A.N. — Today is the first actual Room of Requirement DA meeting, and I've just about run out of DA members who I haven't written already or scheduled for a future date. Here's the last book-only one (there's movie-only members, too) I had for this spot; the next meeting on the 20th probably won't be covered at all.

282. Anthony Goldstein

Religion didn't seem to factor into most magicals' lives. Consequently, Anthony Goldstein never received flak for his Jewish faith at Hogwarts. Sure, he was picked on for being a Hufflepuff-ish Ravenclaw, and Slytherins found reasons to denigrate him out of principle, but at least his beliefs were free from ridicule.

Anthony was sure some pagan traditions and precepts had trickled down the ages to be subconsciously adopted by British witches and wizards, but for him his muggle religion came first. His adherence to this aspect of his pre-Hogwarts days hadn't biased people's opinions, a fact he was continually grateful of.
