Alana kept Will updated with Hannibal's progress, as he could not come as regularly as he would wish. With him being out of retirement, Jack was running him ragged with the amount of cases they were investigating. This made it hard to go and see Hannibal, but Alana kept him updated. When Will heard about Hannibal's sudden quiet demeanor and him constantly being with Batai, he knew he had to do something. Will was sitting on a chair, one where he could see the drawing Hannibal had gifted him laying on a table. He thought back to his thoughts the last time Will had seen Hannibal. He pondered the answer to this complicated riddle, but only one answer came to him. He didn't want to consider it, even recognize it as an option. He knew he had to get Hannibal out of there somehow, and this was the only viable option in his eyes.
