265. Alecto Carrow
Her brother had the more sinister reputation, but Alecto Carrow's period as co-Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts was changing that opinion.
She wasn't quite as unhinged as Bellatrix, or as bloodthirsty as Macnair. What Alecto had was a cold cruelty one crossed at their own peril. She enjoyed causing wanton suffering, basking in pained screams, a lesson she'd learned early. Amycus and her had fought throughout their youth, and that dysfunctional family dynamic had warped Alecto's psyche.
With her well-being so often shunted aside, she had no problem reacting in kind. Amycus was a dull scalpel; Alecto was a jagged hacksaw.
