AN: This is a whole ass rollercoaster. You have been warned.

Rin. Perhaps it was the reincarnation of her, this little girl. Kagome's heart skips a bit at the thought of finding her as the sounds downstairs become silent. Everyone had gone in for the night it seems, but the green and blonde heads outside her window caught her attention. Kagome rushes outside, tempted to jump from her window, but uses the elevator instead. Kagome could feel them getting further away, the tension high and unsettling. She catches up to them quietly, not daring to announce her presence.

They were heading straight to Ground Beta, confusing Kagome. The only thing she could think of would be that fight they had… that she threw herself in the middle of. She takes a deep breath and tries to make out what they are saying. "... Somehow got into U.A. of all places." She barely makes out. So that's what this was about. Izuku's quirk he had gained from All Might. There's pain in Katsuki's voice despite him basically insulting Izuku. The green-haired male tries to answer a rhetorical question, only for Katsuki to snap at him. "Shut up and listen, you gutter trash!" Kagome's breath hitches, having to stop herself from interfering. "You got your quirk from All Might." Katsuki figured it out, it seems. Putting that much more of a rift between the pair. Kagome watches silently, her heart is sent to her stomach for the second time that night.

"You're going to fight me!" Katsuki exclaims. "Right here, right now!" Kagome moves closer, staying out of sight as the explosive blond attacks Izuku. There was a robot of sorts nearby and she didn't want to risk getting caught. "You read too much into every damn thing!" The closer she gets, the more her heart breaks as tears start forming in her eyes.

Why couldn't they go back? Why couldn't they be little again? Kagome lets her tears fall while Izuku begs for Katsuki to wait. She wanted them to fanboy over All Might again, to see them smile together. Katsuki hits his knee to Izuku's chin, pushing him back. The green male reaches back in time to dodge another attack and send Katsuki back with a kick of his own. Kagome wanted to scream at them to stop, to have them see the other side. It shouldn't be like this. Izuku tries to help him up, still worried about his friend but Katsuki smacks his hand away like he did so many years ago.

"Stop fucking worrying about me!" he screams as he pushes himself to his feet. "How?! How'd I end up chasing after you two?! A dweeb who was always playing catch-up?!" Katsuki couldn't look at him, frustration tears welling up in his eyes. "And someone I don't even fucking know any more!" Kagome holds back a sob, covering her mouth with her hands. Of all the things she's had to watch silently, this one hurts the most. "So why was it me…" Katsuki finally looks at Izuku, tears streaming down his cheeks as he voices his fears. "Why was it me who put an end to All Might?!" But it wasn't, Kagome realized. It was hers. If she hadn't tried to get the demon's attention, if she hadn't ran into Shippo, if she had just stayed quiet then maybe things would have been different. If she hadn't made the wish- Kagome shakes her head violently. That wish gave her everything, a new life, new friends; she couldn't just regret making the wish. "I've got no fucking idea what I'm supposed to do!" He attacks again after a moment, fighting to face the agony he was holding in.

The pair continue their battle, both giving their all. This time Kagome couldn't make out their words, the explosions overpowering them. She wasn't sure why it had to come to this, why they had to keep fighting each other like animals. "It's that damn attitude that pisses me off!" Katsuki yells out, showing more of what he's been keeping to himself. Izuku began his response, yet the words don't reach her. The fight goes on, each blow affecting her like she was the one hit. Kagome couldn't help but blame herself, feeling undeserving to even call herself their friend.

All Might was near, waiting in silence as they fought. But he was their idol, their mentor and she was nothing but a distraction. The Pro is come in once Katsuki announces his victory, having Izuku pinned beneath him. Kagome stays hidden, feeling as though she was a burden to them. They have All Might now, he could be their shoulder to cry on, he can be what they need to become heroes. Kagome moves further away from the three males, forcing herself to pull away and not run to them, to Katsuki. To apologize and tell him everything, but she can't. Not without being taken back inside with them. Kagome was caught in the middle of her heart and mind. She wanted to forget about her entanglement with the villains and run to Katsuki like she's always done.

Instead, Kagome turns her back to the three and runs before she has time to think. As fast as her feet can carry her, she rushes away like a coward. Her tears flow like waterfalls, staining her cheeks as her chest fills with guilt and regret. Her legs carry her to the warehouse, stopping once there to catch her breath and calm her emotions before meeting with a villain. Sinking to her knees, Kagome wipes her tears and feels around the area for Dabi.

Definitely inside, she concludes, and he was completely alone. Kagome stands up and wipes the dust off of her before entering. "Hey, Patchwork!" she calls, not caring if she upsets him. "I'm here!" If she's arguing with Dabi, she won't think about her fuck ups. Kagome heads directly to him, anger slowly replacing her fear and guilt as the male comes into view.

"As feisty as ever, aren't you Princess," he seethes as he stands straight from leaning against a wall, Tired, sore, and in need of a fix, Dabi just wanted her to start healing him. "You're late."

"Tch," Kagome rolls her eyes and crosses her arms as she glances over him to find what area needs the most attention. His neck and chest had gotten worse from just a few days, yet she didn't dare ask why.

"You should really buy someone dinner before undressing them with your eyes," he smirks at her. This was his only entertainment that didn't involve killing the scum that crosses him or strippers. The girl in front of him only seemed innocent at first glance, but he knows what she's hiding from everyone. What she's so desperately trying to keep to herself.

Kagome shakes her head and sighs. "Just shut up and let me see your chest." She pushes his jacket off his shoulders and tugs up at the hem of his shirt. The blunt forwardness from her takes him partly off guard. She was acting differently from all the other times he's see and interacted with her. Dabi pulls his shirt over his head and tosses it on top of his jacket before sitting down and relaxing against the wall. Kagome focuses on her work instantly, not wanting Dabi to see the tears still drying in her eyes. She was unsteady in her actions, using more energy than needed to get it done faster.

Dabi inhales sharply as he closes his eyes. His veins felt like they were on fire but ice-cold while his chest tenses under her touch. He didn't want to question her, didn't want to correct her use of her quirk as it made him feel powerful. "Are you alright?" she asks, stopping her actions. Kagome realized her mistake, remembering Inasa's words from earlier in the day. "Is your healing a quirk enhancer?" "Maybe I should sto-"

"No." He cuts her off without opening his eyes. "I didn't say you were anywhere near done, Kagome." She shivers, not liking the tone his voice had now. It made her feel small and hot. His body temperature was higher than normal and her fingers were almost burning from it. She knew she has no control of this situation. Kagome silently gets back to her work, biting her lip in frustration.

Her silence struck him as odd, usually getting something snarky in response. Dabi opens his eyes, curiosity getting the better of him as he studies her face. It was a given that she was tired, but he didn't expect the dried tears on her cheeks. He couldn't see her eyes thanks to her hair being in the way but she was an emotional wreck from the looks of it. The deep frown and occasional sniffles were a dead giveaway that she had been crying on the way here. Dabi grabs her hands with a gentleness that surprised even him, causing the girl to snap her attention to his face.

"But you said not to stop." Kagome looks at him confused.

"I may be a villain but I'm not a monster," he sighs. "Why were you crying?" The question itself was unexpected, especially from someone she thought only wanted to use her.

"It doesn't matter," she answers quickly as she tries to pull her hands away from him, but he keeps his grip strong. "You shouldn't care if I'm upset or not. Just let me heal you so I can go to bed." She didn't want to fight with him, didn't want more problems or drama. Dabi lets go of her hands and rubs his face in annoyance.

"You're right, I don't care," he confirms. "I just figured the faster you're over it, the better my treatment is." Kagome glares at him, cursing herself for the moment of weakness in front of the villain. Tears of anger well up in her eyes as she turns from him and stands up. "And where the hell do you think you're going?" She ignores him while making her way to the exit. If he was really just going to use her like that, then fine. Make him angry to the point he attacks me and have it look like an ambush. She was tired of the fear, of the confusion. She wanted to be in control for once. "I'm fucking talking to you, Princess!" Dabi snaps, not bothering to stand up and go after her. Kagome takes a deep breath, not turning around but stopping to signal she was listening.

"Such a good little pet, aren't you?" he sneers. "Get the fuck back over here, I said we weren't done." There was a threat laced in his words, hidden but menacing. Letting out a shaky breath, Kagome hangs her head in shame and goes back to him. No problems, no drama, she keeps telling herself she can get through this one more time. "Good girl." Kagome blushes softly as she sits back down and gets to work on his shoulders. Dabi instantly relaxes against her touch, pleased that his aggression snapped her out of whatever was upsetting her. Seeing her sad didn't sit well with him for some reason. Closing his eyes once more, he tilts his head back as Kagome's hands make their way up his neck.

"I'm sorry," Kagome whispers out, feeling like a child for her actions. A bratty child that was ready to walk away from a villain. "I shouldn't have acted that way when it wasn't you're fault." Dabi carefully listens to her, not sure if she was aware she was even talking. "I'm sure you're just in a lot of constant pain. That would make anyone grouchy, wouldn't it?" He didn't dare open his eyes, focusing solely on the feeling of her hands around his neck and grazing his jaw. Kagome finds herself relaxing in his company, her feather-like touches gaining just a bit of weight against Dabi. She knew it was wrong for her to be content with a villain, but there was a gentleness in him that he was hiding deep down. He may have said he didn't care, that he was only using her but his aura contradicted those words.

Dabi sighs out in content, the tightness of his muscles easing away as a sense of security washes over him. How she knew exactly where her attention was most needed he'd never know, but her existence was heaven sent. He could feel her relax against him, giving him a lightness he's never felt before. Dabi breathes in slow and deep as her hands get to his cheeks. The gentle, caring motions she made stirred his emotions into confusion. Was it her quirk that he was addicted to or was it her touch? Was it the rush he felt with her energy flowing through him or was it the way she bantered with him like it was second nature?

His hands find hers, holding onto them for a moment before ripping them away from his face. The sudden action causes Kagome to fall back, confusion etched across her face as she looks up at the now standing male. Dabi slips his shirt back over his head and shrugs on his jacket, completely silent and void of emotion on his features. His aura, however, was dancing wildly with confusion and uncertainty. "Dabi?" Kagome calls out, sending a chill down his spine at the sound of his name.

"We're done for the night," he says quickly. Dabi didn't want to risk more than just craving her power, knowing she's bound to leave when this war is over. "Go back to your dorm before you're caught." With that, he leaves her confused on the ground. They were playing a dangerous game and one of them was destined to lose.

Kagome picks herself up and heads home when his figure finally leaves her sight. Everything comes back to her from the day, hitting her like a pile of bricks. Exhaustion quickly catches up to her as she gets into sight of the dormitory, Aizawa waiting outside patiently for her. Fear courses through her at the sight of her teacher but can't bring herself to fully care. She was spent.

"Kagome, where have you been?" he asks sternly yet couldn't cover the worry he had for his student. Tears well in her eyes at the question. She couldn't tell him the truth, she wouldn't tell anyone about it. "Kagome?" She rushes over to him despite her legs screaming at her not to and throws her arms around him as she sobs against his chest.

"I'm sorry, Aizawa," she chokes out. "I saw Izuku and Katsuki leaving so I followed them." Her teacher hesitantly rests his hand on her head. "They made me really worried so I watched them fight." More sobs make their way out. "I wanted to stop them, I wanted to help them."

"You did the right thing by staying out of it," Aizawa sighs. "They were just being idiots that needed to get out aggression."

"You weren't there," her voice becomes quiet as she pulls away from him. "You didn't hear the pain in their words to each other. But they're wrong. It's my fault. It's all my fault!" Kagome yells without realizing it. "Aizawa I'm the reason they kept fighting! The reason All Might's retiring! It's my fault for being selfish and now they're the ones paying for it."
