Arabella owed Dumbledore for giving her a purpose later in life, but by Merlin she sometimes hated the man.
Every time a timid, tiny Harry Potter entered her home, it shook the faith Arabella held in the leader of the light. It took much willpower to treat the boy with mere neighborly concern whilst in her care, and even more not to floo to Hogwarts and give its headmaster a piece of her mind once Harry left. Seeing the flash of surprise in Harry's eyes every time she showed him a basic kindness broke Arabella's heart, but not her resolve.
