Izuku was preparing his supplies the night before his first day and that's when Zoro knocked on his open door.

"Hey hero student." Zoro greeted leaning on his doorframe.

Izuku blushed in embarrassment being referred to as such "Ah yeah."

"Need any help?"

Izuku looked around at his things "Ah no, I'm all good."

"Alright then, I'll leave you to it."

"Ah wait!"

Zoro turned around and saw that Izuku ran to him "Do you uhm…do you think you can give me your uniform tie from UA?"

He raised his eyebrow at what he's asking and found no problem with it, but he is curious "Sure, why do you need it?"

"Well, since you're an alumnus, maybe I could use it as a sort of good luck I guess?" Izuku tried to reason not only to his older brother but to himself too.

"Alright, I'll go get it for you." He agreed and stood straight to go to his room. Izuku pumped his fist in celebration. Zoro paused before looking at him "Though, I haven't worn that tie majority of the school year."

"Eh?"

Zoro shrugged at that "I always take it off when training, plus the teachers never told me off."

"E-even your homeroom teacher?!"

Zoro simply nodded "The one that expelled everyone except you?"

"One and the same."

When Izuku was too shocked to say anything he quickly fetched it from his old stuff and went back to the still stunned younger brother making him chuckle "Do you still want it?"

"YES! I mean," Izuku cleared his throat "A spare tie wouldn't hurt." He claimed sheepishly holding his hand out and looking away. That's where Zoro placed it with a smirk on his face. But when he was handed the tie, the weight was much heavier.

Izuku looked at his hand and found a thick leather bound green journal on his hand. He quickly brought it closer to him looking at it closer and opening it founding the leaves to be blank instead of lined ones. And touching the paper, the paper was sturdy and not thin. Izuku looked up at his older brother who was smiling at him admire his gift.

"That old notebook of yours is on the verge of falling apart." Zoro cocked his head towards his desk where the small notebook that's been through many of his revisions and the pages already on the verge of tearing.

"Consider it my gift to you. Make sure to fill that up, though I believe I won't have to worry about that. Do tell if you ever need another one."

Izuku hugged the thick journal to his chest and looked up at his older brother "Thank you so much nii-chan! I'll take good care of it!" he said before quickly stuffing the journal to his bag.

Once he has slung his bag to his back, the two headed for the door where they put on their shoes and when Inko saw them she couldn't help but fuss over her younger son.

"Do you have your handkerchief?"

"Yes mom."

"Tissues, did you pack tissues?"

Izuku looked up at Zoro his eyes asking for help but the only response he got from his was his shoulder shaking from holding back laughter. "That's enough, mom. I asked him earlier he's good to go." He helped him after getting enough of the amusing scene.

"That's good, that's good."

Once Izuku was finished, he stood up and looked at her "I'm off now, mom."

Inko looked at her boys on their way out and she couldn't help but get misty eyed "My boys are so cool."

The two were taken aback by her statement but smiled at her. Zoro opened the door for the two of them "See ya later, let's go."

"Mhm!"

And with that, the two of them walked out of their apartment and onto the hero world.

Once Izuku arrived at the school, he was introduced by the long hallways inside the school. Thankfully he was easily able to find his classroom. Class 1-A. The very same section his big brother was in. Izuku gulped at that since there are chances that the teacher who expelled almost all of the class will be his homeroom teacher.

Nevertheless, he took a deep breath and opened the massive door and there he already saw a commotion. He saw the blue haired guy scolding Kacchan.

"You barbarian! Put your feet down, you are disrespecting the supplies our upperclassmen used!"

"Get off my ass until I kick yours." Bakugo growled already finding one of his classmates annoying.

The blue haired guy flinched at his statement "Why don't we start over? I'm Iida Tenya from Soumei Private Academy!" he tried to introduce himself as a way to not cause a commotion.

"Soumei?! An elitist school huh? That where you got that stick up your ass?" he mocked making Iida flinch again.

"How vulgar! You sure you want to be a hero?"

Izuku quickly walked up to Bakugo and grabbed his legs and slammed it down to the ground "What the-?!"

"That's not very nice Kacchan." Midoriya scolded with a smile which Bakugo recognized all too well. Apparently when you're a Midoriya, smiling innocently is their way of warning people. He saw Auntie Inko do it, and well…Zo-nii could only smirk and that scares him.

Midoriya's gesture got the attention of everyone in the room. He put a hand on Bakugo's shoulder and gave it a warning squeeze before facing Iida "I'm sorry about that he's a friend of mine. I'm Midoriya Izuku from Aldera Middle School."

"I-I see I'm-"

"It's okay, I heard you. Nice to meet you Iida."

"Midoriya, you discovered the structure of the exam yourself, correct?"

Izuku looked at him confused "Huh?"

"I did not. I underestimated you and for that I apologize. You clearly are the better student!"

"N-n-no I didn't—"

"Ah plain looking guy with curly hair!"

Midoriya clenched his hand on instinct at hearing that making Bakugo yelp in pain and finally pulling his hand off his shoulder "For fuck's sake." He mumbled stretching his shoulder.

Izuku turned to look and it was indeed the nice girl "Present Mic was right, you passed! That's to be expected you were so cool back then saving and punching left and right!" she said doing small punching motions. "Smash smash smash!"

Izuku waved his hand in front of him "Ah no no , I just-huh?" he paused when he noticed someone on the ground on the floor. His first thought would be 'Caterpillar?' but then he realized it was a man in a sleeping bag.

Other students followed his gaze and were equally baffled at the sight. "If you're here to socialize, then pack your things and go."

"Welcome to the Hero Course." He almost mumbled out before slurping one of those energy jellies. He stood up and slowly got out of the sleeping bag "Well, at least you all noticed me and had the decency to behave yourselves."

Izuku observed the teacher and quickly connected the dots. 'The Erasure Hero: Eraserhead. He matches nii-chan's description.' Izuku gulped after knowing this fact. 'Oh no'

"I'm Aizawa Shota, your homeroom teacher."

'OH NO!' Izuku was low-key panicking now. He thinks he can recall Zoro saying Aizawa-sensei sometimes.

"Homeroom teacher?!" the rest of the students all exclaimed in unison.

Aizawa grabbed a PE uniform from his sleeping bag and showed it to the students. "Now wear this and get your ass on the field."

Suddenly, all the students found themselves in the school field "Quirk Apprehension Test?"

"But what about the opening ceremony? Or orientation?" Uraraka spoke up.

"If you want to be a hero there's no time for that kind of leisure activities." Everyone had a silent reaction to that statement "UA is famous for its freedom," Aizawa turned his head to the students "That goes the same for the teachers."

"You all have done in before, right? A physical test without using quirks." He turned to look at a green haired student "Midoriya, you're the first in the practical exam correct?"

Everyone turned to look at him with Bakugo grumbling at how he was beat. Aizawa ignored them "What was your ball throw record in middle school?"

"Oh um," Izuku scratched his head trying to recall "It was 103m I think." That made everyone flinch considering he did that with no quirk.

Aizawa felt his eyebrow twitch already experiencing déjà vu. "Here," he threw a ball to him "Try using your quirk this time."

He was led inside a white circle "As long as you'r inside there, you can do whatever. Give me your best."

Izuku tossed the ball in the air a few times gauging its weight before bouncing it on the ground. He activated his quirk to its full potential and proceeded to throw the ball. He only applied his quirk on his fingertip and that was enough to propel the ball out of sight with a resounding shockwave around him.

Everyone covered their face to block the wind headed to their direction.

"First, understand your limits." Aizawa looked at the device to look at the result "Then surpass said limit as much as you can. That's how you get a solid foundation." He said showing the students Izuku's result.

'984.3m' the device displays

Everyone expressed their excitement. But they were interrupted "THE FUCK?!" Bakugo exclaimed his finger pointed at his childhood friend.

"Huh?"

"The fuck?!"

Izuku sheepishly scratched the back of his head laughing nervously "Maybe later?"

"The fuck?!"

"Watch your language." Aizawa warned pocketing the device.

"984 meters? That's insane." Said a yellow haired boy

"Wow, this looks so fun!" a pink girl said and that statement seemed to gain a reaction from their teacher.

"I can use my quirk freely?! I love the Hero Course!"

"Fun? Do you plan to have that attitude for the next three years?" Aizawa smirked "Alright then. The student with the lowest point in these challenges will be considered as dead weight and expelled."

'THERE IT IS!' Izuku freaked out in his head.

"Teachers are free to do whatever they want with the students." Aizawa lifted the hair covering his face and gave them a mad grin "Welcome to UA's Hero Course. Do your best to survive."

"E-expelled?!" Uraraka asked "Today's the first day, right? Even if it's not, that's so unfair!"

"Do you think natural disasters, calamities and those reckless villains are fair?" Aizawa looked over the class "The world is full of instability. As heroes, it's your job to turn the tides."

"The next three years will be spent molding you into ideal heroes that the public can rely on. Don't expect it to be a cake walk. After all, we are striving to go beyond. Plus Ultra."

And so the quirk apprehension test started with s 50m sprint. Izuku witnessed his classmates use their quirks in creative ways. He wishes he brought his journal!

"That's a very interesting quirk!" Izuku said approaching Iida who was drinking orange juice.

"Ah you think so? Though I can only switch to third gear for 50m."

"Really? I can't wait to see what other things you could do! Maybe accelerating…does the quirk depend on fuel if so what fuel…can different fuels do different effe—" his mumbling was interrupted when a fist met the back of his head.

"Cut that shit, it's our turn." Bakugo grabbed the back of his collar to the start line.

"Ow."

Iida watched the two with concern but figured they must be close if they let each other hit them like that.

The two of them prepped themselves and side eyed each other before returning their focus on the track. When they were signaled to go, they did their best to outrun each other.

Bakugo let out a big explosion propelling him, and Izuku activated One for All on his legs and that gave him enough power to launch himself quite a ways away with every step.

Izuku got 3.02 secs

Bakugo got 4.13 secs.

Bakugo grabbed Izuku's collar "Damn it!"

"Don't mind" he comforted patting him on the shoulder with a smile.

Aizawa was about ready to break off what looked like the beginnings of a fight but watched in amusement as they never got hostile.

The next test was a grip test. Izuku smiled at that reminded of the multiple grip trainers of his older brother and how he could almost use most of them. With that, combined with a dash of hi s quirk, he got an impressive 700kg grip.

"Wow! You even beat that guy with multiple arms!" a guy with red hair praised him oh uh thanks.

"Yeah that octopus guy! By the way, do you think he does lewd stuff wi—"

"Hey come take a look at mine." The red haired guy held out his own grip tester. Izuku watched in fascination as his arm instantly hardened and gripped with all his might and got himself a 346kg result.

"Wow your quirk is so cool!"

"Not as cool as the octopus guy. He can do all kinds of-"

The two ignored the bubble haired kid and walked away "Thanks! Yours is very powerful too! But I guess you have to build yourself up too if you were to use it."

"Oh yeah, I broke my whole arm when I first used my quirk."

"For real?! I only scratched my eye." He said pointing to the scar "That hurt a lot too."

"I guess we belong to the hurt themselves with their first quirk use group."

The red haired kid laughed "Definitely! Kirishima Eijiro."

"Midoriya Izuku."

The rest of the test went by quickly to Izuku since some of these are what his training would include everyday anyway. And he's pretty confident that he'll at least get a decent score.

And suddenly, the announcement of the rankings is upon them with some of the students tense, fearing that they'll be the unfortunate student at last place.

"I won't bother calling you all out one by one so I'll just display it." Aizawa said and the device he's holding projected the rankings.

Izuku found himself shocked that he got third, he could even hear Bakugo grinding his teeth when he saw his name on the fourth place. Curiosity took over Izuku so he looked at the last place.

He couldn't even look at the name when he heard someone fall to their knees. He recognized the kid that tried interacting with him during the grip test.

"Th-that's not fair!"

"I thought we already had this conversation."

"No! This has to be a bluff no way!" the small guy insisted his hand going to his hair.

Aizawa was quick to activate his quirk, his eyes glowing and his hair levitating along with his scarf which he threw and wrapped in the student's hands "You think throwing a tantrum would change things?"

"W-wait, I thought your expulsion threat was only a ruse!" a girl with ponytail hair interrupted.

Izuku decided to speak up "Don't you guys remember?"

"Remember what?" Iida asked

Bakugo scoffed "The sole survivor of 1-A."

"Roronoa Zoro." Midoriya finished for him. That had everyone gasping in shock.

"The number 8 hero?!" the pink girl exclaimed and looked at their homeroom teacher "He was your student?!"

"My only student at that time. He was the only one to show potential in this career among his classmates. Naturally, I expelled 19 of them and was left with only him."

"Crap…" mumbled the short haired girl with earphone jacks as her ears when she realized how serious the situation is.

"As expected from the master swordsman of the dark." Someone mumbled but Izuku couldn't find who it belonged to.

Aizawa looked down at the kicked student then back to the rest of the class "Consider this as an example on how you lot shouldn't slack off in this school. You guys are training to be heroes, you're no normal student. Now go back to your room, your syllabus is prepared there for you."

And so class 1-A returned to their classroom one student down, all of them shaken at the sudden expulsion of a classmate.

Bakugo got tired of the gloomy atmosphere in the classroom making him scoff. That got everyone's attention to him "You're all a bunch of cowards. You find out our homeroom teacher produced a hero strong enough to be in the top 10 and this is how you react?!"

Kirishima spoke up too "He must be looking out for us right? He's a pro, he must know if we could handle things in the future."

"That may be so." The ponytailed girl agreed.

"Come on, man. Let us relax for a bit. We're just a little shaken up." The guy with a strange shaped elbow said.

"Well, can't fault you for that." Kirishima agreed.

Izuku ignored the class' conversation in favor of writing down everything he's seen in his brand new notebook starting with his homeroom teacher and then to his classmates. But him being in his own world, he failed to notice that his mumbling increased in volume and everyone was now looking at him.

Bakugo grabbed the thick journal and used that to smack Izuku in the head "Ow! What was that for?!"

"Cut that shit, deku. It's creepy!"

Izuku grabbed his journal back and smacked Bakugo on the head "And you take your feet off the table."

The sight of their bickering somehow lightened the room's mood with some of them even giggling at them.

The school day was short since it was only orientation…well orientation for the other students. Bakugo and Midoriya were on their way out and were greeted by a few of their classmates waiting for them.

"Iida, Uraraka, Kirishima and…I don't believe we've met."

The girl with pink hair and skin posed "Ashido Mina, nice to meet ya!"

"Nice to meet you too."

"Who the fuck are these extras?" Izuku roughly placed a hand on his shoulder again and squeezed silencing him.

"Great to see you guys. What got you waiting for us?"

Kirishima eyed Bakugo warily "Well, Iida and Uraraka here wanted to go to the train station with you so I basically invited Mina and myself in."

"You are very welcome to come with us, acquainting ourselves with future co workers will prove helpful in our future careers!" Iida said his arm doing chopping motions.

"So Deku you ready to go?" Uraraka asked

"Deku?" Kirishima repeated confused.

"Hm? Isn't that what explodey guy called him?"

"What'd you call me round face?!" Izuku held him back by the back of his blazer.

"Don't mind him. My name is Midoriya Izuku, Deku is just a nickname my friend here gave me. Right Kacchan?"

Bakugo struggled to get his grip off him "Don't call me that!"

Mina bursted out in laughter "You guys are hilarious!"

"Hilarious your face!"

Bakugo flinched when he felt Izuku's hand on top of his head. He turned to look at him and there it is, the smile "Nii-chan would be very interested in hearing about our first day, right? I wonder how he'll train you if-"

"GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME FINE NOW OFF!" he screamed

"Is he always like this?" Kirishima asked

"You'll get used to it."

And with that, all of them proceeded to head to the station chatting about anything under the sun. Since they all have to take different trains, Bakugo and Midoriya were left on their own on the way home.

Bakugo nudged Izuku's leg with his to get his attention "Huh?"

"So?"

"So what?"

Bakugo sighed in exasperation "Your quirk, jackass!"

"Oh! Well, we don't really know the details but it only manifested this year."

"Lucky, bastard huh."

"You could say that." Izuku smiled nervously. Bakugo never asked again, but he has a feeling that he's not satisfied with the answer and decided to just let it go.

For now.

The second day of attending UA, he's still excited about what more they could offer. Mandatory classes in the morning, which he knew about since there are days where he could hear his big brother complain about it. But he could tell some of his classmates were bored and surprised that normal classes would be included in the hero course.

In lunchtime,

"Lunch Rush!" Izuku exclaimed with stars in his eyes holding the tray he just bought. He quickly took his journal out "Um, would it be ok for me to ask a few questions?"

Bakugo grabbed the back of his blazer "You're holding up the line."

"Bu-but Kacchan." He whined

"SHUT UP!"

The exchange was witnessed by everyone in the vicinity watching it with fascination as how they watch this intimidating guy drag this other guy trying to get to the hero cook.

And afternoon classes, basic heroics.

Izuku was subtly shaking in excitement as he sat on his desk and busied himself on his journal.

The sound of the door being roughly opened and the resounding sound of the person's voice entering "I AM HERE, COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!" instantly got everyone's attention.

Everyone's pleased reactions are felt throughout the room. Izuku didn't even have to pretend to not know the hero. The sight of his favorite hero automatically has him fanboying "All Might!"

"He really is a teacher here!" Kirishima said pumping his fist excited about the confirmed fact.

"That costume is so cool, it's giving me goosebumps!" a student with a tail stated.

All Might walked up to the podium and placed his fists on his hips "I will be teaching you Basic Heroics! This is a subject that provides training to teach you the basics of being a hero!"

The hero flexed his muscles "Now without further ado, today's activity will be," he pulled out a card "A Battle Trial!"

"Battle Trial!" Bakugo growled in excitement

"On the first day?" Izuku asked in general.

"Not only that!" All Might pointed to the wall where sections of it started to protrude out.

The students looked at it expressing their interest and excitement. "Your hero costumes! Made according to the Quirk Report and Personal Needs submitted earlier."

All of them cheered finally getting the chance to wear what they only wrote about in their application "Once you're done, please gather at field B!"

"Hey Deku! Finally submitting yours? Took forever."

Izuku sweat dropped "Kacchan, you're also handing yours with me."

"Hah?!" Bakuho started a few sparks of explosion on his hand "We would've submitted it earlier if you just made up your mind!"

"Well sorry if I didn't want to design my costume like you!"

"You like punching stuff right?! You better add some brass or something stronger knuckles!" he said trying to pull his form to see it.

Izuku kept a tight grip on it "I already did! Now let go!"

Izuku secured his knuckles on top of his gloves. He looked over at his childhood friend and saw him proudly putting on those grenade gauntlets. "You're welcome." He mumbled to himself since he helped him in designing it.

He looked down at the rest of his hero costume and thought back to how he got it.

"Izuku!"

He looked up from his work and saw her going through her purse and pulled out a green jumpsuit "I got you another gift to celebrate your admission!" the jumpsuit was in dark green color reminding him of his brother's coat "I saw your notebook and saw your design. I hope you don't mind the color."

"You mean this?" Zoro asked opening the notebook to the page she's referring to.

"Ah you're home?!" they both exclaimed

"Are you a rabbit?" Izuku snatched the notebook from him "Ah, i-it's uh, based on All Might!"

His older brother laughed "Should've figured, of course it is." He looked at the jumpsuit in their mother's hand "You wanted us to match huh, mom."

"u-uhm…w-well. I couldn't help it! Remember you two sometimes matched when you were kids?"

He chuckled before ruffling his little brother's hair. "Gotta keep our family name on brand."

Izuku laughed at that before taking the jumpsuit from Inko looking at it already thinking on how it looks similar to the one in his notebook. It's gift from his mother.

'I'll wear it proudly.' He thought and proceeded to walk to field B with the other students.

Once they were nearing field B, he heard All Might's voice. "Your costume is just as important, everyone! From now onwards you need to look like a hero!"

And just in time, everyone walked to the bright light giving a clear view of everyone's attire with All Might smiling at them "Not bad, everyone looks good! Shall we begin then newbies?"

Everyone then started mingling with one another throwing comments on each of their costume. "Deku?!" Uraraka called prompting him to look at her in turn "You look great! You exude a friendly nature that makes me feel safe!"

"Is that so? Then I'm glad." He said blushing a little at her compliment before taking a look at her costume.

She noticed him observing her and figured "Ah my costume?" she shyly scratched the back of her neck "I should've specified sooner about my costume, now I'm wearing a tight fitting one. It's a little embarrassing."

"Well I think it's great! A tight fitting costume will eliminate obstacles when you're floating about right?"

"Th-that's true."

"But if you don't like it, I'm sure they can make you one to your taste."

She looked down at herself "Nah I kinda like it." She said giggling.

"Wooah! You two look great!" Mina said jogging towards them with Kirishima following her. "Look at us we're pink buddies!" she said to Uraraka offering a high five which she gladly returned.

"You collecting matching buddies in our student years?" Kirishima commented.

Mina held her fingers next to her head to appear like horns and winked at him "Of course!"

Kirishima laughed at her shenanigans before he was distracted by the sound of Izuku yelping in surprise. And when he looked, he saw Bakugo pulling the 'hood' off him exposing his fluffy green hair. "I told you to redesign that thing!"

"No!"

"Wow! Izuku you look cool!" Kirishima said walking towards the two of them.

"Oh shitty hair, you kept your shitty hair."

"Hey!"

"Cease this racket at once!" Iida was quick to sprint over them to stop an inevitable altercation. He did a hand chop motion between them successfully grabbing their attention.

"Woooaaah! Iida you look amazing!" both Izuku and Kirishima said.

"You look like a knight!"

"You look so manly!" Kirishima then turned his attention back to Izuku "By the way, is your hero costume inspired by someone?" he asked somewhat finding his color palette familiar.

"Wh-what?! Why'd you say that?"

"Mine is inspired by Crimson Riot!"

"W-well… you're correct." Izuku confirmed his voice shaky trying not to ramble about his older brother.

Kirishima snapped his fingers in realization "I got it! Roronoa Zoro! Am I right?"

Iida put his hand on his chin "Now that you say that, he really does sort of remind me of him. Not to mention, you were the one to bring him up that time when Aizawa-sensei expelled one of us."

Izuku started shaking at the thought of his brother's secret being revealed "Yes, I'm very inspired." He heard Bakugo snort behind him but when he looked back he was already walking away.

"I understand you two taking inspiration to admirable heroes. After all, I am inspired by one too!"

Izuku perked up at that since it basically confirmed his speculation "Ingenium!"

"Precisely!"

Kirishima laughed "Guess we're all just hero fanboys then huh?"

Both Izuku and Iida looked away from him "Th-that's right!" they both said in unison.

Their action got his eyebrow rising finding it a bit suspicious. He'll think or maybe ask about it later. He has a class to pay attention to. When the two noticed Kirishima turn his attention from them, they both sighed in relief making them look at each other, a little confused why they were so relieved to have the subject dropped.

"Time for Battle Trial!" All Might called to the students.

"Sir!" Iida raised his hand "This is the arena for the entrance exam. Are we having another mock battle?"

"No, it's more important than that. Usually battles happen outdoors, but statistics tells us that villains are more likely to act indoor. Imprisonment. Kidnapping. Illegal trade. In this time full of heroes, the real cunning enemies work in the dark."

Izuku's mind quickly flashed back to the time when he and his mother had to go to the hospital quite late for his brother. He shook his head and tried to push the memory away.

"This activity will divide you lot into Villain and Hero, and fight 2v2 indoor."

"No basic training required?" Asui asked

"This is a practice to understand the basics. However, you're not facing robots that can be destroyed."

"How do we win?"

"How much can I beat the other group?"

"Are we also going to be expelled if we do bad?"

"How will the group be divided?"

"Isn't this cape crazy chic?"

The students bombarded All Might with a multitude of questions overwhelming the hero who is also a newbie teacher. Izuku can only look at the hero sympathetically as he himself also couldn't catch every single question. Looks like it was too much for the hero since he saw him pull out a small guide.

"Villains have hidden a nuclear weapon somewhere in the building, and heroes need to eliminate the threat." He explained the activity. "Heroes have to capture villains or retrieve the weapon, and villains need to protect the weapon or capture the heroes within the time limit." All Might pulled out a box "Your partner and opponents will be drawn."

Izuku noticed Iida concerned about that so he explained his observation "I believe it's because Pros always have to pair up with heroes from other agencies."

"You make a point."

Before the drawing was started a yellow haired boy with a black lightning bolt raised his hand "We're going in pairs, right?"

"That's right young man!"

"Won't that make us uneven? A kid just got kicked out yesterday so there are 19 of us here right now." He explained making All Might sweat

"A-already?!" he sighed before coming up with a quick fix "We'll just have one team have three members. This activity is more of an assessment so it's not graded. You don't have to worry about that."

The rest of the class did the drawing. And when the groups were announced, everyone looked at the only group with three members a little intimidated.

"I don't think the drawing successfully did an even distribution." A guy with large elbows commented

Everyone's attention turned to Izuku, Bakugo, and Todoroki who were holding a ball with the same letter on it.

Kaminari whistled "I haven't seen the other guy in action, but his aura just exudes power!"

"No kidding." Kirishima agreed.

"Don't get in my way, Deku."

"I'll get in your way if you don't follow the plan."

"WHO SAYS YOU'RE COMING UP WITH THE PLAN?!"

"I did! Oh-" the both of them looked at the other member of the group "You don't mind right?"

"I can handle it on my own."

"HAH?!" Bakugo started walking towards him but Izuku caught him by the shoulder and held him back.

"The first battle is…"

Iida and Uraraka looked down solemnly when they were not only one of the first groups to go, but they're going against Uraraka will now dub the monster trio.

As they were walking inside the building towards the 'bomb', Iida put a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"Do not fret, Uraraka. What kind of heroes will we be if the knowledge of a stronger opponent discourages us!"

Uraraka slapped herself out of her downtrodden mood before looking at him with a determined look. "You're right!"

"Though it despairs me that I have to play the villain." It was Iida's turn to sulk.

Uraraka looked at him and sweat dropped "Hey, you can be an amazing hero student if you give your all here."

"You're right! Let us go then!"

The three students stood outside of the building waiting for the go signal from their teacher. "So uh, guys."

He tried getting their attention but Bakugo was too excited to go to even pay attention to him and the other one has been treating them as if they didn't exist. Izuku sighed accepting the fact that this isn't the best team up in their current state.

He can't get one of them to listen to him, but he can at least make one hear him out. Izuku grabbed Bakugo's ear "Kacchan, I have a plan."

"What the hell, ow! Did that old hag teach you techniques or something?!"

Izuku ignored the question and whispered the plan to him. Todoroki side eyed the two of them but brushed them aside fully confident he can handle this on his own. "Don't tell me what to do." He said shrugging Izuku off but he only smiled at him knowing he'll still follow through.

All Might told them to start and with that, Bakugo quickly made his way in with Todoroki on his tail. When the two tone haired boy got in, he placed a hand on the wall and activated his quirk freezing the whole building. Bakugo was able to avoid being frozen to the ground and slipped a little before gaining a stable footing.

"What the hell?!" he shouted at his classmate that was walking past him.

"You better leave the building. It's going to be dangerous."

"Dangerous my ass who do you think you are?!" he shouted before running past him to look for the bomb.

Iida and Uraraka both landed back on the ground when she deactivated her quirk "Phew that was close."

"Be on guard." Iida tried to listen at the quiet atmosphere and he could clearly hear Bakugo's explosions "Bakugo is nearing us, but the other one seemed to be in the building too. No idea about Deku."

Uraraka went to the other side of the bomb to look out for any of their opponents. The two of them were startled when the door of the room they were hiding in was blown away.

"Found you, you fuckers!"

Both Iida and Uraraka braced themselves for an attack, but when he let out a blast in their direction, ice started to come towards them essentially blocking Bakugo's attack. Iida quickly grabbed the bomb out of the ice's way and ran at a safe distance.

"What the hell?! I told you not to get in my way!"

Todoroki ran in and looked at him with a blank look "You were the one who was in my way."

"Why you!" he said through gritted teeth. He sensed something above them and quickly dodged with Todoroki doing the same and a bunch of rubble fell on the spot.

"I'll need more stuff for me to float, there's not much around here."

Iida went into stance and used his quirk to kick the walls and that caused rubble to start falling.

"Will these do?"

Uraraka clapped her hands together "More than enough!"

Bakugo looked at the culprit and saw Uraraka's fingers touching together "Oh you'll get it round face!"

She squeaked at the face he made towards her and prepared for an attack. But instead of an explosion, she saw ice going towards her so she made herself float to dodge it.

Iida watched as the two focused on his partner. But he still feels uneasy since one more student's whereabouts is unknown. And when he turned to check the bomb, he saw the said missing student reaching to touch the bomb. His instincts instantly kicked in and he used his quirk to take the bomb away from his reach and far from the others.

"You're fast as ever, Iida." Izuku commented.

"It'll take more than that to beat me hero. Mwahahaha!"

Izuku tried to hold in his laughter but ended up snorting. He looked at his match "Well, this is a good time to see how fast I am."

He activated his quirk on his leg and jumped forward to the bomb but Iida—who was more practiced in utilizing his speed—managed to carry it away again from him. But this time, Iida ran away from the room and started to run through the hallways.

When he heard Izuku running after him, he sped up and turned a corner. But when he did, he was caught in a web of capture tape causing him to drop the bomb and get stuck at the same time. He tried to struggle out of it, but Izuku's appearance in front of him stunned him.

"I hope you don't mind this, Iida." Izuku said walking towards him and wrapping more capture tape around him effectively capturing him.

Iida watched Izuku walked towards the unattended bomb and stood in front of it "Aren't you going to touch it?"

He only smiled at him before crossing his arms and leaning on the wall turning his head in the direction where they came from, and not long after it "Hero Team Wins!" All Might announced.

"Looks like my teammates captured your partner villain."

Iida slumped "We lost."

Todoroki was a little surprised from the announcement. He looked at Bakugo who was still wrapping Uraraka with the capture tape laughing maniacally. He figures that his other teammate has captured the other villain. It's then he realized that he didn't do anything to get their win making him clench his fist. He walked out of there without a word.

They were now gathered in the monitoring room with the participants lined up in front of the students. "Now, everyone. Who do you think is the MVP of this round?"

A girl with a high ponytail raised her hand making All Might choose her "That would be Iida, sir."

"Iida? But didn't his team lose?" Mina asked

Iida pointed at himself confused. "Iida took the effort of getting into his role and managing to prepare for the arrival of the heroes in cooperation with his partner. Not to mention, he was able to take the bomb away from the heroes from multiple close calls. I could say the same for Midoriya. He may have done the same preparations and planning that led to their victory, but I have to criticize him for not instantly touching the bomb when it was free for the taking. The hero team took advantage on the fact that this is a simulation, if it was in real life their plan and some not willing to cooperate will inevitably jeopardize the whole operation."

Izuku flinched but found the critique was totally called for while Iida touched his chest his heart touched at the praise feeling proud.

"Exactly! Thank you for your explanation, Yaoyorozu!" he said giving the student a thumbs up 'She said it better than me!' he thought in his head. "And so concludes the first match! Let us proceed to the other students!"

Everyone smiled in excitement and a little nervousness at who will go next. But none could compare to Izuku's wide smile and bright eyes beyond ecstatic to see his classmates' quirks.

His eyes were glued to the monitor the whole time. He watched in fascination how the guy with multiple arms that was partnered up with Yaoyorozu whose quirk had Izuku mumbling and scribbling away since it was a complex one same with her partner. And the group against them was a student with a tail and another with floating gloves and shoes.

Kirishima and what he learned was now Sero went up against the girl he figured has a frog quirk and a student with a bird head who had something come out his chest. Izuku quickly scribbled questions and speculations about that.

He saw the blond kid let out sparks of electricity out of his hand and a girl with earphone jacks on her ears which she has full control of. Izuku couldn't help but notice that their abilities somewhat match in a way he couldn't explain, same goes for their costumes.

A guy bulked up after eating what appears to be sugar cubes and a quiet student that was able to communicate to animals. There's the guy who he saw at the entrance exam his belt in full view who was with Mina demonstrating her quirk which he realized he hasn't asked about her so he quickly wrote down everything he could think of.

By the end of the activity, Izuku has filled a lot of pages of the thick journal, but he was surprised he still wasn't halfway through it. He truly appreciates this gift it seems very durable too. He'd take this journal everywhere but it was too big and thick too carry around casually.

All the students went out of the monitoring room with All Might leading them "Good Job you Guys! Everyone did their best. As your first training, you all did well." He praised giving them a thumbs up.

Asui spoke up "After Aizawa-sensei's class, everything seems to be more light-hearted and got some of the jitters out of the way." To which everyone nodded agreeing to her.

"That concludes this period! Change your clothes and go back to the classroom!" he said in a rush and running out of there causing a slight shockwave to blow the students' hair.

"All Might is so powerful!" Kaminari commented.

"What's got him in a hurry?" Ojiro asked in general.

"W-well, he is the number one hero. His schedule must be packed." Izuku reasoned somehow feeling responsible of keeping his secret.

Everyone agreed with that explanation and proceeded to the locker room to change. At the classroom, everyone started talking to one another about the most recent activity.

As usual, Midoriya was finishing his notes on his classmates while Bakugo was quick to get out of there and go home. "Yo!" he looked up and saw the electricity boy "Midoriya right? I'm Kaminari! You were really cool back there! That web of capture tape was like a plot twist that got my jaw dropping!"

"Yeah! I may have took inspiration from that when it was my turn, Sero by the way."

"Midoriyaaa!" Kirishima slung his arm around his shoulder quite roughly, but his older brother's pack more strength to it so this time he sat unwavering "You were manly back there!"

"No screaming in the classroom!"

"My bad, my bad." He apologized "So you heading home then?"

Izuku looked down at his journal and figured he can finish these at home. "I am actually." He packed his things in his bag "Let's head to the station then."

"Ooh I'll come with!" Mina declared grabbing her bag.

"Me too!" said Uraraka.

"Hey why don't we grab a snack on the way there? I know this really good place!" Kaminari suggested

"Are you treating us then?" Sero teased

"Wha—I don't have that kind of money!"

"I'd like to go there!" Izuku agreed since this would be the first time he gets to hang out with classmates that's not Bakugo. Though it's a shame he's not here. "Maybe I can grab something for my older brother, too."

"You have a brother?" Mina asked "Is he cute."

"I-uh I wouldn't know about that, but he's always working hard so a little snack would do him well."

"As expected from the hard working Midoriya to have the same work ethics as his brother. I too have an older brother and I strive to be like him one day!"

"I'll lead the way then! This place is a restaurant but there's also a café attached to it so you can take out whatever!"

When they got there, all of them looked on in confusion as they witnessed what looked like a gangster, get physically kicked out of the door. "Tsk, you have no place here if you throw your food away like that. Scram!" and that effectively got the poor guy scrambling away.

"You sure this is the place?" Mina asked looking at the amused look of Kaminari.

"Yeah! It's like dinner and a show here sometimes. There was an attempted robbery here once; their asses got kicked by the chefs though."

"You witnessed that?!" Iida asked in concern

Kaminari only smiled in response which definitely wasn't an answer enough for Iida.

"You there." They all turned to the blond haired guy who literally just kicked ass "You need a table?"

"N-no, we're just here for the café." Uraraka responded.

She blushed when the man gave her a gentle smile, far from the aggressive man she just witnessed. "Well I hope you enjoy your time there young ladies." Making Uraraka and Mina flustered.

He lit up a cigarette "Same goes for the others too I guess."

"Uhh…" Sero gaped at the man

"Don't mind him, he's always like that!" Kaminari said and invited them in.

Everyone ordered something and the food got them humming with delight.

"Woah, this dish is so manly!"

"What does that even mean?" Sero asked

Izuku was already ordering a take out with Iida.

"I hate you, Kaminari!" Mina said while shoving food in her face "I'm blowing my allowance in this place because of you!"

"Hey don't shoot the messenger!"

Uraraka looked at them with envy since she really didn't have enough to buy something. Just when she was starting to feel hungry, a plate of cake was placed in front of her she looked up and saw the man from earlier "Consider this a gift for an up and coming hero."

"Thank you!" she received a head pat before he left.

Izuku and Iida came back with boxes of food.

"I thought you guys were only buying for your older brothers." Kaminari commented at the amount they're carrying "You guys must be loaded, cause that's a lot."

"W-well, I-uh" Iida stuttered reluctant to reveal his status to his fellow classmates.

Izuku stiffened at that. Ever since Zoro became a hero he would always send money back home and he basically get his allowance from him…his brother is very generous.

That's when he realized how much heroes earn. Which is a lot.

"I-I save for special occasions!" he frantically blurted out.

"Midoriya is right! Food is a special occasion!" Mina said and continued her eating.

That earned laughter from the rest of them taking attention away from the two.

"Mellorine!" a voice resounded in the café followed by the sound of a slap.
