A.N. — For the final of four straight Ministry employees, it's Arthur's lone subordinate in the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts office. A minor detail in this drabble ties into the next major plot point I'll be fixating on soon.
227. Perkins
Perkins enjoyed working under Arthur Weasley. Their office was under-manned and overworked, but it lacked the infighting and underhanded dealings rife in the rest of the Ministry. Arthur did right by him and Perkins reciprocated, like giving Arthur his old tent for the World Cup.
Which was why Perkins found it so appalling when he heard about the change of time and venue for Harry Potter's hearing. He owed it to his boss, professionally and personally, to let him know urgently. But Arthur and Harry arrived unawares, and Perkins had to wheeze out the relevant details to spur them along.
A.N. 2 — As an aside to yesterday's author's note, the new character tags for Harry Potter seem to be mostly from either The Cursed Child or Hogwarts Mystery... neither of which I will deal with much at all. Frustrating, especially as that absentee list in chapter 1 keeps growing.
