A.N. — On the date of Ignotus Peverell's birth, it's time to touch upon one of his brothers. I very much doubt many will read this today, as this tiny drabble is competing against the huge Euro 2020 final. But this is my posting window, and I'm sticking to it, footy or no!
192. Antioch Peverell
History could never agree whether Antioch Peverell crafted the Elder Wand himself or was truly gifted it by Death. The surviving accounts did concur, however, that Antioch's combative nature and boasting over his ownership of the Deathstick were what got his throat slit.
Antioch preceded his two younger brothers in death, not an unexpected occurrence. But both Cadmus and Ignotus had long been resigned to the fact that their elder brother would meet an early end. They saw Antioch enamored with his prize, and commiserated with each other that as long as he was happy, who were they to interfere?
