A.N. — Now here is the husband's perspective of his spouse's ordeal. There's a nod to Hogwarts Mystery in here, because it was a nice little tidbit of backstory. I found it sad that, in both Cattermole drabbles, I could only obliquely refer to the Polyjuiced people.
247. Reginald Cattermole
The previous hardest task Reg had to deal with in the Magical Maintenance Department was fixing a window enchanted to show only a hurricane — and he'd had help solving that problem. That in no way prepared him for his employer putting his wife Mary through an interrogation.
He was a nervous wreck the morning of the trial, and eventually that led to him puking after running into Mafalda Hopkirk. He desperately wanted to get to work so he could support Mary, but realized he'd be no use to her in this state. Heeding Hopkirk's advice, he apparated to St. Mungo's.
