She felt stupid. Utterly and entirely idiotic for even being out here without fully confirming the identity of the person messaging her. She should have checked the area instead of running headfirst into the situation and maybe then she would have realized that Shippo was nowhere close to being here. But no, for the first time in a long time, Kagome had fallen for one of the oldest tricks played by villains. "Ouch, Princess, that hurts," Dabi chuckles as he pulls his hands away to stuff them in his pockets. "And here I thought we had something." Kagome just glares at him, more curious than afraid of his intentions. This was the person that had been following her without taking action, had brought odd comfort with their presence, had attacked her friends and teacher. The more Kagome thought about this person, the more she felt intrigued by the reasons behind his actions and intentions. Perhaps it was because of his aura that reminded her so much of Todoroki or his eyes that held much deeper despair.
"You need me to heal you again, don't you?" Kagome asks after a moment. His aura was flaring up in pain as he calmly stood there. Didn't he take medication for it? Going so long without any treatment must be taking a lot out of the villain in front of her. "You're barely holding together as it is, Dabi." The moment those words left her lips, Kagome felt like she overstepped and gave out too much information at the same time. She was genuinely concerned for him and from the looks of it, she had hit the nail right on the head. Dabi sighs after a moment before leaning on a tree and sliding down to sit.
"Since you already know everything, Princess," he mocks. "Hurry the fuck up and get on with it." Kagome huffs softly in response as she kneels next to him to begin treatment. Starting with his face as her hands glow, she notices that the work she did last time was burnt again from him over using his quirk for heaven knows what.
"If you want this to stop, you should be more careful with your quirk use," Kagome says absentmindedly as she works, the dark purple scars slowly fading away from each touch.
"Like I need a lecture from a kid," Dabi scoffs with a glare. It was one thing to heal him, but to comment on how he gets shit done is something else entirely.
"Well, this kid is fixing up your sorry ass again," she bites back, not bothering to look up to meet his glare. "And I still haven't gotten a 'thank you' fro-" Kagome's words get cut off by Dabi grabbing her face tightly with one hand as he smushes her cheeks, making her stop her work.
"I didn't come out here to listen to you bitch, Princess," he almost snarls out, trying to get that fear to shine in her eyes like they did when he took Katsuki. Yet he got nothing but a bored expression from her and a hand holding his wrist. He could kill her right here and she was bored?! "I don't want to be here all night." Dabi lets go of her face as he relaxes once more.
"Now that you're done throwing a fit," Kagome almost yawns out before getting back to healing him. "Mind telling me why you've been following me?"
"Back to that shit?" he groans slightly in annoyance. "With the shit you pull constantly, I'm surprised I'm the only one." Kagome's nail ends up snagging on one of his stables on his chest, her expression turning more sarcastic as he hisses in the pinch of pain.
"Oops, did I do that?" she mocks with a glare. "Sorry, I was trying to figure out who needed who right now." Getting to his arms, she silently tells him to remove his jacket by tugging it slightly. "The faster we get this done, the faster I can go to bed." Dabi responds with a low chuckle as he takes off his jacket.
"Yet here you are undressing me." Kagome stops in her tracks and glares at him. A soft blush appears on her face as thoughts her older self would think come racing in.
"Y-you realize how old I am right?" she stumbles out.
"Now see, that itself is debatable," he smirks, finally getting the reactions he's wanted from her. "Your dear Shippo would state otherwise." Hearing his name makes Kagome's heart sink. What has he told the villains about her? Did Naraku tell them anything? She was growing more confused and wasn't sure what all he knew about her. "I see those little gears turning, Princess. You finally understand the situation you put yourself in?"
"You're just messing with me Dabi," Kagome composes herself quickly. "I am only 15 and you're being a pedophile." That didn't sit well with him, however, as he glares at her in response and seems ready to attack her. Yet he couldn't bring himself actually go through with it, seeing as she was helping him. "I'm just calling it as I see it, Patchwork," she finishes with a smirk and looks at her handiwork. The scars weren't as deep a purple and even gained a flesh color back to it.
"Are we done?" he sighs out in annoyance. Just when he thought he got under her skin, she does it right back as if nothing happened. From when he first started following her after the Sports Festival, she had grown more and more interesting to not just him, but his league. Something about this girl has so many people losing their shit it was almost comical. Demons, Pro Heroes, Villains, hell even the tree he was leaning against seemed to reach out to her. Dabi couldn't help but stare at her while she worked on him, the rush from last time now filling his veins. The addiction he got to this feeling the first time wasn't something he thought would happen. Sure he's been an addict for a few years now, but none of the drugs he was taking compared to this.
"Yeah, you're free to go," Kagome sighs as she stands up, dusting off any dirt on her jeans. "I'd rather not make this a thing, Patchwork, so enjoy it while it lasts." She turns to leave as Dabi stands up and grabs her wrist, clearly not caring for her last comment.
"I can't do that, Princess," he chuckles darkly as she looks back at him. "You see, you're the only one that can take the pain so easily. And the rush afterward," Dabi takes a deep, shaky breath as if to prove a point. "Is intoxicating. So unless you want me to put out there that you; a top U.A. first year; have been sneaking off to heal a villain all over the news." Kagome breathes in sharply, realizing the situation she had put herself in. "You'll be a good little girl and do as I say." Letting go of her hand, Dabi then walks away like he didn't just threaten her. "See you next week, Princess."
Kagome watches as he leaves, her heart slowly sinking to her stomach as reality sets in. It was just like her to get into an entanglement with a villain. She runs back to the dorm as the fear hits her force. Tears sting in her eyes as her door closes behind her and her clock reads past three a.m. in bold red letters. Deciding to change back into her sleepwear, Kagome slowly peels off her hoodie as her reflection in the mirror catches her attention. The plain black shirt she put on wasn't hers by any means, not if the angular skull design was anything to go by.
The sight of the shirt made her feel worse about her situation. No one would trust her and she wouldn't blame them either. The tears fall free as she stares at herself, despair consuming her as thoughts of doubt take over her mind. How was she ever going to face Katsuki and Izuku again?
