Chapter 02 Fighting Machine!
ABOVE THE SKIES
The scene begins to open around something strange in the cloudy skies. It resembles a mechanical gear rotating an entire piece of land in the sky. And all around the top layer were facilities pumping out smoke and flames on an active schedule. In the very center, appeared like some sort of mechanical castle fortress with a large rotating gear and large spire point in the center. It wasn't long before Silver levitated himself pass some clouds while focusing to bring Sonic in a psychic aura hold. And Sticks was clutching Silver's legs until the wild girl noticed…where they are.
"Boy, they sure do know how to make one feel welcome?" Sonic raise an eyebrow, seeing such a weird structure yet appears nobody is around to greet them.
"Wait, are you saying there's a surprise here? Cause surprises can't lead to anything good, unless you're the one giving the surprises." Sticks asked from having a sudden bad moment that things are not what they seem.
"This place almost feels like where Eggman would setup?" Silver looked around, the area feels like what Doctor Eggman would use for a base of operation.
"Come to think about it, the doc was taken by those Zen-Monsters before I got washed down river." Sonic held his chin when recalling Eggman when last he saw him before this mess happened. "I wonder if…?"
Before anyone could say anything, strange energy rings were fired that almost knock the heroes out of the sky. They soon saw what resembled some kind of octopus-like jet fighters. And in the cockpit was one of them Cogs piloting one. And then came more of these things firing away at the defenseless creatures hovering in midair.
"Intruders! They have infiltrated the base!" The first Cog instructs upon spotting intruders.
"Capture them alive!" The second Cog issued from what they are to do.
"Ahah! I KNEW IT!" Sticks shouted as if having knew this would happen. "They plan to surprise us with an Ambush! I totally called it, but apparently, nobody listens to me." The badger girl issue off from having been right about this matter. "In fact, how come I didn't listen to my own advice? Am I that un-focus? Course I didn't expect octopus-face robot planes so…?" Then Sticks was rambling off to herself about such things…
"Better save that for later. I need to concentrate, I can't fight and defend when having you both with me." Silver exclaim from knowing it's difficult to keep those with him in the air and fend off attackers.
"Heads Up! They're coming around!" Sonic yells from seeing the enemy coming a second round.
Silver immediately levitated to evade the attacking fighters while counting on Sonic to perform Spin Dash to knock off their pursuit. After a while, the group managed to land on the first platform, but then they were meant by some metal company. Alongside the Cogs, there were three other Zen-Monsters of the Unique Class. The first was some kind of robot-excavation that had an orange theme, a hard helmet with a pressure gage, and had a right arm that's an armed mounted jack hammer: there was apparently a mini-version on top of the head that act like a second brain. The second was some kind of bronze theme drill-bot that had small guns on the wrist and a massive drill in the middle of the body. The third was an orange saucer-themed robot which had wiry tentacle arms.
"Well-well, looky here fellas? We got some trespassers." The excavation robot spoke with some tough construction worker attitude.
"Yeah, hedgehog infestation." The tiny bot issue as he was working overtime on the scene.
"Urrgh…Time to Destroy!" A drill bot proclaim as it's massive drill was eager to destroy.
"Urrgh…" A saucer bot had it's many tentacle wires be ready to wrap the targets at a given moment.
"Digster, Drill Master, Hosehead, get into position!" Soon something entered the scene that resembled a blue bulky rocket but with a mean face expression: without warning, it transformed to a robot rocket-man. "Don't forget, these rodents took out Silo! But don't worry, they'll go out in a bang! Or my name ain't Louie Kaboom!" The rocket bot issued with taking charge while announcing his presence.
"Seriously? Kaboom? Who came up with your name buddy?" Sonic raise an eyebrow after hearing such a silly name.
"Oh laugh it up now blue boy, but soon…you'll be on ground kissing my boots!" Louie Kaboom remarked that Sonic won't know what hit him. "GET THEM!" He pointed to give command for the attack.
That's when the Zen-Monsters charged forth to attack the trio. Sonic used his speed to escape the incoming Cogs and distract the fighters. Silver took to the air before Hosehead hovers off after the hedgehog. And Sticks was left with the ground foes that one decided to close in.
"Driizzzz…./POW!" The one called Drill Master almost impacted the badger girl with that drill that punctured through solid bedrock.
"Gaaaaah!?" Sticks screamed as she ran off like a four-legged animal in terror. "My Worse Nightmare Come True! A DENTIS DRILL!?" Sticks was literally staring at what she doesn't like to compare the two.
"Isn't that just some drill bot?" Sonic raise an eyebrow to question the difference between a common drill and a deadly weapon drill.
"Hey! You deal with your problems, I gotta deal with my own!" Sticks protest from having issues with dentist and their drills. "You won't be drilling any of my teeth!...Waaahhhh!" Sticks pulled out her boomerang, unleashed a mighty battle cry.
Sticks rushed in while Drill Master fired blaster rounds. But then the badger girl toss her boomerang as it emitted an orange aura, and struck the top of the head. That damaged the bot as it was having a hard time coordinating attacks.
"Oh, down to earth are we? Well let old Digster send you PACKING!" Digster was seen approaching, ready to attack with his arm self.
"Oh yeah, try to hit me you buckle of bots!" Sticks taunts to see if she can bait the enemy over.
"Let me get her!" Tiny pilot on Digster issue as he was switching levers to help aid the bot.
"Break…Creak-creak…" Digster saw where Sticks ran, and jab it's shovel driller into the ground which released an energy burst shockwave. "Pow-Pow…" The tiny pilot released energy bolts to make Sticks run around after evading the shots.
"Oh boy, just my luck! I got two and a half on my tail!" Sticks ran before she dodged from a laser shot that nearly burn off her top fur. "Yikes!? Hey, no fair double teaming!" The angry badger protest before having to run while being chased.
"Ugh! LET GO OF ME!" Silver meanwhile, was struggling with Hosehead that used it's metal tentacles to restrain the guy in mid-ar.
"Hang tight Silver, I'm coming!" Sonic called out as he was about to run when…
"Oh, do you wanna save them? I thought you wanted to save that little wolf pup? Gee, tough call to make?" Louie Kaboom taunts Sonic with the mention of someone else in peril.
"Mach!? Where is he?" Sonic raise an eyebrow, wondering what this bucket of bots was up to.
"Follow me and I'll tell you!" After saying that, Louie Kaboom transform into his rocket form and fly off across the base.
"Sonic Go! We'll catch up!" Silver struggled to get free while asking Sonic to go after the enemy.
"Yeah! We won't take too long!" Sticks issue to say before yelping as a laser nearly fried her tail. "Yikes! And soon, I only have so little unburn fur on my tail!" The badger girl exclaim from not wanting to endure much more of this.
Sonic silently nods to leave these Zen-Monster robots to his friends. When the blue hedgehog dashed off towards the direction Louie Kaboom went to, Silver began to focus on his battle.
"Time you and I had an understanding!" Silver issue to say as he channel his aura at this moment. "PSYCHIC CONTROL!" Silver announced the name of this move which unleashes a psychokinetic wave that disorients the opponent.
"GRaauurrghh!?" Hosehead yelps which forces him to let go of Silver.
"One More!" Silver proclaim as he prepares another move. "PSYCHIC KNIFE!/POW!" Then Silver used his psychokinesis to fire a knife-like wave.
"BAM!/GRAAARRRRGH!" Hosehead yelps out loud when the attack blew up around him, causes energy bolts to spill out… "KABOOM!" Afterwards, the Zen-Monster explode in a bright flash as it was Silver's victory.
"Pant-Pant-Pant…Uh-oh!?" Sticks suddenly ran out of energy, only notice that she got cornered by Digster and Drill Master on both sides.
"Grrrugh…You're gonna pay for that stunt!" Drill Master issued from when the badger girl damaged some part of him.
"Boy, talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place? Course they never meant a drill and power-tool." Sticks exclaim from behind a wall and two enemies approach from the right and left side.
"Say bye-bye, wild vermin!" Digster issued forth, as he charges with his jackhammer.
Then both enemies attack with jack-hammer and drill, it looked like the end. But then Sticks did somersault maneuver, as she evaded the attack…
"BAM!/BREAK!" And what happened instead, the jack-hammer punctured the massive drill while having been broken off. "AUuurrghhh!?" Both Drill Master and Digster made yelping cries as they were damaged without warning.
"Sticks! Getaway!" Silver called out as he was coming in from above.
"Roger!" Sticks salutes before splitting the scene as the enemies turn to them.
"HOLD SMASH!" Silver charges his psychokinesis to push multiple objects over longer distances, all of which were explosives he secured.
"BAM-BAM!/ARRrughh!?/KA-BOOM! BOOM!" Digster and Drill Master roared as they suffered electrical burst before exploding afterwards. "Boom-Boom-Boom…" Many other explosions occurred as Silver took out many Cogs that were scattered around. When the dust cleared, many of the machine/robot Zen-Monsters were destroyed and some scattered around as junk….
"Few, thanks for the save." Sticks signs with relief to thank Silver for the save. "For a second there, I didn't know if my goose was cooked. Especially when we had to face three Unique Zen-Monsters." The badger girl was slightly worried, but it turn out alright in the end.
"We better try to find Sonic, I don't like him being alone in this unfamiliar territory." Silver stated on wanting to meet up with Sonic as fast as possible.
"That and he's hanging out with a guy who's LITERALLY a Bomb!" Sticks issue a fact that anyone can know is not a good sign.
"Right, that too." Silver slightly nods, the enemy drag Sonic away which does not bold well. "So come on!" He issue that they need to get going without delay.
Quickly the two headed off north to where Sonic was being lead to in the inner part of this floating fortress.
DEEP IN THE FORTRESS
The scene started to open as Sonic was rushing as a blue blur. The blue hedgehog had followed the blue rocket as it entered a strange building that lead to a strange open arena. When the rocket enemy transform to land on the spot, noticed Sonic arrived.
"Alright Kaboom! Start talking or you'll end up like all the other bots I faced." Sonic issue to threaten this guy of his only options. "In short, they all go kaboom in the end." The hedgehog made a sly remark on how he's dealt with robots before and how it doesn't end well for them.
"Hate to be a party pooper, but it's not me you gotta worry about. Chow!" Louie Kaboom issue to say in remarking the manner.
Then Louie Kaboom transforms into his rocket, and blast off through an opening in the ceiling.
"HEY!" Sonic shouted at seeing his only lead escape.
"Well-well, isn't this a familiar sight." A voice was heard echoing around the chamber. "Sonic the Hedgehog, having walk straight into my trap." This dialog was something any villain would love to use.
"I recognize that villain dialog anywhere." Sonic narrow his eyes from firmly knowing who was speaking. "Eggman?" The blue hedgehog asked from looking around the whole place.
"I'm now Egg Beater, thanks to Lord Zenn's evil magic." Then across the room, lights lit up to reveal a glass box office where Egg Beater sat in a comfy control chair. "I've become so much better, and now my robots are an even more perfect work then before." Egg Beater proclaim his superiority on what he's become now.
"Yeah, hate to break it to you, but we just trash Silo, and I say…me and my pals are now trashing your new bot pals outside." Sonic remarked the fact on what was likely going on from who's got the advantage.
"Ever the bravo hero, well this time I have a surprise for you. An opponent you CANNOT defeat so easily." Egg Beater remarked from having an opponent even Sonic won't easily win against.
Then something occurred as the entrance was blocked, and then underneath of the box office was another seal door. That door was rising up, as if preparing to allow something within out.
"As I recall, you came looking for your friend, well here's your answer." Egg Beater remarks in deciding to give Sonic's question on where Mach was an easy enough answer.
"What?" Sonic raise an eyebrow, not liking where this was going.
That's when something began to walk onto the scene, approximately almost 35 feet tall wolfman. This wolfman creature had dark fur and silver fur on the face sides, a yellow mane fur around the neck area and had yellow color eyes. The outfit was consist of a silver body suit with shoulder pads, black feature lines and bottom knee portions, metal paw boots with red nails, and metallic large cyber gauntlet fist. On the backside was a rocket engine that split into two wings. The only accessories were black sunglasses above and had a wolf emblem belt buckle around the waist. Sonic stared at this thing, but when he looked at it's furious eyes, something clicked…
"Mach…?" Sonic muttered in shock, this Zen-Monster couldn't really be…the Rookie he came to save?
"You like what I've done? It's a very dangerous creation for sure." Egg Beater exclaim to boast about the newest opponent before Sonic. "I knew that you were not only able to destroy those Zen-Monsters, but if any of them were once normal life, it free them. So I decided to try an experiment." The bot issue to explain a rather strange topic on the spot.
"Experiment!?" Sonic looked at the transformed doctor, unable to follow this conversation.
"Yes! How one could evolve the genetic makeup with a little Cyber-Tech Recreated Chaos Ooze and a little Dark Magic Mist from Dark Gaia." Egg Beater explain as two separate objects that science created clone versions of Chaos to even how Dark Gaia's Minions are made. "And behold! The new and improved successor to Mister formerly known as Sonic the Werehog?! Mach The Cyborg Wolf!" The guy reintroduced someone, now fully transform into a different being.
"AWOOOOOO!" Mach the Cyborg Wolf lets off a powerful howling sound that echoed across the chamber.
"Now Mach, show Sonic your new abilities." Egg Beater proclaim from wanting to see this creature take down Sonic.
"Grrrrrr…./POWwww!" That's when a growling Mach prepared himself, as the engines on his back made him fly in the air and across the room.
"Mach! Snap out of it! This isn't you!" Sonic exclaim as he used his speed to evade the incoming punches. "Come on, your not a bad guy, you're a hero!" Sonic tries to reach for the real Mach underneath this monster form.
"AROoooo! NRAAAH!" Mach suddenly lets off a snarl at Sonic dodging it's fast punches. "BWAAArrrhhh…/POWhhh!" Then without warning, it released an ultrasonic wave from a single howl.
"Uuugh!?" Sonic was knocked backwards to hit a nearby wall; aching from taking the full force of that blast he didn't expect.
"Oh, did I forget to mention his newly empowered sonic howling blaster. Oh well, you know it now." Egg Beater exclaim from never mentioning the extra feature until it's too late. "Be ready, for your about to get the beating of a lifetime!" He issue from knowing the next few hits won't be pretty.
"GRAARrrrrhh!?" Mach growls as he charges to deliver the final blow as Sonic braces himself. "Grrr…Rrrrrr!?" Suddenly, the body was glowing an emerald color as it was stopped in mid-air.
"WHAT!?" Egg Beater screamed out I shock, what happened when the victor was about to be announced.
"Hang in there Sonic!" That's when Silver was seen coming in through the open ceiling with Sticks as she legs go of the legs to land nearby.
"Hey guys, you made it." Sonic smiled a bit with relief to find friendly faces. "Listen, it's Mach. Egghead over there turn him into some weapon." Sonic explained what was going on for those that entered.
"Wait, that thing is Eggman? And that's Mach the Wolf?" Silver was nearly caught off guard when seeing the transformed figures by name. "Did Lord Zenn's magic do this to them?" The guy pondered if this was Lord Zenn's handy work.
"To Eggman, yes, but he did something else to Mach." Sonic slightly nods to confirm half of what he learn was the truth. "Normally I'm against beating down my friends, but it looks like if we want Mach back, got no choice." Sonic got serious, he doesn't wanna do this…but they gotta snap their friend out of this stage.
"Don't worry, we can out do this werewolf in our sleep!" Sticks smirks with pride to not be scared of facing such an enemy.
Mach growls from feeling like those here can say they can beat him. Soon Sticks was waving her boomerang as if catching the wolf man's attention by the old doggy want a stick routine. The badger girl runs and dodges the fast approaching jet hound that one punch could be fatal. At this time, Sonic and Silver devised a plan to end this in one shot.
"Sonic, we need to perform a combo move!" Silver issue that they gotta take this opponent down with a stronger hit.
"Yeah, but that one was strong enough to take down a Mega Zen-Monster, will it work and leave something of Mach behind?" Sonic was concern if they hit too hard, Mach might not come out of this.
"Don't worry, as long as you have the Gaia Crystals, it should destroy the dark magic." Sticks inform Sonic on what the crystals are meant to do. "I'll keep him busy!" She charged in to get Mach's attention. "Hey fido! I got a bone to pick with you! Course I don't have a bone on me, but you get the idea!" She was really trying to get the wolfman's attention with insult remarks.
"GRARRRrrugh!/PUNCH!" Mach roared in rage, then delivered a punch with the cyber arm that left a huge dent in the ground and Sticks luckily escape taking a hit.
"Okay, so poor choice of words? So sue me! Wait, on second thought…do I have anything you'll take from me?" Sticks yelped from almost getting hit, and while being random, she continued to distract.
"Ready…/Steady…" Silver and Sonic had to take careful aim until they saw the right moment…to strike! "NOW! PSYCHIC FIREBALLS!" That's when Sonic performed his Fireball Spin Dash combined with Silver's Telekinesis to channel scatter flames into several fireballs into one focus place for max impact.
"BASH!/GRAARRRR!" Mach roared when such a strong attack hit him straight into the gut and pushed him further back across the chamber. "AWRRRroo-WWwoooo…./KABOOM!?" Then electric bolts surge out, as Mach let off cries before falling backwards as energy exploded off him but the body remain intact.
"WHAT! NOoooooo!?" Egg Beater protest out loud after witnessing such a lose. "Rrrrrr….that accursed hedgehog! Ruining my plans once again! It seems I have no choice, but to end all my problems here." Egg Beater was tired of losing to Sonic, even now, and decided to end this matter. "Press!" That's when the bot pushed a 'SELF-DESTRUCT' label button that caused the whole area to flash up.
"Woah Doc!" Then Louie Kaboom flies in to transform on the spot beside Egg Beater. "Heh, and people say I blow things up when I'm angry." The guy was surprised that one wanted to blow the whole base just cause of one defeat.
"Nevermind! This place has served it's purpose. Our real goal was to reach the location below." Egg Beater issued about focusing on their other objective. "Now get us out of here!" He lecture for Kaboom to get them to safety.
"Sure thing! All aboard the explosive express!" Louie Kaboom replied off to give the mad doctor a ride.
Soon the others watch as Egg Beater had strapped a cable line around Louie Kaboom as they flew out of the ceiling. But the entire area was shaking, red siren lights and alarms were going off. This meant one thing if an enemy was leaving the place after it's undergoing an unknown vibration: it's set to blow!
"Uh Oh! My gut instincts are saying we better get out of here?" Sticks yelps from noticing that this whole place looks ready to go. "That or maybe it's my gut saying it's hungry? I haven't eaten in a while so…" The badger girl was uncertain which feeling she was getting at the time…
"It's clear we're not to make it out, I'll get us out." Silver issue to help get those away before it's too late.
"What about Mach?" Sonic asked from looking at the one they stopped.
"Grrrr…" Mach growls to get up, but falls down from still feeling hurt.
"Why hasn't he change back?" Silver raise an eyebrow, curious since they thought defeated creatures turn into Zen-Monsters return to their original forms.
"We'll figure it out later, we gotta scram like yesterday! The pouch can come along!" Sticks issue that it's best to chat about such things after they are safe.
Silver immediately used his psychic powers to help levitate everyone present in an aura field. And began to get them out through the ceiling as a countdown was going down for the big bang.
DOWN ON THE GROUND
The scene opens to where Silver was far enough from the base, just as it began to explode. The blast wave it unleashed knock everyone into a spiral fall. Luckily they landed near the ground to just roll across before coming to a complete stop. After slightly getting up after a rough landing, many began to rub any sores they got while Sticks wag herself to get the loose dirt off her fur.
"Ugh? Wow, don't know how many times I was once close enough to almost getting caught in such big explosions?" Sticks held her head after having survived having escape an exploding air fortress.
"Ehh, I experienced it so many times, it's a given." Sonic shrug off the feeling on having escape exploding bases a lot. "Right now, we gotta figure out what's wrong with Mach?" The blue hedgehog focused on the recovered ally who was still in an unconscious state while still in his new transform condition.
"Base on what you said Sticks, shouldn't the gems or even the crystals of Gaia's energy we wield have undone Lord Zenn's spell?" Silver raise an eyebrow from noticing that nothing has change after they defeated a transform ally.
"Normally yes, but looks like that newly dark version of your enemy has done something completely new?" Sticks scratch her chin, unable to understand what's the delay. "I think there might be a way, but I'm not certain if it'll work?" The badger girl was unclear if the next idea would work or not.
"Whatever it is, it's better then doing nothing." Sonic stated on wanting to help heal a friend first.
"Alright, well…I can give him a Gaia Gem, it might remove the dark magic inside." Sticks suggest a way that could undo the dark forces that turn Mach into this creature. "But I may have to ask you both to let your Gaia Crystals set in place. It might just heal him faster." The badger girl request this tall order from the hedgehogs.
"That would leave us vulnerable to any Zen-Monster, but it looks like we're not in any danger? So, I guess this is the only way." Silver stated from knowing what they lose, but losing a friend is not an option.
Sonic and Silver gave Sticks their crystals, as the badger girl used them with the gem. But while trying to undo the dark evil magic on Mach, someone was watching from afar. It turns out to be none other then Louie Kaboom.
"Hahahah….the fools! They actually decided to drop their guard." Louie Kaboom laughs off from seeing such a perfect chance. "Now's the time to get rid of them!" He issue from wanting to finish off those that pose a threat.
"Kaboom! What's the status of our enemies." Egg Beater's voice spoke through the com-link system.
"Well they survived your attempt to blow up the base, but now they're defenseless. I can take them down with ease." Louie Kaboom boast about having a chance to get ride of the Chosen Heroes on the spot.
"Very well, I'm heading towards the location of where the main prize is located. Don't mess this up!" Egg Beater lectures on the com-link, wanting nothing but absolute victory on their side.
"Please, unlike those other bots…I'm more unique! I'm an ELITE Class Zen-Monster!" Louie Kaboom boast that he's a different class entirely compared to other Zen-Monsters. "And that will give me the advantage. Plus, if I happen to become a Mega…" He issue on wanting something extra to make him more powerful.
"Say no more, our lord will provide." Egg Beater's voice replied on the com-link to grant the request.
Suddenly, dark clouds were beginning to stir around the atmosphere over the area. A loud rumbling was heard that began to attract attention from those below.
"Oh no! My hairs are standing on edge?" Sticks yelped from sensing that something was wrong. "Either I'm getting sick or something bad's coming this way?" The badger girl knew there was trouble, but the question is what.
"Oh, it's bad alright!" That's when something landed in front of the heroes. "Bad with a BIG BANG!" Louie Kaboom proclaim this as he enter the scene in a dramatic way.
"Louie Kaboom?" Sonic raise an eyebrow in seeing this weirdo show up now.
"Careful, he might not be alone!" Silver firmly stated as he levitates to see if the enemy brought friends to attack them.
"Oh, I'm here alright without an army." Louie Kaboom explains the matter of not having anyone else around. "Cause what I bring, you won't stand a chance." The guy was boasting like he had already won.
"Hmm?" Sticks suddenly had her focus directed away from Louie Kaboom to see the dark clouds. "What, what's that up in the sky?" She muttered out, spotting something that stuck out while trying to blend in the dark cloud background.
A strange shadowy figure in a dark hooded cloak was seen hovering in the skies. While the face was never seen, they held what was shaped like some axe pole. The lightning was attracted to the weapon, and then the wielder directed the bolts….directly onto Louie Kaboom.
"HRRRaaah-HARHARHARRRRRH!?" Louie Kaboom lets off an evil laughter, as many witness energy particles around him before making his body grow enormous. "I GOT MORE POWER, THEN YOU CAN DREAM!" Now many witness Louie Kaboom 80 feet tall, newly upgraded features: equipped a sword gauntlet with a face on the right arm and a missile-like gauntlet with a face in it on the left arm.
"Sticks, I think we may need some help?" Silver issue from seeing they got a giant problem on hand.
"The process isn't done yet, you gotta hold him off as best you can!" Sticks shook her head that the process of helping Mach has yet to finish.
"What are we suppose to do, hit him with rocks?" Silver raise an eyebrow on what else they can do if they don't have the Gaia Crystals to power them up.
"Well maybe some really big rocks, know what I mean?" Sonic smirks to give Silver a hint on that statement.
Silver got Sonic's idea before the silver hedgehog took off while Sonic used his Super Speed to draw attention. But Sticks seem a bit busy from caring for Mach's treatment and look to the sky. And the figure that was there, was gone without a trace.
"That thing in the sky, it couldn't be what I think it was? Was it?" Sticks muttered under her breath, as if knowing what she saw yet had doubts.
Sonic was zipping around some abandon city area, as Louie Kaboom was attacking by striking his right sword arm. The giant enemy struck every spot to hit the blue hedgehog, but nothing was working.
"HOLD STILL!" Louie Kaboom yelled in rage, the blue hedgehog was not making this easy for him.
"What's wrong Kaboom, runnin' a little low on fuse?" Sonic remarked to taunt the guy to keep his focus on him.
But while Louie Kaboom was attacking nonstop, nobody witness that Silver was using his psychokinetic powers to pick up various debris and mashes them into a giant ball many times his own size.
"Urrrgh….This better work!" Silver was focusing extra hard to prepare this very large and heavy attack. "METEOR SMASH!" Silver announced forth this attack's name.
That's when Silver throws the gigantic ball of wreckage that rolled along the ground. At this moment, Louie Kaboom was caught off guard, as the attack dealt a big enough damage on him. Then Silver was trying to repeat that same attack again that had enough affect on the enemy.
"You can't defeat the Power I WIELD!" Louie Kaboom proclaimed, as he raised his right sword in the air.
"Thous…/Bam-Bam-Bam!" Soon blue lightning was shot out from the sword, destroying the next meteor Silver had thrown.
"Ahhhh!?" Silver cried out when he was hit by one of the shots, causing him to cancel gathering the wreckage for another attack.
"SILVER!" Sonic shouted when seeing a friend in trouble.
"Wahahah-Woooh!" Louie Kaboom laughs off before aiming his left missile-like gauntlet out. "Pow-Pow-Pow…/Bam-Bam, BAM!" Multiple explosions happened that caused Sonic to evade.
"Oh boy, without the Gaia Crystals, those two are like sitting ducks." Sticks seemed worried that things were not going so well. "Course, they're hedgehogs and not ducks, but that's beside the point!" The badger girl exclaim from randomly sorting out a fact least important right now.
"Hahahah…Watch me Lord Zenn, as I strike down these pesky hedgehogs! For you!" Louie Kaboom proclaimed up to the skies of his action to prove his devotion.
"Man, the guy is really packing a lot?" Silver slowly levitates himself up, holding his head from recovering what happened to him.
"Don't worry Silver, it's time we defuse this bomb!" Sonic issue forth in knowing they gotta bring this bomb man down.
"Nurhahah…Woah!" Louie Kaboom laughs off before aiming his missile-like gauntlet arm out. "Pow-Pow-Pow…/Bam-Bam, BAM!" Multiple explosions were fired as Silver just barely managed to pull him and Sonic out of the frying pan.
"Grrrr…" Mach lets off a low growl, as the darken fur was changing to a blue color.
"Hugh…I think something's happening?" Sticks yelps upon seeing the changes thanks to the Gaia Gem and Crystals.
"Grrrr…" Mach suddenly awakens, and flew off towards Louie Kaboom. "HOWLING CANNON!" That's when Mach released an ultrasonic wave from a single howl which was directed not at the hedgehogs, but at someone else.
"BOOM-BOOM!/Woah-Woah, Waahhh…?" Louie Kaboom yelps from the sudden surprise attack but was still standing. "Pow-Pow-Pow, Bam-Bam, BAM!" Then fires another round from the missile-like gauntlet that caused explosions where Mach flew.
"Sonic! Take these!" Mach spins in the air, then tossed the Gaia Crystals to Silver and Sonic to catch.
"Thanks Mach! Now for a little something…" Sonic smirks from feeling the energy from the crystal power them up. "AIR BOOST!" Sonic increased his speed in midair and fly immense distances.
"Add a little PSYCHOKINESIS!" Silver proclaimed from focusing his mind to create a psychic move around Sonic during his speed motion.
"PSYCHIC AIR BOOST!" Silver and Sonic announced, using Psychic powers to increase Sonic's boost move going faster while aiming at the big target.
"KABOOM!/NURRAGH!" The powered up move exploded on Louie Kaboom who took the impact. "You rotten goody-two-shoes!" The guy complained as he managed to just barely survive that move. "Woah…hahahahh…" Louie Kaboom may have been damaged, but he laughs as if not fearing the tide turning.
"If using two combine moves aren't enough, what happens if we try three?" Silver looked to Sonic and Mach, thinking maybe a triple combo move can work best.
"Well we won't know until we try? Hey Mach, ready to dish some payback!" Sonic grins to offer their friend a chance to help them take down this bomb.
"I'm ready!" Mach replied from gearing himself up, ready to dish payback.
At this moment, the light the heroes emitted covered their bodies, as they looked to Louie Kaboom with determination to end this fight.
"Gurhahahahh…" Louie Kaboom laughs as if ready to take whatever was gonna be thrown at him.
"PSYCHIC BOOST CANNON!" Sonic, Silver and Mach announced a new triple join combo move.
At that moment, Mach unleashed his Howling Cannon, as Sonic used his Air Boost to perform a Spin Dash while Silver used his powers to merge the two into a powerful Spin Dash Projectile. It was heading so fast, it broke the sound barrier to completely catch the enemy off guard.
"KABOOM!/WAaahh…Urrgh-Haaurgh!?" Louie Kaboom took the powerful bolt impact, as he was knock and rolled across the ground. "Urgh…Oh…aah!?" The guy rolled on his backside, and looked heavily damaged now.
"Oh yeah! Look's like he's done for the count!" Sonic lands on the ground, seeing that move had gotten the enemy completely no questions ask.
"Uarrgh…" Louie Kaboom moans in pain, some portion of him was even on fire. "Lord Zenn, forgive me…" Slowly the guy stood up with his arms stretched out to all sides. "I've become Unworthy of you! Grrrugh-Aaugh!?" With a final moment of last words, Louie Kaboom fell onto the ground. "KABOOM!" And then exploded on site without any warning which signaled the Zen-Monster's defeat.
With the enemy defeated, everyone soon regroups with Sticks. Many were soon looking up at Mach The Wolf, still maintaining the form as Mach The Cyber Wolf except in a different color theme.
"Boy Mach, are we glad your back. You know, back to your old self and helping fight the good fight." Sonic smirks to give a positive note on their friend for the save.
"Thank you Sonic, to tell the truth…I was unsure if I could come back?" Mach replied a bit uncertain about the situation here. "It's as if I fell into a dark abyss, and I couldn't find my way out. But then a light found me, and helped guide me back to see you needed help." He explained what he experienced, it was like everything was dark until something help shine his way back.
"That's good to hear, but…how is it your still…not entirely yourself?" Silver raise an eyebrow to notice that Mach was not all the way back.
"Egg Beater said he wanted to mix technology and magic together to turn me into the perfect weapon." Mach explained his case of what had transpired that his change had not been reverse. "Somehow, I think because you guys defeated the darkness, I was able to come out of it. However, my body had undergone cybernetic changes with cyborg parts." The cyborg wolf explain from looking over at himself, knowing there's a lot of changes that was done to him.
"I see how it is, it makes sense." Sticks held her chin to ponder about what she's heard. "The dark magic can be undone, sure. But if someone tampers with the body, it might result in something bad." She states a possible uneven action after someone was transform by dark magic that changing back seems difficult. "Which means he might not return completely back to normal, without endangering himself that those implanted machines have done. At least, not as long as Lord Zenn remains a active?" The badger girl explains the basic concept on viewing the situation.
"And you know this how?" Silver raise an eyebrow, never guessing Sticks could know so much despite her character.
"Lucky guess." Sticks simply stated which made everyone form sweat-drops; apparently it was all base on a guess. "That reminds me, the gem I gave to you Mach, has it changed?" The badger girl asked from wanting to know a big answer to her question.
"The gem?" Mach then revealed what Sticks gave her; but it was the same gem as before. "No, it hasn't?" The cyborg wolf was confused, uncertain why this was important.
"Oh boy, looks like we struck out? He's not among the Seven Heroes?" Sticks scratch her head from realizing that Mach was not a possible candidate like Sonic and Silver are.
"No problem, Mach still helped us out. So we'll just keep on searching." Sonic smiles to see that even if Mach isn't a champion, he's a good warrior to help them fight the good fight.
"Oh that's right, we have to hurry after Egg Beater!" Mach issue from realizing something important now. "He's found something we can't let it fall into evil's hands. Worse, his strength might be almost more then what we did taking down Louie Kaboom if he has acquired the prize he sought for Lord Zenn." The guy explains things which sounds very important and majorly concerning.
"That doesn't sound good?" Sticks exclaim from having a bad feeling about what she heard. "That Louie Kaboom character, I think he might have been more then a Unique Class, more like an Elite Zen-Monster." Sticks expressed her thoughts on having judge how strong the enemy that was taken down was by the scale of such difficulty.
"An Elite Zen-Monster? You never mention those before?" Silver raise an eyebrow in being the first to hear this, he thought there were only three types of Zen-Monsters: Troopers, Unique and Mega Class.
"Basically stronger individuals compared to other Unique Zen-Monsters. There are likely those that have more authority power over the rest." Sticks explain the matter of what separates an Elite from the Unique class of Zen-Monsters. "It's even worse when they become Mega Class and are Mega Elite Zen-Monsters. And base on how hard a struggle you had, it makes sense." Sticks felt certain about how fighting against stronger enemies like that means they're worse when they are bigger and more powerful then before.
"Then whatever's the reason the doc's gone after, better make sure he doesn't keep it." Sonic narrow his eyes, firmly knowing there's more problems about to rise if they don't solve this.
"Hmm, Sticks, something wrong?" Silver noticed that the badger girl was distracted.
"Hugh, no…I thought I saw a weird fly? Anyway, we better hurry!" Sticks brushed off to mention this matter while no one saw what she did next. "Maybe I didn't see it, but unless I've gone crazier, then…We may have a bigger problem if the one helping Lord Zenn is actually…no, it can't be…" The badger girl was having some difficult muttering to herself about who she saw, but whoever it is might be an bigger then surviving an Elite Zen-Monster.
No sooner did Sticks get picked up by Mach as he flies off in the air. Sonic used his speed to zip through and Silver levitates himself, as they followed where the cyborg wolf was taking them to find Egg Beater. However, the mysterious cloak figure lands by the remains of Louie Kaboom. Then with a wave of it's concealed weapon, dark magic began to converge and reshape into a large red missile. The scene darkens here, as something terrible was on the way.
NOTES: Zen-Monsters that appeared: Digster, Drill Master, Hosehead, and Louie Kaboom are all monsters from Power Rangers series.

Much of the Louie Kaboom battle is from episode 'The Joke's On Blue' in Power Rangers Zeo TV series.
In the next chapter, the heroes find Egg Beater but discover that he has one of their allies: it's Tails! Just when making a rescue attempt, a Witch appears and turns the beloved Two-Tailed Fox into a powerful Mega Class Zen-Monster: Kurama The Nine-Tailed Fox! As Everyone deals with stopping Tails, Mach chases after Egg Beater from acquiring something else hidden nearby: a Chaos Emerald! But there's something else that lies hidden away, but can it be enough to stop the newly invincible Egg Beater that's transform into a giant upgraded Zen-Monster? The heroes will have to give it their all to win this battle before solving other mysterious at hand.
