A.N. — I've been rather disappointed in the lack of reviews and number of clicks as the month's worn on. There's only so many recognizable characters to go around, and today's choice isn't even in the site's tags. After today, November 10 is the next open day in my outline.
293. Euan Abercrombie
Euan Abercrombie, first of his class to be Sorted, hoped his veneer of enthusiasm masked the terror he felt. The Hat, to Euan's bafflement, declared him a Gryffindor.
It didn't take long for his house traits to show through.
Rumors of a clandestine defense group ran rampant in Gryffindor's common room, piquing Euan's interest. Sure, it was run by Harry Potter, but that was part of the allure. Euan wanted to learn spells not being taught and whether the Daily Prophet's depiction of the Boy Who Lived was truthful. He'd ignore his trepidations, investigate Potter, and (hopefully) assuage his fears.
