A.N. — On the day in canon where the Golden Trio spy on Malfoy in this man's shop, it's time to highlight the other half of the business's namesakes. Fitting, since he seems to be the one doing all the actual running it.
215. Mr. Borgin
Borgin wasn't in the habit of rejecting potential sales. After all, his premises were down in Knockturn Alley; clientele were sparse. But when a mudblood had the temerity to stroll into his shop and the gall to ask him questions, Borgin was only too pleased to toss her out onto the cobblestones. That said mudblood was Harry Potter's best friend was a fortuitous bonus.
Borgin would always safeguard those who did frequent his shop, knowing they'd return the favor by spending more gold. It was a vicous cycle to outsiders; to Borgin, it was business as usual and worth perpetuating.
