A.N. — I've touched on this character before, in relation to my frustration with the site's character tags. He's there when I edit the story settings, but not when I search by character under the Harry Potter section. He's mentioned in the books more than Pansy, Fawkes, and all the Founders bar Slytherin. He also starts off my third straight pair.
250. Bob Ogden
His career in Magical Law Enforcement had prepared Bob for many things. A family of half-crazed, inbred bigots was not one of them.
The Gaunt shack was a far cry from their supposed Slytherin bloodline, but the Parseltongue hissed at him while held at knifepoint lent credence to the claims. The open use of dark magic and mistreatment of the girl was making Bob's job easier, evidence-wise, but the obstinance shown by the males was a hindrance.
At an impasse, Bob left, dodging hexes and shaking his head. The Gaunts derided supposed mudbloods, not realizing they truly embodied the term.
