A.N. — Now for some humor to break the dour mood. I was gonna do Robert Hilliard here, but unlike fellow 1991 prefect Gemma Farley, he's not important enough in canon or fanon to be in ff.n's character list. So have another school-age Ravenclaw bloke: he's in book 5 but not the site's tags.

194. Eddie Carmichael

He'd heard of Hermione Granger confiscating Harold Dingle's "study aids," but Eddie wasn't worried. He was a Ravenclaw, definitely smarter than Dingle and surely able to evade detection.

His wares were actually store-bought concoctions; Dingle's were supposedly dried doxy droppings. Eddie's sales pitch was better, too. Claiming his Exilir earned him nine Outstanding O.W.L.s was a surefire seller. And at 12 Galleons a bottle, the windfall was worth the risk.

But word traveled too fast, and sure enough, Granger finally busted Eddie, too. Couldn't she have been up to her usual shenanigans with Potter and Weasley, instead of hassling him?
