A.N. — With me scrapping what I'd planned for yesterday, I won't be covering the cursed necklace incident at all (Leanne's far earlier drabble did touch on it, though). My original idea for here might wind up as a future one-shot, but without its counterpart, the reason I paired Madam Rosmerta with today's subject in the first place is gone. So, this is a fallback.

285. Katie Bell

Having Harry Potter join Gryffindor's quidditch team was a big relief for Katie Bell.

For one, their chances for winning went way up. But it also meant Katie wasn't the baby of the team anymore (not that she'd held the title for long), with all the requisite teasing and skepticism over her belonging. Obviously, the Boy Who Lived and his innate flying talent wouldn't be ribbed quite like she was, but Katie still felt the Lions' camaraderie improved with Harry's inclusion.

Game results might skew things, but for now, Katie felt like she was flying even when on the ground.
