Greetings to many viewers, the VISION-KING has a new story to try out that's sure to excite many: A Sonic The Hedgehog story. I'm a huge fan, and seen many of the games, TV Shows, films, comics, etc. This story takes place a little after Sonic Forces which really was quite a game. Now this story will have the theme of a new game introduce in the Sonic series which I one day would hope it gets attention to someday be an inspiration to be made real or at least into a comic. What's unique is that I was inspired by the idea of crossing the world of Power Rangers I enjoyed into a world of Sonic the Hedgehog. And thus a new and thrilling story is born! So get your imagination ready, there's gonna be some interesting and suspenseful events you won't wanna miss out.
And what could be better, then after new exciting Sonic releases for 2022. Enjoy…
Prologue: The Z Seal Breaks
SOMEWHERE IN GREEN HILL
Something was seen zipping through the woods in a blue blur, going faster then the speed of light. But then the blue blur stops when it reach a cliff, and we see what it looked like. It was none other then Sonic the Hedgehog, A.K.A. 'the Fastest Thing Alive'. A well known hero who uses his Super Speed to get anything done quicker then a flash.
"Hugh, looks like I should have taken a left turn back there? Oh well, I'll backtrack." Sonic exclaim in deciding he'll backtrack to go where there's more run path for him.
"Grrr…Curse these inferior vines?" A grouchy voice belonging to a male was heard.
When Sonic heard a familiar voice, he stops to look around the area. The loud noises were heard below the cliff, so he looks down. And that's when he saw a familiar arch-enemy to the hedgehog. It was Doctor Eggman, an evil Robot Scientist with a 300 IQ. He's always trying to takeover the world with his machines, and due to Sonic getting in his way, the doctor never succeeds. And he was in his Egg-Mobile which was having trouble hovering due to being tangled from branches and overgrown vines off the cliff.
"Woah-Ho! Hey Eggman, what'cha doing down there? Hanging around?" Sonic smiles to give a little teasing to the doc's situation.
"Hmph…Very funny? It was so funny, I forgot to laugh?" Dr. Eggman huffs a bit while making a dry remark over hearing such an obvious joke. "Now are you going to MOCK Me or GET ME DOWN?" He remarks while yelling at the top of his lungs.
"Sure, I got a sweet idea." Sonic kneels down as if getting ready to do a Dash Run maneuver.
"No-No-No! That's not what I…" Eggman panics as he doesn't want what he expects is coming.
"BIZZZZzvhmm…/CHOP-CHOP, CHOP!" Sonic did a Spin Dash as he buzz saws the branches and vines to free the good doctor.
"MEEAAAANNNNNNT!/CRASH!/OOoowwww!?" Eggman screams as he plunges down the cliff before he crashes down on the ground.
"Oops!? Should have been more precise?" Sonic skids down the cliff to meet Eggman on the side, seeing the human doc a bit wobbly from surviving such a fall.
"Ugh, have I really sunk so low? I was so close to TOTAL WORLD DOMINATION!?" Doctor Eggman groans from the pain before complaining about how he went from the top to the bottom. "Where did it all go wrong? I thought when I had you imprison, things would be easy with no one able to stop me?" He protest that he thought it was smooth sailing when he had Sonic, but something went wrong at the last second.
"Not likely. After me and the Resistance gave you such a beating, I thought the answer would be obvious. And here you are, moaning in robot scrap." Sonic shrugs off to simply say while pointing to the wreck machines all over that were apart of Eggman's large robot during a big battle.
"Always the wise guy, well just wait! I'll make an even BIGGER, GRANDER, BETTER PLAN! Where the world is 100% Conquered by me! Doctor Eggman!" Eggman regains his balance to protest against his arch-enemy in what he will do to make sure next time, he wins.
Sonic was about to make another sly comment at the sore-loser of Doctor Eggman when without warning, the sun faded. Then what was replace were dark storm clouds, as lightning flashed during the whole thing.
"Hugh, that's weird? According to Tails, the weather in this area was suppose to be sunny all day?" Sonic raised an eyebrow in finding the weather was way off today.
"Hugh?" Then Eggman found a device that fell from the crash, which was emitting vibration readings and numbers. "What's this…my instruments are detecting large surges of energy that's disrupting the reality? But this makes no sense?" The doctor was very puzzled by some strange readouts he was receiving.
"Oh really doc., care to enlighten?" Sonic rolled his eyes to smirk to see how the brilliant doctor can fill him in on that one.
"You remember those illusions I prepared to aid in my conquest by which I used a jewel that disrupts reality? Apparently the same energy is going on even without my doing so." Eggman explain a brief mentioning of something he used in his last scheme that something related to it is occurring.
"Wait, the last one who did this was Infinite before you tried your hand on it. Could it be him?" Sonic raised an eyebrow in pondering if the only answer left was the culprit that was beaten.
"I highly doubt it. The scales I'm detecting goes beyond what power I gave to Infinite." Eggman remarks that what he's reading are off the charts.
Suddenly without warning, flashes of lightning were seen, except they were circulating around in an eerie manner. It was almost like it was possessed as it was striking far off distances. The weird thing was that the areas hit did not show any signs of starting fires or blowing up areas. There were unusual sounds, almost tiny voices screaming in the distance winds that carried the echoes over to the bothered hedgehog and mad doctor.
"And this is most certainly NOT my handy work? It's almost like pure chaos energy is running rampage." Eggman exclaim to say while noticing how bad the storm was getting much worse. "ZAP!/POW!" In fact a bolt of lightning almost got him which spooked the doctor while seeing a tiny scorch mark on the ground: it was evident that the bolt was precise.
"Well you better hope you can run unless you wanna get zapped by crazy lightning?" Sonic pointed out in what's about to happen if they stick around too long.
Eggman was about to retort before the speedy blue hedgehog tied rope around some of the doc's Egg-Mobile to haul it off. Then from zipping pass the man, Doctor Eggman yelps from being scoop up to fall into his mobile while suffering the bumpy ride. All while they were evading the lightning that was trying to hit them.
"ZAP!/BRrizzzvhmmm…/WRAAAarrrugh!?" Course when they were dodging, one bolt impacted some birds that were trying to escape the freaky storm.
"Yikes! I heard lightning strikes twice, but never something as weird as this striking a whole bird flock?" Sonic yelps to stop in seeing some innocent animals got hit along the crossfire of weird weather.
"Wait, something isn't right? Shouldn't that have incinerated those creatures?" Doctor Eggman raised an eyebrow in thinking something wasn't right with this picture.
What happened next were the little birds were exhibiting electrical surges, before strange magical particles enveloped their whole bodies to expand to a more 10 or 12 feet. Soon something came forth when the flashy light-show was over, but it was a shock to believe. The little birds had suddenly become large anthropomorphic birds. Their fluffy feathers were black in color, covered by their purple-black breastplates and shin guards on the knees. They have black manes of feathers around their necks. From their talon feet were tan light-bare with silver nails, they also had five claw fingers the same color. Even their facials were dark tan light-gray with light-tan beaks, and purplish color eyes.
"WHARK-WHARK, WHARRRRK!?" Suddenly the blacken birds made loud squawk sounds while reacting in a terrifying way to destroy some trees and rocks nearby like they were puddle to them.
"GAAAAAH!" Eggman screams in terror at seeing small animals grow into something bigger then him and very scary.
"Woah! That's not something you see everyday? Better Jet!" Sonic exclaim in knowing whatever happened, best they find a safe place.
But then something else caught those to cease their running because they were surrounded. Many were strange looking, like species who seem like they were Animal-Themed Monsters. They all seem different, and all of them were approaching the blue hedgehog and the doctor.
"Those white bolts of lightning!? It seems that each creature structure gets turn into some sort of…Monster Version of the animal contact?" Eggman raised an eyebrow in never having seen anything quite like this before.
"Great, it's almost like the Dark Gaia event all over again. Guess we better get through these guys & figure out what's going on." Sonic rolled his eyes in remembering innocent creatures who got turn evil from a past adventure, now it seems like they are caught in the middle of a new wave.
Without warning, Sonic formed into a ball before performing his Spin Dash to do a little zig-zag maneuvers. It was like watching a hedgehog pinball bashing against stack up pins. But there were some that were heavy weights, and could not be knock down so easily and instead swatted Sonic to skid near a worried Doctor Eggman.
"Man, earlier they were just normal Animals, but now they picked up new skills and can fight. I'm fast enough to out run them sure, but they're not as easy as busting up your robots doc?" Sonic exclaim to mention that these weird monsters are not as easy as they appear, even breaking down Eggman's Robots would go down after a few tries or so.
"I don't know if that was a compliment or sarcasm? Either way, it seems whatever powered them up, normal methods won't deal enough damage to them." Dr. Eggman frowns to say over hearing such a statement before focusing on trying to survive this.
The monsters were slowly were about to attack, except loud thunder boom noises were heard followed by lightning flashes. That caused them monsters to look up in the sky with fascination, as if responding to the action above.
"Hugh, what are they doing? The storm reacted and they stopped to observe it?" Sonic raised an eyebrow in thinking this seems a whole lot more weirder.
"I don't know? But it's clear whatever is going on, the unusual lightning is not normal. Which leads me to believe, something is manipulating to create these things?" Doctor Eggman rubs his chin to ponder any thoughts or ideas that can explain what was causing to turn normal creatures into horrifying monsters.
But then through the storm clouds, light flash appeared that form an image of something, or rather…someone you only see in a horror film. A figure who wore a darken crimson hood cape with pointy shoulder pads, apparently physically well muscular by appearance. Though one could only see the upper half of the main body, the other parts could be see-able to an extent. Through the hood was only a metal mask with a mouth guard, followed by a red eye visor along with a horn stuck out from the middle. The figure seems to wield what appears to be a silver staff with a 'Z' mark on the top. However this entity was, appeared to be a powerful warrior of untold magic.
"Attention citizens of the world. I Am Lord Zenn, Emperor of Evil." The individual in the stormy skies announced, as all over the world everyone could see and hear such a mighty and powerful threat before them. "As of now, my seal has begun to break. My long awaited freedom is at hand. I shall proceed what I started years ago. Dominate this planet as it's Supreme Lord of Evil." When he spoke of this, many of the citizens all over the world were a bit afraid by such news by a terrifying evil emperor. "Any who dare to challenge me, will face against my dark magic and my army…of Zen-Monsters! And for those unfortunate, shall become one of my servant creations you have witnessed before your eyes. Prepare yourself, for the Age Of Zenn…is NOW!" Once that was over with, the lightning spark in dispelling the magical image of Lord Zenn.
Back with Sonic and Doctor Eggman, they had seen enough to know what was causing problems.
"Well now we know what's been causing the monster makeovers. And by who!?" Sonic exclaim in seeing they learn who it was that was causing this trouble.
"Yes, and unless we get out of here…WE'LL end up just like THEM!?" Doctor Eggman protest in knowing the situation will be the same if they don't get moving.
Suddenly without warning, weird mechanical noises were heard before something was moving near the metal scraps. They appear in gunmetal humanoid bodies with bronze boots, ankles, buckles, hands, and robotic face covers. Their movements and general behavior seem similar to that of monkeys while some carry sticks extending to battle staffs or spears.
"Heh, looks like you're ahead of even yourself doc? You called in your robots to save your fried egg self after I pulled you out of the fryer." Sonic smirks in seeing Eggman trying to move a few steps ahead when danger is lurking around.
"As much as I want to take credit where GENIUS credit is due, sadly…THOSE are not MY ROBOTS!?" Doctor Eggman remarks to inform Sonic that what was seen were not of his own creations.
Then the strange robots threw some gathered broken scraps over to pile in front of Sonic and Eggman. When it was over, they stood by to watch the duo studied the collected junk pile before them.
"You sure, they're probably a little cross-wired like your others?" Sonic raised an eyebrow in not seeing much a difference from Eggman's usual whacky bots.
"Wait, those are parts from my destroyed bot we left behind? Why would they take such things just to mishandle them?" Doctor Eggman pointed to feel very puzzled by the oddest behavior.
Without warning, lightning from above impacts the scrap pile of mechanical parts. But what shock Doctor Eggman and Sonic was seeing a hand pop out before seeing something stand out of the pile, then turns around to face them. It was a tall robot about 12 feet that is mostly colored in white and black, with some points of yellow and red, has a sita light that appears above the head, eyes are black with red eyelids and a mouth guard, arm mounted missile launchers on both arms and two missiles on both of shoulders and missile-like boots. It's very appearance was like a missile/rocket-theme robot one could see in some fighting games.
"Unit Silo - Online!" That's when the male robotic individual proclaimed it's activation like a military commando type.
"I don't believe it? This type of magic can even transform robotics into these Zen-Monsters? Does that mean it's not just organic life, but inorganic life that can be affected?" Eggman was very perplex by this action, it was beyond his intelligent brain could process.
"I Am Silo. Question, who is about to become ruler of your world." The Zen-Monster called Silo spoke while asking a question round.
"I'll tell you who it ain't, the doc right here. Does that help?" Sonic pointed to the doc which only infuriated Doctor Eggman by the rhetorical joke.
"Incorrect. The answer is Lord Zenn." Silo proclaimed forth what the answer was to him was correct. "YOU LOSE!/Pow-Pow, Pow…" Without warning, he fired off missile shots at the duo.
"Bam-Bam, Bam…" The explosions created dust clouds that even after dodging, blinded Sonic and Doctor Eggman from each other and also separated them briefly.
"Cough-cough…that blasted hedgehog and his FAST mouth can't even read the situation in front of him?! He'll get us BOTH Fried at this rate!" Doctor Eggman coughs while he remarked the situation as he tried to find where Sonic was. "Hugh?" But the doctor was greeted by a larger shadow appearance, which was none other then Silo.
"You shall come with us, any attempts will be futile. Any resistance will result in your Termination. Cogs, take him away." Silo instructs the doctor before signaling the robot humanoid troops to move in to take the human.
"No! NO! NOOOOoooooooo!" Doctor Eggman yelps as he screams from being approach and restrained by robots that he cannot control.
"Hugh, doc!?" Sonic called out through the smokescreen, as he speeds over until… "PAD!" Something bumped the hedgehog away, and saw a giant gray ball rolling away before it makes a complete stop.
"Not so fast!" Then the giant gray soccer ball suddenly undid it's self to reveal it was an armadillo humanoid-like monster standing 12 feet tall. "Can't break through my defense! I'll knock you down before you know it!" The monster proclaimed in having a huge advantage from it's armor defense.
"A Ball Attack move, hugh? You're not thinking you can beat me that easy?" Sonic smirks with cockiness to not be bested that easily.
"No, but it will provide an opening." Silo spoke through the smokescreen as he was from a distance, but his scans show where the hedgehog was and did not notice him.
"Hugh?" Sonic looked back too late when he let his pride blind him.
"Foovhm…/BOOM!" Before Sonic could react, missiles were fired that exploded that knock the hedgehog off balanced. When the smoke cleared, the Zen-Monsters approach to find no sign of Sonic from being corner on a cliff. Over the cliff was a big drop, and rushing water below, signs would say that the blue hedgehog was not prepared and may not have survived without being conscious.
"Target threat eliminated. Excellent work Armordillo. We can begin the next phase." Silo issued to give credit to his fellow Zen-Monster brethren on completing their task.
"Arrrrwk! Think that's the last we'll see that hedgehog?" Then one of the large black birds spoke off with a puzzling question.
"If not, we'll give him more of a peaking!" The other large black bird replied with some cockiness of what they'll do.
"Enough Tengas! Find any who would resist Lord Zenn's return. This is your order, follow it through." Silo gave instructs to those to obey what they been told to do.
Soon the Zen-Monsters began to leave the area while the scene slowly fads out. The question of what happen to Sonic is up for questioning, especially when beneath the cliff was…a river.
SOMETIME AFTERWARDS
IN ANOTHER PLACE…
The scene was dark before everything was seen as being blurry. Then the vision was coming in clearer, and there was a campfire setup inside a cave. Within the cave were strange carve rock tablets of some ancient race long ago. And then we spot Sonic slowly waking up on a bed made of leaves.
"Ugh, what happened?" Sonic groans after regaining consciousness at this moment. "That's right, I was attacked and then…" The hedgehog rubs his head to recall a late memory…
That's when vivid images reveal that when Silo blew up the cliff, Sonic guarded himself and was slightly injured. But then the ground broke and he fell off down the cliff and into the river water. The last thing the hedgehog saw was water before blacking out on the spot.
"I fell off a cliff and into the river. Boy that sure doesn't bold well." Sonic scratch his forehead after recalling a bad experience he went through. "But, how did I get out of there and end up…here?" The hedgehog was uncertain, he was in a river but was here instead: how?
"Wow, do you usually talk to yourself, or are you just following a plot by some outside force that you can't help being controlled?" Another voice was heard stating some random stuff.
"Hmm? Who's there?" Sonic got into a defensive position, ready for any signs of an enemy.
"Cool your jets, that any way to thank somebody who fished you out of the river? And let's face it, you're not good at being fished out." The voice was heard trying to reason the blue hedgehog that Sonic was saved by this mystery person.
"I say thanks, if I could first see who to thank?" Sonic remarked that it's hard to thank anyone who remains unseen when they wake up.
"Fine, fine, I'll come forth if it'll make you happy." The voice stated from sounding annoyed by the rhetorical statement of not being seen.
That's when something walks from the dark shadow corner and into the light. Sonic immediately saw who the mystery savior of his was, and frankly was surprise that the voice sounded like a male, but in truth was muffled by a hand cover from…a female. It was some anthropomorphic badger only slightly shorter than Amy's height. Has orange fur with long thick hair on the back of her head, which she keeps in two locks with auburn strings, and two brown stripes across each of the eyes and bushy round ears that reach the end of the hair. She was rather scrawny, with a peach muzzle, a small black nose, blue eyes and a medium-long bushy tail. The attire consists of a midriff-baring tube top and a skirt with an auburn rope belt, each made of worn-down gray fabric stitched together, and tan fur-skin boots, one which has a fur cuff and the other which has metal bands on it. For accessories, wears a golden band on the right upper arm, a spiral bracelet on the left wrist and a necklace braided with seashells and a gold ring.
"The name's Sticks The Badger. And your welcome." The female badger introduced herself as Sticks The Badger. "Hey Author, no need to repeat that! They got the message!"
"Um, okay?" Sonic was a bit puzzled, and uncertain by this girl called Sticks and not knowing she broke the 4th Wall. "So, where are we?" The blue hedgehog asked the big question.
"A cave, isn't it obvious?" Sticks rolled her eyes at such a silly question while dropping a sack of veggies on a wooden table setup.
"Yeah, I get we're in a cave, but it doesn't look like a normal cave?" Sonic ponders from seeing certain inscriptions on the walls of an ancient language from a tribe.
"That's cause it isn't. It's what's leftover from the Gaia Civilization." Sticks pointed out what the cave drawing was meant to reflect.
"Gaia, wait…you don't mean….Light Gaia and Dark Gaia, do you?" Sonic asked from recalling an old event involving such a thing.
"Who do you think I meant? Certainly not some cocky-half glass name that people couldn't pronounce and just went with something short and simple." Sticks remarked the matter of who to address of those related to the Gaia theme that Sonic had long witness and learn about.
"Uh-huh?" Sonic slowly nods from trying to figure this fruity and slightly nutty badger girl out. "Well it's been fun getting to know you, ugh…Sticks, but I gotta go and take down some monsters! Save the world. That kind of thing." The blue hedgehog was gently giving a farewell to who saved him and about to start saving the world; again.
"At the rate you're going, you wouldn't stand a chance." Sticks muttered out loud for Sonic to hear.
"Um, s'cuse me? I'll just run around those slowpokes and get the drop on them. It works every time." Sonic looked back to exclaim the usual way to beat down on baddies.
"Yeah, but even if you ran super fast, those Zen-Monsters are protected by dark magic. Normal attacks won't be enough to beat them, only slow them down." Sticks exclaim to mention that even if Sonic beaten down tough robots by Eggman, that method won't cut it this time. "Follow me…" The badger girl turns around for the hedgehog to follow her.
Sonic was a bit puzzled but decided to shrug off the shoulders to follow Sticks. When they exit the dark cave and enter the light, what awaited Sonic was a grim sight. The skies were darken, and there was much of trees withered and buildings far ahead that once had light seem dim.
"Woah, I knew the weather was bad when it started, but what happened here?" Sonic was completely in the dark right now.
"You were pretty much out of it for about a week or so. The world hasn't had this problem since Eggman conquered 90 percent of the planet." Sticks mention how long Sonic's been out of action and how things escalated to such a point.
"A week!?" Sonic yelps in surprise, that's a lot to happen in a week. "I mean sure, it's probably not the first time I been blow off a cliff and nearly drown in water but…" The blue hedgehog couldn't believe how things fell apart so fast.
"Now do you get it." Sticks firmly stares at the hedgehog after witnessing this sight. "It was not just an ordinary attack that knock you for a loop, those creatures were born through dark magic that normal means won't work." The badger girl points out, knowing that the enemy is too difficult to take down under normal conditions.
"Well I'm sure we can figure a way to fight them, if I can meet my buddy Tails, maybe he'll have an answer." Sonic tried to stay positive and look at a silver light at the end of the tunnel.
"Oh brother, can't you read the room here? Course we're not in a room, we're outside. But that's outside the point." Sticks rolled her eyes to randomly blab about the point being missed. "The only way to fight off such darkness is with light. In short, fight dark magic with light magic if I wasn't clear enough." The badger girl explains the brief matter of her valid point.
"Well if that's all, tell me if you know where I can race and get this magical light stuff so that we can say hello to Mister Sun again." Sonic asked, hoping that Sticks can tell him and he'll race off to get it quicker then a flash.
Just before Sticks could say anything, something magically appeared across from them. "Wharrrk-Wharrrk…Whhaarrrkkk!" It appeared to be black feathers which then formed into the Tengas making their crow call sounds. And among the group was Armordillo himself, leading the Tengas and apparently hunting for targets that stand in the way: like Sonic.
"Heheheheh, well-well, looks like the Rat that escape has been found!" Armordillo laughs off while wiggling his hands out, ready to pounce.
"You need to get your profiles straight, cause the only rat here seems more like you." Sonic narrow his eyes from staring at the real monster rat around.
"Arrrr-Arrr-Arrrrkkk!" Then Tengas began to fly forth to attack Sonic and Sticks. The blue hedgehog quickly picks up the badger girl to run through the forest below. "Crash…Crash…Crash!" There were a few Tengas that were knock out temporally from not watching and hitting trees before getting up to pursue the chase. "Arrr-Arrr-Arrrkkk!" But more Tengas flew ahead to cut Sonic and Sticks off, and soon they were surrounded. The blue hedgehog performed a Spin Dash, but that only slightly knock the bird monsters back a few feet, and were closing on the targets.
"Ugh, these buzzard brains seem like they are hardly going down? They must have gotten use to what I did before?" Sonic groans to complain how things were not looking good. "Hate to say this Sticks, but you maybe right. We gotta find a way out of this mess." The hedgehog hates to admit when this is one battle they can't win.
"Wow, usually when people say I'm right is either when we're endanger or I'm crazy? Mostly the crazy topic. In fact, it always seems to be the Crazy part? Why CRAZY!?" Sticks was a bit surprised by Sonic's claim to believe her words. "But don't worry, I got a way to lessen the odds!" That's when the badger girl brought forth…a wooden boomerang.
"Ugh, you plan to take down a bunch of dark magic monsters that are hard to take down normally with…a wooden boomerang?" Sonic raise an eyebrow, puzzled by this crazy action.
But Sticks ignore Sonic, and threw her boomerang without worry. At first there was nothing special about the boomerang, until a hidden clear gemstone shines to emit a light surface. And covered the boomerang in an orange aura.
"Jab! Jab! JAB!/Arrrk-Arrk, ARRRRKKK!?" There were many Tengas that yelped from the brighten weapon that knock them across while hitting each target around. "Fooohhh…" That's when the taken down Tengas turn into black smoke to fad away and then actual black crows flew off as if return to normal.
"Hugh!?" Sonic raise an eyebrow, completely baffled by this.
"Heh, impressed now?" Sticks grins from catching her boomerang that return to her.
"Wow that's some stick, Sticks?" Sonic was utterly impress, he did not see that one coming. "But how did it work?" The blue hedgehog was curious, his attacks did little effort, but an ordinary stick took out a group of Zen-Monsters.
"You wanna try it?" Sticks smiled to offer Sonic a chance to do the same.
"Oh most definitely." Sonic nods eagerly wanting to do the same thing.
"Hey!" That's when Armordillo leaped onto the scene, and witness those that took out his group. "I don't know what you did, but consider that your only victory! I'll ROLL YOU OVER!" Without warning, Armordillo curls and forms into a giant ball and started to roll towards the duo.
Sticks quickly threw Sonic something which was a clear gemstone the hedgehog held in a tight grip. Then a bright light appeared which gave Sonic a strong blue aura around his body. Then the hedgehog did a Spin Dash move without warning. "POW!" And the two tackled in their ball forms, but the one that was knock across the field was the enemy.
"Ugh…what's going on, how come you can hit harder then me?" Armordillo undid his ball form to clutch the head, it's as if the weak blue hedgehog had a harder hid then he did.
"Just lucky I guess. Now for the finish!" Sonic smirks with confidence as he got into position. "HOMING ATTACK!" He announced his next attack on the spot.
That's when Sonic started to go into a rapid spin, and launch himself across the field. The blue hedgehog was moving so fast in a blue aura, he delivered multiple Homing Attack strikes against Armordillo. And then the final attack was coming when the enemy was weak enough.
"CHARGE SPIN DASH!" Sonic announced before blasting off like a fast ball of energy.
"POW!/GRUAARRRGH!" That attack went right through a yelping Armordillo as energy spikes escape him as he fell backwards. "KABOOM!" Then an explosion occurred which signal the end of Armordillo. When Sonic stopped himself between Sticks and the defeated enemy, he was utterly speechless. Then the hedgehog saw a little armadillo rush off in a hurry afterwards.
"Man, what is this thing?" Sonic looked at the gemstone which had turn blue at the time.
"It's called a Gaia Gem. The only thing that contains enough of Light Gaia's power to make anyone into a Gaia Warrior." Sticks pointed out what the gem object was capable of.
"A Gaia Warrior?" Sonic raise an eyebrow after hearing the name.
"Well technically they were called: 'Gaia's Guardian Warriors Of Light', but Gaia Warrior is much better. Shorter too." Sticks shrugs off her shoulders to briefly state on her version.
"I see. Well with this, I might just be able to stop all those crazy Zen-Monsters and stop that Lord Zenn guy creating them." Sonic smirks from having something that can finally turn the tables on a new evil that has risen.
"Hey! Your talking CRAZY! And I know Crazy, cause I talk Crazy too!" Sticks stops Sonic from about to do something crazy here. "But even a crazy person is not stupid enough to go into danger of this scale blindly and all by themselves." The badger girl was being very serious of her statements.
"Okay, I see your point. What else can we do?" Sonic raise an eyebrow at what Sticks was saying.
"The only thing we can do, and that is to find…the others." Sticks proclaim what action must be taken at this time.
"Others?" Sonic repeated that as if surprise by the meaning.
"Others like you. Didn't you notice?" Sticks raise an eyebrow on how thick Sonic wasn't catching on. "You just took down a Unique Zen-Monster. That means you can harness the greater power of the Gaia Gem. Which is something more then what a usual Gaia Warrior can perform." The badger girl explain the topic on what she has seen the hedgehog was capable of.
"Well couldn't you do that, I mean I saw what you did with one of these?" Sonic was a bit puzzle by what Sticks was saying now.
"Nope! I'm more in the role of generations of Storytellers." Sticks brush off the subject while revealing her origin's a different connection. "Basically it's what my ancestors did recording the world's history for generations to come. They kept track of things related to the Time of Awakening in every new generation." The girl explains another shocking thing that caught Sonic's attention.
"I think Tails already research that, involving the Gaia event. But what does that have to do with now?" Sonic was curious, was there a connection involving Lord Zenn and the Zen-Monsters that relates to the Dark Gaia disaster.
"Are you paying attention or is everything going in one ear and out the next?" Sticks rest her hands on her hips to sternly stare at Sonic's clueless action. "I'm saying that Lord Zenn is tied to it because, get ready for this…" The girl pauses a brief moment to get ready for a big reveal. "He was there when the Time Of Awakening occurred 10,000 years ago!" Sticks firmly explains the truth that was no lie.
Now that really shock Sonic, if what Sticks said is true, then Lord Zenn has indeed been around since the last Time of Awakening. The hedgehog remembered the event was that Dark Gaia destroys and Light Gaia gives new life to the planet. But then how did Lord Zenn survive for over 10,000 years and worse, is capable of creating his own versions of Dark Gaia's Minions.
"So your saying that Lord Zenn came from 10,000 years ago, how is that possible for anyone to live that long?" Sonic was very curious with caution on what they are facing.
"I'll explain it later, right now we got major work to do!" Sticks cuts the blue hedgehog off to walk ahead.
"But…" Sonic was about to protest but…
"Hurry up Mister Fastest Thing Alive, or else you'll be in last place." Sticks issue as she was seen running ahead of Sonic.
"Okay, now I won't take that lying down. Your own!" Sonic made a sly grin from deciding to take the challenge.
Sonic wasted no time, as he used his Super Speed to zipped down the forest of trees. Their destination was for the ruined city, but what awaits them, no one is certain if there's friends…or foes lying in wait.
NOTES: Lord Zenn is an inspired OC Version of Lord Zedd from the Power Rangers series. To tear apart which voice to picture for this OC Version, while the 90s version in MMPR had one with a great evil voice, this one we can picture from the Dino Fury version which has just the right amount.
The monsters are all related to those from Power Rangers series.

Sticks the Badger is a character from the Sonic Boom series. While in only the game and TV show, Sticks played a major role in the Sonic The Hedgehog/Mega Man World Unite Archie Comic series. So this version is of Sticks in the main Sonic series.
*In an episode from Sonic Boom 'Closed Door Policy', Sticks played a role of being responsible for keeping villainous Froglodytes in their cave for many years. So I decided to give her a role about knowing old legends in-tie to the Light & Dark Gaia theme from Sonic Unleashed.
**The Storytellers title, was an inspiring title theme from Tales of Zestiria/Berseria games which was pass down a family line.
Boy oh boy, things are really starting to look like something our blue hedgehog hero has never experienced. And there is so much more to see, the suspense and the drama, witness an adventure like never before. In the next chapter, Sonic and Sticks reach an old Resistance base but it looks like it's been hit hard. The many that are still left are in need of help, especially when an old 'buddy' that helped save Sonic is facing off more then one can handle. And when a friend is in trouble, usually gathering allies is an important key, but rescuing a kidnapped friend is a bigger deal. The enemy before Sonic is much tougher and can't win alone. But who should come to the blue hedgehog's aid but a visitor from another time? Will they be enough, and will our heroes help save the day and find a friend in peril? Stay tune to find out, enjoy…
