reform the army under the army under the authority of the emperor as soon as possible and retake Alnus with armed forces." Pina remarks as she thinks about what that would look. Bodies stretching for miles, every soldier marked by how long it took to die rather then how many killed. She then shook that horrifying image from her head and continued. "The opposing factions wishes to the reform the army under the control of the senate. At the same time, negotiate to have you Amer-icans return beyond the gate."
"Hmm, so you chose a pro-war faction senator with a lot of sway to possible change his mind. Hmm, not a bad idea Princess." Agent Conor said with a nod before taking a swig from his flask.
"Thank you, sir Connor." Pina said with a small smirk as she stands up. "Now if you excuse me I will be making my presence know to lord Cicero La Moltose. Can you get Lord representative Bobby Kennedy to the guest room? I'll be arriving in thirty minutes with the lord to make introductions."
Conner gives a nod before assisting Kennedy to the guest room. There he tried to recover from over consumption. Like before Pina was late, thankfully by an additional thirty minutes. By the time lord Cicero La Moltose had entered, Kennedy had recovered from the meal. Pina then introduced the lord to Kennedy.
"Lord Cicero La Moltose. This is Ameri-can Diplomatic representative Lord Bobby Kennedy." Pina said introducing the two.
"A pleasure to meet you." Kennedy said with a faint smile.
"Like wise, but forgive me. I never heard of your countries name before. What is it like?" Lord Cicero La Moltose asked.
"It's a massive country. With many regions that our people could experience vast amount of beauty without ever leaving it's boarders." Kennedy said causing the lord to roll his eyes as the level of humility. Seeing this Kennedy gives a small smirk, "But I suppose the landscape isn't as important as what my nation can offer in trade. To which I present some gifts from my countries finest craftsmen."
Kennedy gives a nod the princess who proceed to invite the staff in. As the staff begins setting up the presentation the lord and his wife went to retrieve wine from a nearby servant. He was unimpressed by Kennedy's humility. Far as he knew he was a hic from a barbaric country that was looking to avoid being sucked into another country. As he was preparing to spend a boring hour looking over the crude artifacts, he eyes looked over the wide table and he nearly dropped his goblet. The table was decorated with multiple goods. Decretive plates made up a white clay, soft and well-tailored fabric of unknow origins, trinkets that were carved to perfection by hand. It was beyond anything Lord Cicero could ever imagine to find in the capital.
He approaches the table picking up a beautiful hand carved oak pipe when he noticed the sword. A thin but firm saber with a golden guard. Removing it from the naval blue sheath he was surprise to see how polish the blade was. It reflected like a Mirror and yet held firm as any blade of the empire. His own sword that he polished never looked as clean as this weapon. As his wife marvels over a pocket watch, he quickly turned to Kennedy.
"Forgive my lack of interest Lord Kennedy. I never realize your country had such talented craftsmen. Where was your country again?" Lord Cicero asked.
"Sadly it's on the other side of the gate." Kennedy said causing Lord Cicero's eyes to widen in horror. "The country that your empire is currently at war with."
"By the gods." Lord Cicero said before turning to the staff. "Out, EVERYONE OUT! We must discuss something in private!"
The staff looked on with a stun look. But they complied, quickly leaving as Lord Cicero turned to the Princess with rage in his eyes. "Your majesty, this is akin to treason! It will be for the axe men if your lucky! And you, Lord Kennedy. Don't think this will be over. In a few month's time our forces will be in the hundred thousand. They shall march back and destroy your country. So don't bother bribing me with your trinkets!"
"Oh, I'd figure you say as much. Perhaps this will be a more reasonable alternative." Kennedy said as he pulls a piece of paper from his Toga. Lord Cicero was taken back by how white the parchment is, but excepts it none the less. Opening the note, he was shocked, it was a well detailed photo of his nephew from his wifes side of the family. The words written in the corner shook the lord.
"My… My nephew… he's alive?" Lord Cicero nearly fainted with joy.
"Yes, he was captured at the Battle of Sacramento and has been a prisoner of war for nearly a year now." Kennedy answers.
"Dear gods… did Princes Pina pay for his Ransom?" Lord Cicero asked.
"Not at all. We don't do paid Ransome. He is being freed unconditional thanks in part of Pina's effort for opening the door to negotiation. He and fourteen more." Kennedy explains causing the lord to let out a small sigh of relief. His mind begins to turn as he thought about the implications it can have.
"So… you want me to assist in representing in the senate?" Lord Cicero asked.
"Not at all Princess Pina has already offered to do so. We just want you to listen to not get in the way of talks until after they are submitted into discussion in your senate." Kennedy explains. Lord Cicero takes a moment to think it over. If he Disrupts the negotiation, his nephew may never see his native land again. As he pounders, Pina steps in.
"Lord Cicero, I will be attending the birthday of Marcquis Ducie daughter tonight. There uncle was another captured in the war and I'd like to deliver the good news of his safe return. Would you like to accompany me?" Pina asked. Lord Cicero thought about it for a few moments before knelling before the crown princess.
"It will be my honor your highness. I thank you for what you have done." Lord Cicero said as he kisses her ring. Pina gives a nod and leaves the room, allowing for Kennedy to explain the different items present. As she leaves the scene shifts to the Streets of Alnus hill.
In Alnus just outside the gate
The streets were livelier then ever before. Hundreds of Americans military and civilian along with natives of the land came to watch a parade marching from the gates. Foreign soldiers with different reasons have joined a joint expeditionary force. As they march to the newly established base, Eastwood watches from the side. A mug of ale in hand, and cheeseburger in another. As he looks on at the marching crowed, he can hear a voice call out to him in the midst of the crowed.
"Eastwood! Eastwood! Eastwood!... OLD MAN!" Rory called out. Eastwood turned his head before spotting Rory waving off to him. Eastwood gives a lazy nod before continuing to eat his meal. As he munches down on his cheeseburger, Rory annoyed by the lack of attention came on over and smacked the burger out of Eastwoods hand. "Hey, didn't you hear me old man?"
"… (Sigh), yeah I did. Just wanted to enjoy my lunch before the squabs chirp." Eastwood replies in English earning a swat on the back of his head.
"Who you calling a Squab? Besides things are much interesting now that more soldiers are entering." Rory said in English as she licked her lips in excitement.
"Hardly. They are here simply for training and to provide extra security. Odds are they will not likely see combat." Eastwood waved off before hearing a chuckle.
"Heh, Karera wa yori yoidesu. Sentō ga okoranakereba hazubeki kotodesu." A voice from behind. Eastwood's suddenly peps up as he turns to see his old Friend. Kin had bandages wrapped around his arm and stitches over his cheek. He was missing a bit of his nose but seems to healing fairly well.
"Kin, you Kuso yarō!" Eastwood called out as he approaches Kin.
"Dakara iu, the ugly American." Kin remarks with a small smirk. The two soldiers give each other a salute before Eastwood gives Kin a hug. Kin didn't reciprocate, but allowed it.
"The hell you doing here? Thought you were fighting the Syndicalist out in Australia?" Eastwood asked as he backs away.
"I was, but I was injured by one of their grenades." Kin remarks pointing to his nose. He then gives a shrug before remarking, "So with the time, I'd figure I see my Musume off on her first combative role."
"Your Daughter?" Eastwood asked with a brow raised.
Kin gives a nod before taking a serious stance. He then called out "Kyaputenkin, chūō ni ite junbi ga dekite imasu!"
Upon that, a young women barley out of her teens approached the three. Wearing a tropical blouse that resembles something similar to the one's Marines wear. The button up undershirt was folded outward not covering her rank on the collar. Her pants were tucked into shin high boots. Her hair was cut down to a near bob with bangs being eccentric part of her hair. She had an Imperial hat and the tetsukabuto helmet tied to her back. She was armed with an American loaded weapon, the Springfield rifle and equipped with a S&W 36. The only weapons from her own country was her family Wakizashi along with a Katan by her waist. She looks up and gives a salute before replying. "Kyaputenkinhikaru. San-banme no kaisha On'na musha no rīdā ga ninmu o hōkoku shimasu."
Eastwood gives a salute and with a nod from her father she relaxes. She then looked at Eastwood for a few moments before giving a bow. In a broken English she remarks, "It's an honor to serve with Eastwood."
"Hmm, Likewise Hikaru. If you are anything like your old man then I recon the enemy would be running for the hills within the hour." Eastwood remarks.
"I'd hope not. I'm interested in seeing what this little girl can do with that small sword." Rory remarks earing a slap from Eastwood and a dirty look from Hikaru.
"Sorry about that. She's an idiot." Eastwood remarks.
"Is she the one who can not die?" Hikaru asked as she held her hand on her blade.
"Hikaru, kangae mo shinaide…" Kin scolded before adding, "…ochitsuku made matte kara oni ni chōsen."
Giving a nod Hikaru let's go of her blade but continues to stare at Rory with a serious glair. Rory of course took the advantage to poke fun at Hikaru. Seeing that Eastwood quickly intervened by remarking, "You mention the captain of the Onna-Musha. If I'm not mistaken, that's the first all-female brigade. Must be exciting."
"It is my honor. There haven't been an Onna-Musha since the Satsuma rebellion. It is my hope to honor my country as well as those who held the title of Onna-Musha." Hikaru said with a small hint of pride in her tone.
Eastwood gives a nod before noticing the Japanese forces in the parade leaving behind for the Philippine brigade. "Well, I'd like to discuss more but I'm do to leave at sixteen hundred hours. But when I get back I'd like to discuss more."
Hikaru gives a nod before turning to salute her father. He returns the salute before heading off to return to her brigade. Once gone Eastwood asked the question that was on his mind. "Kin… how's my wife and son doing?"
"She's alright. Both she and your son had safely made it to Japanese soil. Admittedly I'm terrified that she will implement ideas to my wife. Speaking of which." Ken then turned to Rory and pulled something from his bag. "She asked for me to give you this and a message."
Rory goes silent as she received the gift. It was a single left sandal but just holding it in hand filled her with dread. The next few words Kin spoke nearly made her jump out of her skin. "Try anything, and you'll know the wrath of the right one."
"Um… thanks. Um, I think Wolf needs my help with security. Um see you around. Um… bye." Rory flusters to say before racing away in utter fear.
After disappearing around the corner Eastwood leans down to pick up the sandal that she dropped. As he does he asked Kin, "Is that what she really said?"
"As you Americans say, in between the lines. I don't speak Spanish." Kin remarks gaining a nod from Eastwood.
"Hmm… well I don't ship out for a few more hours. Would you like to get some lunch?" Eastwood asked.
"Fine, but please no ribs. Your American cooking will be the death of me." Kin remarks as he pats his gut. Eastwood gives a smirk as he and Kin made their way to get some food from one of the new restaurants in town. As they do, the scene shifts to another part of Alnus. At the bottom of the hill, the nations who sent vollenteers were being stationed in individual barracks. The commanding officers of course were the exception. General Alexander wanted the multiple commanders to sleep in the same barracks. Hoping to foster respect for one another like he did during the second American Civil war.
Hikaru made her way inside the barracks. There she found an empty cot and proceeded to set her things down when a voice called out from the other side. "Essa cama foi reivindicada."
"Excuse me?" Hikaru asked as she turns to see a bronze skin man fiddling with a pan flute."
"The bed, already been claimed." The man said in English as he sits up revealing a Brazilian flag on his uniform. Hikaru gives a nod before moving to another bed. Just before she could place her things down the man remarks, "That one is also taken."
"… Alright, which one isn't taken?" Hikaru asked.
"Um… guess that one." The man said pointing to a bed at the end of the hall. The one in clear view of the bathroom.
"… Who may I ask has claimed this bed? Last I'd check I'm the second high ranking individual here." Hikaru asked trying hard to hold back her anger at this disrespect.
"The Cerveja." The man replies earing a raised brow from Hikaru.
"The what?" She asked as the man walked over to the bed. He flipped over the mattress revealing a hollowed-out bed with beer taking its place. "I barley could get them through the gate and had to 'confiscate' it. Hey you want one? It's five O'clock somewhere."
Hikaru gave an annoyed glance as the man took one of the beers and shotgunned it. It sprayed out hitting Hikaru in the face. After finishing he let's out a loud burp in Hikaru's face. The man looked over at the Hikaru who was trying hard not to rip this Brazilian boy a new one. Not noticing the anger on his face he grabs another beer before offering it to her.
"You like one Soldadinho?" He asked before giving her a slap on the ass. That proved to be the straw that broke the camel's back. Without thinking Hikaru quickly pulled her Wakizashi and effortlessly sliced the can beer perfectly before kicking the Brazilian across the room.
"Ugh, What the hell?" The man asked before noticing Hikaru pulling out her Katana. "Wait, don't!"
But it was to late, she begins hacking away at the smuggled beer. Teers run down the man's face as the amber brown liquid ran dry from the cans. After hacking the can's the man pulled himself to his feet before racing towards her, Mauser knife in hand. She easily caught the blade before twisting the weapon out of his hand. She tried to through him down, but he quickly turns the tables and throw her to the ground. He goes to strike her but she dodges and he ended up twisting him with a headlock. She nearly choked the Brazilian out till he grabbed the back of the head. Before she could react he placed his lips against hers. She couldn't move and eventually let's go to try and pull out only to be suckered punched in the face. She stumbles back before coming to her senses. In a rage she reaches for her katana as the man grabs a nearby Baseball bat. Seeing him give a smirk before making a kissy face enraged Hikaru. The two charged at each other and begin to strike at one another with their weapons. As they do, the door's open and three soldiers entered. A young New Zealand, a fresh face Philippian, and a young American had entered their barracks to find the two fighting.
"Christ, Captain Kin!" The New Zealander shouts as he raced over to put an end to the fight.
"I'll kill him! Kare ni wa meiyo ga arimasen!" Hikaru shouts as she tries to slash the Brazilians face off.
"Whoa put an end to this now!" The American shouts as he grabs the Brazilian. "Don't make me pull rank Capitão Delmo!"
"The cadela destroyed a week supply of good beer!" The Brazilian known as Capitão Delmo screamed in anger.
"We are soldiers! We have a duty to follow orders with Honor!" Hikaru snaps in anger.
"Uh huh, that'll be the day! The cadela can go suck it!" The Capitão Delmo shouts causing Hikaru to nearly break free and strangle the man when the Philippine soldier quickly grabbed her with the help of the New Zealander struggles to hold them back.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Break it up now!" The American commander called out as the Philippines and New Zealander struggled to hold back Hikaru.
"That Sono meiyo no nai rokudenashi ga shiharau tsumoridesu!" Hikaru shouts in anger as the two hold her back.
"Speak English you fish woman!" Capitão Delmo shouts causing her to rage out again. She broke free and Capitão Delmo managed to get out of the American they fight on the American soldier let's out a small sigh as he moves to the door. He whistles to the MP and sure enough the two were dragged out kicking and punching one another as the three watched on.
"(Sigh) Not what I'd expected to be for our first shindig." The American commander said as he scratched the back of his head.
"Hmm, talk about first days blues, G.I's." The New Zealander remarks.
"Hmm… G.I Blues, that could be the start of a song." The man remarks as he pulls out a guitar from his belonging.
"Never took you for musician First Lieutenant." The Philippine soldier said as she sat across from him.
"Please call me Elvis. We are the same rank." The American command remarks as he tunes his guitar.
"Um not quite. I'm actually Private first Class." The Philippine soldier explained.
"Really, isn't this barracks made high ranking soldiers?" the New Zealander asked as he inspects the bed only to find a stockpile of beer underneath.
"I am, most high ranking soldiers trained in Japan, but not wanting to get in a war with Australia they send us here. Figure we will get minimal amount of combat." Philippine explained as she felt uncomfortable on the strange bedding.
"Eh, well I hope that it would be brief. Don't want my mother worrying about me." Elvis said as he practices a few notes.
"Then why are you here Yank?" The New Zealander asks.
"These roman fools invaded my country. It's my duty to serve." Elvis replies honestly as he repeats the tune on his guitar. "Sides way I see it, I get to see another world. My family never had anyone attend college, much less leave the country for a long time. Plus it's nice to make new friends, what about you Murphy? You and Ms. Tala here training away from the battlefield?"
"Something like that. Got a cousin fighting them reds in the outback while I'm stuck here. Least I know a few faces." The New Zealander said as he removes one of the beers and hid it on his person.
"Hmm, well I'm glad to see the world. Always wanted to visit America." The Philippine girl named Tala remarks.
"Always wanted to tour the world, what's the Philippines like?" Elvis asked. A bit excited Tala begins to tell First Lieutenant Elvis about what her home is like. As she does, Elvis listens with interest as he practices his guitar.
Hello everybody, Wombag1786 here.
Another short chapter but I think I made peace with not writing 10,000 word chapters. Was hell on my mind and it helps get these chapters out much quicker. Now this was a relatively enjoyable chapter to write. We get to see a bit of news from the outside world, news from the capital, a hint about a certain dark elf, and we see Rory scared shitless by a sandal. But that all pales in comparison to what I will dub, the Misfits Brigade. The American representative of this mismatch brigade is the one the only, The only king that I'd ever bow to, Elvis Presley. Heh talk about having 'Such A Night', I'm literally 'All Shook Up'. But a 'Little Less Conversation', for now. Heh, this is honestly going to be very entertaining to showcase and give me some room to write more interesting stories within this story.
But for now let's answer some questions and comments.
From Perseus12: Same, though I did watch a walk through of all the games. It wasn't till I read Hell Gate by Nivilack that the idea formed in my head.
Thanks for writing Perseus12
From Maroon567: Yeah, Nivilack's Hell Gate story was an inspiration of this bit.
Heh, trust me first chance I get I would love to write the story. Might write a pilot chapter and post it somewhere.
Yeah, that idea was something similar to Datguy7788's "Isaac Clarke: Hunter Extraordinaire" story. Opens with Isaac falling from Aegis 7, he excepts death but cruelly never does. He crawls through the tunnels unaware he passed through the gate and finds himself in another world. He questions his sanity but eventually travels along the road. That's the basic idea behind why I had the gate open on Aegis 7.
Thanks for writing Maroon567.
From Amon34: Thanks.
Thanks for writing Amon34.
Well with that all done I'm glad to get started with the second season. There will be more excitement coming up but for now I'll leave this appetizer out for y'all to enjoy over Thanksgiving. Please Fav and Fol the story, leave a comment or question as well.
This is Wombag1786 signing off.
