Motions a bit too fast to register dance in her dreams. Muffled voices ring out in familiar tones with a few clear enough to understand. "One of the villains' targets has been identified! It's the student known as Kacchan!" Why did that name send a chill down her spine? Why did the owner look so welcoming despite his outwards approach? From everything she's gathered over the past few days, Kagome has come to realize just how much Katsuki must mean to her. How much Izuku and Shoto mean. "What an odd thing for someone who hates him to say. Bakugo doesn't belong to anyone."

Kagome's voice calls out, making her toss and turn in bed. "He's going to be one of the best heroes the world has ever seen!" More rapid motions pass before everything stops on Katsuki, his face scrunched in his usual scornful expression yet this one was terrified.

"Stay back." Kagome could barely comprehend his lips moving nor his hand reaching to her. Tears build in her eyes as she feels herself lunge towards him and scream out.

"DON'T TAKE MY KATSUKI!"

Kagome wakes up being violently shaken, her eyes snapping open as she stops the sob coming up. Ochaco holds her shoulders tightly as she looks at Kagome completely worried. "Kagome are you ok?" Kagome says nothing as she wraps her arms around her friend and cries into her shoulder. Ochaco relaxes and plays with Kagome's hair gently. "Do you wanna talk about it?" Still nothing from the ravennette. Ochaco waits a moment for her to calm down to a gentle sniffle. "Did you remember something?" she asks in a soft voice. Kagome nods after a moment.

"Ochaco?" Kagome whispers. "What happened the night Katsuki and I got kidnapped?" Ochaco stops her movements on Kagome's hair.

"Well," she sighs. "You weren't really talking to him because of a fight you got into and then when you realized he was being targeted you swapped your attitude completely."

"So everything that happened that night…" Kagome hiccups slightly. "With Zuzu and Katsuki." Ochaco nods. Kagome opens her mouth to say something until a light knock interrupts her.

"Is everything ok?" Mina calls out from the other side before opening the door. "Kagome? Oh, good Ochaco you're here," she smiles as she closes the door behind her.

"I'm sorry for waking you," Kagome sniffles again.

"We're more worried about you than anything else," Ochaco cuts in quickly with Mina nodding in agreement.

"Exactly so don't worry about it," Mina beams as she sits on the bed. "Do you need a sleepover to keep away the nightmares?"

"Actually," Kagome scratches her cheek as she fully pulls away from Ochaco. "I need something to bring more of them."

"Wait what?" Mina tilts her head slightly before snapping it straight again. "Oh! You remember something! That's awesome!"

"Yeah but it's nothing pleasant," Ochaco sighs.

"Ok less awesome, but still!" Mina laughs softly. "What did you remember, 'Gome?"

"A little of the night in the forest to put it simply."

"Oh." Silence fills the air for a moment. "Yikes." The three giggle before Kagome yawns. Currently 3:19, the two bid goodnight to Kagome as they leave to get a bit more rest.

Neither Kagome's alarm nor a knock wakes her this morning. Instead, her phone blares with an incoming call. Shocking her awake, Kagome answers as she rubs her eyes tiredly. "Hello?"

"Hey Damsel," a male voice calls out from the other line. "Long time no speak." Kagome says nothing as she pulls her phone from her ear to look at the callerID. My Hero Hitoshi. "Damsel?" Kagome shakes her head slightly then answers.

"H-hey, sorry," she sighs out. "A lot has happened and I haven't had much time to-"

"I know what happened, Kagome," he interrupts quickly. "You don't have to hide it from me."

"That makes things a little easier then," she sighs softly. His voice was as familiar as the rest, yet so out of place in her memory. It was that odd feeling of being at home with a stranger.

"Easier for you maybe," he scoffs. "From what Aizawa has said, you're a bit messed up in the head right now."

"More or less," she mumbles. "So, Hitoshi," Kagome starts with a bit of confidence. "Tell me about our memories together." Another fifteen minutes pass before Kagome's attention is taken from Hitoshi and to the knock on her door. "I'll call you back after training today," Kagome speaks quickly as she cuts him off. "You have to promise to tell me more about the training we did. I want to remember everyone important."

"Anything for you, Damsel." Before Kagome could respond, Hitoshi quickly hangs up. Kagome blushes brightly as she looks at her black phone screen. Another knock pulls her back to reality.

"Who is it?" she calls out as she nearly stumbles over her words.

"It's Deku, is everything ok in there 'Gome?" the male calls from behind the door. "Can I come in?" Kagome blushes a bit more, hoping he didn't hear what she had told Hitoshi during the last part of the call.

"Y-yeah! Come in!" she calls back. Izuku enters already wearing his hero costume for training.

"Are you sure you're feeling ok?" he looks at her worried. "You look a little red." Kagome shakes her head quickly to try and get rid of her blush. From talking to Hitoshi and then seeing Izuku walk in, her mind was almost completely fried.

"I-I'm fine!" she says after a moment. "Just had a weird dream last night is all." Izuku nods knowingly.

"That's right. Ochaco was telling me about that before I came to get you." His expression was serious yet there was nothing but admiration in his eyes. "She said it had something to do with the night you and Kacchan got taken…" Kagome nods this time.

"I don't remember much but I did get a few parts of what happened…" The snippets she did get were on repeat in her mind like a broken record. Her heart rate begins to rise as the fear she felt that night was resurfacing. Tears build in her eyes as she looks up at him from her bed. "Why did this happen? Why were we taken?" Kagome's breath starts to quicken almost to the point of hyperventilating as her hands clench her blanket. "Why don't I remember?" her voice is weak as she speaks, finally breaking down after a few days of trying to keep everything inside.

"'Gome…" Izuku says softly as he sits next to her and pulls her into a hug. Kagome's tears pour out like broken flood gates as she clings to him. "You'll get your memories back, I know you will. You can't be so hard on yourself when you have no control over it." Izuku plays with her hair as he speaks, trying his best to comfort her.

"But I don't remember you or Katsuki or, or," Kagome hiccups slightly as she buries her head against his shoulder. "I want to remember you so badly."

"You will," he repeats. "And while you're regaining your other memories, you're making new ones along the way." Izuku pulls away far enough to look at her face. A large smile graces his own while tears dot his vision.

"You don't hate me for not knowing? You're not mad?" Kagome starts going into hysterics. "You have every reason to leave me behind and I wouldn't know the difference!"

"'Gome-"

"I'm just going to get in the way of everyone. I'm going to hold you back! I'm so far behind that it's not even funny!"

"'Gome-"

"I should have been kicked out of the class once they knew what happened! I don't deserve to be a hero-" Izuku is finally able to stop her rambling by stealing her lips into a kiss.

Kagome gasps loudly as she wakes up, confused as to what was reality and what was a dream. Smacking her cheek lightly, she sighs at the welcoming sting. Her focus then turns to her lips as her fingers trace over them, remembering exactly how Izuku's lips felt against them. A blush starts creeping onto her cheeks while more confusing settles in. First the dream of That night then something completely out of left field. A loud knock causes Kagome to jump out of her thoughts as her blush darkens. "Wh-who is it?" she stumbles this time.

"It's Aizawa," her teacher calls. "You're late for training so hurry up and get down there." His footsteps get softer as he walks away, leaving her with those brief words. Kagome sighs as she pulls herself out of bed and into her hero costume. Once done, she rushes to the training area without grabbing breakfast. Already so behind, already so late, Kagome just couldn't get enough time to get anything done or to understand what was happening around her. Her mind was ready to break.

"Took you long enough," Aizawa huffs slightly. "We need to speak about your current mental situation, Higurashi." Kagome bites her lip, already having an idea about what he was about to say.

"If it's about me being really far behind, I'm working as hard as I can each day we train!" Kagome looks down. "Am I not doing well enough?"

"That's not the problem," he shakes his head. "I can't have you take the provisional exam if you can't remember why you're even here." Kagome stays quiet, not able to find the words to disagree with him. "I'm not saying you can't take it ever. I mean you probably won't be able to take it this time around." Kagome nods in understanding, her mind about to snap. For someone who was able to travel through time, she sure ran out of it too quickly. "Get to training, we both know you need it." Kagome nods once more before heading to her area. She calls out Midoriko with a soft voice, not finding any strength in herself today.

"Have you thought of how to combine everything you have been working on?" the older Miko asks. Kagome nods silently as she gets into her stance. "Not much for talking today, I see." Kagome ignores the comment and forms a bow while aiming towards the ceiling.

"Heaven's rain," Kagome whispers out as she shoots a single arrow up. When it gets close enough to the ceiling it scatters. It reminded Kagome of when the Shikon shattered all those nonexistent years ago. The pieces disappear before getting close to any of her classmates, not wanting to chance them getting hurt because of her. Switching onto a higher platform, she keeps this up for a while until she hears someone yelling. Looking over to the commotion, Kagome watches as Izuku kicks away debris from Katsuki's training. This was definitely new, considering her mind wasn't in pain watching him train. That is until her head did start hurting. Kagome holds her head as she stumbles backwards, more flashes appear behind her eyelids. Her vision blurs as she tries to open her eyes, only able to make out Midoriko's figure beneath.

"Is everything ok up there, Kagome?" Midoriko calls up to her. Kagome says nothing as she continues to mentally fight for her sight back and steps right over the edge. Feeling herself go weightless, Kagome's mind clears enough for her to process three figures lunging at her. Their muffled voices mix together as she closes her eyes again. Within seconds she feels someone catch her, holding her close as they pant harshly from the adrenaline.

"Kagome?" the person speaks softly. "What happened for you to fall like that?" Kagome shakes her head slightly, not wanting to open her eyes just yet as she still felt the dizziness. "Did you get hurt at all?" Again she shakes her head as she focuses on how hot the arm on her back feels and how cold the one behind her knees is.

"I'm a-alright, Todo-"

"Shoto," he corrects without missing a beat causing her to smile.

"Shoto," Kagome corrects herself. "Are you ok? Because in the next minute I'll be a burnt popsicle." Todoroki blushes slightly from embarrassment and gets his temperature under control again just as the other two make it.

"What the hell was that?!" Katsuki snaps. "Are you trying to get yourself hurt?!"

"That was really reckless of you, 'Gome," Izuku cuts in. "You shouldn't be that high up when you are still getting these dizzy spells." Kagome says nothing as they continue lecturing her about her safety.

"Are you alright enough to stand?" Todoroki interrupts the other two males. Kagome nods as she wraps her arm around his shoulders to stable herself as he sets her legs down. Another wave of dizziness hits as her legs go to jello and she clings onto Todoroki for support.

"I guess not…" Kagome mumbles embarrassed. Midoriko makes her way to the four, concerned for her student's mental state.

"I think that's enough for today, Kagome," she states.

"I'm not done," Kagome argues back. "I need all the time I can get to train!" She pushes herself from Todoroki and trips a few times before getting her balance. "I-I can keep going."

"Not if you're reacting like this," the elder Miko says. "Your mind needs to heal before you can continue your training." Kagome stops completely, knowing it could possibly take years for her memories to come back and she didn't have that time. While they banter, the rest of the class finds their way over, concern written on all their faces. Kagome fails to notice them while focusing on Midoriko.

"I have to train-"

"You have to rest," Midoriko cuts her off. "You mentally cannot handle even seeing these boys without something happening to you!"

"But-"

"Don't you see how worried they are about you? You're just making it wor-"

"DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW THAT?!" Kagome cuts her off this time, tears building in her eyes. The three males jump from the sudden shouting, having not been aware of how she was dealing with everything. "I've been trying so hard to remember, to train, to fit in again. Yet nothing is working!"

"'Gome…" Izuku whispers as he puts his hand on her shoulder. Though he isn't able to reach her.

"I can barely sleep and when I do, I can never remember my dreams like I usually can. Part of me is missing completely and I don't know how to get it back this time…" Todoroki places his hand on her other shoulder.

"Kagome, why didn't you tell anyone?" Said girl was still lost in her ranting to recognize Todoroki's question.

"HOW CAN I BE A HERO IF I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER WHY I WANT TO BE ONE IN THE FIRST PLACE?!"

"Shut up, will you?" Katsuki places his hand on her head, making her jump. "If you want to know, you could have just asked." Kagome turns around slowly to face him, finally realizing her classmates had gathered around to make sure she was ok. Her tears spill silently as she looks up to meet Katsuki's gaze. "When we were kids," he sighs softly. "Me, you, and Deku promised to become heroes together. So don't act like you don't have a damn reminder!"

"He's right," Izuku pipes in. "You can always talk to us about anything. You don't have to be alone." Alone. The word repeats in her head as her tears stream down. Had she really been handling this alone again? Helping everyone carry their burdens while she keeps hers under lock and key. Her mind swims with these thoughts before she can register that she had started running away. Shouts of concern go unheard.

The sound of her door shutting behind her pulls her back to reality. Kagome's back hits her door as she slides down and holds her knees. She felt pathetic and cowardly, completely unsure of what to do or who to turn to. A soft sob escapes her lips, upset with herself for getting too worked up in front of everyone. Resting her head on her knees, she lets herself cry it out for a bit.

Time becomes nearly nonexistent for her until a soft knock pulls her out of her thoughts. The sun was nearly gone in the wipes her eyes as she slowly stands. "Yes?" she calls out softly.

"Are you doing ok, Kagome?" the light croak of Tsuyu answers. "I know we don't talk much, kero, but I know you're going through the unimaginable and I want to be there for you if you'd let me, kero." Kagome stays quiet for a moment, concerned for her voice as she slowly opens the door. Tsuyu greets her with a small smile and caring eyes.

"Thank you, Tsu," Kagome smiles teary-eyed. Tsuyu's eyes widened just a fraction, knowing well enough that she hadn't told nor corrected Kagome to call her that instead of her full first name. There was hope for the near future they would be getting Kagome back. Tsuyu's heart swells happily, knowing exactly what Kagome would need.

"Hey, how about we do a hangout, kero," she starts after nodding. "Just us girls." Kagome nods slightly as her smile grows.

"I can get snacks and some movies," Kagome sniffles, finally calming down from everything today.

"I'll grab blankets for it, kero," Tsuyu grabs her phone from her pocket. "I'm sure we can do it tonight if you'd like." Kagome nods again.

"Let me shower and I'll be ready."

"I'll message you whose room, kero." With that, Kagome closes her door to grab a change of clothes and heads to the showers. Making quick work of it, Kagome is out in a flash and in a better mood than earlier. Her phone goes off as she dries her hair and sure enough Froppy pops on-screen with a short message saying they would be in Mina's room for the night. Another message pops up from Mina saying to grab as many blankets as possible for a "super awesome blanket fort". Kagome laughs softly to herself as she heads back to her room to grab movies and some of the blankets she had readily available.

Her phone lights up again as she knocks on Mina's door. Grabbing her phone to see she had a text from My Hero Hitoshi as the door opens, Kagome laughs slightly at Toru pulling out facemask kits and a rainbow of soft headbands. "Kagome!" the girls there cheer. They were currently waiting on Jirou to show up with one of her smaller stereos and Ochaco to grab tabletop games.

"Hey, guys," Kagome waves after putting her stack of blankets on the bed. "I wasn't sure what everyone liked so I kinda grabbed everything." She rubs the back of her neck nervously.

"Aww!" Mina starts gushing. "You are always just too cute, 'Gome!"

"Are you feeling better? Kero," Tsuyu asks once Kagome sits down in the small half circle on the floor.

"That shower felt like a blessing," Kagome sighs happily as the others giggle softly. "I'm sorry about earlier, guys."

"Stop it right there," Ochaco says from the doorway. "That will be the first and only time you say that word tonight!" Kagome laughs softly at the brunette's timing. A few blankets and games in hand, Ochaco sets them down before joining everyone on the floor. "You have nothing to be sorry for." The others nod in agreement as Jirou finally shows up, completing the group.

"Great! Everyone's here!" Mina shouts excitedly. Jirou is quick to hook up her stereo while Toru starts helping everyone with facemasks. Kagome smiles softly as she watches, appreciating the normality this hangout was. They were high school girls after all. Music playing in the background and laughter blaring over it as the girls play card games. Mina and Jirou get competitive during a game of Uno, being the last two still standing in the "tournament".

The night continues on with them chatting and joking around together until they decide to watch a movie. While picking between Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away, a song from Jirou's stereo catches Kagome's attention. The soft melody of the piano is a contrast to the current moment, but Kagome couldn't help but get lost in it. Rest your head onto my chest, I'll tell you stories of the life we could have had. The pick up of the song strikes a chord in Kagome's chest, the harmony touching her soul. Her mind raced with memory after memory, a soft gasp escaping her lips. Playdates and after school hangouts with Izuku and Katsuki. Meeting Todoroki and Hitoshi. The entrance exam with Ochaco. The bus ride next to Tokoyami. From fighting Shippo to getting blasted by Katsuki, then time seemed to slow as the song went on. She could remember everything from the night everything changed. The way her heart broke at the mere thought of losing Katsuki that she threw herself into danger with him. Kagome could remember the accident with Katsuki that left her forearms scarred. When she held him after the slime villain and told him she would always be there for him.

Getting up from her seat as the song ends, Kagome quietly excuses herself from the room of chatty girls. Once the door closed behind her, she couldn't decide what she wanted to do more. Cry in her room for hours on end for how much pain she has caused her friends or run to all of them and tell them she could remember everything. Her feet decide for her as they lead her to the kitchen. She could use snacks as the excuse for her absence when she gets back to the girls. Her mind keeps circling back to Katsuki and Izuku, feeling so much guilt for pushing them away. Kagome grabs a cup of cold water to calm herself down, unaware of the person coming down to do the same thing.

Leaning against the counter, Kagome sighs softly as she focuses on her cup until she hears the cabinet close next to her. Katsuki had pulled down a cup and was in the fridge for a drink. A lump appears in Kagome's throat at the sight of him. Her best friend, her partner in crime.

"You're staring off, dumbass," he says as she looks down once more as she puts her cup in the sink.

"S-sorry," Kagome whispers back, unable to look at him again. Her heart was beating so fast it almost made her head spin and the twist in her stomach was worse than a day or so ago.

"Spit it out, Kagome," Katsuki demands as he grabs her upper arm gently, afraid to hurt her again. She keeps her gaze down as she follows his pull.

"You have to promise to keep it between us for now ok?" Kagome says after a moment, hoping he was still as clever as she remembered him to be. The slight hitch in his breath confirms he caught on, his grip tightening on her arm a bit.

"You better not be joking." Kagome shakes her head as she hugs him. Katsuki returns the hug immediately, unable to control the swell of emotions in his chest. She was back. His Kagome was back.

"I know exactly what it feels like to live without knowing you," Kagome sniffles out against his shoulder. "I never want that life again." She could feel him shaking against her but she couldn't hear anything from him. "I missed you so much, Katsuki."
