A.N. — Unlike last time, nobody took me up on the offer of filling an open date with their request. So I will go back to well-trodden ground: characters (in this case a two-dimensional one) missing from the site's tags. Tomorrow starts another run of planned pairs over the course of the month.
275. Violet
For being a portrait, Violet sure got around. Not like that, mind you; she was a proper lady. But life in a frame grew dreadfully dull, and Violet constantly sought to overhear gossip and observe the latest goings-on. So she was among the most migratory of Hogwarts' numerous paintings.
Her prime spot hanging near the Great Hall garnered Violet plenty of juicy tidbits when she decided to stay put, too. She'd been all atwitter to spread the closed-door details of the choosing of the Triwizard champions, and savored being the center of attention even when eyes weren't on her canvas.
