A.N. — Today is Harry's very first quidditch practice, apparently. All his teammates are covered (or will be) elsewhere, so have a professional player of the sport instead. Gotta fit these missing national team members in somewhere, after all!

272. Lev Zograf

Lev Zograf was a bundle of contradictions.

His first name meant 'lion' in Russian, and Lev did roar when directing players while perched in front of the goalposts. Lev also was Bulgaria's currency, and Zograf was famously frugal with his. Even after victories, Lev never bought a round for his teammates.

Zograf had keeper skills in spades, but a tightly wound personality won him few fans. He made the Bulgarian National Team on merit, though rumors of an illicit deal dogged him. So, it broke no-one but the bettor's hearts when he conceded 17 goals at the World Cup final.
