After the string of bank robberies was put down National City had returned back to normal. The City was now being powered by Lena and Kate's generator. Most of all with Maggie's announcement to run for Police Commissioner, and Sam's to run for City Council. Immediately both of their races became competitive. New polls released had Sam just about even only down 3 percent 48-45 percent with 7 percent undecided. In the Commissioner race however a clear front runner had emerged. In the first poll with Maggie in the race she had become the clear frontrunner with almost a clear plurality of people with 48 percent saying they would vote for her in the election . Reeves then came in with 18 London with 13, Garcetti with 10 percent, Worthington with 4, and Riley polling up the rear with 2 with 5 percent undecided. A clear contrast to the race that had Reeves and London Running away with it. What became clear is that Many of London's supporters were supporting him but were lying in wait for Maggie's decision, and Reeves' smear campaign against Maggie had little success condemning her in the court of public opinion. The Money race was also intense, everything pointing to one of the most expensive campaigns in the history of the city, the candidates raising so much money it almost looked like they were running for president of the United States. Reeve's quickly became the big business candidate although if you listened to him and his surrogates he was the man of the people, but when you have Morgan Edge, Michelle Zeus, and Daniella Power's and even outside entities looking to break into National City to rape the populous building more high priced high rises pricing so many locals out of the market entitis like the Paradigm group donatd heavily to Reeve's campaign giving the councilmen just shy of 74 million dollars. Jerry London had tried to take as much money and donors of the table just in case Maggie did decide to run and many flocked to her. He managed to raise a total of 57 million dollars. Garcetti was able to tap into his old donor list of people that wanted the status quo to stay the same not liking what Maggie stood for but did not trust Arthur Reeve's enough and he raised just under 20 million dollars. Worthington and Riley pulled up the rear raising meager totals both under 5 million dollars. However just like in the polls Maggie has raised more than all of them Raising a little over 80 millions a large part of it came from Lena, Kate, and Diana, but Maggie also had more individual donations from regular people raising 20 million from individuals or small businesses. Almost a quarter of a Million raised for the Commissioners race. It was also announced that a series of debates would be held for the commissioner debate because of how high profile it had become. Maggie, Reeves, London and Garcetti all qualified under the rules set. It was viewed that Worthington and Riley did not have enough support to merit being put in the debate. The whole city was focused on this race and the significance of it. Endorsements were also a major source the Mayor and the city council endorsed Reeves, but in an unexpected twist the District Attorney office the same office that Garcetti ran only a few years prior, and Riley currently works for endorsed Maggie breaking with the other city officials Donna Spectre. An idealistic young woman who like Maggie wanted to reform the DA's office from the regressive Garcetti administration. All were waiting for the two major endorsements: the city of commerce and the Police Union both could sway the election in a major way and it was unclear who either organization would endorse, and thought Maggie had a thirty point margin in the polls she wanted to protect the lead. However, within six months anything could happen.

A week after Maggie's announcement an unusual break in happened at a local pharmaceutical company. Many thought that the robbers had returned again, but this was quickly dispatched firstly because the the modus operandi of the group was to rob tech facilities to gain parts to build the generator, and second because from people who were present the assailant or rather creature was barely human from the eye witness reports. It was the last thing Maggie really wanted, especially with so many things going right in the campaign so far, and she did not want to give Reeves any sort of ammunition for the campaign trail. Reeves was already pivoting his campaign to blame Maggie for not so much an increase in crime, but rather the different class of criminal that the city has found itself with from Doc Oak, to the Phantasm. A mercenary squad of thieves with advanced tech to now an unknown animalistic assailant. Though the claim is unfounded it was true that since Maggie took over as commissioner the city had to worry less and less about small-time crime, but rather this new wave of super criminals that seem to keep appearing in the city. However she can take comfort that its her leading the department because if its someone like Reeves and garcetti running the department they would make due on there promise to go to war with the vigilantes of the city like Batwoman or Overgirl and that was to no one's benefit considering that they are the ones that stopped Reign and the Phantasm.

Kate, Pamela, and Lena went to the Devlin-Mcgregor facility that had been broken into to investigate. The three had surmised that in all likelihood the assailant was a mutagen of sometype. A hybrid creature of unknown origin, and there was only a head full of organizations and individuals that could put forth such an endeavor and have success genetically splicing genomes. Pamela had become somewhat of an expert in genetic research because one of the cornerstones of her success at kane industries was the ability to splice different types of fauna with fauna with different regions to make them adaptable to the new surroundings. In Pamela's mind her greatest achievement would be to terraform the Sahara desert with genetic variants of plants that can survive in extreme heat with various important crops like corn or wheat. Lena did not dive into the realm of genetics but her suit was a very useful tool for detection and analysis, and Kate because of course she was the great detective of the group. They had searched the no abandoned facility for any clue. They got to the lab that had been broken into hoping that would be the best chance at finding any type of clue to who or what could have done this. Kate found the first significant clue. One of the guards that had been attacked had a tape recorder with him at the time of the attack from the sounds of it trying to record an additional video for an infomercial of some type. However at the end of that you could hear the man go silent and then from nowhere scream and start saying " NO STAY BACK! GET AWAY FROM !" then a monstrous shriek of unknown origin that neither woman had ever heard before. Lena then found the second major clue: a couple strands of what appeared to be animal hair using the advanced magnification of the iron maiden armor. Between the hair and the tape recording the three were certain that the assailant was some type of mutant creature the question is who created it. Kate had just hired a geneticist Francine Langstrom to help Pamela with her research in genetics and gene splicing. Kate and Pam both agreed that they would loop Dr Langstrom in and see if she could shine any light on the mystery being that her specialty is in animal mutations and genomes.

The next day Kate and Pam arrived at Kane Industries and went to Dr Langstrom's lab. If one was being honest the couple was actually split on bringing in the good doctor. Pamela was well aware of Aleera Langstrom and her research, and honestly on a moral and philosophical level Pamela despised Langstrom. It was well established that for all the breakthroughs that the doctor had in the field of genetics many people did not agree with her methods and the manner in which she conducted her research. Langstrom became a pariah as of late for her research for what she claimed was the creation of a new being of creature in her worlds, the next link in the genetic chain. So controversial was her work that before she became an employee of Kane industries no one would hire the doctor. Pamela did not want him hired, but Kane wanted to give it a shot and see if they could learn anything from her work. When the pair entered the lab Pamela was uneasy; it looked like they were in the lair of Dracula. The lab was dark and foreboding. Cages upon cages of bats littered the room. It made sense that Francine Langstrom was the world's leading chiropterologist. Much of her research was with bats dissecting the bat gynome to the smallest strand. The woman walked around the lab not seeing the good doctor in the room. Pamela was examining one of the bat species, but then was scared within an inch of her life when Francine sneaked up on the former plant villainess. Kate approaches the doctor " Dr langstrom good to see you." The doctor did not look amused at the appearance of the two women even though both essentially signed her paychecks. Kate took in the demeanor of the doctor and decided to get straight to the point " Doctor Pamela and I have a bit of a problem for the past few nights we have been hearing noises from the chimney at my mansion. I am no expert but it sounded something like bats in my belfry. I managed to get a recording of the sound of the animal, and last night I found hair at the front of the fireplace. Now I personally don't mind the bats, in fact i love the things, but Pam here is not the biggest fan. So we decided to come here today to see if you could give us your expert opinion on what we have going on in the chimney." Dr langstrom was not altogether pleased with the request thinking of all the ways her time would better be served, but full well knowing that Kate Kane took a chance on her when no one else would, but she did not want her and especially Pamela Isley to unearth her secret off the books project especially now that it was yielding results so she agreed to help the red heads.

A few days had gone by and more and more pharmaceutical companies had been robbed. Witnesses described the same perpetrator as a demonic bat-like figure within human strength. Pam grew learly of the delay in Langstrom's results. They were not asking her to decode the genome of the bat. They just needed simple analysis to tell them what they were dealing with or at least to point them in the right direction. Kate for her part didn't share Pamela's suspicion of the doctor and thought Pam was just being paranoid. Langstrom had many projects she oversaw at Kane Industries, and maybe this was not at the top of her list. For the moment they needed to focus on the campaign trail. Morgan Edge was hosting a Gala for the candidates for the police commissioner race. Now of course everyone was leery of Edge not exactly being one of their favorite people in the world. Edge was a firm supporter of Arthur Reeves, but left it to Edge to want to monopolize the headlines by hosting an event with the candidates, major business leaders, donors , and organizations in the city. Many have taken a side on the campaign, but others are still on the fence about how to support it. Maggie was not going to go, not really a fancy party woman least of all parties hosted by Morgan Edge, but the group convinced Maggie that it was best to go and network to shore up support and gain new allies for the campaign. However Maggie got her pound of flesh and said that she would go if the group went which was met with apprehension but eventually everyone agreed to help Maggie.

At the Edge Gala National City's elite were out in force coming out to have a great time and to meet the candidates, maybe drop a million or two if they were so inclined. Maggie arrived wearing a dress certainly a far cry from the Commissioners usual jeans, blouse and leather jacket she would usually frequent. Maggie had to admit of all the things from her young political career she hated the most was going to parties and fundraising events she was always happy to leave that to Lena, Diana, and Kate who lived in these circles from time to time. So the Commissioner was certainly a pilgrim in a very unholy land, but after a few moments she saw some familiar faces and made a b-line right for them. Lena and Kara and Diana and Kiara were sat at their table. The four women saw Maggie coming towards them with a certain vigor they were not used to seeing from the Commissioner. They did know that Maggie was going to be uncomfortable this not being her scene. Kara and Kiara sympathize with her honestly if it was not for their significant others Kara and Kiara would probably never attend an event like this less one that has Morgan Edge all over it. Maggie got to the table the four were sitting at " you guys can not leave me alone with these people '' the group chuckled a little at how uncomfortable the usually solid and witty commissioner was. Lena chimed in " Maggie you work in one of the most patriarchal and misogynistic jobs on the planet, you run one of the biggest police departments in the country in a city that tries to stand in your way whenever it can and you're worried about wealthy socialites." Maggie turned to the woman " well Lena i would take one fo the Mayor's boring meetings versus being in a room of wealthy money back present company excluded of course when I say that. As the group bantered back and forth Kate had finally arrived with a noticeable absence that everyone noticed and that was Pamela was not at Kate's side. Kate sat down at the table with her friends and cohorts and greeted everyone. Kara then asked the question "is Pamela not coming tonight ?" Kate gave a slight smile " Pamela has been trying to figure out who or what is committing these robberies at the pharmaceutical companies. We asked Aleera Langstrom to investigate the evidence that we found at Devlin-McGregor. Pamela does not trust her and has become increasingly skeptical that Langstrom is hiding something or at the very least trying to cover something up. So Pamela decided to go pay the good doctor a visit then head here." The group looked perplexed knowing that Pamela is sometimes not the most cordial of people especially if you rubbed her the wrong way but they were curious what this Dr Langstrom did to get on Ivy's shit list. Diana was the one who chimed in this time " So what does Pamela have against Dr Langstrom?" Kate sat back in her chair " I understand a part of Pamela's anger and hatred of LAngstrom she is not the only one in the world who I promise you. However Kane Industries has been trying to do more with genetics and gene splicing. Aleera Langstrom for many years was at the top of her field in this respect. Very much respected at the time, but then Langstrom took a dark turn and many of her experiments were seen as morally wrong and some inhumane making the once respected scientist a pariah to many. Pamela became very aware of Langstrom and her research as well as the doctors' fall from grace. So when I told her that I was going to hire her to run are genetics department Pamela got upset about the decision. Since then Pam has taken great strides to keep an eye on Langstrom to make sure that she is on the up and up." The group understood but before they could continue the conversation they were interrupted by the man they all hoped to ignore tonight " ladies i am so glad you all could make it tonight. Commissioner i am so glad you accepted my invitation to come" Morgan Edge stood over their table receiving a very cold and frozen reaction from the women. Lena looked at the real estate mogul " I am surprised you had time to get to us seeing all the brown nosing you have been doing round the room so far." Edge smirked " oh Lena i did miss that classic Luthor charm and wit." Lena rolled her eyes. Then it went from bad to worse when two other party guests made their way to the table turning their attention away from Edge " Morgan how are you?" edge turned to the two approaching women " Victoria Daniella how are you so good of you to come." Victoria Von Doom and Daniella Powers had joined the fray " Of course Morgan i wouldn't miss it" Edge then motioned to the woman at the table " i trust you have met these ladies here Police Commissioner Sawyer, Lena Luthor the CEO of L Corp, Kate Kane CEO of Kane Industries, Diana Prince National Cities top Antiquities dealer, and their significant others Kara Danvers and Kiara Wagner. Although Miss Kane seems to be missing her significant other, I am sure Pam will turn up soon. However Ladies if you will excuse me I am neglecting my other guests please excuse me." Edge removed himself leaving Victoria and Daniella with Maggie and the others. Victoria threw the first barb " i didn't think they let rabble into events like these" they all knew what the latverian dictator was trying to do cause a major scene right now maybe even a fight. Kara however could not resist a shot back breaking from her usual nice character " i didn't think they let morally corrupt bitches who do nothing but ruin the ground that they walk on." The table was stunned at Kara's venomous barb, and even more surprised that it seemed like the dictator and the businesswoman seemed to be caught off guard, maybe because it was Kara saying it. What everyone knew now was that this evening just went to another level of interest.

At Kane Industries Pamela walked through the corridors making her way to Langstrom's office. She wanted to get this done as soon as possible so she could get to the Gala. She grew tired of waiting for Langstrom to give them the results and had to admit she did get leery of Kate's defense of the geneticist. Pam did find it strange that it's taken this long for anyone getting a direct order from the CEO of the company, especially one who you owe your career to would have had this done the same day. This was just another in the long list of things Pamela hated about Aleera Langstrom. She knew the doctor had a thing for working late at night so she was willing to bet the good doctor was in her lab at this hour. As Pam got closer to the lab she noticed something was not right. The door looked like it was forced open. Upon closer inspection the door was forced and it looked like something had clawed its way into the lab. Pam went inside the lab and saw that it was a mess: broken glass littered the floor, papers thrown all over the place, the tables and cabinets dripping in liquid from the broken beakers. Pam did not see Langstrom anywhere and if she was honest seeing the state of the lab she was actually worried about the red head. Pamela walked around the dimly lit room trying to find any signs of life. Pamela stepped in front of one of the computers in the lab and saw the last thing that was accessed was a chemical compound agent much like the other robberies. Pamela was broken out of her thoughts by a drop of liquid that landed on her shoulder. Pamela looked at it and disgusted by the slimy feel of it, almost looking like saliva. This thought then shot Pam's eyes wide open at the realization if that saliva was where it came from. This caused her to look up and in the skylight of the lab hung a large winged creature staring right at her with scarlet red eyes and fangs that looked like they could rip flesh with ease. Pam is not one to get scared easily but this was absolutely terrifying. The creature then released from the roof with a deafening screech and flew directly at Pamela. Pam ducked behind one of the tables as the creature took its pass and missed. Ivy then scrambled to get out of there, but the creature was right on her taking a large swipe with its sharp talons. Ivy dove out the door as the creature crashed through and landed on a ledge looking directly at Pam with sinister intention. The creature jumped from the perch and flew at Ivy again this time having no place to evade. Ivy looked and saw one of the planters with some smaller trees planted inside. She closed her eyes and focused on trying to throw a hail mary. As the creature went for the death blow right before it could connect it was struck from the side and sent crashing into the wall. Pam opened her eyes and saw the creature in the hole in the wall and then looked to her other side and saw the trees coming to life. Pam was very pleased with herself only controlling smaller plants like this bringing them to life. Pam commanded the trees and captured the creature. The winged creature regained its composure and saw the trees coming towards it protecting Pamela. The creature now seeing the tables have been turned and scrambled to get away and flee. Ivy orders the plants to try and capture and restrain the creature. The creature flew towards the domed skylight on the roof trying to escape. Ivy thought quickly and grabbed the nearby fire hose trying to tap into her inner cowgirl and lasso the creature. Pam released the hose and made the one in the million shot and wrapped the hose around one of the feet of the creature. However she was not allowed to savor her small triumph because what she did not account for was the strength of the creature and her relative weightlessness and lack of strength, and almost immediately she was pulled up. The creature broke through the glass dome with ease pulling Pamela with her. Pam was now hanging on for dear life getting pulled across the city in the sky.

At the Edge Gala Kate was starting to get worried because Pamela should have been there by now and she had not heard from her yet which was strange. Maggie, Lena, Diana, Kara, and Kiara tried their best to relax the redheaded CEO. However her cellphone and curiously enough Maggie's cell phone went off at the same time. Maggie was the first to answer her phone and listened to the person on the other end of the line " Commissioner I hate to disturb you we have had numerous reports that the creature that has been attacking the pharmaceutical companies has just attacked the Kane Industries headquarters." Maggie's eyes went wide and the mention that the creature had just attacked Kane Industries and looked to Kate who herself was talking animatedly with the person on the other end of the phone. Talking with Kate was her secretary Rachel who had essentially just told Kate the same thing Maggie was just told of, but with another more alarming piece of information " Kate it looks like the creature attacked Dr Langstrom's office and completely trashed it." At the mention of Dr Langstrom's office Kate's eyes went wide and her heart started to race " rachel where is pam she was going to ask Dr Langstrom some questions about an inquiry we made a few days ago. Is she okay, is she safe?" Kate heard Rachel's trial and had not given her the quick response she was hoping for or passed the phone to Pam " Rachel where is Pam?" Rachel took an intake of air and continued " the security cameras caught Pam entering the lab and then a few minutes later rushing out being followed by the creature. Pam was able to fight the creature off, but she went to pursue the creature, and we don't know what happened after that." As soon as Rachel said that Kate hung up the phone and immediately dialed Pam's number and got no answer. Diana, Kara, Lena, and Kiara were unsure of what had just happened, but it sounded like there was something happening at kane industries. Maggie looked at the women's inquisitive looks, and then to Kate frantically trying to reach Pam. Maggie then clued the others in " there was a break in at Kane industries. It looks to be the same creature that broke into the pharmaceutical companies. It looks like the lab that got targeted was the lab of Dr Aleera Langstrom, and if I heard correctly that's the same lab that Ivy was going to." the realization then dawned on everyone. Everyone just looked at the frantic redhead who by now was on her fourth or fifth attempt at trying to reach ivy. Kate then looked at the group looking at her with worried concern " that was Rachel she told me about the break in, but she said Ivy fought the creature off and then tried to pursue it, and they don't know where they went after that." before any of them could respond to what Kate had just said they realized that the room was starting to get unruly like something was happening. Then they realized everyone was starting to look up and pointing at something in the sky. They looked up as well and then their eyes went wide at what they saw. They saw the winged creature flying over the gala and what they saw after that shocked them even more. It was ivy hanging on for dear life. The woman had to go into action because this could go very wrong for Pamela if they did not get some help. Lena and Kiara were the only two that were battle ready thanks to their nano suits. The group nodded their accents and both turned to Kate and Lena was the one to say " don't worry we will bring Pam home safe" Kate trying her best to not lose her cool nodded at her two friends hoping that was the truth. Kiara and Lena ran to a part of the roof where no one was paying attention and both quickly jumped off the roof activating their suits and from there iron maiden and Overgirl took flight.

Both women zeroed in on the winged creature both knowing that until they got Pam away they could not use force at risk of hurting Pam. The winged creature was using evasive tactics to try and make Pam let go so it can escape. Pam was trying to climb the hose to reach the creature, but with the speed they were going and all the evasive maneuvers the creature was attempting it was too dangerous, but Pam also knew that she was at its mercy at this point. She looked back a little relieved to see Overgirl and Iron Maiden tailing them now knowing that they passed by the gala. Lena and Kiara were talking on their coms to try and find a way to take down the creature without hurting Ivy, but were coming up with nothing good. The creature suddenly took the decision out of their hands when it went into a sharp nose dive giving Ivy a sickening jerk then in another swift motion the creature pulled up causing Ivy to then swing into the building right in front of her. Ivy had no other choice. It was either slam into the side of the building and die or fall and hope that her friends would catch her. She opted for the second option and let go of the hose falling to the street. Lena and Kiara could not believe what they just saw, and immediately Lena used all the booster power she had to accelerate to catch Ivy while Kiara went after the creature now able to deal with it her way. Ivy was screeching, falling to her apparent doom not knowing if Lena or Kiara would try and save her. The people that once looked like ants a few seconds ago were coming further and further into view. Then suddenly Ivy was grabbed and pulled to a complete stop some twenty feet off the ground. When she looked back she saw Iron maiden holding her giving Lena a nod of appreciation. In the air Kiara was quickly catching the creature, and decided to see if she could use her hearing ray to knock it out of the sky. She sent some blasts but without even looking the creature evaded the shots effortlessly. So she flew faster and was beginning to gain on it however what she didn't realize till it was to late was that the creature wanted to be caught and as soon as Kiara was right on it the creature turned around and unleashed a deafening sonic blast at point blank range taking out overgirl and sending her crashing down into the street below. A few seconds later Iron maiden and Ivy arrived to check on Overgirl who was clearly disoriented by the blast and was actually bleeding from her ears. Overgirl had lost her hearing, a side effect of taking the blast from point blank range so Lena decided to get her and Ivy back to the DEO for check up.

At the DEO the team had arrived with Maggie close behind to see what had happened. Ivy only had some minor cuts and scrapes but nothing too serious. Kiara was slowly regaining her hearing thanks to her kryptonian healing abilities, but was still hard of hearing. The team then looked to ivy looking for any type of information the former plant villainess could give about the creature. Ivy began her explanation of the night's events " so I was going to check on Dr Langstrom's progress on the tests that Kate and I had requested of her being that I don't have the faith that Kate has in the good doctor. I got off the elevator and made my way to her lab but I felt something was off the closer I got, and as I got into visual range of the lab I noticed that the door had been forced open from the outside. I entered the lab and it looked like a tornado had ripped through the lab. Glass was everywhere, machines were destroyed and Dr Langstrom was nowhere to be found. However as I furthered my investigation of the destruction I was going to call security. Before I could , a big glob of saliva dropped from the roof almost hitting me which then made me look up at the sky light in the lab and to my horror I saw the creature hanging upside down staring right at me. Before I knew it the creature flew right at me and tried to kill me. I escaped into the hall, but the creature followed me. The only reason i am even here now is because I managed to control the plants in the planter there to protect me, stunning the creature and forcing it to retreat. Then I got the bright idea to follow it and grabbed the fire hose and lassoed it around the creature, but then got pulled up into the air and we broke through the glass ceiling. Then you know the rest from there." Maggie was the next to chime in " I had my forensics team scan the lab. The good thing is there does not seem to be any signs of Dr Langstrom in the lab so the assumption is the good doctor was not present at the lab during the time of the attack. It looks like the creature was trying to get a chemical the doctor had in her lab, a type of mutagen but it looks like Ivy interrupted it because the vault was only partially forced open. We think it's the same creature that attacked the other companies." When Maggie finished something she said caught Ivy's interest " did you say that Dr langstrom was not in the lab?" Maggie nodded affirmatively " In the whole time Langstrom has been with the company she has never left before midnight thats how i was sure she would be in the lab." The statement of suspicion did carry some weight to it because the doctor was consistent in that respect. " Ivy then chimed in, can you have some officer track her down and bring her in?" Maggie then nodded her assent and went to make it so. Kate knew exactly what Ivy was thinking and though she was annoyed that this vendetta and hatred of Langstrom almost got Ivy killed and now she was having Maggie start a manhunt for the doctor. Alex and Ivy were analyzing the evidence found in the lab to see if they could find anything that could point to what this creature is. Alex and Ivy had determined that the creature was a type of hybrid creature with humanoid DNA and what appeared to be bats. However the DNA they recovered showed that the creatures DNA was unstable which then led to the epiphany moment all the compounds that had been stolen and the mutagen that the creature tried to steal from kane industries separately were nothing special but together it could form a compound that would make the condition of the creature permanent and would be in that form permanently. Maggie had called in and said that the units they sent to find Dr Langstrom had struck out furthering Ivy suspicion. However Ivy needed to prove her theory true knowing how suspicious her teammates were. Ivy found out that kane enterprises was not the only place to carry the mutagen compound. The only other place in the city to carry it was the labs at Powers Tech so Ivy deduced that the creature would attack there next. The team and the DEO positioned themselves outside the Powers Tech research base Maggie had her officers hanging back to assist if needed. Of course Daniella Power was less than helpful, allowing them access to the facility, and McDaggett would commit none of his men to the endeavor. The team was skeptical of Ivy's theory that the creature was actually Langstrom and that her research was further along than anyone had thought and she had finally been able to splice human and animal DNA starting with herself to avoid detection with controversial experiments. J'onn was not very thrilled with committing so many resources, but was convinced that this was the best lead that they had.

The group was waiting for the creature about ready to abort until one of the DEO drones high above the site picked up a flying object measuring some 13-15 feet in wingspan heading right at them. The team was certain that this was the creature heading towards the facility so they readied themselves. A few minutes later the creature was in range and landed in front of the facility. From the little information they got from McDaggett about the security of the facility there was no in person security in the facility so innocent bystanders would be at risk. The creature approached the door and with ease almost like ripping a piece of tin foil ripped open the door and entered the facility. J'onn had given the order to wait till the creature had exited the building. A few minutes later the creature exited the facility carrying a canister of the chemical in question. J'onn had given the order to move in and try to capture the creature. However the soldiers had no chance as the creature with its advanced echolocation and no sooner did the agents get into range the creature used its sonar attack taking out the six agents in front and immobilizing them. The creature let out a loud screeching roar and began to take flight and was fired upon by the drones which it evaded with ease and then used its sonic screech to destroy the drones. Diana then used her lasso and caught the foot of the creature and dug in as the creature started to drag her so she would not be like Ivy a few days ago. The creature tried to resist, but Diana used that Demi god strength to keep the creature from flying away. Kate then used her grappling hook and rope and latched onto the creature as well to help Diana. Iron Maiden and Overgirl flew up into the air to take down the prepared to use her heat ray and Lena her una beam. However the creature predicted this and at the moment of attack went into a dive avoiding both attacks which in turn hit one another knocking both Overgirl and Iron maiden out. The creature then flew right back and Diana and Kate tried to strike the two. The two of them evaded the strike, releasing the creature. However as the creature's attention was on Kate and Diana it did not see the incoming strike from a huge tree branch sending the creature crashing to the ground. The creature was momentarily dazed " i know it's you Langstrom you red blooded invertebrate. I knew we couldn't trust you, this was why you were so secretive, why you didn't want anyone near your lab to hide your abominable experiments. I am going to end you once and for all and cleanse the earth of your filth." The trees then tried to strike the creature. The creature evaded the strike, and recognized that it was over matched and went to fly away. The team fired what they could but the creature evaded and was quickly out of range of their fire. J'onn ordered the injured to be taken back to the DEO for medical treatment. Ivy was upset the creature got away, but after some comforting from Kate she calmed down. It appeared that the creature was not able to take the chemical with it as it seems in the strike from ivy the creature landed on the canister and lay there in a puddle were the creature laid in. After this they may never know who or what that creature actually was.

A few days later Dr Langstrom had requested a meeting with Kate and pamela. It seems the good doctor took a small vacation to the country as the reason for her sudden disappearance, but if you asked Pamela it was all a cover up. Dr Langstrom entered Kate's office " thank you both for being here. I am going to make this brief and there is nothing that can change my mind about this. Miss Kane, I want to thank you for actually giving me a chance when no one else would because of my reputation, but since I have been here I have been met with nothing but contempt on the part of some, and those people have served if anything to stifle my progress. I have accepted a very gracious offer from Power Tech. They are giving me double what I make here as well as making me the head of their new genetics department. So effective immediately I tender my resignation, and I will be heading down to clear my lab of my things." Before either Pam or Kate could say anything Langstrom turned on her heels and walked out. About 30 minutes later Pam had gone to Langstrom's lab to find the doctor, in fact clearing her lab out " so of course a piece of filth like you would go work for an immoral maniac like Daniella Power." Langstrom looked up at the red head " ah Pamela i had a feeling you would come and find me." Ivy approached the other woman " i may not be able to prove that you and that creature are one and the same, but i know the truth you found a way to splice your DNA with bats and you needed the chemicals to stabilize the DNA and make it permanent. So I may not be able to prove it one day I will have you in chains rotting in a cell." Langstrom looked at her and gave a sadistic smirk " Ah Pamela i have to hand it to you the only one that was able to figure it out, but sad that you can't prove a thing." Before she knew it Langstrom's eyes turned a bright red and her teeth became fang like. " Of course I am the she-bat who else had the knowledge to create a breakthrough like this. Imagine the next phase in human evolution: human and animal hybrids. I make you a promise however to one day rip out your throat and watch with a smile on my face watching as life drains from your eyes so keep your eyes open the next time you look into that night sky it may be your last." Ivy was unfazed by Langstrom's morph "I had a feeling that when the canister broke you managed to absorb just enough of the chemical for the DNA reaction to stabilize, and I will be waiting for you." with that Pam left the doctor in her lab.

Langstrom entered her new lab at Powers Tech and set up shop. A little while later she was joined by her new boss Daniella Power and entered the lab " Dr Langstrom, I am glad your settling into your lab and find it to your liking." the doctor looked at the platinum blond " yes miss powers and i thank you for your other contribution in the way of that mutagen." Daniella smirked that trademarked sadistic smirk of hers. " Of course doctor, your thirst for vengeance against Pamela Isley is something my team and I find useful and I think the She-bat will fit right into this team of mine." Daniella reached out her hand and started shaking the doctor's hand " we miss powers i and the she bat are at your disposal."
