177. Pigwidgeon
Pigwidgeon was not the brightest post owl around. He knew nothing of the dangers he flew through daily, protected only by the spells layered by the wizards over their avian mail carriers. Otherwise, the miniature Scops owl would've been a predator's snack long ago.
That lack of knowledge allowed the little puffball to take an inordinate amount of pride in his work, even when he didn't perform properly. Landings were still a work in progress, and even locating the recipient was sometimes beyond Pig.
Luckily, Pig was cute, and that bought a lot of forgiveness from all who met him.
