A.N. — I find it amusing that (almost) all the DADA professors get canonical birth dates when they last only one year each. This woman, IMO, deserves nothing. But boy, is she fun to play with in fanon. Cartoonishly evil is just plain entertaining to write (and hopefully to read).
238. Dolores Umbridge
Dolores thought it a great birthday gift to herself, arranging things so she'd be Hogwarts next DADA professor. Who else was more worthy to mold the next generation of magical minds than her, after all? With a governmental seal of approval, and a series of decrees on file and waiting to be implemented, Dolores had a mandate to usher in sweeping changes.
She'd be unpopular, but the cause was far more important than a congenial relationship with staff and students. Dolores would be sweet on the surface, and sour to those who opposed the necessary new normal.
