A.N. — Welcome to October! You'd think this spooky month would have a lot of Slytherins, but that's not totally the case. After today's snake (the second in a row, BTW), I have a further half-dozen or so planned for October, and three more in early November. Today's character was chosen to honor the actor's birthday.
274. Blaise Zabini
He got on well with the rest of his house, but the rest of the school barely knew Blaise Zabini.
There was a running joke in the Slytherin common room that the other students only knew Blaise's name, and that they debated amongst themselves whether Blaise was a boy or girl. Blaise brushed it off, just like he blithely ignored anything or anyone he felt was beneath him. Just because he had a rapport with his housemates didn't mean he viewed them as equals. Blaise cultivated relationships the way others grew plants: to later pick the fruits of their labors.
