The Quest for Triam
Since Diana, Kiara, and Ivy went it had been quiet on Themyscira. There had been no major moves by the enemy at all and Hades had not shown himself since that night. The concern that many had thought was of Hades ally Felix Faust. For a majority of the war Faust had remained away from the fighting leaving that more to Hades to deal with. Faust's absence concerned the Queen, Lena, Kate, and Kara because while they were focused on fighting Hades forces no one knew what Faust was cooking up or what the secret plan was between Faust and Hades planning a killing blow assault. From what the Amazons knew Faust was taking refuge in a temple on the other side of the island deep behind the enemy line too deep for the Amazons to get anyone near without risking lives they needed to fight. True that the Amazons would not be able to reach the temple without taking losses or losing the element of surprise for Kate being a master of stealth and infiltration it would not be too difficult to get there and do some reconnaissance. The team agreed that Kate would go, but Lena volunteered to go back using the stealth modification on the iron maiden suit for just such a situation. The group agreed that sending back up would be a safer proposition for Kate even though the Batwoman insisted that she did not need any help or back up because they would not even know she was there. Kate relented and agreed telling Lena they would leave at the dead of night. Kate did have to admit that it would be good to see if her old school tactics would outmatch Lena's technology.
Elsewhere Diana, Kiara, and Ivy where in route to the island of Knossos a sacred island that doubled as a secret home away from home for the god Hephaestus, and it is rumored that it is here where Hephaestus created some of his most powerful creations like Zeus's thunderbolt or Poseidon's Trident, and it is believed that the Hammer of Triam will be there on the island. Diana had heard of Knossos and the many dangers that reside their Hephaestus was a paranoid god who wanted no one man or god to step foot on the island to use his forge or steal any of the legendary weapons on the island since many of the plans for man of the weapons resided their and if they fell into the wrong hands it could be a catastrophic proposition. Kiara and Pamela knew this was not going to be as easy as just going to this island and getting the weapon, but they did not know how dangerous I would be. Diana turned to both women " so i know your both must be curious about Knossos. So I will not keep you both in the dark. It is said that Hephaestus left many perilous challenges to stop any unwanted prisoners from mythical beasts to deadly traps of Hephaestus' own design. Many have tried to steal the island's secrets but none have returned to tell the tale. Kiara and Pamela both nodded their affirmation, but it was not going to deter them from their goal, and if they had to kick the door down they would do so. The three women looked on and saw the volcanic island come into view ready for what lays ahead.
Back on Themyscira, Batwoman and Iron Maiden had set out on their mission to infiltrate Felix Faust's base of operations. Lena was flying overhead and shocked at the speed at which Batwoman was moving on the ground. She was seeing first hand why Kate was the master of stealth. It almost looked like Kate was one with the shadows, and if it was not for Lena's sensors she would have lost Kate by this point due to her speed. As the two progress through the dense forest of Themyscira they start to see an increased presence of demons different to those of Hades, but still just as ugly indicating that they are getting closer to their goal. A few minutes later Lena and Kate arrive on the outskirts of the temple hiding in some nearby bushes assessing how they were going to infiltrate the temple with the least amount of resistance. They both decided that coming in from the air would be a better option as Lena was talking however Kate silenced her and did not say a word almost like the shadows were whispering to her, and out of nowhere grabbed a batarang and threw it into the shadows hitting something. When Lena and Kate went to examine the target it was one of Faust demons. Lena turned too Kate. How did you know? Kate turned to her "experience " and walked back to their previous position so they could make their move.
On Knossos Diana, Kiara, and Ivy disembarked their vessel and walked on the beach all three on guard not knowing if anything would be waiting for them. Kiara took to the air to scope out the perimeter for them to see if there were any surprises waiting for them. After a few minutes Kiara returned to the other woman indicating that the coast was clear for now. The three began their march toward the volcano which was rumored to be the location of Hephaestus's forge. The group was walking for about an hour at this point, but the forest started to get thicker and thicker, and it became more difficult to see their surroundings and less space to maneuver. There was an unease growing between the woman because this was thus far much too easy in comparison. The group reached a clearing and decided to rest for a minute because of the roughness of the terrain even Diana and Kiara were having a tough time with the terrain, but considering this whole defensive strategy was geared to repel gods as well its no surprise that the demigod and Kryptonian would also struggle like everyone else. After a few minutes of resting Kiara's head snapped up hearing something in the distance coming their way. Ivy and Diana took up battle positions, and Diana turned to Kiara `` do you know what's coming?" Kiara turned to her " No all i know is that it is something big and fast." Before Kiara could utter another word a big wolf-like creature crashed through the trees swatting Kiara out of the air. Diana panicked when the creature was trying to eat her girlfriend. To Diana's relief Kiara got out from under the creature, but before Diana and Ivy could go to help her fight the giant beast more trouble showed up. A chimera showed up and sent a fire blast toward them causing both Ivy and Diana to dive out of the path of the blast. Diana drew her sword and began to move toward the Chimera. Ivy for the moment was a little relieved that her two group mates were fighting the creature, but Ivy was not that lucky and felt the ground rumbling heralding the arrival of something larger than the wolf and the Chimera. Ivy turned around to see trees falling and in their place stood a trio of giant cyclops. Ivy looked to the sky " thank you god for that sick sense of humor you have" Ivy was broken out of her revelry to dodge the attack of the first cyclops doing her best to evade and dodge hoping her stronger team mates would come to her aide but that was out of the question as both of them were having a hard time fighting their creatures. Diana could not get anywhere near the Chimera having to play defensive holding of the twin flame bursts with her shield. Kiara was doing her best to wear down the giant wolf but it seems that none of her shots had any effect on it. Ivy however had it worse because unlike her teammates she was not geared for a fight like this much less three on one. Ivy needed to come up with something because she could not avoid them forever, and one hit it could be over for her. She needed to use her intelligence to survive this fight. The terrain was favorable for her being a forest surrounding them. Well she was about to get a good sense of exactly how strong she is, and how deep her control of the surrounding plants could go. Ivy tripped on a loose root fear taking hold of her as she saw the giant foreboding figure of the cyclops. It was now or never for this as the cyclops raised his foot to squash Ivy causing Ivy to close her eyes. However the next thing Ivy new she heard one of the cyclops roar in what sounded like and then a massive ground shaking thud which caused her to open her eyes to see one of the cyclops on its back and looked up to see that it was one of the tall trees that saved her by hitting the cyclops in the face. Ivy looked on in shock. She had never controlled something that big before, but this revelation has given the idea and the chance to win. Ivy then started to control the forest and had two other of the big trees come to life and grab hold of the other two cyclops. Ivy then summoned another two trees and had them start to rough up the two remaining cyclops beating them to a pulp. After both cyclops had enough Ivy had the trees release them and them both fell in heaps. Ivy had a triumphant smile on her face because she was able to deal with three giants while Wonder Woman and Overgirl were still struggling in their respective fights so it was time for Ivy to even the odds. Diana was using her shield to deflect a flame burst from the Chimera when the flames suddenly stopped which caused Diana to peek up above the shield to see the Chimera was being enveloped in the roots of the surrounding plants that had muzzled the Chimera. Diana did not waste any time and used this window of opportunity to strike using her sword to two decapitate both the heads of the Chimera, killing the beast. Kiara was still struggling with the wolf running out of ideas on how to deal with the large creature the wolf lunged for Kiara but before it could connect the wolf was swatted from the air and sent flying rendering the wolf unconscious. Kiara looked at the large tree then to Ivy. Both Diana and Kiara approached the cocky looking Ivy who made a snarky comment " I expected more from a demigod and a kryptonian." The comment caused the two to roll their eyes and they continued towards the volcano.
On Themyscira Lena and Kate had infiltrated Faust temple and were trying to find the sorcerer to see if they could find anything pertinent. The two women walked into a large room that had what looked like a massive map of themyscira on it. Kate reasoned that this was Faust's war room. Before the woman could jump to the floor they heard the door open and two men walked in one of them Lena and Kate recognized immediately as Hades towards the table discussing their plans for what they chilling called the final assault to hit the amazons on all sides surrounding them and then routing them. Hippolyta was right. Faust had been preparing for the battle while Hades weakened the Amazons and their forces. Lena and Kate listened Faust detail the assault to Hades how initially Hades forces launch an all out assault on the amazons from the front with half of Faust's forces in support, but the true trick of the plan is that while the fighting was happening on land Faust will send the rest of his forces around behind the amazon lines. Faust planned to use a spell to enable his demons to walk and breathe under water so they could walk from one side of the island underwater to the other side and hit the amazons on the beach, outflanking them and surely defeating them. Even more worrying is that the plan was to be carried out the day after tomorrow. Lena looked to Kate Hippolyta and her forces were not ready for an attack like was interrupted by the yelling of a female voice causing Kate and Lena to look at the wall. On the wall of the chamber was an ornate mirror displayed. However to the shock of both women residing within the mirror was a beautiful purple haired woman who was the source of the yelling in the room. Faust and Hades paid little attention to the purple haired woman who was a prisoner of the sorcerer. Kate had an idea so she turned to Lena " we have to warn the amazons, but i have a feeling that the birdie on the wall may have information that we may need so we need to try and get that mirror." Lena and Kate began to make their way out when Lena accidently hit a statue as she turned around, knocking it over and breaking it, alerting everyone to their presence, and ruining Kate's plan of a stealthy way to steal the mirror . Almost immediately demons were attacking them from below forcing the two into action. Lena took to the air in Iron Maiden using her unibeams to take down demon after demon while Kate made her way for the mirror. Kate used her speed to avoid the flame burst from the demons till she finally reached the mirror and swiftly took it from the wall. Kate reached the roof of the temple but was again under heavy siege by the horde of demons. Kate was getting overwhelmed by the demons when Lena blew a whole in the roof of the temple right under the demons and roose threw the hole, and quickly flew in and scoped Kate up and flew away as fast as possible. As the two flew away in the distance on the roof of the temple Hades and Faust looked on at the retreating figures in the distance. Hades turned to Faust to prepare your forces for the assault.
Back on the island of Knossos the morning sun was beginning to creep through the forest reaching the small camp where Diana, Ivy, and Overgirl had stayed the night. Ivy woke first and stretched out basking in the glow of the sun's rays hitting her skin. Ivy turned to her side and saw a few feet away Kiara laying back with Diana cuddled into her side. It still surprised Ivy at how lovey dovey these two actually were. However it did make her miss Kate a lot, and it made her sad not having her there with her, but Ivy knew that as soon as this mission was over she would see her bat soon enough. As the trio progressed on their journey they finally reached the foot of the volcano and saw ornate ruins which led to an opening that led into the bowels on the volcano. Diana turned to Ivy and Kiara kept their eyes open. Many have reached this point, but hephaestus has littered this pathway with several deadly traps. Ivy walked in the middle of the trio considering she was the one that had no protection or invulnerability. The trio got to a passageway with ancient greek writing lining the walls. Diana said it was a type of riddle as well as a warning to turn back, but it was also in a dialect that gods used more than anyone so it was unclear the full extent of what it said. From what Diana said it was something about the penitent man and the gods. Diana told the two to stand back not knowing what the danger was that lays before them. Ivy was playing back what Diana told them the wall said " the penitent man and the gods? Gods expect man to worship them, and the penitent are humble before the greatness of the gods." Ivy's eyes went wide as plates " the penitent man kneels before the gods, and the gods expect the man to kneel and worship them. OH MY GOD KNEEL! DIANA DUCK!" Diana heard what Ivy said and before she knew it a blade came at her giving her mere seconds to evade the first and then roll out of the way of the second one, and then used her sword to dismantle the apparatus stopping the blades from spinning. Ivy and Kiara ran to Diana to see if the Amazon was alright, and Kiara was relieved that Diana was not hurt. The trio walked further down the passage till they got to what looked like the next obstacle. Unlike the first one there was no writing on the wall. Ivy began to walk forward and took a few steps down the path, but was yanked back in a hurry by Kiara just in time to save Ivy from being impaled by a spear released from the wall. Diana and Ivy looked and Kiara " i heard the trigger go off when the spear was released" Kiara then stepped forward clear the best suited for the job, and stepped forward and every step she took various arrows started to fire and hit Kiara and broke on contact till she reached the other side of the path motioning for Ivy and Diana to walk across now that Kiara triggered all the spears to launch. The trio walked into a big chamber with massive giant statues on either side. As the trio stepped through the room to the other side the statues began to animate themselves and began to move to attack the trio causing the woman to spring into action . Ivy took cover the best she could, leaving the majority of the fighting to Diana and Kiara. The fight was not going their way considering they were outnumbered. Ivy just barely dodged a hammer throw from one of the statues and slid to the wall. Diana and Kiara were overpowered at this point Ivy looked down and saw their salvation sticking out from the bottom of the wall was a little sapling. Ivy then had a sinister smirk on her face and the sapling started to shake and grow. Ivy used the plant to begin wrapping the statues and using the strength to crush them, defeating all eight of the statues again showing her prowess. After Ivy's kick ass moment the three entered a giant chamber at the center of the volcano, but to the shock of all three the forge was off something that should not be happening. The three women are startled by a figure with a booming voice causing the three of them to turn around. From the shadow came a tall, gruff, muscular figure that Diana immediately recognized as Hephaestus. Diana kneeled down in front of the god. Hephaestus. Hephaestus, not being one for formality, told the amazon to rise " i never thought i would see the day that anyone would make it to my forge, and i also did not expect the daughter of Zeus to come. Diana stood up standing in front of the god " Hephaestus we have come here to beseech you for your help" Hepheatus looked at the three woman " i know why you have come daughter of Zeus, and i can not help you." The trio looked at the god " My mother said that Zeus left a design for a weapon to make me realize my true potential, and unlock my true potential." before Diana could continue Hephaestus raised his hand to stop Diana " Yes Zeus left me with the design of a weapon he designed for you alone however Hades knew this. Hades anticipated this would be a possibility and left nothing to chance and attack damaging my forge. He has cut off the flame that powers the forge by destroying the mechanism. Without that mechanism the forge can not melt the metal needed to create the weapon." Diana could not believe that the last best chance that they had to find a weapon to defeat Hades and Faust was now in jeopardy. Ivy, Kiara, and Diana were talking about what to do. This was their best chance to find a way to end the conflict on Themyscira. It was late Kiara and Ivy had fallen asleep, but Diana was not able to sleep. Her people needed her whatever the cost, and she was willing to try something. Diana knew that Kiara would try to stop her from doing this, But it was something Diana needed to do. Diana went in search of Hephaestus. Diana found Hephaestus in a great hall were many of the weapons Hephaestus has designed over the millenia were held, and approached the god " You said Hades damaged the mechanism used to power the forge? What if someone can hold the gate open long enough to melt the metal and form the weapon?" Hepheastus looked at the Amazon " thats suicide no one can survive the direct contact with the flames of tartarus." Diana stepped towards him" for my people i will do anything Hades can't be allowed to to spread his evil across the world. So i will ask you again if I hold the portal open, can it work?" Hepheastus gave the Amazon a knowing look " yes it is possible but if this fails and the hammer does not form to be able to heal your injuries there is a high likelihood that you will perish." Diana knew the risks, but she knew that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Her people needed her and the earth needed her so she had to take the risk. She looked to Hephaestus and nodded affirmatively. Diana positioned herself in front of the portal and hephaestus positioned himself next to the forge full of Nth metal. Hepheastus signaled to Diana that he was ready to proceed, and Diana took a deep breath before proceeding and grabbed the levers on either side and as soon as the portal opened Diana was hit with a pain the likes of which she has never flames licked at her skin peeling Diana's back like an over. The flames in the forge started to melt the metal. Diana could contain the urge to scream from the pain, and let out a bone chilling yell of pain. Diana's scream rang throw the lair, and woke Kiara. Kiara looked around for Diana and did not see her anywhere, and she woke Ivy. Both of them ran to the forge and saw that Diana was holding the portal open getting hit directly by the flames Kiara rushed over but was stopped by Ivy " What are you doing i have to save Diana." Ivy responded quickly " you have to wait, she is keeping the portal open don't you see she is allowing Hephaestus to melt the metal so we can forge the hammer." Diana was starting to get weak, and started to lose consciousness from the pain. Hepheastus was looking inside at the melting metal, and as the final bar melted and the metal started to bubble Hepheastus started to pour the hot liquid into the form. Diana started to collapse from the pain and exhaustion and released the hold on the portal and it closed. Kiara used her super speed to catch a now unconscious diana, and started to listen to her heart slowing. Kiara was screaming for Ivy Hepheastus rushed to them, and saw the state of Diana " she needs the hammer to activate her powers so she can heal. Help me form the hammer." Hepheastus rushed back and broke the mold open revealing the two pieces on the hammer. Hepheastus was looking for the handle when Ivy used her powers on a plant that Hepheastus had in his lair and the branches began to grow and twist, grabbing both sides of the hammer and bringing them together forming the hammer. Hephaestus pulled both women away from Diana and the Hammer. Kiara was struggling with his grip till Hepheastus silenced her and told her to pay attention. The hammer started to lift, and moved towards Diana into her hand starting to heal Diana's injuries
On Themyscira the Amazons were lined up on the battlefield Livewire, Supergirl, Iron Maiden, and Batwoman joining them. Since Batwoman and Lena returned the Amazons had made both flanks ready to fight Hades and Faust's armies, but their numbers were running thin and they were going to be up against strong odds. A few hours later as the midday sun was upon them the armies of hades reared their ugly heads. Almost in synch Faust's armies walked onto the beaches with the Amazons waiting for them. Everyone knew this was the battle to decide the fate of the world, and now was time to see who is left standing. The hell demons began to charge at the amazons, and Kara led the charge for the Amazons. The battle was on in full force on both fronts. The Amazons were putting up a valiant fight, but slowly Hades and Faust respective armies were making gains pushing the Amazons back. Lena had the iron Dynamo and Batwoman using every single offensive armament at their disposal. Kara and Livewire were taking out as many of the demons with electric attacks and Kara's heat ray respectively. The numbers were too great and soon they were getting overwhelmed Kara was blindsided, and was being tossed around like a rag doll. Lena was getting blitzed by the demons, and they had her pinned to the visual display was lighting up like a christmas tree with damage markers on there. Then the sky started to change and clouds started to run over stopping the battle forcing everyone to look at the sky. Out of nowhere a stream of light crashed down between the two armies. Before anyone knew anything from out of the stream of light a weapon came out and started to mow down the demons caught in its path and came full circle back to the light as a hand reached out for it catching it. As the stream of light subsided stood Overgirl, Poison Ivy, and Diana clad in new armor and a battle hammer in hand. The Amazons began to cheer at the sight in front of them of their champion. Hades gazed upon Diana clearly unnerved by the sight in front of him Diana had managed to find a way to create Triam despite Hades best efforts. Hades did not care he would press on knowing that the Amazons were about to break. Diana stood on the battlefield with Ivy and Kiara to her sides, and then looked at the charging hordes. Diana began to charge at the charging demons as pure power sourced through her, and leaped into the air in a rush of electricity and with one swing a Triam manifested a bolt of lighting from the sky and struck the ground vaporizing the demons near it creating a blast pushing the remaining demons back. The display of power took everyone by surprise, the powerful amazon princess exhibiting even more power. The amazons took this moment to charge back now that Diana has stunned the enemy pushing them back. The battle was starting to shift now that Diana was on the field, and with the combined power of Iron Dynamo, Kiara, Kara, Batwoman, and Ivy the demons began to get overwhelmed. Hades was furious that his demons were losing this fight, and even more that Faust's armies had not broken in from the rear. Hades knew that if he wanted things done it would have to be him to dispatch with the meddlesome amazons. Hades transformed into his true demonic form and descended onto the battlefield slaying every Amazon in his path. Hades used his fire breath and burned countless amazons relishing in the sound of their terror and agony as they burned. Diana was dispatching with wave after wave of demon with one single swing of Triam. It was true what Hippolyta had said this was a power Diana had never known even on her strongest day Diana could never take this many enemies on at once. Diana was broken from her revelry when she heard screams from the battlefield and turned to see many of her sisters burning.
She saw the culprit, a monstrous creature covered in black, with fangs and claws so sharp that they could cut through metal with a single swipe, a blood red tongue sticking out of the mouth, penetrating red eyes the color of freshly shed blood, covered in heavy armor. Diana knew this monster had to be Hades himself, and she saw her moment to strike Hades and end this battle before more of her sisters died, and threw triam at the god. Hades was focused on slaying the pathetic amazons that stood in his way when he was blind sided and sent flying. When he composed himself he saw the source of the strike as Triam returned to Diana's hand. Hades let out a bone chilling roar and stood up staring at Diana sizing her up like a predator ready to pounce on its prey. Hades began his charge and Diana matched him pace for pace. The two crashed together throwing strike after strike at each other and the other dodging each strike as they came. They were equally matched; it was clear that on physical strength this fight could not be decided. Hades fired a stream of fire at Diana, and Diana charged Triam and fired back with a stream of lightning with both attacks meeting. The struggle for dominance was real; neither Hades or DIana gave an inch. The amazons had pushed back Hades and Faust's forces Kiara and the others rallied around Hippolyta Kiara looked around " where is Diana?'' Everyone was looking around till Lena pointed to Diana fighting Hades. Hades was gaining the upper on Diana because the Amazon still did not have mastery of her power. However right behind Diana a red beam of light joined her lightning attack. Diana turned to see that it was Kiara using her heat ray, and was followed by Kara using her own heat ray, Lena using her unabeams, and Leslie using her own electric attack all converging meeting Hades flame burst overwhelming the gods attack, and the combine attack hit Hades with extreme prejudice. The god was thrown several feet, but before Hades could recover Diana hit him with a bolt of lightning throwing him even further back. Hades fired another burst of flames but Diana threw Triam right down the middle dispatching Hades flame burst striking the god in the chest piercing his armor and puncturing his chest leaving him immobilized. For the first time the god of the underworld was left helpless Triam protruding from his chest losing blood and strength at the same time. Hades was down to one knee growing weaker and weaker. He managed to lift his head to see the advancing form of Diana. Diana reached for Triam and pushed the blade further in causing the god of the underworld to release a deep baritone yell of pain and agony. Hades had never felt a pain like this ever. For once the god of the underworld was in fear of his end. He struggled to look at Diana listening to the amazon as she spoke " i give you an option Hades you end this conflict and pull your demons back to the underworld promising never to return to this world or i take your head. The decision is yours." Hades knew his time was up and being the survivor he took his opportunity for escape and disappeared in a cloud of pitch black smoke leaving behind only Triam. Hades forces started to retreat back to the gates of tartarus. However the fight was still not over as the armies of Felix Faust still prolonged the conflict, but now fighting a two front war the chance of the sorcerer's armies winning were little. Now all that was left was to purge the island of its enemies.
Faust's armies were being pushed back towards his base of operations, but Faust's arrogance believing that he could win without Hades was proving to be a grand error in judgement, but his options were now limited with Amazons circling around them. Diana and the other stood in front of the gates of the temple where Faust had created a bearer stopping conventional attacks from going through. Diana stepped forward charging the hammer wanting to see just how powerful her new weapon was. With one swing DIana unleashed a powerful bolt of lightning that crashed with the bearer breaking it instantly and destroying the door behind it leaving the temple now wide open to a ground assault. The Amazons made quick work of the remains of Faust's beleaguered army. Diana and the others walked the halls of the temple to the main room looking at the countless demons laid to waste by the Amazons. They arrived at their destination to see Faust kneeling surrounded by Amazons to either side of him and two of them with blades drawn held a top of Faust's neck. Diana and the others stepped in front of the fallen enemy who looked up at them " its over Faust's the armies of both you and Hades have been defeated it time for you to join your master, and leave Themyscira forever. Faust petrified looking at Diana wielding the legendary weapon that he heard Hades speak of with fear now knowing why he feared this weapon. Diana gave Faust the same offer to return to the underworld or death. Faust quickly chose to return to the underworld, but Diana had the Amazons escort Faust back to Hippolyta's castle. Faust did not know why Diana had the Amazons bring him here until he was brought into the throne room. On the wall was an object all too familiar to him the mirror that contained Tala inside. Diana and the others walked behind Faust this time however Kate had spoken up " how do we get her out of the mirror Felix we know there is an incantation from a dead language that only a sorcerer like you would know. Which means you are the only one that knows it so tell us." Faust looked at them with a little defiance " you want to waste your time and breath to save a no buddy. She is just a low level sorcerer who thought she could play with the big boys nothing more." the defiance in Faust left completely when Diana charged Triam " that not what we asked you Faust what is the incantation or we are going to send you back to Tartarus as a spirit instead. Faust gulped nervously seeing the hammer glow, and nodded his head. Felix told them the incantation, and after Diana told the Amazons to take him to the gates of Tartarus so that they can send him away and seal the gates. The group stood around the mirror all hoping that this would work. Kate stepped forward and recited the incantation "sgàthan sgàthan air a 'bhalla cò am fear as bòidhche dhiubh uile" the group stood back not knowing what was going to happen. The edges of the mirror started to glow a bright purple and the mirror started to shake. The glass started to glow a bright white that blinded everyone's vision. After the glow subsided on the ground in front of the mirror laid the purple haired woman dressed in a dark blue dress. Kara and Livewire helped the weakened woman get to her feet. She was incredibly weak, and could barely stand on her own.
Tala was resting at Hippolyta's palace Kate, Lena, and Livewire stayed with her, and Diana, Kiara, Ivy, and Kara went to the gates of Tartarus to send Faust back. After they returned Diana went to talk to her mother in her chamber. Diana stood in front of the door justifiably nervous not knowing what her mother would say to her. Would she end her exile or would she still keep her exiled even after what happened these past few days for nothing. Diana opened the door and stepped inside and saw her mother. Diana stepped before the queen and kneeled before the queen. Hippolyta chuckled at her daughter " Diana after the days events we should all be kneeling before you." Diana looked at her mother and stood up " mother i would never ask any Amazon much less you to kneel before me no matter the circumstances or power you are the queen." Diana is always the dutiful warrior never exhibiting ego, and always thinking she is equal to the others. " Diana, your people owe you a debt that is immeasurable, words can not fully do it justice. You could have stayed away from this conflict but you and your friends came to help us to win, and this victory could not have been had if not for you and your friends. There has been much speculation over what I should do in regards to you and your exile. Are laws clear your past indiscretions can not be overlooked." Diana looked down knowing full well what her mother was saying, and she knew this was a possibility her mother was after all a traditionalist, and the laws were important, and she could show no impropriety to her were she would not to other Amazons. Diana nodded her understanding " I understand mother i will always be here for my people and for you in whatever conflict." Diana turned to leave the chamber but was stopped " daughter you did not let me finish." Diana stopped and looked at her mother again wondering what the queen still wanted to say " I realize that long ago the decision to exile you was not an easy one, and the world has changed so much since you have left, but that was over a century ago and tradition may not be the most prudent thing anymore. Maybe we need to think in a new light, and things need to change so the Amazons can be ready for more modern enemies, and we need someone to show them the way better than i or any of my generals can. We were hoping that you would help with this." Diana looked at her mother shocked " mother does this mean…" before Diana could finish Hippolyta nodded affirmably " yes Diana with the blessing of the gods i am ending your exile you can come and go from Themyscira as you please." Diana hugged her mother happy at the decision she missed Themyscira, and is happy she can join her people.
The girls had returned from their adventures on Themyscira after staying for another week on the island enjoying some time away from the rigors of their everyday lives. They brought Tala with them, and put the still recovering sorceress in a specialized medical room in the DEO so she can recover. The purple haired woman was in a sort of self induced coma recovering ehr strength being trapped by Faust for years in that mirror. No one knew much about this since none of them had any experience in the magical world so they figured it was best to let this play out naturally. Kara had gone back to being her ace reporter that she was, and actually went to go help Clark in Metropolis on a story that they were covering for Catco, and the Daily Planet respectively. At Kate's mansion Kate, Pamela, Leslie, Diana, Kiara, and Lena had assembled. They needed to know where everyone stood on this team. Kate, Ivy, and Leslie had off course never wavered in their commitment to wanting to form this team. Kiara was in favor, but never took a firm stance on it much having to do with her background never really joining a team never thinking she needed to give her powers. Lena and Diana were the ones that had voiced the most opposition to the team because of the conflicts that could arise,and Lena did not want to ever have a reason to have to choose between the team or Kara. However things have changed since they returned from Themyscira. Kate, Pamela, and Leslie still were on board with forming the team. Kiara now appreciated the idea of forming the team a lot more she could be herself, and she would be a fool to think that not creating would be better. Without the team the worldkillers would have won, or Hades would be walking the world. It was team arrow that defeated her and her armies over a year ago. Being part of this collective would be better than just being by herself even with her strength. The biggest shock was that Lena and Diana had changed their respect minds on the team. Diana sees that without the team Hades would have won the battle ,and conquered the world. the world needed something like this to keep it safe when the Justice league could not. Lena for her credit came to the decision not because of the examples and the moments that they came together to fight, but because Kara for the first time had given Lena the green light if she wanted to join the team. For the first time all six women were on board with the team. Of course it would not be official till they had a name for the group, something that would be memorable like the justice league. For the next few hours they struggled to find a name that personified them and that they could all agree on. Until Ivy finally had the break threw everyone was thinking modernistic, but maybe something old school was the answer. Diana of course had the greek mythology background and Pamela loved greek mythology as well, and nothing personified the strength of a female mythological creature other than the siren. Ivy proposed the name to the group, and to her surprise it was not met with the same contempt that some of the other names that had been mentioned. The team talked about it and they agreed that this was the name that represented them, and what they stood for as individuals. The next important thing is they needed a team leader to lead the group. What was obvious is that you had six women who had strong personalities that needed to be reigned in for this team to be successful. This however was an easy decision, and everyone looked to the person they all thought should be the team leader, and to no one's surprise the other five all looked to Diana. Diana was a little surprised by this unanimous decision however when she heard everyone's explanation Diana smiled and accepted flattered by her friends faith in her. The team in the distance heard sirens and Kate's crime system detected that there was bank robbery in progress with hostages. The six women looked to Diana for the first time as their team leader. Diana looked at the other five women and for the first time uttered the words " Sirens assemble" the six woman readied themselves and headed for the disturbance for the first time as the team was not a group of individuals.
