Chapter 61
Jorah was panting heavily as he felt his body slowly going limp beneath Daenerys. He was happy to see that she was panting softly as well. It felt as if they had been fucking every spare moment of the day. They were intent to keep up this pace for two full months. By then they would know if the spy had told the truth or not about poisoning them.
He reached out to pull her close and kiss her temple tenderly. "I never realized how insatiable you are, Daenerys." he teased.
Daenerys giggled softly at that. "I did not fully realize how much you enjoy being commanded."
Jorah smirked at that. "I only enjoy it when you command me my love. Anything you desire, I will do."
Daenerys tilted a brow to him at those words. "I feel a bit messy...clean me up with your mouth." She said as she pressed down on one of his shoulders to encourage him to move down.
Jorah laughed at that before shifting as she desired. "As you wish, my Queen." He had no problem shifting between her legs and beginning to lick her over slowly. He would diligently work on cleaning her up with his tongue. He was careful to make certain that he cleaned every inch of her sweet folds. He did not want to disappoint her by leaving even the smallest of messes upon her fair skin.
...
Hannibal smiled as he wished his children good night and shut the sliding partition between their room and the room Hannibal and Margaery would now be occupying. Hannibal smirked as he turned to look over Margaery slowly as his eyes filled with pride and arousal.
"You look quite ravishing with that crown upon your head my dear." He said as he approached her before pulling her in tight and kissing her deeply.
Margaery had a smirk on her face and she stood taller to accentuate her figure even more for him. She found herself only slightly surprised when he pulled her in close and kissed her so deeply. She sighed softly into the kiss before pulling back and looking into his eyes with a playful fire in them. "We had a wager that begins tonight." She reminded him.
A smirk crossed Hannibal's face as he took in her posture and the light in her eyes. "We did indeed, my Queen. I will let you go first. You may start the sand when you are ready to begin."
They had made a wager concerning their ability to manipulate each other into action. There was a large bucket with sand in it. There was an empty bucket beneath it to catch the falling sand. The lower bucket would be moved out to end the time. They would do this tomorrow night as well for Hannibal's round. Each of their buckets would be weighed, the person with the lighter bucket would be the winner.
Hannibal removed his cloak and sat in the center of the low bench at the foot of the bed next to the buckets. He then watched Margaery to see what she had in mind to prompt him into action.
…
Obara was patrolling the top of the Red Keep to take a look at the two prisoners. She looked up at Cersei and sneered as she looked upon her face. She saw how dead her eyes were and laughed in Cersei's face. She spat upon what remained of the dethroned queen. "I hope your body rots away, but you remain alive for weeks. I want the crows to pick you apart piece by piece as you slowly roast up here. Your legacy has ended in utter ruin and your house has been destroyed. There will never be another Lannister listed in the history books."
Obara made her way slowly to the northern entrance gate to the city. She was expecting a certain party to arrive at this gate. She climbed to the lower wall above the gate and glanced beyond the wall into the darkness.
She looked at one of the newest city watchman that was guarding this gate. "Have you seen any signs that travelers are approaching?"
He nodded his head. "Yes, we saw what appeared to be a small campfire burning earlier tonight. I suspect it burned out while the travelers slept."
Obara gave a nod of her head. "When you can see them approaching, wake me." She said as she found a spot on the wall to sit down against and close her eyes for a few minutes.
...
Sansa was smiling widely when she found Thomas. There was a message in her hand. "I am officially an unmarried woman and I have been given the opportunity to be Warden of the North! Our new King has voided my prior marriage, saying that they were forced upon me by a malicious family and it was entirely against my will."
Thomas smiled as he stopped sharpening his blade and moved to hug Sansa tight. He then kissed her deeply. "Now, we are free to marry. Shall I arrange it for tonight?" He teased lightly.
Sansa happily returned the kiss. She lightly swatted his shoulder at his jest. "I do want my brother and cousin here. We can make the preparations, but I want them to be here. I also want to invite the King and Queen. We do owe them that at least for giving us this opportunity."
Thomas chuckled at her response and nodded his head in agreement. "I agree. I will-" He paused as a smile crossed his face. "You can send a raven inviting them personally. There is no need for you to hide that you are here now. We can raise the Stark banners once again so that the North knows that a Stark resides in Winterfell once more."
Sansa's smile brightened further as she nodded her head in agreement. "Let us raise the banners now. I am glad that I do not have to stay hidden away so much anymore." She paused for a moment. "Will I have to go in person to the capital in order to accept being a Warden?"
Thomas had to think about her question for a few moments as he recalled the history he was taught. "I do not think it is necessary to go in-person to accept. However, you will be required to go at some point for a meeting with the other Wardens."
She nodded her head in understanding and relief. "Good, I am not very motivated to travel south again."
Thomas hugged her tighter and kissed her temple tenderly. "I promise to protect you from those dark times ever happening again, Sansa." he promised.
Sansa curled into the hug and closed her eyes as she felt the comfort of his strong arms around her. She smiled softly as she nuzzled her head beneath his chin. "Thank you."
...
Alliser Thorne frowned as he looked over the messages the most recent ravens had delivered. Apparently there was a new King in the realm, a man he had not heard of before. The only statement on the message that he hoped was true was the promise of more men for The Wall, not just rapists and thieves. He put the piece of paper down after a long moment.
Today was the day of the vote for a new Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. Ever since that bastard stood up and walked out of Castle Black, his claim to be the new Lord Commander was not as strong as it had been. That bastard's friend had made a good argument for himself. Alliser grew more cross with each passing day at the thought of losing the vote a second time.
Chapter 62
Ellaria yawned once again, but kept herself awake. It was up to her to maintain order during this punishment she had volunteered to oversee. She had accepted the generous offer of being Warden of the South and was proud that her youngest daughter had been given a seat on the King's Small Council. She was also aware that Obara had been given a high honor as well. Obara was now one of the King's secret assassins. She no longer doubted how strong Dorne would remain during this new King's reign. Her people would flourish under his rule.
Ellaria looked out over the arena and saw that fewer people seemed to be coming in now. Most were already in the seats watching. Two hours prior to sunset, she told the heralds to make the following announcement:
The arena must empty. The final justice will be dealt at the main gate of the Red Keep. If you wish to observe the King's Justice, gather around the main gate before the sun goes down.
Ellaria watched as the seated crowd slowly began to move. She watched as the arena emptied entirely just as four guards arrived to collect the bodies. First they poured buckets of water over the pair of them to clean them off. With how they screamed and the steam that came off of their bodies, the water must have been boiling hot.
Ellaria gave a nod to Obara as they made their way back inside and out to the balcony for those of the new inner circle to sit and observe. There was a stage built between the two towers that made up the entrance to the Red Keep. She was determined to stay awake until after the punishment was over.
...
Yara was inspecting her ships carefully and beginning preparations to travel. King Hannibal had told her to be prepared to travel to Essos at dawn. She had her crews putting plenty of extra provisions on the boats to ensure they would have plenty to make the journey and back. She knew she was going to speak with the Dragon Queen.
She had been given direct instructions on what her goals were in her task of representing him with the message he would be sending by raven to Essos ahead of her. She was to set sail and watch for the raven. The color of the raven would tell her which of her two missions she would need to carry out.
...
Hannibal led Margaery out on his arm towards the stage. All three of their children were with Olenna and the Small Council on the balcony overlooking the stage. He did not want the three children on the stage. He was wearing dark black leather with hints of red in the fabric. Margaery stood tall next to Hannibal and was clad in a dark red gown with black leather detail work and a leather corset. They went up to the stage where the eight guards had the naked and broken Lannisters waiting.
Hannibal looked out at the massive crowd and held his hand out to quiet them down after they had cheered for a few moments. "I want to begin by thanking all of you who were brave enough to assist in removing the pride of these two traitors. Now it is time for justice to be given." He picked up a flaying knife for all to see. "Which traitor should be stripped of their hide first?" He asked the crowd.
The crowd immediately began chanting Cersei's name.
Hannibal smirked as four guards moved to drag Cersei to the center of the stage. Each man held a limb out to make the flaying easier. They had special gloves on that would allow them to grip her even after her skin was removed. Once Cersei was in place, Hannibal passed the blade to Margaery.
The crowd cheered wildly as the knife was passed to their new Queen. They shouted praises for Margaery and taunts to Cersei.
Margaery smirked in triumph as she approached the trembling and broken Cersei Lannister. She started around the neck with her cuts. She enjoyed the scream she heard as she continued to make her cuts with near-expert precision. Margaery was going to take her time to make certain she peeled the skin in one full piece. This hide was going to make half of the rug in front of the Iron Throne, after all.
Hannibal watched with pride as Margaery began to flay Cersei. She had learned well from the flaying lessons he had given her. He waited for her to have Cersei flayed from her neck to her navel before he had the other four guards move Jaime into the same position. Hannibal picked up a second knife and began to flay Jaime. He also began at the neck.
The crowd grew louder as the Lannisters screamed in agony. They began to chant and cheer for their King and Queen as they both flayed the traitorous pair.
The Small Council watched the scene with a mixture of emotions. Some were joyous at seeing the Lannisters suffering so greatly. Others felt a bit queasy at the grotesque display. A few felt that the punishment was excessive, but they dare not say anything for fear of suffering the same fate. Rhys and Reina cheered on their parents in excitement.
Arya was standing in a small window above the balcony the Small Council stood upon. She was watching both the Small Council's reactions and the punishment being given out. She was enjoying how much pain Cersei was going through right now, it was very satisfying to watch.
It took nearly thirty minutes for both Lannisters to be fully flayed. Their hides were given to a tanner, who took them to begin the process of tanning the skins.
Olenna watched as her great-grandchildren jumped and cheered their parents on. She saw how they encouraged their parents to punish the enemies. She tilted her head as she recognized the challenge her sweet Margaery had in raising royal children. They were not squeamish about punishment for their enemies, but they were not cruel either. She saw how sweet they were with their dragons and their younger brother. It seemed like they were being raised well so far; she only hoped this would continue.
Both Jaime and Cersei were shaking as their bodies slowly began to shut down from the sheer pain they were feeling. A servant came in to pour freezing water over each of them to prevent them from passing out. The eight guards took them to the towers on either side of the stage. Once they got to the top of the towers, spikes were run through them carefully so as to not kill them immediately. The bottom of the spikes were locked into place for the crows and the gods.
Hannibal motioned up to the pair. "Now it is up to the gods to take them as they please."
The crowd cheered wildly at that and began to chant Hannibal's name in excitement. Hannibal gave the order for guards to make sure no birds killed either Lannister for at least a week. If either of their hearts gave out before that it suited him just fine, but he didn't want a bird to cause their misery to end early.
Hannibal then offered his bloodied hand to Margaery before leading her back inside the Red Keep.
She smiled and placed her own bloodied hand in his to follow him back inside.
There was a large basin of water just inside the main doors to the Red Keep. Hannibal and Margaery stopped at the basin as the order was given to close the doors. They both washed their hands once the doors were shut behind them.
Hannibal looked up as his Small Council arrived just as they finished washing their hands. He looked directly at Willas. "Nothing else is to be done to them. When their hearts give out, they will die. They will no longer be fed or watered. I would be surprised if they are still breathing this time tomorrow."
Willas nodded in understanding. Rhys and Reina came running to hug Hannibal and Margaery. Hannibal ruffled the hair on Rhys' head. "Did the two of you behave while Papa and Mama were working?"
Both nodded their heads excitedly. Olenna came around the corner huffing as she carried Aenar. Margaery went to her grandmother to take the sleeping Aenar from her arms. Olenna had heard the question and shook her head. She muttered under her breath about too much jumping for her taste.
Hannibal looked at his Council. "I am anticipating that our guests from the North will be arriving soon. I want to ensure that they have safe passage to the Small Council chamber, and that plenty of rooms are prepared for them to stay."
Willas bowed his head. "Everything has already been prepared for their arrival."
Hannibal gave a nod of his head as he picked up young Reina, who was silently requesting to be picked up. "Very well. We should all get some sleep tonight. It has been a long day." He said before he began walking with his family towards the royal apartments.
He stopped after they turned a corner as he glanced at his two assassins who were hiding in the shadows just ahead of them. "I want the two of you to be the welcoming party for our guests from the North. I expect them to feel more relaxed with both of you escorting them in." He said before he continued walking with his family to their chambers.
Arya and Obara stepped out of the shadows after the family passed by them. Obara flashed a grin as she looked down at Arya. "I intend to greet them at the outer wall as they enter King's Landing. Will you join me there?"
Arya considered that, but shook her head. "No, I will join you at the gate to the Red Keep."
Obara gave a nod of her head before turning to leave. She was going to head to the gate to the city now, there was an excellent brothel near the northern gate. She wanted some entertainment while she waited for their arrival.
Arya went back to her chamber. She knew that Jon and Bran would attract a lot of attention as they went through the city. She didn't want to wear a mask when she reunited with part of her family. She wanted to be herself.
Chapter 63
It had been two weeks since they left the remains of the Twins. They had stopped just a few hours away from King's Landing for the night. They did not want to enter a newly-conquered city in the dead of night. Everyone seemed uncomfortable with the idea. They would arrive after the sun was up so that the sentries on the wall could clearly mark them, and hopefully they would not be attacked.
Jon lay down close to Bran, but found himself unable to close his eyes and sleep.
Bran could tell Jon was restless and turned his head to look at his cousin. "I know that betrayal is fresh in your memory, but I trust that he will listen and he will believe. Based on what I have seen, he is a very logical and strategic man. He would not turn on us before listening."
Jon turned to look at Bran as he spoke. "Exactly. I'm worried about what he will do after we have talked to him."
Bran sighed as he nodded his head in understanding. "I understand your concern, Jon. However, he is a father and a husband as well as a King. He will not idly ignore a possible threat to his family and realm that could destroy everything he has just gained. I trust him to act in the best interest of his family and his realm. Just like father would have taught him when he lived with us."
Jon listened to Bran speak and realized his cousin was right. Hannibal had learned some of the same lessons from Ned Stark that he had. He gave a nod of his head as he agreed. "Perhaps. Your father was an excellent teacher. Hopefully the lessons this new king learned in Winterfell were taken to heart more than the lessons learned at the Dreadfort."
Bran nodded his head in agreement before they both turned away from each other to drift off to sleep.
…
Edd still could not believe his eyes. He had been sent down to King's Landing to bring back warm, living bodies to guard The Wall.
Behind him now was a train of volunteers nearly 300 strong to take the black!
He only had six men who were prisoners trying to save themselves. These men were desperately needed at Castle Black after all the men lost with Lord Commander Mormont and Lord Commander Snow. He might need another brother to join him next time he ventured to the capital to help manage the caravan of volunteers. They were making good time North, he hoped the weather would be fair as they traveled.
…
Tyrion had gone down to the docks to look over the charred remains of his Queen's fleet. He could tell Varys was nearby and turned to look at the taller man. "He certainly had impeccable timing."
Varys gave a nod of his head, "Yes, quite the clever tactic. I wonder if he was that clever…or if he was told to be that clever."
Tyrion considered that for a moment, "Unfortunately, he got himself killed before we could determine how clever he was."
Varys chuckled, "Another clever move." He paused a moment before continuing. "Tell me…is your sister that clever? I think we can both agree that she is indeed that ruthless, but I wonder if she has the capability of this kind of foresight."
Tyrion paused a moment as he regarded Varys, "I did always consider myself the cleverest of the Lannisters, but Cersei has always had a bit of wit about her. Foresight, that was more my father's gift…I do not think he imparted all of his knowledge to her though." He paused for a moment, "You don't think she sent the man?"
Varys shrugged his shoulders, "Do you think your sister would only send one man to do the tasks this one accomplished? That is a lot of trust to put into a single person, and a large amount of loyalty for the servant to willingly sacrifice himself after completing his mission. I have not known your sister to inspire that level of loyalty with any living being, other than your brother."
Tyrion stroked his beard in thought, "If it wasn't Cersei…who else could have sent him?"
Varys looked out at the remains of the ships. "I would be suspicious of someone offering us ships as the true master behind this plot."
Tyrion gave a nod of his head, "That is a possibility." He sighed deeply. "I think we should keep our suspicions to ourselves for now. I think our Queen is struggling with what he claimed to do to them, we will need more proof before telling her of our suspicions."
Varys gave a nod of his head, "I agree. It is a difficult thing to discover you are suddenly infertile. I am somewhat of an expert on the subject. Let us wait to see if more evidence can be discovered before speaking with her."
Tyrion gave a nod of his head in agreement.
Chapter 64
The Night King was disappointed that so many troops had escaped through the great wall. However, he was confident that he had enough troops to break through The Wall and destroy those who were still living. There was not a living man who could defeat him, his generals were also well-protected by his magic. These men only had fire to defeat his troops, they would make their last stand at the center of The Wall…and die for their efforts.
He was waiting at the giant fist of stone where they had killed the last commander of the men in black. The Night King found the stones that had hidden one weapon that could kill his generals. Kneeling down, he placed his hand on the stone and felt deep into the frozen earth before racing across the icy ground to find any soldiers not with them. He could feel more than 100,000 troops waiting to wake up. Pushing his magic, those soldiers slowly began to rise from beneath the ground, and from the water. He gave a nod and his generals blew horns to signal for all troops to come to them.
The Night King breathed in deeply, he could feel the pull as each soldier began moving towards him. Once all these soldiers arrived, they would begin their march towards the great wall.
…
Sansa had been beside herself once Rickon had returned. She had felt happy knowing that more of her lost siblings had returned home safely. Now Arya was the only Stark child still missing. Sansa did hope that her sister would turn up one day. She was missing the company of another woman...even if it was Arya.
...
Missandei had just returned the young princess to her parents and was walking slowly back to her own room. Her face was filled with worry as she made her way back to her chambers.
Grey Worm was patrolling the hallways as he always did when he saw Missandei. The look on her face worried him. He walked towards her and checked the area around them to see if there was an enemy nearby. "What is wrong? Did you see enemy?"
Missandei was a bit startled when Grey Worm spoke to her, but she shook her head and gave the smallest of smiles to him. "I did not see an enemy. I was just thinking about the Queen and her family."
Grey Worm tilted his head in slight confusion, "Your face looked sad."
Missandei gave a nod. "Yes, the Queen is worried that the stranger may have poisoned the princess as well. Unfortunately, there is no way to know that until she is married."
Grey Worm frowned when he heard that. "I do not understand. Why is having children important?"
Missandei had to think about how to explain this to him, having children was not a thought for an Unsullied. "For royal families, it is important for there to be many children. The rule of the kingdom passes down from the parents to the oldest child and continues with their children. Someone who wants a royal line to end so that they could take control would find a way to kill as many members of that family line so that the bloodline would die out and allow them to take control."
Grey Worm thought about what she said. "Like when we kill the commanders of an army to make soldiers surrender faster?"
Missandei nodded her head.
Grey Worm frowned before his face darkened with anger. "When we get to Westeros, can you tell me when we fight people responsible for this? Grey Worm will make sure they are defeated and brought before our Queen to be punished."
Missandei nodded again. "I will, Grey Worm."
Grey Worm nodded his head before giving a small bow. "Good night, Missandei." He then continued his patrol of the hallway.
Missandei bowed her head as well. "Good night, Grey Worm." She watched as he left before returning to her chambers.
…
Benjen Stark had felt the pull and fought to keep control of himself. He had been struggling more and more to keep his mind clear. The Night King had tried to make him a wight to command a legion of the dead. The three-eyed raven had stopped the ceremony and he had escaped. Now it seemed he was half wight and half man.
Benjen had not understood it then, but the old raven was right…he had an important role. It had been months since he had rescued Bran and that girl from death and gotten them to the safety of The Wall. With the pull he was feeling, Benjen knew he would need to go and see how many the Night King had in his army of the dead.
He only hoped he could keep himself in control long enough to share whatever he found with his former brothers of the Night's Watch.
Chapter 65
Arya had gone up to look over what remained of the Lannisters. She sat just beneath Cersei as she looked upon what remained of the once powerful woman. She found it oddly fitting that the once-mighty Lannisters had been reduced to the pieces of meat all people were in truth.
Her list would be completed once Cersei died. Arya intended to slide her Needle into Cersei's heart just before the beating muscle finally gave out. She would wait patiently for that to happen. It was nice to see that the woman was dying slowly enough to truly think through all of the pain and suffering she had caused.
...
Margaery had a large smile on her face as she went to feed young Aenar in the morning. She and Hannibal had officially said they tied in their wager, but her bucket had been nearly a pound lighter. It was too close to legitimately claim victory, but the fact that hers was a bit lighter had her in a very happy mood. She had managed to do even better than she had thought she could when it came to that sort of competition with her husband.
Hannibal walked in dressed for the meeting he was expecting to begin at any moment now. He saw Margaery and kissed her temple tenderly. "I haven't seen a smile this big on your face in some time my dear. You seem quite pleased with yourself indeed."
Margaery leaned into his kiss and turned to smile up at him. "I have proven exactly how evenly matched we are to one another last night. Even with that delightful outfit you made for me that was meant to give you an advantage."
Hannibal chuckled at that. "Indeed, some would say that I have taught you too well with your level of success last night."
Margaery smirked as Aenar finished eating. "Perhaps some would." She agreed as she lifted Aenar to burp him.
Rhys and Reina raced in and each picked one of Hannibal's legs to hug tightly as they both cheered. "Papa!"
Hannibal chuckled as he picked them both up and spun them around until they were laughing with excitement. He then stopped spinning for a moment as the pair of them giggled happily.
Olenna entered and smiled at the sight for a moment before announcing her presence in the room. "I do hope the pair of you know that I am not able to do such activities."
The twins smiled when they heard their great-grandmother. "Meme!" They cheered as they wiggled in Hannibal's arms a bit. He set them down carefully as they walked excitedly over to her.
Rhys smiled big. "We promise not to make you chase us so much today."
Reina nodded her head in agreement. "We go at Meme's speed today."
Olenna arched a brow at that. "Oh? And what is my speed?"
Rhys smiled. "Steady…"
Reina piped in to finish. "...and wise."
Olenna laughed as she leaned down to kiss the top of their little heads. "Such clever children indeed. Now, the pair of you must make certain you are ready for today. Go and make sure you have what you need."
They nodded their heads before racing back to their room to finish getting dressed.
Hannibal chuckled at their enthusiasm. "One thing is for certain, they will be filled with energy today. They went to bed quite early last night and got some extra sleep."
Olenna looked between the pair of them and shook her head. "Yes...a good night's sleep is what the pair of you need as well." She lightly scolded.
Margaery stood and passed Aenar to Hannibal as she looked to her grandmother. "A good night of play leads to better sleep grandmother. Even if it is for a shorter period of time."
Olenna rolled her eyes at that before looking at Hannibal. "Gods be good...I blame you for her new infatuation with this subject."
Hannibal smirked as he looked at Olenna. "Me? I can assure you I did nothing other than give her the opportunity to explore her deepest desires. I would never dare try to restrain a woman filled with so much passion." There was a smug look on his face that suggested any restraining might be done upon request.
Margaery blushed lightly, but did not shy away from the conversation. "We have heard reports of a small party approaching the city. They should be here soon. Hopefully we will be done around lunch."
Olenna was preparing to say more to Hannibal when her sweet Margaery jumped into the conversation. She waved her off. "I am aware of the situation." Rhys and Reina returned with wide smiles on their faces. Olenna smiled down to them as she reached out with her hands. "If the two of you are ready. Take my hands and let us be off."
Margaery smiled as she leaned down and reached out for her eldest children. They both moved in to hug her tight. "Now, the two of you behave yourselves." She reminded them.
They both nodded and answered in unison. "Yes mama." They each gave her a kiss on the cheek before taking one of Olenna's hands and going with her out of the room.
Hannibal rocked Aenar in his arms as he watched his children go with Olenna. He smiled to Margaery after they had left. "I do hope they do not cause her too much trouble."
Margaery turned and raised an eyebrow to him. "They certainly won't cause her as much trouble as you encourage them to." She said as she reached out to take Aenar back into her arms. She too was expecting to have the meeting soon.
Hannibal passed their now sleeping son back to Margaery. "They know the difference between when I am being serious and when I jest." He said as he placed his hand on the small of her back and began walking with her towards the Small Council chamber.
Margaery chuckled at that. "I certainly hope so." She said as she walked alongside Hannibal.
They arrived in the Small Council chamber with Brienne trailing behind them, and found Willas waiting there. Ellaria Sand and the Blackfish were also waiting. Hannibal expected Obara and Arya to join them along with Beric once the party of travelers arrived.
Hannibal turned to Brienne once the doors were closed. "Lady Brienne, it has come to my attention that I have not yet given you your newest title. Let me correct that now, kneel."
Brienne was confused when she was addressed, but knelt quickly after the command. "Your Grace, you honor me more than I deserve."
Her unwavering humility and honesty were quite rare indeed. Hannibal drew his sword and rested the flat of the blade upon her shoulder and moved it over her head to tap the other shoulder as he spoke. "In the name of the Warrior, I charge you to be brave. In the name of the Father, I charge you to be just. In the name of the Mother, I charge you to defend the innocent. Arise, Brienne of Tarth, knight of the Seven Kingdoms."
Everyone in the room nodded in approval, and Margaery was smiling.
Brienne was stunned but slowly stood once the words were finished. She bowed her head to her King. "Thank you, Your Grace."
Hannibal gave a nod of his head, "Ser Brienne."
...
Jon felt a bit on edge as they rode towards King's Landing at first light. They had ended up galloping towards the city once the horses got spooked by not one, but four dragons flying overhead. One was considerably larger than the other three, which looked like babies in comparison. They had all heard of the large one, Vhagar, that the King apparently rode into battle. The other three were a surprise to them. An unsettling surprise.
They were greeted at the gate by a tan woman wearing very little clothing upon her body. Jon was at the front of the party and took the lead. "We have come to meet King Hannibal. Word has been sent ahead speaking of our arrival."
Obara strode towards the man at the front. He was easy on the eyes, but she thought he looked shy. There was a smirk on her face as she looked up at him. "So...you are the famous Jon Snow." Her smirk widened as she paused. "Ah, I forget myself. You have a bit of the three-headed dragon within you...I've heard. I wonder what name you will claim after meeting my King."
The rest of the party watched her suspiciously. Jon did not feel that he could trust this woman very much. Ghost growled lowly at her as he felt Jon's discomfort. However, she certainly seemed to know exactly who he was. He shifted in the saddle a bit and gave a nod of his head. "That is my name. I am assuming that you were sent to escort us to the King?"
Obara looked at Ghost without a shred of fear. She stepped to him and reached out with a special treat in her hand. They were the same treats the King and Queen fed her own wolves. Ghost sniffed at it suspiciously, but ate it from her hand. Obara smiled and petted the top of his head before scratching behind his ear to relax him. "Don't get too excited when you meet the Queen's wolf. She is a real bitch." She said to Ghost before looking up at Jon. "I am indeed, it would be faster if you allowed me to ride with you to the Red Keep."
Jon watched as she approached Ghost. At first he was concerned she was going to be injured. However, she seemed to tame his direwolf quickly. Something that concerned him. Her offer was met with hesitation before he offered his hand to assist her onto his horse to ride behind him.
Tormund found this woman to be bold and very attractive. He wanted to pin her down and fuck her nice and hard. She looked like she would be quite the challenge to fuck.
Obara had spotted the large man looking at her and she flashed him a wide smirk. She then took Jon Snow's hand and hopped up on the horse behind him. She settled on the horse and leaned in to speak lowly so that only he could hear. "If I wake your dragon...find me after your meeting and I will assist you with releasing it from its cave." She purred close to his ear. She then leaned back to speak so some of the others could hear her. "Go straight down this street to the Red Keep. I will let you know if we need to turn at any point."
Jon stiffened in more ways than one when she leaned in like that. There was a part of his brain warning him that she was very dangerous. He rocked his heels into his horse and led the party into the city. A few of the citizens turned to look at them, but no one seemed worried or scared. In fact many of them seemed quite happy.
Obara told them to stop just short of the main drawbridge and told them to dismount there. It would give them the opportunity to see what remained of the Lannisters. Jaime happened to be screaming in pain as a crow was pecking at his face. Everyone felt a bit queasy as they saw the two people flayed from the neck down.
Bran's eyes were wide in shock. He recognized the people that were the cause of his useless legs, but he was not sure how he felt about what he saw. He looked to the tan woman. "Why are they still alive?"
Obara didn't seem the least bit bothered by the two Lannisters. She glanced up at them and smirked when she spotted the other assassin. "There is someone else who could explain better than I could."
Arya stepped out of the shadows to look at the small company. "They have finally been punished for what they have done to our family, Jon."
Jon and Bran were shocked when they saw Arya standing before them. She looked both the same and very different. It was difficult to identify what exactly was different.
Jon moved forward to look at her before pulling her into a tight hug. Of all the Starks, it was Arya that he had worried about the most. He spoke lowly for only her to hear. "Are you all right? Are you safe here?"
Arya had not expected the hug. She was a bit stiff in the embrace, but a hint of a smile tugged at the corner of her mouth. "He is a strong King, Jon. He learned well from father. He metes out punishment with his own hand. I am one of his personal assassins. I would not have accepted the position if I didn't trust him."
Jon gave a nod of his head in understanding. He took a step back to look her over. "Is that your Needle?"
Arya gave him a smirk. "Yes, I know how to use it as if it is part of my arm."
Jon looked relieved to hear that. "Good."
Arya looked to her brother and gave a nod of her head. "Come, the King is waiting for you."
Tormund was looking at what was left of the miserable souls. This King was not afraid to punish those who deserved it and did not shy away from sending a clear message to those who were now under his rule.
The rest of the party seemed stunned that another lost Stark had been found. Jon looked at Arya. " If the King is waiting, then we should go inside."
Obara focused back on him and gave a nod of her head. She looked at the Bolton men who had escorted them. "The four of you are dismissed. Go and get some food and visit one of the comfort houses." She said as she tossed them some gold. She then motioned for the party to follow her inside.
