A.N. — I did three straight adults, so it's back to the kids. This one is a member of Dumbledore's Army, a subject which will be covered multiple times in the coming weeks. Thankfully, he's also connected to folks I covered last week so I don't have to focus on the DA here.

271. Michael Corner

It wasn't the smartest of choices, defying the Carrows. But Michael Corner knew it was the right action.

Ravenclaws normally got on the best with Slytherins in any given year. But with Voldemort running Hogwarts by proxy, the snakes openly flaunted their power, and the eagles stayed in their own roost. Michael was an exception, regularly escaping the airy (yet stifling) Ravenclaw common room to run guerilla operations against the school's administration.

The DA had taught him well; Michael took the group's camaraderie to heart. He'd also learned to deal with painful curses — pressingly pertinent when the Carrows caught him.
