A.N. — I had two empty canon days in a row today and tomorrow, and I did not stick a pair here! There's so many of them already, so I went back to another fallback of mine: obscure characters. I'd done a first sorted; now here's the view of a last sorted.
259. Rose Zeller
Rose was used to waiting.
Due to her last name starting with 'Z,' she was accustomed to being last. Hogwarts was proving no different. And while she was waiting to be sorted, Rose pondered her first name instead.
The magical world held many famous people with flower names like her. The school's nurse was Poppy, one of its Head Girls (not to mention a war hero and Harry Potter's mum!) was Lily, and Fleur had been a Triwizard competitor.
Of course, not all flowers were sweet. Rose, after the Hat placed her in Hufflepuff, discovered the resident Pansy had thorns.
