A.N. — Harry Potter, in canon, is exploring Diagon Alley around this time in 1993. He gawks at the brooms at Quality Quidditch Supplies, so it's time for another character who plays the sport to feature. Another Irish national team member, as the Bulgarians get the short shrift on the site's character list.

220. Connolly

Combining a Beater with a Firebolt was not, perhaps, the brightest idea.

Connolly was zipping around the pitch like his bristles were on fire, almost acting as a third Bludger rather than his supposed job of merely redirecting the two actual enchanted iron balls. It was proving to be effective, though, if the increasing Irish lead was any indication. He'd rather have had a more stable midair platform to aim from, but Connolly was making the best of it.

Once the match was over, it was Connolly and his wobbly legs supporting his concussed Seeker when they received the Cup.
