A.N. — Here begins a three-day detour from school, starting with a death date. The next two will be yet another twinned set of drabbles. Wandlore is something sadly lacking in the books, for its apparent importance. Speaking of importance, this guy's missing from the character tags.

245. Mykew Gregorovitch

He wasn't Ollivander, and Gregorovitch thought himself all the better for it.

Sure, Garrick had the reputation, but Mykew had versatility. He'd never limit himself to using only three core materials. Some customers felt the pull of a thestral's hair, or sought the shimmer of a mermaid's scales. Everyone who entered his shop was unique; Gregorovitch had to craft wands for the individual, not merely match them up like a dating service.

Ollivander seemed ethereal and all-knowing, yet it was Gregorovitch folks sought for the secrets of wandlore. They each had their niche; Mykew felt he'd carved his more carefully.
