A.N. — Now, for back-to-back Ministers for Magic. This man died on August 1, but I've already slotted another there. So he'll have to settle for this one, where he might've met his Muggle counterpart.
184. Rufus Scrimgeour
Merlin, Rufus still wished he was an Auror. At least then he'd have a legal excuse for spelling those who annoyed him — a list that'd lengthened considerably since becoming Minister for Magic.
As the British magical government's leader, Scrimgeour's words and deeds were constantly under examination. Rufus far preferred operating behind the scenes, or in the field. He was a man of action, and his hands were somewhat tied sitting behind a desk.
He had so many problems to fix, and Rufus was of the mind he was better situated to solve them in his old position as Head Auror.
