Yuffie stared into the darkness of his apartment, uncharacteristically silent.
Wordlessly, Reno sat down, back against the wall, his knee brushing against hers.
"He was a real shitty father," she murmured, letting out a frustrated sigh. "Never saw him. Too damn busy with his duties. He was real disappointed I wasn't a boy too, y'know?"
Still quiet, he fiddled with his lighter.
"Never got to say bye." A small sniffle could be heard.
There was a sudden weight on his shoulder, and he shifted his body, his arm wrapping around her; she snuggled into him.
"Thanks, Turkey."
"Sure thing, brat."
