Supergirl beyond crisis on earth x Chapter 13 Sirens Assemble
Its hard to believe a year has passed since the fight in midtown and the defeat of the world killers. National City had enjoyed a peaceful time being that now team supergirl was not the only protector of the city many did not dare to get out of hand. Since the team got together they had all made strides to become better. For Lena it took some time for Kara to get used to the idea of Lena working outside of the DEO but over time Kara became accepting of the idea. Kara did not want this to come in between the two because in the end she loved Lena above all else, and Kara had to admit Lena handled herself very well fighting the worldkillers. Since the midtown fight Lena and Kara had been going strong in there relationship being honest and trusting in there relationship. Both Lena and Kara couldn't believe that it had been over a year since they got together now for the two of them this being there longest relationship. When they were not together Kara was the ace journalist reporting the news to National City's public. For Lena's part she returned back to being the CEO of L Corp. In that year Lena had created new versions of the original Iron Maiden outfit. Mark two was the stealth suit it had most of the weapons and abilities of the mark one except this had special armor plating that allowed the suti to become invisible when activated. The mark three was the Iron Dynamo which was Lena's reaction to stronger opponents having more strength and weapons then the mark one. Lena still had not had any opportunities to use the new suits since the city had been quit. Lena however did not care she saw the Iron Maiden as a chance to truly undue all the damage that Lex did, and she is glad that she can now help in a more comprehensive manner. That being said in the past year Lena was still unsure if she should join Batwoman's group still not trusting of Kate Kane. That being said she did have to admit that it was a thrill working with the team against the worldkillers last year.
At Kane industries Kate Kane was looking out over National City since the fight in midtown Batwoman had become a household name, but more importantly Kane Industries had established itself as a major player within National City. For Kate however the last year had been a great personal year for her having Ivy by her side now. Ivy was busy trying to create new ways to help the environment in her new department head position at Kane industries. Ivy for her part was filling into her new role, and for the first time in her life she felt truly happy she had Kate who loved her unconditionally, and she was given the opportunity to help the planet in a legitimate way and in a broader way as well.
Livewire had also gotten a job at Kane industries wanting to get out of that run down diner. Kate had offered Leslie the position of being the head of Kane industries Public Relation department being that her background was in radio and media. Leslie who was one fo the biggest skeptics of joining Batwomans new team was now completely on board one of the reason she took the job at kane industries
Perhaps the happiest of the bunch was Kiara Wagner and Diana. The two woman had been going strong in their relationship for over a year and half, and both had become better for it. They would both tell you that they are not your typical sappy couple but to everyone else they were the mushiest couple you could imagine. That being said they were also the most formidable pair with the relationship as strong as it is gave them a big advantage in fights being that they knew each other so well. Many have tried to defeat them Kara and Lena, Batwoman and Ivy, Livewire and Supergirl, Jimmy and Mon El it did not matter who it was Diana and Kiara swiftly beat all of them with surgical precision.
The past year ushered in many new dynamics perhaps the biggest was with Sam Arias. Over the year Sam waged an internal civil war with herself to control reign. Supergirl and the others had endeavored to try and find a way to separate Reign and Sam or to eliminate reign completely, but both plans proved futile. The only way was for Sam and Reign to coexist with each other and for Sam to take control in an attempt to contain Reign. It was a hard fight, but eventually Sam's love for Ruby is what made the difference as well as the collective help of team supergirl. Lena took Sam back as the COO of L Corp wanting to help her friend in any way she could. Perhaps the biggest shock was Alex and Maggie had broken came as a shock to everyone because of the love that was obvious between the two, but in the end they just couldn't survive the differing long term goals that the other had. Alex was in a very depressed state in the immediate aftermath. Both Kara and Ruby tried the best they could to help Alex any way they could. What broke Alex out of her stupor was Sam. Alex was one of the main people outside of Ruby and Lena to help Sam and had a lot of success getting thru to Sam and keeping Reign in check, and both formed a strong bond. Both would not admit it but because of this both formed a romantic attraction but neither would act on it especially now with Alex s close to her break up with Maggie and Sam still trying to pick up the pieces left by reign and fix her relationship with Ruby and the others. It took a year but she was finally in a good place, but more importantly she was able to coexist with Reign. It was an adjustment but Reign was content at this point to be behind the scenes so to speak, and would come out when necessary for her own preservation as well as protecting Sam. The first of these moments was when a mugger tried to rob Sam's purse, and Reign unleashed her certain brand of justice. Sam however at times did struggle with control and sometimes when Reign would come out it was difficult to contain her again, but Sam got better and better every time.
Life has been very normal depending on who you talk to or stale if you talked to others. However this normalcy was welcome because they could get back to their lives. Jimmy these days spends more time running Catco, and Kate spends more time running Kane industries and working on her relationship with Pamela. Alex, Sam, and Ruby had been spending time with each other. Even Kara had a chance to start focusing on her reporting rather than being supergirl. However as the saying goes all good things must come to an end
It was a typical Friday night for Diana and Kiara. They had returned to the penthouse with Kate and Pamela after their traditional friday night double date night. The four women had become pretty close to inseparable, and in the past year Kate had moved in permanently to the penthouse using the guestroom Ivy had been using while staying with Ivy. As the four walked into the apartment Kiara was broken from her pleasant stupor by a noise in the corner of the room from an unknown intruder, and without warning zoomed to the kitchen counter grabbed a knife and through it at the intruder and to the shock of all the unknown man caught the knife bare hand before it could hit him. The intruder spoke " well Diana i can see why you like this one she is a fierce warrior to say the least '' The figure stepped into the light wearing a greek toga golden helmet with wings on the top. Diana instantly recognized him and bowed " Hermes! What can i do to serve the messenger of the gods' ' The other three were shocked at the reaction of the amazon never seeing Diana bow to anyone especially a man. However Ivy was a little star struck if she was honest Greek mythology was a guilty pleasure of hers. Remembering all the times she and Diana would talk about it and here before her stood Hermes the messenger of the gods in all his glory and she knew for Diana this was a prominent figure who commanded respect as most olympians would on Themyscira. Hermes stepped toward the woman talking to Diana like she was his neice or something. These two caught the other three off guard and the lack of formality it almost seemed like a social call the way they talked. However the once playful expression on the Olympian's face turned to a stern look as he made a scroll appear and gave it to Diana. Hermes explained what was on the note. Diana was taken aback when her explained that it was from her mother Queen Hippolyta it seemed Hades was attempting to escape from the gates of tartarus, and that he had an ally from the human world, a sorcerer named Felix Faust who was fighting the Amazons on this end. The Amazons out matched fighting a two front war needed help, and the Amazons needed their champion to return home from her exile. Diana never thought she would ever set foot on Themyscira again, but her mother and her sisters needed her. At Diana's look of resolve and determination Hermes took that moment to bid Diana and the other woman good bye and disappeared out the balcony.
A few hours later Diana was dressed in her Wonder Woman armor intent on sneaking out while Ivy, Kate, and Kiara went out. Before Diana could leave the apartment the lights turned on " Did you really think we would let you go to themyscira without us ?" Diana turned around and saw Kiara, Ivy, and Kate dressed in their outfits " I thought you three went out?" Kiara chuckled " do you think that I am going to let my girlfriend go fight a sorcerer and the god of death and an army of demons at their back alone. Then you have another thing coming Diana, and what's worse you were prepared to sneak around to not involve us. You have a team now Diana to look after and help you so you don't have to do these things alone. You're going to need all the help you can get for this, and from what I remember your people don't like males coming to shore and it just so happens that you have a city full of female superheroes to ask for help." Diana looked at Kiara and had to admit she was a bit turned on by the determination in Kiara's face ready to go help her people fight a dangerous enemy willing to put her life on the line to do it. Diana nodded her head it would be helpful to have back up. Kiara looked to Diana and I know some others that will want to join this little expedition.
At kane Industries Leslie Willis was neck deep and close to committing suicide with all the reports. She was inwardly thinking to herself she would father get in a fight with supergirl then doing more of these reports. Leslie's phone started going and saw it was a message from Kate reading go time. Leslie smiled " its about time" she stood up from her desk and took of her blazer and grabbed her leather jacket from her office cabinet, and once ready disappeared in a flash into the office outfit. Elsewhere Kara and Lena were at Lena's apartment cuddling as they usually do watching sappy romances when Lena got a text from Diana. Lena looked to Kara and showed her the text about trouble on themyscira and to both of their surprises they wanted both Iron Maiden and Supergirl on this mission. Both women looked at each other and both nodded affirmatively. Kara went to her Closet and pulled her Supergirl outfit out. Lena walked towards her pad, and said " engage" In an instant mechanical arms began to move and start to attach the pieces of armor onto Lena till she was encased by the iron Maiden outfit. Kara stepped out dressed in her Supergirl outfit and both took off for the meeting point.
On the roof of Kane Industries Wonder Woman, Overgirl, Batwoman, And Poison Ivy waited on the roof. The all to familiar flickering of lights heralding the arrival of Livewire when a nearby light bulb exploded and a bolt of electricity and from it emerged Livewire. Leslie walked towards her compatriots to wait for the arrival of their other team mate. To be honest the team still did not know if Lena was in or out and this was a big test to see if Lena was really committed to the team, and they still had not come up with a name for the group. The group was interrupted by the arrival of Supergirl and Iron Maiden as they landed in front of the group. As Lena landed Livewire commented " your landing has improved" this earned an eye roll from Lena. Lena started to speak in the mechanized voice of Iron Maiden " what is this about?" Diana stepped forward " that's my story to tell. Earlier we were visited by the messenger of the gods telling us that themyscira is being attacked from the underworld and the land of mortals, and that the Amazons will fall if there is no intervention. With the laws of themyscira only woman can step foot on themyscira so everyone here is the best chance that my mother, sisters and themyscira have to save." Diana continued explaining to Livewire, Kara, and Lena the situation and the world implication if Hades stepped foot on the earth. That really all she needed to say to get Kara and Lena on board. Everyone was now agreed they would unite to save themyscira Batwoman hit a button on her belt and threw the clouds lowered her batplane.
The team was flying towards themyscira Supergirl, Iron Maiden, and Overgirl were flying. Batwoman was piloting the batplane with Ivy, Livewire, and Diana flying with her. Diana was nervous this was the first time in over a hundred years that she would set foot on themyscira. She did not know how she would be received by all the amazons or her mother being that they did not leave on the best of terms. Diana turned to see Overgirl flying beside the plane, and thought what the reaction would be to her being in a serious relationship to Kiara. It was always her mother's intention for Diana to marry the strongest amazon and for her to ascend to the throne of the amazons. All these questions were swimming in Diana's mind. Diana continued to ponder all the different scenarios, but she was suddenly broken out of her revelry by Kate " oh my god" Diana turned to the front in the distance you can see themyscira burning. Diana was petrified the once pristine island was ablaze. Ruins stretched out across the island. Diana could see some of her fallen sisters laid everywhere arranging her. The group flew over a hill and saw a battle going on with the amazons fighting groups of demons on both sides, and losing the fight. Diana was seeing red seeing her amazon sister falling to the demon hordes, and the team jumped into action.
On the ground Queen Hippolyta was leading the amazons in a futile battle against Hades armies to the east coming from the gates, and Faust's armies coming from the west. They had taken heavy losses and were getting pushed back, and if they fell the hordes of tartarus would invade and conquer the earth. A demon attacked Hippolyta catching her off guard disarming her. Hippolyta scrambled to reach her sword as the demon was going to shoot a ball of fire at her. Hippolyta was prepared for the end but as she waited the blast never came till she opened her eyes and saw the demon standing before her but noticed a sword protruding from the demon's throat. The sword was pulled from the demon causing the lifeless form to fall to the ground. Hippolyta lay in shock standing before her was a sight that she never thought she would see again. Standing before her was an enraged Diana ready to fight and to slaughter the demons. Diana took her battle stance and charged at the horde cutting down many before they even knew what happened. The rest of the team descended onto the battlefield. Lena flew over an advancing line of demons and deployed a stream of mines exploding as soon as they hit the ground leaving a trail of fire and smoke. Elsewhere trees and bushes start coming alive killing any demon they can get their roots on at Ivy's behest. Batwoman was chopping demons down, and using all her utility belt tools and weapons on the demons. Livewire was showing off her electrical mastery, and making use of a micro lithium battery generator Kate created for Livewire for times like this where they are in a location without electricity or power incinerating rows of the hordes. Supergirl and Overgirl were in a brutal competition to see who the stronger of the two was using their heat rays, ice breath, fists, feet it made no difference to them. The battle quickly turned in the amazons favor and soon enough the demons were on the retreat and the amazons pushed them back. After the battle was one the amazons surrounded their saviors. Some in a mix of gratitude others in a mix of content and uncertainty. Diana expected this kind of mixed reaction from her sisters but then she noticed her mother walking towards her. As her mother stood before her Diana kneeled before her " mother i am sorry i know i have been exiled but i was informed of the struggle and i could not let you or any other die at the hands of hades." As the rest of the group listens to Diana talk to her mother they start to get unnerved they have never seen Diana bow to anyone let alone having to explain any of her actions to anyone. Internally Kiara was boiling Diana just saved all of them from death and she still has to explain herself she did not care if Hippolyta was her mother or what any of these amazons thought considering she could wreck this group of amazons were they stood. Kiara had enough and motioned to move forward towards Diana and her mother but was held back by Kara " stop i know what your thinking but this needs to happen you don't know the situation from back then they need to work out their bad blood and this is not the time and the place to introduce yourself to your future mother and law." Kiara looked from Kara to Diana and her mother and nodded her head. She didn't like it but Kara had a point. It was not the right moment to be the protective girlfriend especially when she is the visitor not the home team.
Hippolyta allowed them to stay on the island as gratitude for helping win the fight today. The group was getting settled into their accommodations. Diana was with her mother still discussing this situation, and her role in the current struggle. Kiara was on the balcony overlooking the ocean when she heard the all to familiar footsteps of Kara " you still seething about earlier." Kara stepped next to Kiara " it was the wrong time to assert yourself. I mean what do you think Diana would say if you hurt her mother in when of your legendary fits of rage, and do you think the amazons would take kindly to their queen being hurt." Kiara turned to Kara menacingly " do you really think i care what these amazons have to say i can slaughter this whole island from the pathetic display i saw earlier. Furthermore why should i why should anu off us fight here the contempt some of the amazons showed Diana is disgusting without us here today this would have been over they owe us their lives and they treat Diana like this." This past year it was easy to forget Kiara was a dangerous super villain who ruled a whole earth and committed numerous atrocities. Its moments like this that really show that if it was not for Diana there was a pretty good chance Kiara becomes the DEO biggest enemy even more than Reign. Diana grounded Kiara and tamed that malicious evil presence in Kiara and made her better. Kara however does understand Kiara for all the power that they both have to not be able to protect the ones they love is a big middle finger from life. Kara remained resolute " you maybe able to slaughter this whole island i have no doubt i have seen what your capable off, but do you think Diana would ever forgive you for that murdering her whole culture and her mother." Kiara took a step towards Kara " the same mother who exiled her over a century ago for wanting to be more wanting to do more instead of hiding from the world like they had for centuries. The same amazons who stood idly by and let it happen to the greatest of their fighters the future of the amazons. Forgive me if I don't feel remotely sympathetic for any of them. " Kara knew there was nothing she could say to change Kiara's mood or change her mind so she decided to go join the others inside.
In the throne room of Queen Hippolyta Diana and her mother talked in private for the first time since her unexpected arrival, and the first time in over a century. Hippolyta stood in front of her throne " you had no right to come Diana you know the laws and you were exiled from Themyscira never to return to our shores." Diana for the first time stood up " mother do you think knowing that you were in danger or Themyscira was in danger i would not come. If it was not for me and my friends the forces of evil would have overwhelmed you and the others. The danger was so great that I needed to get a message from Hermes himself to inform me of the situation and not my own mother to proud to ask her daughter for help." Hippolyta stepped towards her daughter " you renounced us as soon as you decided to go help the world of man in their great war, and stole your armor from the palace. You choose to leave this path this life and the law is clear on this matter." Diana was now losing her temper " so you would rather let every amazon on this island die then ask for help. You would rather let the world be plunged into darkness because you were to proud to ask for help." Diana calmed down a little " mother i may have left Themyscira but this will always be my home, the amazons will always be my people and you will always be my mother. I don't regret leaving. I have seen so much and learned so much. I have helped so many people over the years as Wonder Woman, and most importantly I have met the love of my life mother. I hope that once this madness has subsided that the two of you can meet." Hippolyta was taken aback at Diana's comment or at the bashfulness shown by her daughter, but all the same Hippolyta calmed down as well. "she is one of your allies then" Diana looked at her mother " yes her name is Kiara and she is a fierce warrior i think you would approve of her." Diana smove to stand next to her mother " Mother you need are help to win this fight the amazons are dying fighting this two front war, and you don't have the reinforcements to win this fight because its not just Themyscira that's in danger it's the whole world, and if at the end you still wish for we to remain in exile i will respect your wishes, but maybe we can move forward from the past and start a new chapter." Hippolyta softened truth be told she did want her daughter back and maybe now was the time to mend their relationships.
Later Diana arrived in the villa they had set up shop in, and informed them that her mother had accepted their offer of help in the fight to come. Diana explained the situation to the group, but noticed that Kiara was nowhere to be found. The group adjourned and went to their separate quarters. Diana walked into her quarters and put her shield and sword down next to the bed. She noticed that Kiara had her Overgirl uniform hanging, and noticed that the balcony was open. So she walked to the balcony, and saw it empty till she heard a voice " it took you long enough to get back" Diana looked up and saw Kiara floating above the balcony in her night wear. Kiara floated down in front of Diana. Diana noticed the bad mood of her girlfriend and new something was wrong with her " Love whats wrong you have been upset since we won the fight, and you were not downstairs waiting with the others. So tell me whats on your mind that has you upset." Kiara knew she needed to tread carefully with this, and truth be told she really did not want to bring this up. Kiara turned to Diana " i don't like how they treated you earlier especially since they owe you their lives for turning the tide of the battle in their favor. They treated you horribly when they should be kneeling before you in respect and gratitude." Diana smiled she understood now why Kiara was like this, and goes to wrap her love in a hug from behind and placed her chin on Kiara's shoulder " Ich verstehe Liebe, aber du musst die Geschichte verstehen und wie die Dinge übrig bleiben. Ich hoffe, dass ich am Ende wieder aufbauen kann, was verloren gegangen ist, und dass Sie meine Mutter treffen konnten" One of the best things that happened in the past year was Diana became fluent in german so that they both could have conversations, and Kiara had to admit hearing Diana speak in her native german was one of the sexiest things in the world and a big turn on for her. Kiara turned around in Diana's arms " so you want to introduce me to the parents now i see i didn't know we were their yet" Kiara smiled as she lay her head under Diana's chin. Diana started to speak " i know you think you can always protect me, and you have always been there from that day you saved me from Reign whenever i needed you, but this is different. When i left with steve to help fight in the war many including my mother saw it as a betrayal. That it was to suit my own vanity or i just didn't care for the amazon lifestyle. Even with all that the decision of my exile was still a hard choice for my mother she did it to save face so that no one else would lose faith in the laws of themyscira. There was no easy decision for any one here, but what happened happened and is at this point ancient history. My mother seemed to want to move forward to which is a start, but we need to win this." Kiara understood and not another word needed to be said between the two. Kiara laid in the bed and Diana changed out of her wonder woman outfit and joined Kiara and laid her head on her shoulder while Kiara wrapped her up in her arms, and they both fell into a blissful sleep.
The following morning Livewire woke the most rested she has ever been. When she walked out to the main room of the villa she saw Kate and Lena up working on their equipment " god don't you two ever sleep or do you to sleep with our toys i am sure Kara and Ivy would mind that" Livewire started laughing Kate turned to the white haired woman " your just jealous you don't have someone to play with." that stopped Livewire in her tracks and it was the truth everyone else had someone special in their life except Leslie and that did bother Leslie some days everyone had the perfect significant other for them the perfect yin to their yang. It however was never the right time for her or the right person. Livewire took a seat "so Kara and Ivy aren't morning people i take it" Lena looked at her away from her suit " Kara has her moments." Kate then followed up " last time i had an alarm clock Ivy used the plants in the room to crush it into pieces." Livewire was curious what Lena was doing with the iron maiden suit " so Lena what you up to with Iron Maiden?" Lena looked at Livewire " if you must know i have been making modifications to merge Iron Maiden with the Iron Dynamo suit so both can merge when Iron Maiden is in the field." Livewire was intrigues " so you're giving yourself more firepower to kick ass" Lena nodded " well i would assume that the god of hell is going to have more powerful forces then what we saw yesterday so its better to be prepared for it and i get to test Iron Dynamo." Before they could continue with the conversation there was a loud explosion in the distance, and the distinctive sound of demon roars and shreeks. The three looked at each other knowing perfectly well what it was. Livewire spoke " dam the sun is barely up and these things already on the attack lets get everyone up and while they get ready we will go and get the fight started. Leslie and Kate went to get everyone up and Lena activated the Iron Maiden suit but activated the Iron Dynamo.
Livewire, Batwoman, Iron Maiden were on their way to the battle field. The others would be on their way shortly while they get ready. Leslie and Kate where on the batbike while Lena was in the air. The two saw something coming out of the sky looking at each other that must be the Dynamo this was going to be interesting. Kate and Leslie were the first where the first to arrive right as the battle lines were drawn. Batwoman and Livewire join the amazons front lines standing next to Hippolyta. The demons begin to charge but before they could take more then a few steps before a laser cut in front of them. Every turned " okay every stop now" standing before them was a massive metal juggernaut. Lena had to admit that the Iron Dynamo felt definitely different than the Iron Maiden. The demons begin their charge again Lena activates the wrist mounted micro gatling gun and starts to mow down row after row of demons before they good take a few steps. Batwoman and Livewire joined in using their long range attacks which then spurred the amazons to use their archers to cut down the demons with great effectiveness. Inevitably the large numbers of the horde started to break and thru there fire. One of the demons jumped at the Iron Dynamo but Lena caught the demon with ease and smashed the head during the ground popping it like a pimple. Lena then activates the shoulder mounted missiles launching some two dozen missiles unleashing a barrage of explosions and fire killing dozens of the demons. The battle was going far better and it looked almost won because of the awesome power of the Iron Dynamo. It was at this point that the cavalry when Overgirl, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, and Poison Ivy arrived. The battle did not last long after that, and for the first time since the conflict had started the Amazons had no casualties which was brought on by a cheer.
As the Amazons celebrate a profoundly good day on the battlefield. The spirits where up many still were not happy with the help of Diana or the group but many now welcomed them with open arms because now it looked like they could win this fight. Diana was nervous she wanted to take this opportunity to introduce Kiara to her mother, and she knew Kiara was not a big fan of her mother. Diana also knew that Kiara would not be so formal with her mother like the others. Kiara was still pompous and arrogant and will not bow to anyone, not even Diana. Diana knew that her mother will more then likely pay no attention to this but other amazons especially those who did not like their involvement would not take kindly. Diana and Kiara walked toward her mothers throne. The two stood in front of Hippolyta and Diana kneeled "mother i want to present to you Kiara Wagner the woman i am in love with" Hippolyta raised an eyebrow at Kiara not bowing but paid it little attention. Her guards however did take exception that you disrespect the Queen " why do you not bow to the queen foreigner?" Kiara looked to the guards unamused, " I bow to no man or woman, and I would like to see you try and make me." this did not go over well with the amazon and before anyone could say anything she drew her weapon and struck at Kiara who caught the sword with her bare hand and broke it in two pieces shocking the amazon " is that the best you can do" the amazon coward in fear and shock at the show of strength. Hippolyta stopped the situation before it could go any further. " i see why Diana likes you" Kiara turned to the queen, " your strong, rebellious much like she was when she was younger, and from what I have seen on the battlefield an outstanding warrior. Diana has chosen wisely i think." Kiara smirked at the queen's words. I guess she made a good first impression after all. The celebration went on late into the evening with the girls getting to know many of the amazons and many in Queen Hippolyta's inner circle of generals and advisors. Suddenly the fire started to go crazy dancing around violently when a figures started to walk out of the flames. It was a tall regal man with long raven black hair garbed with dark iron armor from his shoulders down. Hipployta stood from her throne " Hades you are not welcome here." Lena, Kate, Ivy, Kara, Livewire, and Kiara looked on having heard the name so much these past few days and now here he stands in front of them. Hades smirked " Hippolyta why continue this farce you know you can't win darkness will cover this world, blood shall fill the oceans, and Themyscira will burn." Hades laughed maniacally. He looked and saw Diana " Ah Diana the prodigal daughter has returned. Tell me niece did Hippolyta get on her knees and beg you to return because her amazons were not good enough to fight my demon hordes." Diana was enraged by Hades worlds, but before she could do anything Hades laughed once more and disappeared in another explosion of fire.
Hades's interruption killed the mood of the celebration, but it also signaled that the worst was yet to come. Diana went with her mother to discuss something important in Hippolyta's chambers. Diana entered her mothers room and noticed the grave look on the queen's face. Hipployta stepped towards her daughter " Diana i need to tell you something of the strictest importance about your upbringing and lineage." this confused Diana because her mother and her had never discussed this before she new that she had a special upbringing. Diana looked to her mother " Diana there have been things that you have never been told about your birth. What is known to you is that you were a gift from the gods, but there is more to it then that. When i prayed for the gods to bestow upon me a daughter one god answered the prayer." Diana looked at her mother intently " who answered your prayer mother why does it make a difference." Hippolyta looked at her daughter "it makes a difference because the one who answered them was Zeus himself Diana. Zeus the god of gods the mighty king of olympus is your father." Diana was shocked to say the least, the mighty Zeus was the one who brought her to life was the one who was technically her father. When Diana thought about it it did make sense why she was more powerful than the other Amazons. Why she could fight against stronger fighters and push herself more than most. She had the power of Zeus coursing through her veins. Hippolyta continued " you retained a small portion of Zeus's powers though you were never able to tap into its full potential. A number of years ago however Zeus visited me one night asking about you. He was curious if you had developed your powers and was mildly displeased that your powers had not manifested, but Zeus told me that if you ever wanted to grow your powers and explore your potential he commanded Hephaestus to create a weapon specific for you to help you control and manifest your hidden powers. A weapon akin to Zeus' thunderbolt, Poseidon's trident, or Hades Pitchfork. The hammer of Triam a weapon that only you can wield. Zeus however did put a stipulation: you need to seek the hammer to prove your worth and you want to unlock these powers and wield this weapon." Hippolyta paused for a minute " i fear that this weapon might be the only thing that can truly defeat Hades. However i will not force you, this is your decision to make if you want to explore it." Diana was stunned by all this new information about her lineage powers. She did not know she had a weapon that had mythic powers able to defeat an enemy like Hades. Diana also knew that countless more amazons would perish if she didn't and that made the decision that much easier. " Mother tell me what I need to acquire this weapon."
Diana walked into their villa and saw the group waiting for her. Kiara asked what her mother wanted to tell her. Diana told the group the story her mother told her, and there was shock Diana was the daughter of Zeus of all things. She was seven stronger then they had thought and had hidden powers they did not know about. The concern was getting the hammer, and the journey to Hephaestus. Diana had decided to go and it was agreed that Overgirl and Ivy would go with Diana while the rest held down the fort with the Amazons
