233. Hermes
Pigwidgeon was overeager and under-educated. Errol had lost all enthusiasm and ability with age. So it fell to Hermes to salvage the reputation of the Weasley family owls.
His human had the right idea. Percy was all about rules and decorum, maintaining the classic British stiff upper lip. Well, Herems lacked lips, but he could emulate the attitude and actions.
Percy viewed every task he was set with as having the utmost importance. Hermes saw every letter entrusted to his claws, whether it was a sappy love letter or Ministry documentation, the same way. No less was expected or accepted.
