A.N. — Now, from the formation of Dumbledore's Army to an antagonist to its members. One of the Slytherins I promised earlier, but one I have mixed feelings on. Fandom, as it often does, makes a character more interesting than their source material.
279. Pansy Parkinson
Sometimes, Pansy felt only she saw any good in Draco.
True to Slytherin, the boy had unseen qualities he kept to himself. What was unfair was the image Pansy was saddled with for her open admiration of the blonde. Was it any wonder that she'd rather trade verbal barbs or discreet curses with the other students (Slytherins included) when they refused to acknowledge her own distinct personality?
Years of mutual animus sapped Pansy's resolve. She became more embittered and vindictive, starting to earn the reputation she already held.
Sometimes, Pansy feared not even she could find the good in herself.
