A.N. — I've got a couple of IRL friends with this birth date. Sadly, I am not doing them much justice by the notoriety of the character for today. He is, however, a teammate of yesterday's subject. Also, if you've got some obscure character suggestions, now is the time. I have three openings left between now and November 10.

286. Ritchie Coote

Ritchie Coote was a nobody before he made the quidditch team; it was very un-Gryffindor of him, not standing out. But it was like he was making up for lost time once he got onto the pitch.

His captain, Harry Potter, appreciated the new beater's enthusiasm. No one player could match the concentrated chaos that was the Weasley twins, but Ritchie always gave one hundred percent to prove his worth. With fellow newbie Jimmy Peakes being the brute force to Ritchie's precise power, Gryffindor's chances at the Cup looked favorable yet again. Ritchie would settle for finally being a somebody.
