Rise of the Legion of Doom

Deep in the bowels of Stonegate penitentiary was the special designed prison for one Octavia Octavius. L-corp had designed the cell to keep the four appendages restrained, keeping the doctor in the middle of the cell. She had been in there since her fight with Lena. Lena had come in various times since trying to find a way to remove the arms, but without doing major spinal damage Lena did not want to risk it. Octavia still held bitter resentments towards Lena, and thought the female Luthor tried her best to be friends with the doctor Octavia would always reject her and vowed revenge. By this point she had come up with more or less a thousand ways to end the life of Lena Luthor and her loved ones. It was time for her daily meal of the day. One of the guards brought the food to her like usual, and set it on the table. When she sat down she noticed something on the tray that looked to be a note on the napkin. Octavia looked at the napkin and saw something scribbled on " I know you want revenge on Lena Luthor for stopping your invention. My partners and I want to help you get your revenge. In a few hours get ready for your release for good behavior sincerely, a friend." Octavia looked shocked yet intrigued by the proposition on the note, and was curious to see what would happen in a few hours. A few hours later Octavia heard a commotion outside, and then alarms of the prison started to blare. Looks like this is it Octavia thought. She heard endless amounts of gunfire and screams coming from outside. Then nothing but quite till she heard someone step in front of her door. The next thing she saw was claws dig into the steel door and begin to push the door inward bending it and taking it off its hinges. Octavia was surprised when in entered a demonic looking creature. The creature stepped towards her " you most be Octavia Octavius we have been sent to be your parol board, and are here to release you from your steel bonds. Before Carnage could break her out Octavia spoke up " so whats the catch. I know your not doing this out of the kindness of your heart if you even have one of those." Carnage turned to the good doctor " my partners and i require someone with your particular talents, and this will also help you get your personal revenge on one Lena Luthor because are goal is to destroy the Sirens." At this Octavia nodded her accent, and carnage started to destroy the steel shackles holding the arms in place freeing them one by one.

It was election day in National City and people were lining up at the polls ready to vote. There was a higher than average voter turnout which was expected to help Maggie. Many people had agreed the Police Commissioner race was a coronation run for Maggie, but the only poll that really mattered would be at the end of the night. Sam was another matter entirely her race was going to be close, and since the situation with Alex a week ago Sam had not even bothered campaigning except doing already planned joint events with Maggie. Maggie honestly was a godsend for Sam because Maggie almost planted her campaign in the district trying to get turnout up for Sam as well as keep Reeves on the defensive in his backyard. The group was still in a depression after what had happened , but none took it harder than Kara. Who even after all the evidence presented before her refused to believe that the Alex danvers she had known since she arrived on Earth. The woman who she called sister the woman who protected and comforted her for years could turn into this monster. She believed even less that Alex was beyond saving, and she knew she owed it to Alex to try and never give up. Lena had taken the symbiotes to an L-corp facility for examination to see if there was some way to stop Carnage.

Maggie had arrived at the DEO and informed everyone of what had happened at Stonegate. Maggie had a city wide APB put out for Octavia, but at this point finding the scientist was difficult. The question on everyone's mind was why did Alex break Octavia out of prison what possible reason could Alex need Doc Oak. One thing is for certain what ever it was could not be good. At the Latverian embassy Victoria had assembled her team after meticulous planning the Latverian dictator was ready to put her plan to dismantle the sirens and bring her legion of doom out from the shadows. Everyone was assembled in the meeting room when Victoria walked in and called them to order " My friends all of us here have been defeated and embarrassed by these so called Sirens. All of us her in this room took the sirens to the brink with our respective powers, skills and intellect. However in each instance it was one against many. Well here and now it stops i have brought each of you together because all of us has an extraordinary ability, and we all want are revenge on the sirens for various reasons. My friends for months many of you have been begging for us to move against the sirens and i have asked for your patience for the right moment when we will have an equal chance against them. Well my friends your patience will be rewarded finally. I can now reveal to you the plan that will bring the sirens to their knees. Thanks to Miss Danvers we know how to strike the sirens when they are their most vulnerable. We will divide them using their own lives against them, and then they will know what it like to fight an uneven battle. I have assigned you in pairs to take on a pair of the sirens each. Daniella and myself will take Wonder Women and Overgirl. Andrea and Francine yo have Batwoman and poison ivy. Erica and Morgan you have Livewire and Tala. Finally Alex and Octavia you get Lena and Supergirl. The plan is to get them when they are separated thanks to Alex, we know where they will be. We will carry the plan out the day of the election when they will be the most distracted, and we will destroy them." the group cheered at the announcement most of them getting restless at Victoria's lack of aggression, but finally their patience has been rewarded.

It was the day of the election the city was buzzing with people heading to their local polling place to make their voices heard. Maggie was uncharacteristically nervous because of the election of course even though conventional wisdom showed that she was miles ahead of her opponents and unless something catastrophic happens she would win a full term as commissioner. The group knew that Maggie was nervous because when she ran the first time in the special election she was never supposed to win it was just a way she could get her points a voice on a grander scale, Winning was something no one expected, but now that she has had the job and actually put her policies to the test and doing all this good both internally and externally changed Maggie. This time however this election meant more to her because it was a referendum on her and what she has been able to do. If she wins then enough people believed in the rightness of her policies and wanted them to continue. However if she lost then that would be a referendum of a different sort and one that would break Maggie because everything she worked the last two years for would have been for not and egotistic jackasses like Arthur Reeves would spend their first term rewriting everything Maggie had worked for. Everyone was doing their last minute election activities to make sure there were no surprises. Leslie would be on the air the whole day encouraging people to go vote for Maggie. Diana and Kiara were preparing the venue for the election night party. Kate and Ivy were with Sam doing last minute campaign events in Sam's district. Lena was supposed to be doing some events for Maggie, but an L-Corp emergency changed those plans and Kara being the girlfriend that she wanted to stay with Lena. They were now stuck in traffic heading for the venue for the party tonight. No one knew the calamity that was about to transpire. Lena and Kara were stuck in traffic heading to meet Kiara and Diana. Since Alex merged with Carnage Kara was lost, and blamed herself for what happened to Alex for not being there to protect her. Lena tried to be as supportive of Kara and be there for her and protect her. It made Lena smirk only a little at the thought that a Luther would be protecting a super, but Lena loved Kara and Kara was in a bad place, and Lena wanted to be there for her like Kara had been there for her time and time again. Kara had really not smiled since finding out about Alex, and it pained Lena to see the Kryptonian like this so devoid of life or emotion. Kara was lost in her little world thinking about Alex and how she could get her sister from the clutches of Carnage. Kara paid no attention to what Lena was trying ti tell her, but something caught Kara's attention off to the side of the freeway she saw what she thought was Alex. Instinctively Kara opened the door of the car and stepped out. Kara looked around frantically but hat she saw was no longer there. Lena stepped out and ran too Kara " kara what is it?" Kara was still looking around, but at Lena's further insistence Kara turned to the Luthor " I thought i saw Alex Lena." Lena looked on sympathetically " Kara Alex was never there your head is using your grief against you." before Kara could retort her super hearing picked up something, and from the sound it was nothing good. Kara turned away from Lena `` Lena something is coming." Lena looked at where Kara was looking down the congested freeway. However before Lena could ask Kara what was coming they heard screams and people started running towards them in peril. Then a rumbling started to emanate then the road caved in leaving a cloud of dust and from the dust a metallic tentacle came up smashing one of the nearby cars. As the dust disappeared the culprit arouse revealing Octavia Octavius who looked directly at Kara and Lena and smirked " Hello Lena" the surprise of Octavia being there enveloped the two heroines, but Lena stepped forward trying to appeal to her friend " Octavia stop this at once no ones been hurt yet. We don't have to take this any further if you give up right now I will convince the DA to not press any further charges." Octavia took off her glasses and looked at Lena " oh Lena you always were Naive spending all that time trying to fix me. Well I am not your project to fix any more. I am here to get my revenge on you Lena like I should have done before, and I am going to peel you like an onion until you beg for death's sweet release." At this point Kara stepped forward in front of Lena not liking her girlfriend being threatened in such a manner " Well Octavia its two versus one and the last time those odds did not work out for you.: the former scientist turned to the blond " Ah supergirl but you think that i am alone this time, but that is a mistake you will come to regret." Before Kara and Lena could respond another figure rose from the whole in the road and Alex landed next to Octavia. Kara was surprised to see her sister for the first time since she and the carnage symbiote merged. Kara stepped forward hoping to try and reach Alex but before she could say anything Alex preempted her response " save your breath Kara appealing to our humanity is futile. We are merged and we like it. After all this time being marginalized because I didn't have powers. Now because of carnage we are more powerful than ever before and we will not let you or anyone else stand in our way." Kara was shocked Alex's usual warm voice was replaced by a demonic dual voice, and even her appearance had changed. Her brunette hair had pronounced streaks of red running through it, her wardrobe was darker, and overall she had a somewhat goth look to her." Kara would not relent " Carnage I want you to listen. I will get my sister back even if I have to rip you from her body." In response Alex morphed into Carnage and gave a demonic roar and then looked at the Kryptonian " Well Kryptonian you are welcome to try, but I promise you today you and your human mate will die." Lena activated her new nano suit preparing for battle, and Kara had ripped off her outfit to reveal her supergirl outfit and the four prepared to fight.

Diana and Kiara were preparing the venue for Maggie's election night and hopefully victory celebration. It was at one of Diana's galleries. The set up was going smoothly for the party. There was a knock on the door of the gallery Diana was expecting a delivery for the party and Kiara said she would get it. Before Kiara could open the door an explosion happened sending her flying and crashing into a nearby pillar Diana ran to Kiara's side, and helped Kiara to her feet. Both looked at where the door once was and standing there were Dr. Doom and Blight standing before them . Victoria stepped forward " Sorry Diana for the unexpected arrival, but we simply had to come and crash the party." Diana Picked a now enraged Kiara up off the ground. Kiara readied herself for a fight, wanting now to kick the asses of the two villainess in front of her. Diana extended her hand and crashing through the wall was Triam landing in Diana's hand, and in a flash of light Diana appeared clad in her Wonder Woman armor. "You wanted a fight Victoria now you have one" . Across town Leslie was finishing a special election day radio program making a final push for Maggie amongst her listeners. Tala was waiting for her because they had a lunch date after. Leslie had just wrapped the show up and stepped out of the radio booth, and into the arms of her lover giving her a big kiss. After they broke Leslie was talking with a combination of her producers and researchers about tomorrow's post elections show. As Leslie talked with her team Tala sensed something of a disturbance, and it was approaching them. Leslie turned to Tala and saw the unsettled look on her girlfriend's face " Tala whats wrong?" Tale looked at Leslie " i feel something powerful coming i have not felt this kind of power since…" Leslie looked at her now afraid of what Tala was hinting at " You mean since you fault Morgana" Tala looked at Leslie and nodded her head affirmatively. Before either could respond the lights started to flicker in the radio station. Everything metal started to come alive and fly across the room sticking to the far wall. The wall started to crumble like the pipes and the beams in the wall started to dance from within. Leslie knew what was coming all too well and it was not going to be good. The walls buckled, falling apart revealing what Leslie was afraid of. As the dust cleared Magneta and Morgana le fey were hovering there. " Look what we have here: the sorcerer's apprentice and the DJ. How romantic." Leslie stepped forward" What are you two doing here? I distinctly remember that me and Tala kicked your asses and sent you running for the hills." Magneta chuckled you got lucky the first time and you don't have your team now to stand behind you, and let's not forget that you developed a new ability to help you beat me so before you start hailing that win as anything more than pure luck, let's look at the facts." Before Leslie could continue Tala stepped forward " Morgana you are no fool even with this mortal helping you my power is still greater than yours. I would think that the previous fight would have convinced you of that." Morgana spoke up " Ah Tala some things never change back then your were just as gifted its why the coven accepted you, but you were still as arrogant. Yes your natural power is stronger than mine, but raw power is not everything. I have an extensive knowledge of magic items and I have been collecting the right items to even the playing field." Magenta then broke up the conversation " I am getting tired of all this talk, it's time to settle this."

At the Anthony Garcia community center Sam was wrapping up her last campaign event. Kate was with Pam listening to Sam wrap up her speech. Kate turned to Pam " you know i am really proud of you right" Pam looked at Kate " proud for what darling?" Kate smirked " for this Pam from where you took Sam, both of you political rookies yet you guys ran in a hostile district because you both want to help the community. You guys turned a race that was not competitive into a toss up win or lose. I am proud of you both. Sam finished her speech and left the stage to applause from the packed room and walked behind stage to Kate and Pam. " So thats it then the last campaign event i may ever have to do depending on how tonight goes." Sam then walked towards Ivy giving the former plant villainess a big hug stunning the red head." As Sam pulled back ivy then inquired " what was that for" Sam smiled " for everything convincing me to run, helping me campaign. If it was not for you Ivy this would not be happening this campaign is as much yours as it is mine so if i win you win Pam.`` Pam was touched. It was true that she and Sam had become very good friends since they started campaigning, spending hours out of the day planning and campaigning, but Sam's statement touched her deeply." Before Pam could respond they heard the arrival of Ruby rushing to hug her mother. " Mom, I am so proud of you. Whatever happens tonight I am so proud of you for fighting for what you believe in. I know Alex would be just as proud of you." Sam had to admit she did get misty eyed at the comment. It was no secret that Sam had struggled not having Alex there with her, and if not for Pam, Ruby, Lena, and everyone else she probably would not have been able to hack it over the last few days of the campaign." before Sam could say anything there was a loud crash and then many screams of terror causing the group to run to the main room where the previously jovial crowd was now running screaming in terror. To the horror of all four of them flying right above the ground was She-Bat flapping her wings quickly.. Kate turns to Sam to take Ruby out of her and to call the DEO and tell them they needed back up, but before Kate could continue she was interrupted. " I think you may want to rethink that strategy." As the group looks towards the origin of the voice a shiver runs down Kate's spine looking at the fog that rolled in. From the fog the figure Kate hoped she would never see again emerged " Kate Kane and Pamela Isley your angel or should I say angels of death await." Kate was again turned to Sam." Sam " Sam get Ruby out of here get to the DEO me and Pam will hold them off till help comes." before Sam could say anything a blade erupted from her sleeve shredding the jacket sleeve in the process " Sam don't talk just go." Sam looked at Kate " reign and I can help you fight them 3 on 2 is way better odds then 2 on 2." for the final time Kate turned to her " Sam you need to protect Ruby and get her out of here Pam and I have it under control." She was conflicted but knew that Kate was right she needed to get Ruby out of there so reluctantly she nodded her head grabbed Ruby and ran for the exit With Sam and Ruby running for safety Kate turned back to the Phantasm and She-Bat hoping that she was right and she and Pam could hold them off. Kate was not prepared for a fight like this. Kate looked to pam who in turn was looking right back at her, both nodded towards each other. Ivy then used her powers and summoned the few plants around the room causing them to come alive to come to their aid.

At DEO headquarters Maggie was meeting with J'onn about progress on tracking down Octavia and Alex. Maggie was sitting in J'onn's office waiting for him to arrive. After a few minutes J'onn arrived " Maggie how are you. I hear that congratulations should be in order now." Maggie smiled at the comment " save those congratulations till after all the votes have been counted." Maggie's comment made J'onn smirk a little " So I assume you're here for progress on finding Alex and Octavia?" Maggie nodded her head in the affirmative " Well I wish I could tell you more Alex was the best agent the DEO had and with the symbiote it has been impossible to pin her down. Plus we have no idea why she would break Octavia out of prison, or what their plan would be." Maggie looked at J'onn " Nothing adds up about this even after the accident with Octavia they never interacted so there is no connection between them other than the fact Kara and the other stopped her." Before they could continue Maggie's phone started to blow up and the alarms started to blare in the main hall. An agent ran into the office " sir there are attacks across the city." Maggie then received a phone call " this is Sawyer" the voice waited a few seconds " Commissioner its DPC Reagan we have an emergency situation. We have attacks across the city. We have called in all available units and off duty units as well. I need your authority to authorize the mobilization of our heavy duty assets." Maggie paused " Heavy duty assets, what exactly are we dealing with?" the man responded quickly " the reports are unclear but it looks like a coordinated attack by many of the villains of the past few months are attacking." that statement sent a chill down Maggie spine " you have my authorization. The first priority is to get civilians clear. I am at the DEO right now, and I will run from here. Contact the mayor and see if he can get us national guard support as quickly as possible. Also get in contact with Jerry London to see if we can get support from the Sheriff." Reagan responded affirmatively " I will send the crisis team to the DEO right away to set up shop immediately." Maggie responded in the affirmative and terminated the call. Maggie walked into the DEO command center and saw the havoc on the screens. She stepped next to J'onn " what's happening." J'onn looked at Maggie with a grim look on his face " Some of most dangerous opponents have attacked various locations around the city and are engaged in fights with Kara and the others. The Phantasm and She-Bat are fighting Kate and Pam at the Garcia community center after Sam's political rally, Magneta and Morgana Le fay are fighting Livewire and Tala at the radio station, Dr Doom and Blight are fighting at Diana's gallery with Diana and Kiara, and Lena and Kara are fighting Doc Oak and Carnage on the Lillian Wayne bridge." Maggie looked at J'onn " So Alex is out there and she went straight for Kara." J'onn nodded " it looks that way i am putting teams together to support." Maggie nodded " I just got off the phone with my Deputy commissioner and we dispatched our tactical heavy units and to ask the mayor for national guard units to assist. Are they working together and why did they decide to attack like this?" J'onn had a theory about this " I think are greatest villains have decided to team up to defeat the sirens. In the past it was just one of them against the team and to many of their credit they did well but they all in the end lost. So now they have joined forces and on a day like this with everyone distracted with the election they have us divided so they are not fighting the whole team." Maggie understood what J'onn was saying; it was a sort of divide and conquer." Maggie was broken out of her thoughts " it's up to Kara and the others to try and put a stop to this." Maggie did agree with what J'onn was saying it was up to Kara and the team to stop them."

On the bridge Carnage was sparring with Kara. It was clear that Alex was trying to limit Kara's chances to hit her with a sonic attack of some type, and she did this by keeping Kara on the defensive. Since the last time Carnage had made her stronger and some would say she had equal strength as Kara. Alex was also trying to play mind games with Kara " Oh look at poor goody goody Kara. How does it feel to be fighting something that has the same strength as you if not more. I lived in your shadow for years everyone always protected and treated you special because of your powers." Kara did not want to hurt Alex; she knew her sister was still in there. " Alex, I know you're still in there. I know this is all the symbiote I know the real Alex Danvers is still in there. You have to fight it." Carnage gave that sadistic smile baring all of its razor sharp teeth `` Typical Kara always trying to save everyone, even the villains." carnage receded revealing Alex's face " Oh Kara why would i try to fight it. We have never been this powerful, and we are tired of living in the shadows of everyone. Do you know the agony it was to see people like Jimmy and Mon-El squander their powers or abilities. Yet know one stood up when they became heroes yet when we do everyone stands in my way. Well we are sick of it, and it's time we show the world if you don't want Alex Danvers to be a hero than it's time I show this city a true villain, one that not even the great and powerful supergirl can stop." Before Kara knew it, Carnage took hold again and began to strike at Kara again with even more prejudice than before if that was even possible. Lena was fighting Octavia. She used one of her Metal tentacles to grab a nearby car and launch it at Lena. Lena braced herself for the impact and caught the car sliding backward till she was to stop the momentum. Lena saw that there was a family of four in the car and quickly moved to get them out of the car before Octavia could strike again. Lena rips the door off the car and gets the people telling them to run to safety. As Lena again turned her attention to Octavia one of the tentacles grabbed and slammed her into a nearby car and then tossed her into a semi truck container. Octavia approached " Oh Lena, I should have killed you when I had the chance months ago. You have no idea every time you came to visit when i was in prison about how i would kill you crushing your skull like a grape and peeling you like an onion were my favorite.'' Four metallic arms pierced the top of the truck and Lena climbed out " I was the only one that didn't treat you like a criminal, Octavia the only one that stood by you while your friends and family abandoned you for almost destroying the city. I can see all that was a waste of time, and now I am going to kick your little ass." Octavia surveyed the four arms and looked a little impressed. Lena lunged at Octavia and the both of them engaged in a heated exchange of strikes. Lena used her agility to dodge the strikes and then avoided being sandwiched in between two cars jumping on the freeway sign above. Octavia followed right behind. Lena was quick to send some repulser shots which Octavia used her tentacles to parry away. Lena then tried to take flight but was quickly caught in midair by Octavia who then had her suspended in the air and used her tentacle to grab a near news helicopter and pulled it close so the propeller could decapitate. Lena used her chest unibeam and hit Octavia directly in the chest destroying the freeway sign and sending her into the car below releasing Lena. Lena went to try and help Kara fight Carnage. Before she could Octavia recovered and grabbed a steel girder off a nearby truck and crushed a car. Lena dodged Octavia's strikes. Octavia grabbed the same girder and swung it at Lena just barely missing Lena and smashing another car, but on the follow up Octavia hit Lena with the girder. Before Lena could regain her composure, Octavia launched another car at her hitting. Lena was now concerned at the damage level of the suit. Octavia threw another car, but this time Lena took flight and the car crashed into a barrier. Lena then used her wrist missile taking out the ground underneath Octavia. Lena goes under the bridge to see what happened to Octavia. Octavia was nowhere to be found, but as Lena turned to fly to help Kara once again she was ambushed from behind. Octavia grabbed her and slammed her through the bottom of the bridge. The situation was quickly deteriorating as the suit was at 75% damage. She knew that she could not take much more damage or major systems would start to fail. She turned to Kara who was not fairing well either. Lena was worried that Kara would pull her punches against Alex and would not make the hard choice. Lena launched a sonic device she had developed to fight Carnage just in case Kara wouldn't. Lena in a last ditch effort launched the device right before Octavia began swinging Lena around like a rag doll. The device landed right next to Carnage, but before Carnage could do anything the device went off letting out a sonic boom that immobilized Carnage causing the creature to shriek in pain and agony. Kara looked at Lena and saw the state of her armor and knew that the situation was dyer. Kara knew she needed to save her sister, but she needed to save her girlfriend right now, and with Carnage paralyzed in pain Kara unloaded some strikes rocking the symbiote and then with one major kick to the chest sent the symbiote flying and crashing into Octavia causing her to release Lena and sending both Villains off the bridge. When kara reached Lena she saw that the Iron maiden armor was in the worst state she had ever seen it in " Lena are you okay are you hurt?" Lena gingerly got up " yes kara i am fine maybe a few bruises, but i am doing better than the suit i am up to 88% damage." Kara left Lena sitting on the hood of a car and went to go see what had happened to Alex and Octavia, and to no one's surprise when she looked they were both nowhere to be found.

At Diana's gallery Kiara and Diana were ready for a fight, and they both knew it was going to be tough with Blight and Dr Doom in front of them. Diana used Triam to send a bolt of lightning at the evil pair but Doom quickly sent one of her own, both meeting in the middle causing a massive flash of light. Before the bright light subsided both Diana and Kiara charged at their respective opponents. For as strong as Blight was in terms of power she knew in a fist fight with Overgirl she had no chance. So the only way was to try and be as quick as possible and try and keep Overgirl away which was easier said than done. Kiara was using all her abilities to strike a decisive blow on blight, but the radioactive villain had to have some guardian angel looking over her shoulder because she is just able to evade the shots. Kiara readied her heat vision, and sent a powerful red beam at the green villain, but to her surprise Blight responded in kind. Both attacks again caused another flash of light and this gave Blight the opportunity to get some offense finally. She ignited her hands and send powerful balls of radiation at the Kryptonian. Kiara, unaware of the strike, was struck by three powerful shots stunning her by the strength, and the crippling effects. Kiara did not realize that Blight had charged right at her and before she knew it Blight struck her in the chest and sent wave after wave of nuclear energy into her. It was a pain Kiara had never felt before an excruciating state of continuous agony. It was almost like all her strength had abandoned her the longer the attack lasted. Blight had released her and she fell to her knees. Kiara, ever defiant got to one knee and tried to strike the villain but in her weakened state the shot was slow and easily stopped as Blight caught the hand and again zapped Overgirl with waves of radiation. After the second dose Blight picked Overgirls chin up so they are looking right at each other and without warning blight charges up her fist and strikes the weakened Kryptonian in the chest sending her crashing into the ceiling and crashing down on the floor again. Blight was in control of this fight, but across the room Diana and Doom and locked in an even fight with neither of them finding an opening. In terms of their respective electrical powers they are evenly matched. Diana knew that Dr Doom is not your average criminal; she is a dangerous, powerful, intelligent supervillain who by herself represents one of the team's biggest threats and most dangerous enemies. Things were not made any easier when Diana saw Kiara struggling even more against Blight. Diana had never seen her girlfriend in such a state, but it seems that not even a Kryptonian was immune to the heavy doses of radiation that emanated from Blight. It was clear that the villains were getting the upper hand in the fight, and that Diana and Kiara needed to come up with something quick. Ever the opportunist Victoria used the momentary break In Diana's concentration and struck the amazon with a bolt of electricity right in the chest sending her flying threw the walls landing outside in the street Victoria steps out of the whole left in the wall onto the street " oh Diana you have no idea how much i have been looking forward to this to defeat you and then end your life, but i think a much better idea is to kill your little girlfriend in there and then when all hope is lost then you have my permission to die" Diana heard the evil monologue and felt an anger build in her core that she never felt before. Her hands started to tremble and small little arcs of electricity started to emerge from her fingers. She sensed the villain right on top of her, and balled her hand into a fist and without warning swung at the villain with all her fury striking her dead center in the chest sending the villain flying. Diana got to her feet and raised Triam and threw the hammer with all the prejudice she could muster. Victoria barely had a chance to react and got out of the direct path of the attack taking the shot on the shoulder staggering her. Triam returned to Diana's hands and readied herself for battle. Doom started to charge her and she responded in kind. Doom took a ferial strike at Diana which the Amazon dodged easily and struck the villain with Triam again. Diana grabbed her shield and launched it at Doom which the villain deflected, but then she threw Triam striking the shield sending the hammer right into the back of the villain and making the shield come back to Diana while she summoned Triam to her. Diana then started unloading fierce combinations with both putting the villain on her heels and then charged Triam and sent an arc of electricity at the villain taking her off her feet. Diana then charged Triam again and lifted it towards the heavens and then brought it to the ground and from the sky came a furious bolt of energy that struck Doom. Victoria could do nothing as the tables of the battle had won as she struggled to get to her feet. Before she could compose herself Diana was on her again and grabbed her by the neck lifted her up and choke slammed her into the ground evacuating all the oxygen she had in her lungs. Diana refused to give her an respite completely taken over by her rage and started unloading strike after strike with her bare hand not giving any notice to the damage she was doing to her knuckles which were now bloody and shredded. Doom's mask started to cave in and warp with every strike. Diana stopped and pulled Doom to her feet. The once formidable villain was now struggling to stay on her feet, and was a shell of the cocky villain she was just a few minutes ago. Diana summoned all the power that she could into one massive punch and hit the defeated villain in the chest sending her flying back into the building. Inside Blight was getting ready for what she thought would be the coupe d'état not knowing how it was going outside between Wonder Woman and Doom, but before she knew it something caught her eye in her periphery. Before she could turn the body of Doom crashed into her side sending both of them crashing into another wall putting them into the next room. Blight quickly composed herself and saw Doom in a very bad state which could only mean one thing. Before she could say anything she heard a voice " you have two choices you can take her and run and fight another day or i will kill you both." Danielle looked at Wonder Woman eyes snow white with electricity bursting out of them with Triam in one hand and her shield in another ready for another fight. Blight looked down at Victoria and knew that this round was over and decided before neither of them walked out of here to pick up Doom put her arm over her shoulder and started to walk away as quickly as she could. With the villain retreating Diana turned her attention to Kiara and ran to her side. Kiara was not in good shape, but to Diana's relief Kiara started to regain her strength now that Blight was gone and she was not getting blasted with radioactivity. Diana did not want to risk and scoped Kiara up in her arms to get her to the DEO for treatment.

At the radio station Tala and Leslie have Magneta and Morgan Le Fey rearing for a fight. Leslie had to be honest with herself that she wished she would never see Magneta again considering that the only reason they beat the mistress of magnetism, and to add to that one of the most powerful sorceresses in history, and they had no way of calling for help from the team or DEO. Tala and her were on their own and this was not going to be easy at all. Without warning magenta used her powers on some of the metallic debris around them and sent it right towards the two heroines. Before any of them could make contact Tala erected a barrier in front of them which disintegrated the debris turning it into dust. With that the fight was on Tala fired Bursts of magic at Morgan who responded in kind. Magenta again send another wave of debris at Leslie and this time Leslie used her electro magnetic powers to stop the debris leaving it suspended in the air with both having a vicious tug of war with neither of them backing down. Leslie knew her powers could never compete with Magneta who was more powerful and obviously had way more practice and experience using it, but her best hope was to try and keep the magnetic villain at bay long enough to get a shot it herself. However Magneta was not going to make the same mistakes twice and would not be as overconfident as their first battle and would use everything at her disposal to win. As the tug of war between her and Livewire continued Erica used a metal garbage can beneath a desk to livewires right to take Livewire legs out right from under her dropping her grip on the debris. Leslie was barely able to dodge the debris before it pancaked her. Leslie then used her electric powers to send arcs of electricity at Magenta from all direction. The villain used ever piece of debris she could to block the attacks, but while she was distracted with those attacks she did not notice the vending machine that Livewire sent her way which struck true knocking the villain out of the sky. Magenta staggers to get to her feet " i see you have improved your skills since the last fight. You may not have to rely on luck this time to beat me." outside of the station Tala and Morgan were also locked in a bitter duel " look at what you have become Morgan once so formidable now using petty magical trinkets to bolster your power." It was clear that even with the talismans that she had acquired Morgan was still not strong enough to beat Tala. Morgan sent rocks, trees, cars just about everything that she could use to strike Tala slice the projectiles like a blow torch threw butter. Tala would redirect her attack right back at her and send bursts of magic at her as well. It seemed everything that Morgan could come up with Tala had a response to it. Tala had finally had enough of this game in a way their first fight she held back out of respect for the past that she had with Morgan, but now she can see that Morgan will not back down unless Tala does not hold back. As Morgan prepares to charge an attack Tala uses her power and the pipes underneath the ground come alive like snakes and pop from the ground and begin to wrap themselves around Morgan " i tire of this game Morgan i didn't end you in our first encounter out of respect, but you leave me little choice in your pursuit of revenge and destruction." the pipes began to tighten more and more on Morgan like a python or constrictor snake not allowing her to use her magic till even breathing was becoming more and more difficult. Morgan felt her vision go blurry till she could no longer resist the embrace of the darkness as she passed out. Inside the studio Leslie was trying to avoid magenta's attacks as best that she could. Eventually Leslie's luck runs out and she trips on a random piece of debris. She was now at Magneta's mercy " I will give you credit blondie you did much better then the last time. You actually made me break a sweat. However funs over and now you die." As Magneta finished her threatening monologue pieces of serrated metal debris started to rise off the ground in a threatening manner. Before Magneta can deal the death blow she hears someone speak " excuse me i think this belongs to you." Magenta turns just in time to see Tala floating there was an unconscious Morgan Le fay, and Tala throws Morgans motionless body hitting her dead on. Magneta appraised her new situation it was the scenario she geared the most. That Morgan was no match for Tala again and she would have to fight both the sorceress and Livewire a fight that even with her powers she was not prepared for. Magenta needed to think of something fast before they were both done. She saw the best opportunity for a distraction. A group of people from the studio where standing outside away from the fight beneath the radio tower. She extended her hand and used her powers the metal at the base of the tower started to crumble ad the tower began to wane, and began to fall in the direction of the people. The next thing Leslie and tala heard was the screams of the crowd as the tower fell towards them. " its time to choose heroes stop us or save the crowd of people." Tala and Leslie looked at each other they knew what they needed to do even if it did mean they let to powerful villains get away. Tala and Livewire went to save the crowd giving Magneta the opportunity to get her and Morgan out of there. When Livewire and Tala returned both were gone as expected. What they did know is from what they had heard from the crowd this was not the only attack, and they knew they needed to get to the DEO to see what was happening.

At the Anthony Garcia center the Phantasm and She Bat ready to fight against Kate and ivy. They had sent Ruby and a defiant Sam who wanted to stay and fight with them, and while that would give them a tremendous advantage it was best to get Ruby away from the danger as quick as possible. Ivy had summoned some plants from the surrounding area for reinforcement. Kate always had some gadgets on her for just such a situation. From Kate's sleeves emerged a sharp tungsten blade fashioned in a way like the blade that the Phantasm has, and on the other arm Kate had a defense weapon reminiscent of her bat outfit except these are made of tungsten as well and can be used as defense and offense by becoming projectiles if fired, but not even Kate was prepared for this type of fight so she will have to playing this one of the seat of her pants. The villains made the first and with a loud screech She-Bat makes the first move and lunged at Ivy. Ivy was quick to dodge the attack and the subsequent follow up shots. While Kate was distracted the phantasm took her chance and took a strike and Kate was barely able to catch the shot with her gauntlet. Kate then followed up with one of her own which the Phantasm dodged and pulled away. Both woman took offensive fighting positions and they went at it both trying to impale the other as well as using their wide range of martial arts skills, but both were evenly matched. Pam was having trouble with She-Bat but Pam realized quickly that She-bat had no real technique about it. Francine was smart but not a fighter by any means it was one of the reasons for her becoming She-bat, but even in the She-Bat form the lack of fighting experience was evident just relying on her strength. Ivy looked around to try and form a plan. She saw the curtains on the stage and got a great idea to try and turn the tides of the fight. It was going to be risky and it needed to be timed perfectly or it could be curtains for her. She positioned herself in front of the wall and waited for the flying villain to commit to dive. She-Bat saw Ivy against the wall and then started to go for the kill dive. Ivy saw the moment as She-Bat started to dive, and looked ready to put her plan into motion. She-Bat was mere feet away from Ivy making her sure that the creature could not pull out of the attack, and she ran towards the creature and as the bat went to swing at her she slid hands first on the ground with a slide that would make many MLB players jealous letting the creature pass right over her. She-Bat could not stop all the momentum and with a sickening thud crashed into the wall. Ivy then ran for the stage and hopped on without even needing to break stride. She pulled the curtains down and turned around as she-bat climbed out of the whole in the wall and shuck the daze away. The creature quickly came back to it and locked eyes with Ivy clearly even more upset made evident by the loud roar that came from the creature. She-Bat took flight once more going straight for Ivy who then held the curtain up much like a matador who was waiting for the charging bull. Ivy then again used her speed to jump out of the way letting She-bat fly right into the curtains getting tangled up in the curtains. This was ivy chance, and she quickly jumped on the struggling creature. She-Bat started to buck like a raging bull, and took flight into the air with Ivy on its back. Ivy held on for dear life at that point, and found it within herself and grabbed She-bats ears much like an experienced rider would grabbing the reigns, and gained control quickly. Ivy looked on the ground and saw the Phantasm having Kate in a bad position. She steered She-Bat and flew right towards them with vicious intent. On the ground the Phantasm had Kate right wer she wanted her with the tip of her blade mere centimeters from impaling Kate in the Kate and the Phantasm were broken from the struggle by the incoming screech. The Phantasm looked up and to her horror she saw She-bat coming right at her. She had no time to react before the bat crashed into her wiping them both out. Ivy had managed to jump of right before the crash rolling on the floor. Ivy helped kate to her feet looking at the now unconscious, but before either could do anything the fog of the Phantasm came in quickly and covered the both of them. As the fog cleared both the villains were gone. Both the red heads looked at each other and went t leave to make their way to the DEO because something was telling them this was not an isolated incident.

At the DEO Maggie looked upon the city in distress, and had a pit deep in her stomach seeing the plumes of smoke rising across the city. Her crisis team was down stairs coordinating her directives. From what they know so far this was a coordinated strike against the team trying to divide them. From the sound of it there was no loss of life to her relief. J'onn came up behind her " are you alright?" Maggie turned to J'onn " no i am not okay my city is on fire. A city i took an oath to protect a city that for the past few months I have been asking them for their vote, and look. My friends are out there fighting for their lives. So J'onn I am the furthest thing from alright right now." Maggie took a breath. " Do we know about anyone yet." J'onn nodded his head affirmatively " it looks like the fights are over, and they fought the villains back. Diana is bringing Kiara here for treatment. They should all be here in a bit. A few minutes after J'onn left Maggie she heard commotion down stairs and saw that it was Diana carrying Kiara bridal style. The medical team met them and Diana put a clearly annoyed Kiara on the stretcher and they took her to observation. Maggie goes to Diana " You okay?" Diana looked at Maggie " I have been better they ambushed us at my gallery Doom and Blight." Maggie nodded " Diana you know what this means right. For them to be this tactical and for them to know exactly how and where to hit us. They know the team's identities. These past few months Victoria has been building a team of her own specifically for this moment." Diana gave Maggie a grave look " Are you hinting at what i think you're hinting at?" Maggie followed up" It makes sense Diana as much as i hate to say it who else knows all of your identities, where you might be. I think Alex joined Victoria and her team and she is feeding them information. That's one of the reasons for the higher than usual security here because there is every reason to believe the DEO will be a target for them." Diana turned away processing what Maggie had said and she had to admit the day's events would suggest that Maggie's conclusions are correct and that Alex joined Victoria Von Doom and her team of villains." Before they could continue Kara had arrived with Lena and her battle suit looking the worst she had probably ever seen it after a fight. She was actually surprised that Lena was able to make it here on her own power. What was really telling however was the look of sadness and dejection on Kara's face which all but confirmed for Maggie that Alex was involved with all the attacks on the city " Was it Alex?" Those three simple words caused a teary eyed Kara to look up and simply give a weak nod of affirmation. Kara left them to be alone to contemplate that her sister, the woman she has loved for years, the same woman who protected her and was always there for her, was now a sadistic villain. Lena's suit was so damaged they needed to manually remove the suit. In that time the whole team had arrived thankfully only with minor bruises and cuts. However Maggie noticed something that she never noticed before looking at the team. Despite winning the fights their confidence had taken a massive hit. From the sound of it many of them just barely got away with with victory, and if the case of Kara the Alex situation loomed the highest. This team that was normally a little proud and a little arrogant you would almost think by the look of them that they actually lost the fight. The next course of action evaded them some wanted to strike Victoria and her team right back at the Latvarian embassy, but others wanted to stand down and try to avoid another major fight. Maggie how ever knew that another fight was all but inevitable the question is how soon and where. A few hours later they were all in the command center waiting for the debrief. What was supposed to be a celebratory evening was now one of unease and despair. Baker had informed Maggie that she had won the election in a landslide with 68% of the vote compared to her nearest rival councilman Reeves with 18%. While Maggie should be happy that she had won by 50 points after the day's events she had to admit that the thought of resigning did cross her mind. J'onn joined the group in the control center. The day had been just as hard for the Martian as everyone in this room, but he needed to lead right now in their darkest hour " I know the past few hours have been hard for all of us. Even though we won the day it still feels like we lost because some of our greatest enemies took the fight to us for the first time, and for the first time public lives merged with are private lives something none of us thought would happen. However after what happened today the scenario many of us thought was impossible has become possible and our greatest villains have joined forces to beat us. It is ironic really because it was Alex who saw this coming and had concerns about it. Now I know all of us here wanted to believe that we could save Alex, but given how Victoria and her team attacked us it's clear that Alex is the one that gave them all the information about how and where to hit us. It is safe to assume that the villains know are secret identities as well so going home is not a good idea. To that end I propose that we all stay here at the DEO where we have more control, and they can't take us by surprise again. I don't think I have to say this but it's clear that they will strike again, and we have to be ready when they do. For now the only good thing I can tell you is that despite how severe the attack was, no one was killed or seriously hurt and that is a testament to everyone in this room and the DEO agents and police officers that worked together in concert to keep everyone safe from harm.

Maggie was in the back listening to J'onn speak leaning in the door way, when one of her staff came up to her to inform her of something. It seems that the media fed across all the channels was being hijacked and what was broadcast was something that she needed to see. When she saw what it was she stepped in and interpreted J'onn " J'onn there is something you all have to see." Maggie instructed the agent near her to put the video on screen, and stepped next to J'onn. I just got informed that someone hijacked the airwaves and is playing this video . The video popped up on the screen and started playing. On the screen was Victoria being flanked by all the members of her diabolical coalition " people of National City please attend. For years now this city has seen the rise of this so-called golden age of heroes. For years they fault common criminals and mobsters and you all thought that made them great and worthy of your worship. However these Sirens have been defeated by their own success and victory, but they have never faced a group of villains willing to fight them tooth and nail, and will take the fight to them on their turf. Today that ended and this group of villains planned to give this city a better class of criminal and to show the sirens what it is to have a villain go toe to toe with them. Each woman standing behind me has taken the sirens to the limit, and now together we will destroy the sirens as this city watches their heroes fall. This city got a taste of our collective power. Tomorrow at noon we will be at the steps of city hall, and we challenge the Siren if they dare, and If they do not show themselves than the city will feel their collective wrath.`` With that the message ended everyone looked at each other. Victoria had thrown the gauntlet down in front of the whole city and this was no idle threat. Diana now stood up and looked at the team. Diana took a minute. She knew this team needed a kick in the ass after today, but the city needed them now more than ever. " I know a lot of us are shell shocked after what happened today. Before today we were proud and arrogant and defeated everyone we faced. Now these villains know who we are. They have attacked us where we thought we were safe, but they showed us anything is possible. When we created the Sirens it was to protect National City, and right now the worst threat National City has ever faced is at the gates, and we need to protect the city or die trying. Now I can't ask you all to join me, but I am going to city hall and i am going to fight to defend my city, and show the city the heroes we are." with that Diana stepped out of the room to ready for the coming battle. Everyone looked at each other knowing that Diana was right they can't be afraid right now they needed to fight like they always had. One by one they all got up and went to follow to prepare for the battle of their lives.
