They had been walking through the forest for some time, it was a warm and pleasant day with clear skies and the Sun shone brightly through the canopy of the trees, which made them more beautiful. Ryker had been observing the landscape since they left Porlyusica's house, admiring every aspect of that grove. It was like he'd never seen anything like that. The streams they crossed were clean and with clear water and fish. He was really enjoying all this, even if he didn't show it, it gave him a strange sense of peace, which he wasn't used to.

"It won't be long now. A little more and we got to the city of Magnolia," said Makarov, who looked up to face Ryker, but he realized he wasn't paying attention to the conversation. In fact, the trip was pretty quiet. "Admiring the landscape my young man?"

"Ahn...!" reacted Ryker, a little surprised to finally hear Makarov's voice. "What did you say?"

"I noticed that you are looking at the landscape through which we walk. It's like you've never seen a tree," the guild master said.

"Well... not like that."

Makarov stranged the answer, and asked. "What do you mean? You've never seen a forest? "

Ryker looked down towards his momentary traveling companion and shrugged. "There are no more forests like these where I came from. So I've never seen anything like this before. It's really interesting," he said with a slight tone of sadness in his voice. "Let's just keep walking, shall we?"

"What did he go through? I feel like he carries a huge weight on his heart. His look says a lot, but he also says it's not the time to dig deeper. Let's give time to time," Makarov thought, with some regret. "Now it's not long before the city," he said.

They kept walking in silence. They passed through the forest and entered an open field, with green grass and light wind that refreshed as they passed through it. They continued on the road for a while longer, and were coming to a bridge and soon after was the entrance to the city. On it was a large sign that read 'WELCOME TO MAGNOLIA, HOME OF THE LARGEST GUILD OF FIORE'. It intrigued Ryker, but he let it go and preferred to enter the city without asking what that meant. They walked the streets of the city, some people recognized the Master and greeted him warmly and with a big smile on their faces. Which, by the way, gladders the old gentleman.

"This place is really different. This style of construction... old, it seems," Ryker thought. "But something must have happened to here not too long ago, something big. Some buildings are being redone, more than would be normal. Some people have a strange worried look," he observed carefully as they advanced through the city. He didn't miss any details wherever they went, memorizing every aspect and every corner. He knew he could redo this journey if he wanted to. "Despite some sadness I see that most people here are happy. They're always smiling, it's a cozy place, this little town. I wish where I came from there was a place, at least like that," he thought, and with that he let out a tiny, almost imperceptible smile.

They kept walking and turning back and forth, until they reached a large building with a double wooden door. It was clearly one of the largest, if not the largest building in the city. This made Ryker impressed with the building and its quirky style. "Here we are, my son. The largest guild in Fiore," Makarov said with a smile and with pride.

Observing the large plaque that was at the entrance of the guild, Ryker saw the guild's name, which intrigued him. "Fairy Tail!? What a tail has to do with fairies. As far as I know fairies are simply tiny little girls with insect wings on their backs. They don't have tails," he said.

Makarov can't help but laugh at it, despite Ryker's some jumble. "That's the question. This makes the journey an eternal adventure."

"Well, I don't get it, but it doesn't matter now."

"Let's go inside. You must be hungry. After all it's been four days since you were asleep," Makarov said looking at Ryker and smiling.

"Four days! I didn't imagine there were so many," Ryker replied surprisedly.

"Now that's the least of it. So, come on!"?" said the master, his fellow travelers just nodded before they entered through the guild door.

The guild doors were opened, everyone inside her looked in her direction to see who had arrived. When they saw that he was the master, everyone greeted him cheerfully. "Master is back!", "Glad you came back master" They said all, happy that Makarov came back, just as they always did. But they realized there was someone else with him. Behind him came another person, one they didn't know, but they've already been impressed with him.

He was tall, taller than the average wizard, about 1.90m (six feet) tall and clearly strong, with years of training. His broad shoulders and pectoral stoothism didn't lie. He had military-style black hair and brown eyes and he had three small scars on his face. He walked firmly and safely, his posture indicated that he was sure of himself not being shaken by anything. He had a presence and was imposing, he was wearing a tight black t-shirt and pants, too, black, military style, with military boots too. However, what impressed the guild's mages most were the eyes. They were dull, cold eyes, almost as if they were dead. What scared everyone a lot, even though they went through what they went through, they never saw eyes like that. It was scary, but at the same time they conveyed strength, intimidation and respect. Completing, his face was serious and focused.

Upon entering the guild he watched the mages carefully, looked around and out and by possible escape routes and blind spots of the hall and coverage locations. He's analyzed everything. Checked the situation and risks of attack and defense. He thought of countless approaches he could follow if he was attacked and if he needed to flee. He had a whole plan already formulated. But he relaxed, because he didn't feel a threat. However, he was always alert and knew he could leave the city quickly, as he decorated the path.

They arrived at the guild bar and Makarov sat on the counter, facing the guild hall. Ryker sat in one of the chairs in the bar next to the master.

"Master glad you're back," a sweet, angelic voice spoke. It was a beautiful young woman with long white hair and sweet look. She wore a well-behaved lace red dress. He had a nice smile and a loving look.

"Thank you Mira," said the master to her. "This here is Ryker," pointing to the man sitting next to him.

"Hello Ryker, it's a pleasure," she said with a beautiful smile to him, who reciprocated by waving his hand but not saying a word.

"Mira, could you get him something to eat? It's been a while since he've eaten anything," the master asked the young girl.

"It will be a pleasure master, I'll be back," she left smiling and happy.

"So this is your guild? The greatest of Fiore, right?" Ryker said to the master, looking in a corner at him.

"Yes, I'm sorry. We're all friends here, like we're family. Well, I actually see them as my children, and I feel responsible for them."

The master's words caused Ryker to raise his eyebrows. "Family, he said!? Like they're brothers?" he thought.

"There's nothing to worry about here. If you decide to join us, you will have friends forever," Makarov said, and could notice a fondness in his voice. He really loved Fairy Tail and everyone there.

Ryker didn't say anything, just kept looking at the master trying to understand his relationship with everyone there and what it would mean to himself. After a while he gave up understanding, for now, and shrugged.

In the meantime Mira came back with a meal. "Here it is," she said gently putting the meal in front of Ryker. He looked astonily at the meal he received. He stood there for a while admiring that food.

"What's the other thing? Isn't that good? Isn't that to your taste? " Mira asked a little worried, holding his hands in freight to his chest.

"Ahn!? Oh... it's not that," Ryker said, calming the lovely bartender. "It's just that I've never seen such a wide variety of food," he then began to eat and marveled even more at the taste, for it was wonderful, and he had never eaten anything so good. "Oh my...! This is fantastic! I've never had anything like this."

The comment caused Mira to give a broad smile. She and Makarov watched him eat, and he ate like he'd never ate anything in his life before, what made the master and Mira look at him with concern.

"This food was very good, lady. Thank you," he told to Mira.

"It was nothing," she reciprocated with a gentle smile.

"So my young man, I'd like you to join our guild. What do you say to that? " Makarov asked Ryker without blinking and firmly.

"Uhn! From what I can see, this guild is made up of wizards or something. What makes you think I have magical powers or that I qualify for this role?" Ryker replied.

"I felt magical power in you. Apparently it's different from what we used to here, but you said you came a long way, so that could be it. Where you come from, magic must act differently from here. The world is too big and there are many things we don't know yet. Or am I lying?" said the master firmly and firmly.

Ryker looked firmly and seriously at Makarov, staring for some time. "No, you're right. But I don't know if I should or want to join your wizards' club. Give me till tomorrow at noon. Then you will have your answer."

"Agreed, tomorrow at noon. But something tells me the answer will be yes," Makarov said and laughed.

"Tsh! You have a lot of confidence, I wouldn't be so sure," Ryker replied.

"We will see, we shall see...," the master said.

Ryker just looked at the master and then looked away from him. He realized that Mirajane was looking at him. "Yes?", he said, a little rude.

Mira lay his head a little and his eyes closed and with a smile said, "It would be great to have you here."

He looked indifferent to her. "That's what we're going to see," he retorted bluntly.

"Mira? The guild is calm today. What happened?" Makarov asked curiously.

"Oh yes. Erza, Natsu, Gray and the rest went out on a mission yesterday. They should be back tomorrow. Others are also out on missions."

"That explains the lull," Makarov said smiling. He and Mira laughed at the situation, but Ryker didn't understand anything.

"Well, I'll take some air outside, and think about your case, Master," Ryker then got up from the bar bench turned and started heading out of the guild, until, a few steps taken, turned his head over his right shoulder. "And in yours, young lady," said to Mira, looking directly at her, which made her smile and for some reason blush lightly, and continued her way out.

Midway through stopped alongside two people, Macao and Wakaba. He turned to both of them and looked at them with his eyes, which caused the two to tremble. "Do you have one?" said to Wakaba.

"What!?" he answered tremblingly.

"Cigarette. Do you have one? "said Ryker dry.

"Oh, of course. Here, you can stay." Wakaba took one of his pack and delivered it into the hands of Ryker, who caught him already putting it in his mouth.

"Fire?"

"Here," Wakaba pulled a match by lighting it and delivering it to Ryker who lit his cigarette.

"Thank you", Ryker said and left the guild. Outside the building he leaned against the wall and sat on the floor while smoking his cigarette and thinking about what he should do.

At the guild bar Makarov and Mira watched Ryker walk out the guild door.

"Mira, I'm going to my office."

"All right, master, but first tell me please. Who the man is that? "

Makarov looked seriously at the young Mira and sighed. "I want to know, too. But that's all he's going to be able to tell us. I hope in time he can trust us and tell us everything." she said. Then he came down from the bar counter and went up to his office, while Mira stood looking at the guild.

Outside the guild Ryker was smoking his cigarette sitting on the floor, with his left leg stretched and his right leg bent at chest height. Leaning his right arm on his knee with his cigarette between his fingers, he noticed that his hand began to tremble.

"Oh, damn it! Not now," he grumbled, then his heart began to shoot uncontrolled and he began to hyperventilate. His eyes widened and his face turned to a face of fright.

"Control yourself, damn it, control yourself. Take control of your shit!" he said to himself. But, it didn't work, at this instant he heard a strong ringing in his ears that was followed by a severe headache, which caused him to bring the other leg close to his chest and sink his head between the space left by his legs and body, with his hands holding his head in agony. He moaned with pain and anguish. He was trying to control the pain, but it was impossible. His head was about to explode, he was suffering from palpitations and he was hyperventilating. It was like this for about five long minutes. What it all went through, but he didn't move from position, he was exhausted and wanted to recover from the of it all.

When he finally raised his head and opened his eyes, he came face to face with what he imagined to be a child, due to his short stature. She had blue hair at shoulder height. She was thin and was wearing a dress that had fallen orange, her arms were covered by sleeves of the same color as the dress, only leaving her shoulders bare. She was leaning pear him and was looking at him with her big brown eyes. Behind him was a relatively tall, evil man looked at with a serious look. He had long black hair and spiky with pircings by the body and face, had a metallic style. It was Levy and Gajeel, who were returning from a mission. He did not see the black exceed that accompanied them because it had gone further and had already entered the guild.

"Are you all right?" asked a worried Levy.

"Yes, I am." he answered.

"So what are you doing lying like this in front of our guild? And who are you?" Gajeel asked him harshly.

"Gajeel! Don't talk like that," Levy scolded.

"Tsh!" grumbled the iron mage.

Reyker stood up and looked at the couple, resuming the confident posture he had. "I was getting some air and smoking a cigarette, that's all. In there, was a little... muffled."

"In there!?" they both puzzled. "So you were in the guild. That means you must be a wizard. Or maybe some new member." Levy said killing the shawshe.

"I must assume that you two are members of this guild then."

"Yes, I'm Levy and the grumpy one here is Gajeel. It's a pleasure to meet you," she said with a broad smile. "What's your name?"

"Ryker."

"Great, now that we've introduced ourselves, can we get into the damn guild at once?" said Gajeel impatiently.

"Gajeel don't be rude and impatient." Gajeel then snores and turned his face to his girlfriend, feeling upset.

"So Ryker, are you here to join Fairy Tail?", Levy said smiling and cheerful. "You know, it's great when new members join our guild. New stories, new spells, new friends. "

"Huff!"

"Gajeel!" she gave her warning.

"All right, I'll stop." He looked at Levy who had his arms resting on his waist and was looking at him with his serious face and disapproval. "Ahn... and yes... Right... it's great to have new people in the guild. "

Levy smiled with the attitude.

Ryker looked at the two and concluded that she was not a child and that they were both boyfriends, as relatives could not be. They didn't look anything like each other. "I really wanted to know how a guy like that gets with a girl like her. Honestly they're the opposite of each other." he thought. "Well, actually I'm wondering if I'm in or not.

"What!?" Gajeel turned in his direction with a very angry look. He came close to snarling, but Ryker didn't move, as if that threat was nothing. Gajeel was quite surprised, after all he usually terrorizes everyone effortlessly. "Do you happen to know how many wizards would like to be part of this guild? And you disdain..."

"Gajeel calm down!" said Levy holding one of his arms. "He must have his reasons and no one is obliged to enter the Fairy Tail. You were reluctant yourself at first, didn't you? "

He stopped and turned to her calming down. "Yes... but me, it was a different situation and... and..."

"It's all right. Like she said, I have my reasons, but it doesn't matter. "

"Well, I hope you agree to be a member of ours. We will all be friends and even Gajeel here. He's going to want to fight you, since you seem so strong. " Levy says smiling and giving a wink.

"Gihihi," Gajeel laughs. "I can't wait."

"Whether I'm strong or not, I don't know." Ryker says as he holds the cigarette butt between his index finger and thumb, when a small light appears between his fingers which causes the butt to catch fire and disappear into smoke. "But I'm not going to get into a stupid fight over any bullshit."

"I see you're more mature than the others then", she laughs as she pulls Gajeel to the guild in a countered way. "We'll see you later." she nodded as she entered the guild.

"She was... kind. What's wrong with these people. They don't even know me and they're so nice. It bothers me", thought Ryker.

He stayed out of the guild for some time, this time standing, leaning on a wall. He's thought about everything that's happened since he woke up in that weird house. He didn't know the people of this land or their customs well, nor did he has any idea of the geography of the region – which led him to think he should get a detailed map of the entire region – also, he had no money which would complicate survival in the short term. He concluded that there were not many options to be taken. It was getting dark, so he decided to come back the guild.

He didn't want company, and he didn't want anyone to bother him with questions he wasn't in the mood to answer. Also, he didn't want to socialize with people he barely knew. Soon, he chose an empty table in the corner of the guild, a place half away, at the back of it. He sat and watched the movement, people talking, drinking, laughing, some were in front of a picture with hanging papers. He soon realized that this is where the missions stayed and that each wizard was free to choose the one he wanted. This whole freedom seemed a little confusing to him, but the atmosphere was pleasant and friendly, even respectful, since no one went to talk to him in this period. However, he didn't really know if the wizards there realized that he wanted to be alone or were afraid of him, because he knew perfectly well that he could intimidate people with his manner and behavior.

The night progressed, and Ryker remained in the guild, watching and thinking. It was starting to get monotonous and tiring, as the guild gradually emptied and there was not much to look at. He lowers his head leaning on his arms crossed on the table, as if he were asleep. He was starting to get bored.

"Need something?" said a sweet voice. He nodded and saw that Mirajane had sat in front of him and watched him.

"No, I'm fine," he answered.

"You've stayed here alone so far. Did something get you in the way? "she looks at him with a genuinely worried look. Ryker realized her concern, even though he was so dry and frowning, he's not oblivious to other people's feelings, even if he doesn't care much for it.

"No, nothing. I just wanted to be alone and think. I don't like company very much. "

"Oh," Mirajane takes a sad look. "I'd better get out then", she starts to get up when she hears Ryker's voice.

"Wait... You don't have to leave", she looks at him with a happy and excited look and sits back.

Even though he wanted to be alone this was a good opportunity. He didn't know anything about that place and she seemed to be very open and like to talk. He needed information and the more data he had would be better, and Mirajane was a great source. However, there was something, in particular, that had been bothering him since he arrived and was interested.

"Listen girl..."

"Call me Mira." she interrupted him with a smile.

"Sure, Mira. Has anything happened in this town recently? "

"What!?", she looked at him with surprise.

"There were buildings being rebuilt. I noticed it while I was coming here with Makarov. More than would be normal," he said with a serious and penetrating look. "If I were to bet... there was a battle here. Wasn't it? ".

"How do you know that?", Mira was amazed, the city was rebuilt practically entirely, there were only a few buildings still under renovation and there were no signs of war out there. "How did he realize so fast!", she thought.

"Little signs. Some sad looks here and over there. Buildings being rebuilt, practically from scratch. It is possible to notice if you pay attention and... the smell. It's unmistakable", he said with his penetrating gaze.

Mirajane looked at him in amazement. "Well, it's... yes... something happened months ago. A war with Alvarez. An empire overseas. It was commanded by a dark wizard, but now everything has been settled. We're fine," Mira said in a slightly sad but relieved voice.

"You fought it, didn't you?"

Mirajane just nodded in confirmation.

"I'm sorry about that. Wars are kind of shit. "

The demon mage looks at him and notices an empty look, focused on nothingness. "You've also faced great battles, haven't you? Have you also been through a senseless war?"

Ryker looks at her in the meantime and just shrugs.

"Do you want something to drink?" she asks, surprising Ryker. What the hell is there about these people, he thought.

"If it's not bothering you, I'd like a beer", he says, and she gets up and picks up her order.

"Here it is," Mira delivers his order after a little while. Ryker drinks a little, the best beer he's ever had in his life, which surprises him too much. However ,before showing any emotion with it, he looks at the girl in front of him.

"Why are you being so kind?", he asks.

Mirajane strange that question, but continues with his unwavering way of being. "Being kind is good. Kindness breeds kindness. And why wouldn't I be?"

"You don't even know me, there's no reason to do so," he retorts.

"Whether you know it or not, doesn't matter. It's our duty to be kind to people, even if we don't know them," Mira replied.

That, in a way, warmed his heart a little bit, even a being like him was worthy of a little kindness. Is that what that girl was saying?

"That's a little confusing," he retorted.

Mira looked at him and smiled. "Do you have somewhere to stay?"

"Not really", he answered.

"Well, in this case you can stay in my house until you get a place of your own." Mira blushed a little while offering a place for him to stay.

"I must imagine, that's what fairy tail wizards do. They help people, right? ", Mira just looks at him in trouble. Not understanding the placement. "I heard that out there today. You're very kind to people you don't know, I don't understand much and I don't know if that's very wise, but... "

"We are like that, we help people." Mira said with a broad smile.

After a while he decided to accept the offer. The other options would be to stay in the guild, on one of the benches or sleep in the open, probably he would go out of town camping under a tree or something, but sleeping in one house was better options. And why not?

He waited for Mirajane to finish her guild work. She closed the gate and they both headed to her house. It was a short ride, just a few minutes, but you don't hear conversation in this period. They arrived in a house, it was large and it was a townhouse, there was a small garden in front, surrounded by metal railings and a four-step staircase. Mirajane opened the door and entered first turning on the lights. He noticed, upon entering, that it was a spacious and well-organized house. It seemed like a real home.

He never saw anything like this, and he was amazed. There were more furniture and paraphernalia than he imagined there could be, not knowing what most of them were for. They were probably superfluous things that no one would really need. I was used to little. He noted, however, that there were more furniture than necessary for only one person to live.

"Do you live alone here?" he asked.

"No, my little brother and sister live here too. Elfman and Lisanna. But they're away on a mission"

"Well that explains all this furniture and stuff. You have a tidy house"

Mira can only laugh at the situation. "Thank you. I like to leave everything organized and clean", getting a head swing in response.

Ryker looked at her for a while in an intrigued manner. "You work in the guild, right?", he asked, which was confirmed by the mage. "And you still get this big house!"

"Yes, well... ", Mira began to speak, but was interrupted by the other.

"You are very dedicated and hardworking. It's a wonder," he said, pulling off a silly blush of the mage, who smiled awkwardly and shyly. She always struggled, but it was hard for anyone to recognize and praise her about it.

"And where will I stay?"

"It's... In the guest room, upstairs," she said a little shy and didn't even know why.

They went up the stairs, there were three other bedrooms and a hallway. She went to the last door and opened it. It was a modest but comfortable room, with a window overlooking the street and had a view of the city, nothing too spectacular. The bed was single and there were yellow curtains on the window, plus a good-sized closet.

"You're going to stay here. Now wait for me to get a blanket, pillowcases and sheet so I can get more comfortable", she came out of the room smiling. In a few moments she came back with everything.

Mirajane put everything on the bed and began to fix it, but Ryker's hand landed on hers. "You can let me deal with that, Mira. Thank you".

"But you're a visitor, it's my duty to arrange for you."

"You don't have to, I do it my way. You've done a lot. "

"Are you sure?"

"Of course, besides you must be tired"

"Well, then... Good night, Ryker. See you tomorrow. "

Mira was already leaving the room when she overheard Ryker asking something. "Hey Mira? When do you usually arrive at the guild? "

"At 6 p.m. Any special reason? "

"No, none. I'll accompany you there at this time. "

She looked at him, who looked pretty serious, well he was always serious, and waved. "I'll be waiting", she spoke and left the room, stamping a smile on her face, and closed the door, leaving him alone.

Ryker made the bed and looked at it and sighed, turned to the window and walked over to it. He sat across from her, looked out over the landscape, and stayed there until morning. When Mira woke up at 4:30, she made the coffee as best she could, Mirajane style. Brewed coffee, crackers, cheese, bread and butter. There was milk and pieces of cake. It was practically a meal and as could not be missing a good variety of fruits. She was setting the table and thought about letting her guest sleep a little longer.

"It's a beautiful table," Ryker said leaning on the kitchen door stop scaring Mira, who put his hands in his mouth due to the fright. "Did I scare you?", he asked.

"No, it's all right", Mira replied with a smile.

"Are you awake yet? It's still early. "

"It's an old habit."

"If you're awake, why don't you sit down and eat something," she said with her usual smile.

"Don't worry. I don't want to get in the way, I'm already giving you a lot of work being here," he said, turning his eyes to the other side.

"It's no problem at all. I do it willingly," she smiled.

"All right", he said sitting down. He took coffee, a bun, some milk and a piece of cake. He was quite bothered by the situation, not accustomed to it, to all this kindness and abundance. All this bothered him for a reason, and Mira's presence didn't help at all. His cheerful, friendly and kind way made him uncomfortable, but, after all, he enjoyed the food more than anything.

"Can I ask you a question, Ryker?" said Mira curiously.

"And what would it be?", he answered looking at her, who was sitting in front of her.

"Where are you from?"

He looked into Mirajane's blue eyes for a while, staring at her. This situation made her a little uncomfortable, but nothing the devil couldn't handle. She did not fade and returned her gaze with an intensity that rivaled his. Both stared at each other until he gave in, but not by defeat, but by recognizing strength and determination in her.

"I'm from far away. And I don't know exactly how I ended up here. I just know I can't go back, or rather, I have no idea how to get back," he explain.

"I'm sorry. You must miss home, don't you?" said Mira with a melancholy tone in his voice.

"Not exactly. There is not the best place to be, if you ask me."

"But it's your home. As bad as it is..."

"People move out from the bad houses all the time," he interrupted. "They always look for a better place to live if they can. And here ... Well, it seems like a better place. Maybe I'll stay, for a while, at least. Let's see how things are going to be."

Mira was surprised, but she can't help but express happiness. "Does that mean you're going to stay in the guild?"

"In the noon. In the noon you'll have the answer. Until then I'll be thinking, and besides I can get a job anywhere, not just in the guild. The possibilities are great."

"Oh yes," Mira said with a tone of disappointment.

They finished the meal in silence and both headed for a shower before leaving the house. Ryker remained a little uncomfortable, it was not common for him to live with people he just met and he didn't like it. He always felt more comfortable with people he lived with longer and had more intimacy. But it was a case apart and he had nothing to do but adapt to the situation, and that he did well.

After washing and changing clothes, which was worth more to Mira than Ryker who only had one outfit, they left the Strauss house and headed for the guild. This route that was done in total silence. Upon arriving there Mira opened the guild door and both entered, Mira went straight to her to do. She started cleaning the bar counter. Ryker wondered if she did it herself every day. He shrugged and...

"Let me help you", he asked.

"What!", she said as a surprise. "This is my duty, you do not..."

"This is nothing new to me," he interrupted her. "I've done this before and it won't be a bother. And in two this boring task will end faster." Mirajane can't help but blush, no one ever offered her help, on the contrary, usually they messed things up. She gave him a rag and he helped clean up the guild before the other wizards arrived.

"That was a great help, thank you", she thanked him for his kindness.

"I think I'm picking up your bad habit and being kind to someone, I don't know," he said looking at her, but he wasn't looking at a face, but he had a slight singing smile, and a calmer look. Which made Mira blush, she turned her face shyly, and she turned and went to the bench where she sat before.

As the day went by the guild was filling up more and more, there were more wizards than the day before. Ryker realized this and related to the fact that some must have returned from their respective missions. He was bored, did nothing all day, just sat watching the wizards and seeing that some were looking at him, but soon turned their gaze to another corner when they realized that he noticed his eyes on him. He had fun with it, but the day went by fast and it was already noon and he can see the guild master addressing him to receive his answer. He was punctual.

"All right, son, it's noon. And as you said, what's your answer?" asked Makarov stood by the table where Ryker was sitting. Many wizards were looking at the situation with curiosity. They wondered what was going on, and who was the one the master was talking to, and who had been standing there for the always time that day.

Ryker turned his eyes to the master staring at him. "What other choice I have" he thought. "I can work in some store and have a quiet life. Then maybe I'll have my own business, a quiet life. It was tempting. But I've tried this before and it didn't work. I was made for war, forged in fire and pain. I'm a soldier! And soldiers only feel comfortable in war. I've felt it before, and I know I'm going to feel it again. I hate it, but it's the truth," he said to himself in his mind.

He closed his eyes and let out a big sigh. Looking back at the master uttered his decision with conviction. "I'll be one of you."

Makarov smiled cheerfully. "Come with me."

They headed to the guild bar counter. "Mira, bring the guild stamp. We have a new member", she smiled and went to get it, bringing it running and cheerful to know that Ryker would join the guild.

"To make official, you must have the guild mark. So just choose the place where you're going to want it and that's it. You will officially be a Fairy Tail," Makarov explained. Ryker looked scared and took a step back. He was really scared and his eyes showed it, what made Mira and the master realize there was something wrong.

"Don't worry. It doesn't hurt at all, it's just going to feel a light heat and ready," Mira said calmly and smiling, Ryker looked at her and calmed down.

"All right," he said.

"In what color and where?" asked Makarov.

"Here in black," he said pointing to the underside of his left forearm.

Mira then placed the marker in place, she noticed that Ryker closed his eyes and turned his head to the other side not looking at the location of the marking. Mira held his hand while applying the mark, he realized that it just warmed up a little and didn't last the sensation at all.

"Ready," Mira said cutely.

"What! That's it, then?".

"We didn't say it wouldn't hurt at all," Mira said smiling at him. He looked at the mark at the indicated spot and nodded. He looked at Mira and threw her a corner smile.

"Let's party!" Makarov shouted from above the counter to the guild. "We have a new member. May he be well received!"

"What the hell is going on?" said Ryker perplexed.

"We always celebrate when we have a new member. It's like increasing the family", Mira replied in his way of always being. And every guild began to party and drink happily.

He looked at all the cramming of the guild now sitting from the bar, he thoughts it was very curious. "Fairy Tail, heim!"
