The morning sun breaks through Kagome's bedroom window as her alarm blares loudly that it is time to awaken. With only an hour of sleep, Kagome forces herself up and out of bed as she changes into her uniform. The first semester was finally coming to an end and then it would be the training camp, meaning no escape from her classmates. As much as she loves them, their antics could get overwhelming from time to time. Like the boy drama. Shaking her head, Kagome turns her attention to the pain in the center of her chest. It was throbbing more than usual but nothing she couldn't handle.

Her morning routine done, Kagome heads off to school with the company of her unknown stalker. Kagome focuses on their familiar aura, letting it calm her nerves as she heads down the road. "Reckless should be my middle name at this point," she laughs to herself, upset she was still finding comfort in an unknown villain's presence. Letting herself get distracted by it, she fails to see the person walking in front of her as she bumps into their back. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going!" she says quickly before looking at the person. Her senses coming back to her like a slap to the face.

"Yeah, well pay more fucking attention next time," a male voice rings out, making her heart race. Katsuki turns around as the deep frown on his face turns to shock for a moment before morphing back to the frown. Kagome says nothing else and continues on her way, passing him without another glance. "You're still playing at this silence game?!" he yells after her but doesn't bother to catch up. "Dammit."

Kagome runs, the pain settling in her chest worse than before. She wants to cry, to scream, anything that would take the pain off of her chest. It was almost hard to breathe. Almost.

Rushing into class, Kagome takes her seat and puts her head down without a word to her peers. While they worry, they think nothing of her actions, seeing as yesterday was a traumatic experience for both herself and Izuku. Aizawa starts class soon after everyone gets there.

"Given what happened, we're on the lookout for these villains," the Pro starts off. "We've had to change our usual accommodations at the last minute meaning we won't reveal our destination until we are departing." Shocked looks washed over the students, yet they understood the reasoning.

"But I've already told my parents," Sero whines slightly.

"That's precisely the point," Momo chimes in. "The school can't control who learns what or how." At this point, Kagome had shifted to where her head was resting against her hand. She was too tired to really care what was happening until Katsuki's voice cut through the others in the room as he spoke to Izuku.

"Broken bones or not, you should've killed him." Kagome stares at the male in complete shock. Hagakure says something back but Kagome couldn't process what it was. "Do I care?" Wait what? "Just break those fucking bones."

"So you're saying you don't care?" Attention was turned to Kagome, her voice threateningly calm. "We could have died and you don't care?" Her heart clenches, making the pain nearly unbearable as she balls her hands into fists and stands from her seat. "One wrong move and we would've been dust. Izuku and I could have died, Katsuki!" Kagome can't hide the hurt in her voice nor stop the tears from forming in her eyes. She could feel her heart breaking. "But you don't care?!" The room is silent, taking in what their classmate had said. She was completely right, unfortunately. They could have actually died. "Oh wait. I forgot you only care about being Number One and anyone in your path is a threat." Forget having a crush, her heart was being crushed by every action Katsuki made. Kagome let's the tears fall, not able to look at the explosive male.

Todoroki was the only one to respond to her, placing a hand on her shoulder once he was standing. With how much she had told him that his eyes were too beautiful for sadness, he wonders if she had looked in the mirror when she cries. He glances at Aizawa for a moment, getting a nod from the teacher before leading Kagome out of the room. As awkward of a person he is, Todoroki could understand the pain Kagome was going through and he didn't like how it was playing out in front of him day after day. As Todoroki closes the door behind him, he shoots a glare back at Katsuki. Once fully closed, Kagome covers her face with her hands as she tries to calm her tears. Todoroki gently puts his hand on top of her head, softly pulling her into his chest as he slowly wraps his arms around her for a hug. "You don't have to do this, Todo-"

"Just call me Shoto," he says softly. "And I know I don't."

"Then why-"

"Because you're my friend, Kagome." She pulls away from him slightly, wiping the tears from her eyes as she looks up at her classmate, a shocked expression covering her features. "You wanted a demonstration of my fire, right?" he asks timidly, not sure of how to deal with the situation he put himself into. Yet the way her eyes shine at his words gave him more confidence and a slight skip to his heart beat. "Why don't we plan to meet up then? And in exchange you can show me more about yours."

"A-are you sure?" she questions meekly, her tears now stopping much to his delight. "Todo-"

"Shoto," he corrects her as she blushes brightly. If anyone was allowed to call him his first name, it would be her. Kagome hadn't pressed about his life, just wanted him to know that he wasn't alone. Strong willed, powerful, trustworthy, and even a bit mysterious. Yet he didn't pry about her life either, not having questioned her about how she knew Pro Heroes so intimately, nor had he pushed her away for not telling him in the first place.

"Ok, Shoto," she smiles brightly at him. "You really don't have to do all of this."

"Well I want to." This time her heart skips. He had made it clear to everyone else in class that he didn't want friends and he wouldn't use his fire part, yet here he was. Standing here holding Kagome in a makeshift hug to calm her down because that's what friends do.

Inside the classroom was still deathly silent, each student trying to hear what was being said outside with a few next to the door to listen in. Aizawa pulls out his yellow sleeping bag and slips it on knowing this was going to be a long moment, thankfully long enough for a nap. Katsuki kept his expression calm and seemingly bored while inside he was hating himself. For once could he just watch what he said? To think of others over himself? He clenches his fist in anger, the only indication of his actual emotional state, listening to what his classmates were softly whispering about. Yet they could see their silhouettes in the windows to the hallway, showing part of the action to the class. From Kagome holding her face to Todoroki pulling her into a hug. It pissed Katsuki off to no end, hating how close his rival was to his best friend. With Izuku, he could handle it to a degree, but seeing how close Todoroki was to Kagome had him openly seething in his seat.

Katsuki stands from his seat without a word, his hands in tight fists as he goes to leave the classroom while his peers call for him to stop.

"Leave her alone!" Ochaco snaps as she blocks the door. "Haven't you done enough damage for the day?!" The brunette hated seeing her friend so hurt and troubled, yet she knew it was because of the explosive blond in front of her.

"Get the hell outta my way, cheeks," he responds a bit too calmly for everyone's tastes. "This has nothing to do with you."

"She's my best friend! Of course it does!" She wasn't afraid of him, not his intimidation tactics, not his deeping scowl, not his calm anger. No, she was sticking up for her closest friend and she would fight tooth and nail to protect her heart. "You should be grateful!" Ochaco is furious, her own fire starting in her eyes as she remembers how Kagome reacted to seeing Katsuki laying on the bed unconscious. How worried she looked about his condition even when not talking to him. "Yet you continue to treat her like she's nothing to you!" Ochaco's eyes sting with tears, knowing she couldn't possibly imagine how much pain Kagome was going through.

"I said get the hell outta my way," Katsuki raises his voice slightly. "I need to talk to her."

"I thought it was pretty obvious she doesn't want to talk, Kacchan," Izuku chimes in as he stands from his seat and stops behind Katsuki, putting his hand on his shoulder. "You should know better than anyone that she would need time to heal."

"I'm done trying to be patient," Katsuki answers back as he roughly shrugs off the hand, not looking at the green-haired male behind him as he pushes passed Ochaco.

"Kacchan-"

"Didn't you hear me?"

Back outside the room, Kagome catches her breath and calms her tears as she rests her head on Todoroki's chest. "Thank you, Shoto," she says softly, not daring to look up at him due to embarrassment. The peace is interrupted by the classroom door snapping open and letting Katsuki out into the hall with them. Kagome could feel the anger emitting from Katsuki, sure that his signature glare was as sharp as ever on them. WIthout a word, Katsuki grabs her upper arm and rips her away from Todoroki's hold. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Kagome yells.

"So you can become all buddy-buddy with Icyhot but continue to give me the fucking silent treatment?" Katsuki nearly growls out, clearly upset with their growing bond. "How long are you going to play at this damn game, Kagome?"

"Stop talking to her like that, Bakugo," Todoroki snaps as Kagome pulls herself away from Katsuki's grip and smacks his left cheek harshly, making his head turn violently to the side.

"Kagome?" Todoroki calls out softly after a moment of tense silence, yet it seemed as though she couldn't hear him as she kept her glare on Katsuki.

"Why can't you just leave me alone?!" Kagome screams at him as tears blur her vision. Her head was swimming with the day of their accident, Ochaco's words, the broken promises, everything that has really happened between them so far. The ever growing pain in her chest makes the tears begin to fall. Katsuki doesn't turn his head back to face her, his eyes wide and staring at the floor beneath him with shock. His mind blank with only the echo of the slap playing. Kagome was yelling, she was hurt, she was crying, and all because of him. Katsuki couldn't say he didn't deserve being smacked in the face. The burn he gave her was enough evidence against his guilt and she had every right not to speak to him, but he couldn't stand it. As much as he didn't want to admit to it he misses her sporadic hugs, her sass, her terrible jokes, and her smile. Katsuki fucking Bakugo was upset that she wasn't talking to him. If it was anyone else he wouldn't have care, not like this. Yet this was Kagome. The one person that knew him better than Izuku. Katsuki hates not being in her life and the only person to blame for it is himself. He was planning on waiting for her after school was over to try to talk to her in private, yet he couldn't control his tongue and said something he didn't mean, hurting her more than he already has. He just wanted her to smile when she saw him again. "Dammit Bakugo," her heartbroken voice pulls him back to reality. "I hate you." Time seems to stop as Katsuki's heart begins to shatter, the words repeating in his ears. Kagome runs towards the stairs, not caring to stay longer as she feels herself slipping into despair.

Todoroki is quick to follow after her, shooting a glare at Katsuki as he passes him. One would think enough would be enough at some point, but apparently Katsuki is not one of those people.

The rest of the day continues without much excitement, much to Kagome's liking. She was able to calm down again once Todoroki had caught up to her and went back to class. No one brought up what happened but it was the topic on everyone's mind as the day progressed.

They had a few more days before camp, letting the students rest with their families before having to be away for an extended period of time. This morning, Kagome takes her time waking up before getting ready for the day. Her phone dings with a new message. Grabbing it, Kagome smiles seeing Todoroki's icon before opening it.

Shoto: Good morning.

Good morning, yourself, Shoto. Kagome chuckles as she sends it.

Shoto: Are you busy today?

Excitement filles Kagome at the thought of seeing his fire, sending a near instant reply.

Nope.Why, whats up?

Shoto: I remember promising you another demonstration of my quirk.Yes I remember that as well. Kagome shakes her head with a smile as she copies his mannerisms, finding them incredibly adorable.

Shoto: Perhaps we could meet up today.Shoto: Only if you're wanting to.

The second text was sent instantly after the other, making her smile wider as she heads down stairs for breakfast. "Kagome? Who are you talking to?" Mama Higurashi asks upon seeing her daughter beaming at her phone when she comes into the dining room.

Of course! My house is pretty safe if you would like to come here.

Kagome turns her attention to her mom, her smile never leaving as she speaks. "My friend Shoto from class. He's the one that got second in the Sports Festival."

"Oooo, Kagome's got a boyfriend!" Sota calls from the stairs.

"I do not! He's just a friend!" Kagome shouts defensively as a blush creeps onto her face.

"A boyfriend?" her mom joins into the teasing. "It's the boy with the red and white hair right? When were you going to tell me about him?" Kagome groans loudly and hides her face in her hands.

"He's not my boyfriend… And yes I have!" she defends. "He's the one that I ran into when i went to the store the day before school started…"

"So that's Todoroki," Mama Higurashi says in understanding. "I must say his quirk is powerful." Sota nods excitedly, agreeing with their mother.

"It's so cool!" the boy cheers. "But did you guys see how amazing Izu-nii was?" Sota gains stars in his eyes, remembers how the fights had gone. "Is he gonna come back over soon? It feels like forever since he's been here!" Kagome peeks up at her brother, thinking back on the last time he had been over. It had been right after what happened with the sludge villain and Katsuki.

The sudden banging from the front door made Kagome jump, yet she was quick to get up and answer whoever was there. "Izuku? What's going on?""D-didn't you see the news? I'm s-sure they've boardcased it already," he nearly quivers as he steps into the house. Grandpa Higurashi could be heard watching said channel when the announcement of the attack against All Might pops on."You mean that one?" Kagome gestures over to her living room. The pair head over to watch what had transpired. A sludge villain had someone hostage and it looked to be Katsuki. Gasping, Kagome reaches for her phone to message him. Stopping when she saw Izuku flash on the screen to try to save him. "Izu- What?" she mutters, looking at her friend with wide eyes. "Are you alright? Did he hurt you at all?" Kagome pulls him into the hall as she checks his person over. "What about Kacchan? Is he ok?""I-I'm perfectly fine, 'Gome," he almost squeaks out. "I'm actually more worried about him, but he won't talk to me." Thumping echoes from upstairs as Sota rushes down."Izu-nii! You're here!" the younger boy shouts excitedly as he hugs Izuku."Sota!" Izuku smiles brightly, hugging him back. While the two were distracted with each other, Kagome pulls out her phone and calls Katsuki. It rings a few times before going to his voicemail as Kagome frowns, hanging up and calling again. A few more rings and he decides to answer."What? I take it you saw the news?""Of course I did! Why didn't you call me?""Because it had nothing to do with you.""Katsuki," Kagome sighs softly. "I know you can handle yourself but you still worry me…""Yeah whatever," Katsuki grunts back after a moment. "Are we done here?""Far from it," she nearly snaps. "I swear if you don't drop that tone I'm going straight to your house." He sounded defeated and that wasn't the Katsuki she knew."Like I'd want to spend time with a loser like you," he scoffs, but Kagome could tell that he didn't mean it in the slightest."I'll be over soon then." Her tone leaves no room for him to argue with her."Fine." The line goes dead after a moment. Kagome turns her screen off and puts it away as she looks over to Izuku. Sota was rambling about an upcoming Hero and wanted to know Izuku's opinion on them, needless to say he had his hands full for a while."Make sure Kacchan is ok," he says briefly before following the younger boy upstairs to continue the near one sided conversation."Grandpa, I'll be home in a little bit!" she shouts as she throws on her shoes and rushes out the door before he could answer her. Racing to Katsuki's house, she stops to catch her breath once at the front door. Knocking loudly, Kagome waits with bated breath for someone to answer. The door opens after a few moments to reveal an upset Katsuki. She couldn't see his eyes, assuming he had been crying and didn't want to show her. "Katsuki…" she whispers as she steps into his house. Once the door closes, she wraps her arms around his neck to pull him into a tight hug. Katsuki hugs her back, burying his face in her shoulder so she couldn't see his face. "Your room," she says calmly as she pulls away to follow him. Katsuki pulls her along, almost as if he was afraid of letting her go in that moment. He wanted to break. Kagome closes his door when they were both inside and pulls him back into that same tight hug. She runs her fingers through his hair to sooth his shaking form, her own heart shattering at how vulnerable her usually strong friend was. Yet it was racing from holding him so close to her. Kagome knew that words weren't going to help him, just being held was enough to let him calm himself and she would gladly do it anytime he needed her to.

Kagome shakes her head, her heart aching for Katsuki again. "Kagome?" Sota calls out, pulling her from her thoughts as she looks at him.

"You're thinking about a boy aren't you?" he teases. "Your blush proves it!" He points at her triumphantly as Kagome throws a pillow at him once she sits at their table. He laughs childishly as he ducks, the pillow soaring over his head.

"Shut up!" she whines. "You know, Shoto could be coming over today and I don't want you to embarrass me!"

"We'd never," her mom pouts before laughing alongside Sota. Kagome rests her head on the table, groaning from the teasing. The chime of her phone makes her jump, have her rushing to answer.

Shoto: Sure, I'll be over soon.Do you know where the Sunset Shrine is?Shoto: The shrine that's on the top of that hill, right? That's the one!

"Well?" Mama Higurashi asks with a knowing smile.

"He's coming over…" Kagome mutters as Sota gasps in excitement. She couldn't focus, however. Her mind on how long it had been since she had spoken to Katsuki, her heart feeling like it was completely missing something without seeing him everyday. God how she hated boy drama.

Getting up once finished with her breakfast, Kagome waits outside at the top of the steps for Todoroki to arrive. But that meant leaving her to her thoughts again and they were always on Katsuki. Her older memories were there but as of recently her years in this reality were the center of her mind. This is her life and she was planning on being a great hero with all of her friends. It was always in her blood it seemed. From her past life to this one, she was a born hero.

A head of white and red hair catches her eye from down the street as a soft smile adores her lips. This was a person that had her captivated. A near death experience and two breakdowns later, Kagome was allowed to call him by his first name but still had no idea what his story was despite his offer. Perhaps she would ask him today. Offering him a wave with a wide smile as she catches his eye.

Todoroki, however, could feel his heart skip a beat at how bright she seemed to shine. That spark of life in her eyes always made his head spin for hours, making him question the emotions that surfaced when she was around him. Kagome was destined to be a hero more than anyone he had met. Caring, understanding, protective, noble… Todoroki felt like he could list off things he adored about the female for hours without stopping. But he couldn't understand it and that scared him despite the fact that he could almost feel excitement swell inside at the sight of her. Ascending the steps to Kagome home, Todoroki found his heart to speed at an alarming rate, her smile almost being too much for him to handle.

"Shoto, I'm glad you could make it!" A lump appears in his throat, making him unable to respond to her as he merely nods with a small smile. "How are you?"

"I'm fine," he says softly despite him trying to be louder. "How are you feeling?" Referring to the other day when she had smacked Katsuki and ran off. Kagome's features soften slightly.

"I'm doing alright." Had he mentioned how wonderful her voice sounds to him? It was soft and a high pitch but it was alluring in its own way. Her existence was like a never ending warmth and Todoroki wanted to surround his world with that comfort. He wanted things that confused him to no end but he wouldn't dare say anything. Training to be a hero was his main priority and he couldn't let someone fog his mind like this. "How long do you have?" Right, he mentally sighs. He hasn't told her anything about himself but she could read him like an open book. Yet he knew he didn't have much time before his father would be suspicious of his absence.

"Not long…" His voice was low, upset about being reminded about his home life. With Kagome, he seemed to forget about his pain and it gave him a spark of hope for the world.

"Let's make the most of it then," she laughs softly, trying to calm that slight scowl on his face. His aura was nearing the end of its war, much to her delight. That soft blue resting peacefully while the strawberry red was breaking through proudly as the middle dances at a lavender line. Kagome gently grabs his hand and pulls him to the back area of her property, putting up a barrier to protect their surroundings.

Todoroki could feel the corners of his lips tug upwards, finding her excited attitude adorable. "Take a step back, I don't want to end up hurting you by accident," he orders slightly. Kagome shakes her head with a confident smile.

"I trust you," she brings up the hand she was still holding onto. "I know you won't hurt me." The way she was looking at him causes the lump to appear in his throat again as he turns his head away to try and clear it with a cough while Kagome lets go of his hand. He wanted to pout and pull her hand back into his for some reason, missing the warmth of her hand against his. Raising his left hand, he ignites flames at the tips of his fingers, letting them dance with the soft breeze that was passing through. Kagome's attention is completely focused on the fire, a dreamy expression adoring her features as her eyes seem to gain stars. The red colored flames grow to cover his hand as he clenches his fist, each peak licking through the air. "It's beautiful, Shoto." He could barely hear her speak, concentrating on the size of his fire. The beat of his heart is loud in his ears, the shine of his flames dancing in her sapphire eyes. "You're amazing!" Todoroki's cheeks start to burn from the praises she was giving him, the left side of his face catching on fire and making her gasp. "That's so cute!" The fire gets bigger at her compliment, the words repeating in his ears. "So cute!" "Cute!" Why was she making his emotions do backflips and not explain a single thing? "You know next time we should spar! So I can see your quirk in action!" Her statement catches him off guard, his flames dimensioning in an instant.

"A-are you sure? I could really hurt you," he frowns as his eyes widen a small fraction.

"Positive!" she beams. "It can be a training exercise." Her confidence amazes him to no end, not able to find the power to say no to her.

"I suppose we could," he agrees with a slight nod as Kagome squeals with excitement and hugs him tightly."

"You really are the best, Shoto!" she proclaims loudly against his chest. Todoroki could only hope she couldn't hear his heart hammering, carefully returning the hug.

While she never got to asks about his past before he left, Kagome felt like she would be given a chance next visit they had.

Summer training camp was here and Kagome was excited. While Hitoshi wasn't going to be there, she was sure she would still enjoy the training. Not letting recent events affect her positive attitude, Kagome heads to school to meet up with both her class and class 1-B as well as their teachers. This morning however, her usual stalker was absent, making her slightly worried about what was to come but thankful that they wouldn't end up finding out where the training camp was going to be.

Upon arriving, Kagome hears Monoma's voice getting increasingly louder as she finds her class's bus. Iida calls for their class to line up in order while Mineta drools over the number of female bodies present. The noise is loud on the bus as the large number of voices try to speak over each other, yet it didn't bother Kagome as she found peace in the normality it brought.

About an hour into the drive, the bus pulls to a stop for a makeshift rest stop. Kagome smiles at the scenery, remember this view from her adventures back then. She takes a deep breath, walking to the railing to fully take in the view. The slight breeze dancing with her hair to a forgotten song, her eyes closing to feel everything around her.

Katsuki watches her from the corner of his eye, his heart hammering at how peaceful she looks. Remembering her words again, he forces himself to rip his attention away and focus on what their teacher is saying. Aizawa was explaining why they had stopped here as auras she hadn't noticed come forward. The Wild, Wild Pussy-Cats introduce themselves, leaving Izuku to go into his usual muttering as Kagome giggles at how adorable he is.

"This entire area is our territory," they explain. "Your lodging is at the foot of the mountain over there." Kagome had a bad feeling, seeing as they were to expect the unexpected. The moment they stepped off that bus, they started their training. "It's about 9:30 a.m.. I'm sure you'll make it by noon. At the earliest." Kagome watches as her classmates rush back to the bus, shaking her head and pulling herself over the railing. "Kitties who don't make it there by 12:30 wont get any lunch." The bus drives away before anyone is able to get back on as one of the Pussy-Cats slams her paws into the ground. Kagome leaps from the railing as the earth comes up and pushes everyone off the ledge, the dirt tailing behind her. This was her game to win, even with the threat of beasts. Kagome's taken out demons more fearsome than what anyone could throw at her.

Running into the first beast, Kagome is quick to purify it to ash. Stopping after it was calm, Kagome looks at her hands, confused as to why her energy was stronger when her chest throbs harshly. Gasping loudly as she falls to her knees, Kagome holds a fist to her chest to add pressure to her. "Midoriko, please tell me what's going on!" she yells out as another throb erupts from her chest. "Stop ignoring me, dammit!" Tears burn her eyes as they stream down her face, a scream ripping itself out of her throat. It was going to attract more of those beasts and she knew it but she couldn't help it. The pain being too much for her to handle at this point. She could barely make out someone standing in front of her through her tears, panting and she clings her hands to her chest.

"Kagome you need to relax and stop fighting it," Midoriko's familiar voice finally rings out.

"Where the hell have you been?!" Kagome sneers, manners going out the window due to her current agony.

"I was going to wait until you had your problem figured out with your friend but the Jewel waits for no one. Not even you, Kagome." Said girl rolls her eyes as another wave of throbbing torture washes over her. "The Shikon no Tama is merging with your soul as we speak. Your quirk is going to be amplified as an effect of the bond."

"You've got to be joking," Kagome laughs bitterly. "Of course this is happening. This is my punishment, isn't it? Since I wasn't able to protect it properly last time, I have to become one with it to make up for it." Midoriko shakes her head in response.

"Remember how you didn't let me finish what I was saying about your price?" It was Kagome's turn to nod. "Your price was actually a gift. Letting you relive the years you had lost over a mistake that never should have been able to happen. The Gods feel guilt for all of your trauma so to fully make up for it, they give you the power to make a difference in your created world." Kagome stays silent for a moment to let everything sink in.

"And now you're telling me that I have to stop fighting it?" A silent nod. "Fine. How do I do that? I'm tired of thi-" she stops with a gasp, the pain getting worse by the minute.

"Relax and focus on the Jewel's energy. From there follow your instincts." Kagome couldn't fully understand Midoriko's directions but tried to follow them regardless. "And from this point on, Kagome," the ancient Priestess stops for a moment to make sure Kagome could hear her while she relaxes. "You need to help continue to bring peace to this world that you wished to exist."

"Help bring peace? What do you think I've been training for, Midoriko?" The said woman laughs amusingly.

"As you alway have, my dear, dear child. You have made me so proud," she says as her face is adored by a motherly expression. "Now fulfill your role and become one with the Shikon no Tama, Mother of Heroes!" Kagome focuses on the Jewel before another wave could wash up. It was calling her with a sweet melody, making any last unsettled nerve relax. She reaches out for it, feeling as if it would vanish if she didn't hold it. This was her. This small, dangerous gem that was fragile enough to shatter into hundreds of pieces once upon a time. Her entire existence being because of this pink orb of unimaginable power.

The power it holds erupts in a pillar of light, causing the students to gaze at its brilliance in wonder. A common thought passing through their minds as it leaves as suddenly as it appeared. Moments pass in silence, a beast lurking up from the shadows around Kagome before she snaps up to defend against an attempted sneak attack. Her senses were sharper than just minutes before but at least the pain was completely gone. The beast snarls, annoyed that they had underestimated their prey. Kagome straightens her hand flat by instinct, slashing at the beast as if her limb was a blade. Confusing the beast into a stun, Kagome is able to cut it down with just her hand in an instant as it falls to the ground dead. "This is my power now?" she questions out loud, hoping Midoriko was still there with her. Hearing nothing but the wind in response, Kagome dashes to the specified location. This was an emergency and she needed to speak with her teacher as soon as she possibly could.

Kagome's feet carry her faster than they have ever been able to thanks to the Jewel. She thanks the Gods for their generosity in this life. Thankful she could keep the memories of the people precious to her and give her a life with more people to love and care for. Kagome felt blessed for her life at this moment. The beast charging straight towards her doing nothing to dampen her ecstatic mood.

From the position of the sun in the sky, Kagome could tell it was way past noon and that meant absolutely no way of eating lunch today. Her stomach growls loudly at the thought of food, alerting the beast she had been hiding from for a moment to catch her breath. Groaning in annoyance, Kagome shoots a light arrow at it to purify its existence and reduce it to a shimmering pile of ash in an instant. "That's definitely new. Could I have more of an effect against humans now?" Shaking her head of those slightly villainous thoughts, Kagome continues on her way. It had to be at least 5 p.m. at this point much to her dismay, but she could spot a clearing not too far away from her along with the auras of her friends. "Finally!" She breaks out into a sprint, gaining a boost of adrenaline at the sight.

Breaking through the tree line, Kagome pants and leans forward with her hands on her knees. Everyone was slowly showing up one by one, each looking more exhausted than the last. "Aizawa, I-I have to talk to you," she pants out as she walks over to her teacher while the Pussy-Cats greet the rest of the students. "R-remember what I've told you guys about the Shikon no Tama?" Understanding the seriousness in her voice, the Pro Hero moves her away from the loud area of the other people.

"Did something happen out there?" he asks lowly.

"The pains I've been having in my chest were because of it but it's gone now."

"What do you mean gone?" he says as he gives her a stern look. "A powerful object like that can't just disap-" he stops as Kagome shakes her head quickly.

"I thought the wish I made had been selfish and that's why the Jewel was still here," she starts to explain. "But my wish was actually pure and the Jewel was just waiting for the right moment to disappear from the world."

"What do you mean by that, Higurashi?"

"I-I am the Shikon no Tama now…" Kagome confesses. "The pain I was feeling was it trying to become one with my soul, so…" Aizawa stays quiet to think over this new information, deeming it highly important and he would need to speak with Nezu and Sesshomaru immediately. "I'll call Inuyasha tonight if I ca-"

"That's too risky with this kind of information, Higurashi. You of all people should know this." His tone has Kagome swallow nervously, knowing he was right. "Let me handle the communication and you just worry about your training here. Don't tell anyone or show too much of a change. We can't have anyone being suspicions or asking question." Kagome nods slowly in understanding, still promising herself to tell Izuku about it later. From the corner of her eye, however, Kagome could see a young child sucker punch Izuku in the groin and causing the said male to double over in pain. "Izuku!" she gasps loudly in shock as she rushes over to him while the child's aunt tries to lecture the young boy. She had been able to hear one of the Pussy-Cats mention that the kids name was Kota. "Hey Kota, that wasn't really nice of you," Kagome pouts as she turns towards his direction. The boy stops for a slight moment before continuing on.

"I don't abide by jerks who want to be heroes," Kota sneers despite the small blush on his cheeks. Katsuki makes a comment of liking the kids attitude, hoping to get a small reaction out of Kagome. The corner of her lips twitch slightly as she wills herself not to laugh at his comment, seeing him in Kota. And that was enough for Katsuki to know she didn't actually hate him like she said she did as his heart because light with hope before Todoroki's agreeing comment ruins it.

Aizawa then cuts the chatter, telling the students to get their things from the bus and place them in their rooms before coming to the dining hall for dinner. Tomorrow they were going to start early so they were to go to bed once finished with their meal and washed from the day's events. Kagome smiles blissfully at the thought of a bath before rushing to take her luggage to her room and get to the dining hall for dinner. There was some chatter while the students ate but it mostly consisted of slurred words of mouths full of food. The simple times made Kagome proud to have made her wish, thankful that all of these wonderful people exist in her reclaimed life. An air of content surrounds her, leaving her table in a state of euphoria as they ate their meal. Katsuki watches her from the corner of his eye like usual, forcing himself not to smile at Kagome's blissful energy. Feeling heat rising to his cheeks, Katsuki grabs his plate and shovels food into his mouth to distract him.

The students head to their designated bathing areas between the girls and boys of the classes, each one ready to unwind with a hot bath before settling in for the night. Kagome slips from her towel as she enters the water, a blissful sigh leaving her lips as the warmth hits her aching body. "This is amazing," she sings.

"It really is," Ochaco chimes.

"That was crazy hard!" Mina whines from her rock. "And those beasts were really gross." The girls nod while Kagome can't help but laugh.

"What's so funny, Kagome" Tsuyu croaks out cutely.

"Oh nothing," she smiles widely. "I just couldn't help but remember a few demons I've ran into that kinda looked like those things."

"Demons, huh?" Toru questions curiously. "You sure have seen a lot, huh, Kagome?" before Kagome could respond, however, Kota's voice echoes over theirs as he yells at Mineta to be a decent person before being a hero.

"Mineta really is the worst," Momo sighs as she shakes her head.

"Honestly," Ochaco agrees.

"You're the best, Kota!" Kagome praises out with a wave, causing the young boy to look in her direction. The nude bodies of the female of class 1-A was enough to cause the poor boy to get a nosebleed and fall off the high wall. "Kota!" Kagome gasps loudly as she jumps up in shock, the girls gasping with her. All they could here from the other side was muffled voices of the males.

"He's alright!" Iida calls over the wall after a moment. "Midoriya is taking him to the Pussy-Cats so there is nothing to worry about." The girls let out a unified sigh of relief before giggling at the situation.

"You think he was shocked to see us naked?" Mina asks with a teasing grin.

"That's most likely the case," Momo chimes with a nod.

"Aw poor thing must have gotten so flustered he passed out," Toru gushes. "That's just too cute!" Kagome couldn't help the light hearted laugh that passed her lips, the girls finding the bell like noise to be contagious and laughing alongside her. Soon after, everyone heads off to bed for a good night's sleep before training in the morning. Thankfully for these tired students, sleep came to them on a silver platter.

Morning rolls in with a vengeance, making the exhausted students get out of bed and into their training uniforms at sunrise. Aizawa starts going over the plan for the day while handing Katsuki a ball to throw like the first day of class. Kagome tries her hardest to pay attention to what her teacher was explaining to them, yet her mind was on the dream she had the prior night.

The time when she was around eight or nine that Katsuki had been laughing at something funny she had done and said "Man, I love you." Nothing had brought on the memory. She had been thinking about training as she was drifting to sleep, not Katsuki. So why was that memory there? Why did it have to play in her head? Why was her heart skipping a beat each time those words repeat in her mind? Kagome knows she has deep feelings for the explosive male, yet hasn't let herself fully think about just how deep those feelings go for him. Could she have romantic feelings for Katsuki?

"Kagome? Are you ok?" Ochaco whispers to her, breaking her from her thoughts. "You've been staring into space since Bakugo threw that ball."

"Huh? Yeah I'm fine!"

"But you're blushing really bad."

"Am I?" Kagome asks faintly as her hand touches her inflamed cheek. "I-it's nothing." Ochaco gives her a look of disbelief but drops it nonetheless. They were here to improve their quirks and that was the only thing Kagome was going to let herself think of from this point on. With each student doing their own specific training, Kagome finds herself being hidden by Aizawa's orders. Leaving her feeling a bit disheartened, Kagome takes a deep breath before going by her instinct like Midoriko advised her to do.

Summoning a bow and arrow, Kagome takes aim at a stand alone tree and lets her arrow fly. The tree erupts in pinkish flames for a few seconds before being reduced to a pile of that same pink shimmering ash. This power almost didn't seem fair for her to have seeing as she wasn't aiming to be the Number One Hero like many of her friends were. It made her feel guilty, like she was somehow betraying them by gaining this unbelievable amount of power. A sigh passes her lips. Perhaps Midoriko could help her find out all she was able to do now. "Midoriko? Are you listening?" she calls out loudly, knowing that the others were out of hearing range.

"How can I help you, dearest child?" Midoriko beams kindly at her.

"I'm not exactly certain about everything I'm able to do," Kagome shyly admits as she rubs the back of her neck. "I know you said go with my instinct, but I've-"

"Been distracted with that boy Bakugo?" she interrupts Kagome with a teasing smile. "I'm well aware of your mental state, Kagome." Midoriko continues on to walk Kagome through her newfound power, the hours passing by like minutes. Dinner time rolls in before Kagome knew what happened, finally feeling her stomach growl in need. Ragdoll and Pixie-Bob stated that they were to make their own meal for tonight, much to Kagome's delight. She always found herself enjoying making dinner for her group back then, basking in the bliss of being able to help out now. It was a simple curry with rice that everyone seems to enjoy after a long day of hard training. Another bath to soothe their aching bodies before bed just to restart the next morning.

From the moment of waking up, Kagome had a bad feeling about what was going to happen today. Yet she pushes the feeling down to prepare for another day of training and then cooking with the rest of the class. Then they were to do a test of courage. The bad feeling from that morning was getting worse by the moment, causing Kagome to become worried about her friends.

Kagome shakes her head before looking at Momo; her partner for the test of courage; with a bright smile. "Are you ready for this?"

"I hope this is fun," Momo smiles back, thankful to be partners with a friend and not Mineta. When it was their turn to go in, the pair linked arms and watched their surroundings with excitement.

"Who do you think is going to pop out first?" Kagome laughs softly, already pinpointing where each person was hiding. But something else caught her attention as she scanned for auras. Her flame was here with his friends. A sting hits her nose, making her go onto high alert. "Momo we need gas masks," she states in a hushed tone as Momo looks at her confused. "I think there is poisoned gas in the air." The girl widens her eyes before quickly making a few masks for them and anyone who could possibly be nearby. A mist fills into their area, confirming Kagome's fears of the situation. They were under attack. Spotting Tetsutetsu and another 1-B student, Momo gives them masks to help them against the toxic mist before heading splitting up. Somewhere along the way to find others, Kagome gets separated from Momo, leaving her alone in the dark. "Everyone in class A and B… Fight back!" Kagome's eyes widen in horror. The attack was worse than she thought and all of her friends were in danger. What had her shaken was the next words to echo through her mind. "One of the villains' targets has been identified! It's the student known as Kacchan!" Her heart stops hearing his name, her blood running cold. They were there for him? Why?! Rage fills her body as she tries to head towards where she could feel Katsuki, yet comes to a complete stop upon feeling how close her flame was to her.

Kagome holds her breath, waiting for them to speak from behind her. Only a few feet stood between her at her mysterious villain. Her flame she has found so much comfort in. But her mouth has always been faster than her mind. "Why are you here?" she asks loudly, not daring to turn around and face the mystery.

"I'm sure you were just told by that pathetic Pro," the deep and rather seductive voice responds.

"What do you want with Bakugo then?" Despite everything telling her to run from him, she just couldn't bring her body to obey her logic. "...And why have you been watching me?"

"For someone who said that they weren't interesting," he chuckles darkly as he begins to close the space between them. "You sure know a lot of interesting people."

"Just leave my friends alone." Kagome finds her will to run as he stands right behind her, running as fast as she can away from him and into Shoji carrying Izuku on his back along with Katsuki, Tokoyami, and Todoroki

"Kagome! You're safe!" Izuku smiles weakly, pinning the attention to the girl.

"What happened over here?" she asks to change the topic. "And what happened to you, Izuku?!" They give her a brief rundown about how Tokoyami went into a rampage because of Dark Shadow and was able to defeat a villain, but Izuku says nothing about how he had gotten so hurt. The group continues on their way to find others in their class and find Ochaco and Tsuyu with an older looking girl that was leaving them.

"Who was that?"

"A villain," Ochaco shivers. Kagome wished she could use her quirk to heal them, but with how tough Midoriko and Aizawa were being with training, she was exhausted beyond belief. While the other spoke, Kagome looks back to find Katsuki missing from the group while her heart stops.

"Looking for him?" a male calls out from somewhere around them, Kagome cursing herself for not watching out. "I've taken him with my magic."

"Give him back!" Kagome snaps as her energy starts swirling around her, shocking those around her. "Give back Katsuki!"

"Oh but he is much more suited to truly shine with us," the villain laughs. "But to 'give him back'? What an odd thing for someone who hates him to say." His laugh fuels her anger for him. "Bakugo doesn't belong to anyone."

"Exactly! He doesn't belong to the villains! He's going to be one of the best heroes the world has ever seen!" Kagome screams, her heart pounding in her ears at the thought of losing him. "Now Give. Him. Back!" she demands. And that's when everything starts to speed around her. The villain attacks, talks about how easily he was able to snag them, and communicates with the rest of his team.

"Bait is set," he quickly adds at the end before cutting off and disappearing.

"Where did he go?!" Kagome yells once out of her daze, panic filling her voice. Not caring for what she was warned against with her new power, Kagome leaps into action. Literally jumping above the trees to get a clear view of where exactly the villain was.

"Kagome?!" Izuku and Ochaco call after her, shocked voices mixing. "You can't just leave us.

"I can't just let Kacchan be taken away from me either!" Kagome screams back, her mind not catching the words falling from her mouth. The group follows close behind her in response, knowing they can't stop her. Jumping from tree to tree like she has seen Inuyasha do countless times, she tries to catch up to the villain who took her friends. Izuku, Shoji, and Todoroki manage to catch up to her pace then pass her and knock the villain into the group where the others in his group were. Kagome lands beside them as Shoji is quick to hand her the pills containing their friends. Slight of hand and then go into the shadows to watch the villain confidently stand and walk towards the flame aura. Finally seeing the one who has brought her slight comfort gave her chills knowing he was capable of doing such evil things. Glancing at the pills in her hand, her eyes widen realizing they were fake. Snapping her eyes towards the villain, she rushes towards him as Shoji tries to trump them by saying she had them safe. "She's quick," the villain chuckles before sticking out his tongue to reveal where they actually were. Faster than anyone could think, Kagome sends a beam of light from her palm towards him, knocking his head to side and making him spit out the pills that held Tokoyami and Katsuki. Todoroki and Shoji are quick to react and try to catch them. Shoji is able to catch Tokoyami but a hand from a warp gate snags Katsuki before Todoroki could grab him.

"Too bad for you," the villain with dark scars over his body smirks darkly at Todoroki. Kagome rushes over as fast as her body would allow after that blast, fear appearing in her eyes as Katsuki appears from the pill with her flames hand around the back of his neck. Kagome eyes lock with Katsuki's as tears being to spill down her cheeks.

"Stay back," he tells her weakly as he reaches a hand towards her. Not being able to take it, Kagome flings herself towards the warp gate.

"DON'T TAKE MY KATSUKI!"
