Harriet drifted in and out of consciousness as the painful warmth of her first cycle crashed over her.
She curled against Tom while he ordered the metallic snakes that guarded the Chamber of Secrets' outer door to open the entrance for his access.
Harriet became vaguely aware that the sound of trickling water seemed nearby, but the next thing she knew, she felt herself be lifted out of Tom's arms and into the air.
She opened her eyes when she felt something firmly grab onto her ankles as her arms were stretched above her head.
"T-Tom……?!" Harriet gasped with wide eyes.
She fought through the weight of her plight to look around.
Harriet found herself deep in the Chamber of Secrets, suspended in the air by billowing, black bonds created by…….Dark Magic.
"Do you feel better, Harriet Snape~?" Tom asked with a wicked smirk as he gazed up at her, "I admit, I can't offer you much of a nest in the way of pillows and blankets, but I can guarantee your safety here."
"W-What…?!" Harriet stammered as she swallowed thickly while Tom removed his school robes and carelessly tossed them aside.
Harriet watched him point his wand at her as he gently lowered her down towards the ground, although he did not release her from her enchanted chains.
"There, that's better." Tom said with a charming smile, "I suppose I can't become your alpha with you hanging in the air like that, can I?"
"M-My alpha…..?" Harriet gasped as Tom leaned in and pressed a wet kiss to her lips.
While the thought of snogging Tom Riddle was more than appealing to Harriet, she hadn't been expecting his blatant display of affection.
Caught off guard, she flinched visibly at his unwarranted intrusion.
Tom angrily pulled away as soon as Harriet showed him the slightest hint of resistance.
A dark scowl formed on his face as he growled, "You dare have the audacity to refuse me?!"
Harriet narrowed her eyes while Tom grit his teeth and cried, "I am giving you the opportunity to mate with the Dark Lord himself! Don't tell me you're as daft as all the others, Harriet Snape, I know you're smarter than them!"
Harriet's eyes widened at the animosity that crept threateningly onto Tom's handsome face.
"You will be mine, omega." He glowered at her as he took a step forward and prepared to capture her lips again.
"WE'LL SEE ABOUT THAT!" A brazen shout rang out.
Tom whirled around just in time to see a bright flash of light hurtle towards him as another cry followed the first, "EXPELLIARMUS!"
Harriet shrieked as the blast hit Tom squarely in the chest and knocked him backwards.
She heaved for breath as she looked over to identify her savior.
"MALFOY!" She exclaimed.
Draco stood triumphant as he faced Tom with his wand in his hand and his chin held high.
Determined to rescue Harriet, adrenaline and the intoxicating pheromones that her condition caused her to release bolstered his bravado.
A groan sounded as Tom rose to his feet with a dangerous grimace plastered on his handsome face.
"You'll pay dearly for that, you wretched little worm!" Tom hissed at his enemy.
Draco held his wand and prepared to fight to the death for Harriet, but he underestimated the huge mistake that his nemesis had made by leaving the path to the Chamber of Secrets unsealed and the door wide open.
A sound similar to the blast of a bomb echoed through the room and interrupted the impending duel between the two young, warring wizards.
"Stop right there, both of you!" Albus Dumbledore's loud voice boomed as he charged forward with Professor McGonagall and……
"DAD!" Harriet shrieked.
Severus scowled over at his daughter before he turned his threatening glare onto Tom Riddle.
"Mr. Malfoy, I'll thank you to put your quarrel with Mr. Riddle to rest now. You are both students, after all…..Please allow the staff of Hogwarts to sort this matter instead." Dumbledore nodded at Draco before he turned to Tom, "Mr. Riddle, you are to come with us for immediate expulsion and transport to the Ministry for a proper hearing. Abduction with the intent to commit assault is a serious crime."
"You daft, old fool!" Tom spat, "Tom Riddle was the name I was known by long ago, in the days of my early youth. I should thank this halfwit in front of me!" He sneered as he glanced at Draco, "Without him stealing my diary and using it to form a bond with the girl, my return would never have been this easy!"
"What are you saying, Mr. Riddle?!" McGongagall shouted with her lips pursed.
She asked what she already knew.
"Tom Riddle is the name given to me on the wretched day of my birth! I am and always will be Lord Voldemort, Heir of Salazar Slytherin!" Tom shouted.
"Tom," Dumbledore said warningly, "Do not make this more difficult for yourself than it must be."
Dumbledore, McGonagall, and Severus all removed their wands and pointed them at their evil student, ready to attack, defend, or both.
Tom just cracked an eerie grin and began to whisper in Parseltongue.
A grating, sliding sound came from along the walls as the teachers glanced around frantically.
Tom laughed as he watched everyone's faces twist in horror while the Basilisk slithered into the room with a loud hiss.
"Whatever you do, don't look into the creature's eyes!" Dumbledore shouted as he prepared to battle the giant serpent.
"Mr. Malfoy!" Severus shouted at Draco.
Draco glanced over at his professor and listened as Severus ordered, "Take my daughter away from here!"
Severus used his own knowledge of the Dark Arts to fire a counter curse from the tip of his wand that released Harriet from her smoke-like binds.
Draco raced forward and caught her in his arms as she tumbled free.
He wasted no time in racing for the exit while he clutched her to his chest.
"DAD!" Harriet shouted as she reached towards her father.
Her heart pounded while she watched him aid his colleagues in the vicious fight that raged between the educators of Hogwarts and Tom Riddle.
Draco held Harriet close and swallowed the drool that kept gathering in his mouth as he breathed in her sweet scent.
Eventually, he managed to drag his darling back to the surface of the castle, but by then, it was too late.
Harriet's heart felt as tender as her body while she looked up at Draco with her emerald eyes shining brightly.
As Draco stared down at his beloved, her green gaze hypnotized him into a state of concentrated yearning.
He slowly realized that he could no longer hold onto his thoughts.
He had to take Harriet to the Hospital Wing and let Madam Pomfrey determine she hadn't been injured.
He had to take Harriet to the Hospital Wing and let…...
He had to take Harriet……
He had to…….
Draco forgot about the Hospital Wing completely and clung to the absolute truth…….he had to take Harriet.
A low, husky growl came from his chest.
The sound thrilled Harriet down to her bones as Draco staggered out of the abandoned lavatory with her and put his hand on the door to the Room of Requirement that materialized on the corridor's wall.
As the couple disappeared into a private area of Hogwarts where Harriet could comfortably nest, the ambient candlelight seemed nearly as soft and inviting as the comfy, plush bed that had been thoughtfully placed in the middle of the room.

In his enfeebled form, Tom Riddle was no match for Dumbledore, especially not with the talented reinforcements at the skilled, elderly wizard's side.
Professors Dumbledore, Snape, and McGonagall soon defeated the Basilisk.
Shortly afterwards, Tom Riddle was taken into custody upon his removal from the castle by an entire team of experienced aurors.
Draco crept out of the Room of Requirement only long enough to learn of his enemy's fall and his professors' survival at his daring's vehement insistence.
"My father's alright?" Harriet asked that evening once he returned.
"He's perfectly fine." Draco replied with a nod.
Silence fell between them as their eyes met.
Draco walked over to Harriet's nest and waited patiently as she moved over.
His heart raced while he watched her instinctively part her legs in a welcoming gesture.
Draco crawled over her with his heart racing as their lips met softly.
He had told his lover a lie.
Severus wasn't perfectly fine, he was beside himself with worry over his daughter's unknown whereabouts.
Neither Harriet nor Draco gave that matter much consideration as they spent the rest of the night in each other's arms learning about love, passion, and the joyful bliss that came with finding a proper mate.
Early the next morning, Draco gave his beloved one last, passionate kiss before they emerged from the Room of Requirement, disheveled and out of sorts.
Draco brought Harriet to the Hospital Wing at last.
They both made up wild fantasies about the unexpected perils they had encountered the previous day which had thrown their path dreadfully off course and delayed their arrival.
Madam Pomfrey seemed skeptical, but Severus and Lily rushed to Harriet's bedside right away, too relieved about their daughter's safe return to ask any further questions right then.
Neither Severus nor Lily realized that Harriet and Draco had bonded with each other.

Severus could not sense his daughter's heat due to the fact that Harriet was his child, but Lily had not possessed his same lack of insight.
Perhaps it was the relief of knowing her daughter had escaped her ordeal, the pride she took in her husband's brave handling of the situation, or being exposed to Harriet's hormones, but less than one week after Harriet's harrowing abduction, Severus received a wonderful gift from his wife as Lily experienced a heavy, rich heat.
Professor Snape had taken the rest of the week off in an uncharacteristically selfish gesture after his wife had woken Wednesday morning to claw at his sleeping trousers with her nipples tight and her center wet.
Together, Mr. and Mrs. Snape made a genuine effort to break the bed that Lily had hurriedly nested on while they spent hours coupling.
At the end of that incredible four days, while Eileen looked after her grandsons downstairs, Lily laughed as she lay on Severus's chest.
He heaved for breath as he stared at his wife in amazement of her unrelenting energy and stamina, which he had worked very diligently to match.
"I love you, Sev." Lily whispered as she lifted her head and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips.
"Tell me, Mrs. Snape, was your offer sincere?" Severus drawled as Lily moved away after he returned her kiss.
Lily blinked at him until Severus explained, "...For another daughter?"
Her emerald eyes sparkled as a bright smile lit up her beautiful face.
Lily glowed with the hope of new beginnings as she chuckled at her alpha and replied, "Yeah, Sev, my offer was quite sincere."
As they snuggled together, Severus and Lily shared another passionate, intimate kiss.
In their kiss, Lily tasted Severus's devotion.
In their kiss, Severus tasted his wife's love.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Snape relished their luxurious treats.
