Manjiro "Mikey" Sano is the most powerful man in underground Tokyo. He's the current leader of Bonten which is the number 1 syndicate in the Japan underworld. They deal with drugs, prostitution, human trafficking, and deaths in a daily basis. Death threats are their breakfasts but no one comes to close of even scratching them at all, specially him. Not even the police much more any ordinary person out there.

"That's for ruining my taiyaki day you wannabe gangster!"
The small woman in front of them looked like she's ready to explode, face red of anger as she looked at the face of Bonten Leader. Sanzu doesn't think the girl knows who the person she slapped is, but since they are Bonten they have a reputation to uphold. And letting a random woman slap their nearly untouchable leader in public isn't really a good idea.
Rindou who was the closest to Mikey immediately snatched the girl and pushed her down like she's nothing. The girl screamed as she was shoved to the ground no doubt with scratches on her arms as the impact is strong. The rest of the plastic bags of food she's holding we're now strewn on the ground. Dirty and inedible.
"SKJFKDSLHGSKDSL AAAAAA" The woman screamed clutching her hair out of frustration and looked at Rindou angry tears slowly streaming down her face. "You're gonna fucking pay for that you motherfucker! That's all my food for tonight and you ruined it!"
"HAH?! Who are you to command me you psycho chibi?!" Rindou angrily strolled in front of the girl and closed the gap between their faces. "You don't get to hit the king and just leave unscathed bitch."
The woman surprisingly seemed like she got hold of her emotions and angrily answered back.
"Watch me, Ugly."
He was about to slap the girl but was stopped when Mikey, who had been silent all throughout leaned forward and offered his hand.
"I'll buy you replacement for those. Now quit causing a scene and get up. People are looking."
She quickly got her bearings, took his hand then stood up. She saw some scratches on her legs from the impact of Rindou shoving her away and irritably looked at him.
"You should pray that I won't have any lasting scars or else I'm gonna drag your ass and have you fucking explain each of these scratches on my legs to my insurance company."
Sanzu's brow rose at that part. Her legs are insured? Somebody whistled from their side and he turned his head only to find out Kokonoi (probably computing the value of those legs on his mind) is already near the girl and even gave her his handkerchief with an interested gleam on his eye.
"Here use this to pat those dirt away."
The girl, still grumpy, looked at him but took it to clean a bit of her legs. Now that he looks at it, Sanzu realized that she look really beautiful. With big gray eyes. Really pretty. And short.
It seems he isn't the only one that noticed that too. Other members that are with him are actually checking her out aside from Mikey who simply looks bored waiting for the girl to be done. Kokonoi, noticing Mikey's mood asks the girl.
"Are you done? We have to go look for your food replacements so that you can leave and we can go on each other's business."
"Sheesh, so eager to get rid of me aren't cha? Atleast lend me you're jacket my god, it's cold as fuck."
Rindou, who can't seem to control his mouth angrily snaps "Maybe you shouldn't've worn something so thin and small outside before bitching on us huh?"
"I'm not talking to you, Ugly."
Ran sensed the anger from his brother bursting out, so he walked in front of the girl and looks down on her. Damn, she's smaller than Mikey.
"Miss. I'd like to ask you to stop being difficult on us, we're already trying to replace your food here. Atleast don't be antagonistic to your companions."
The girl looked like she got something else to say but quickly shut her mouth after and nodded silently. After spraying what seems like a disinfectant, she silently closed her bag, smiles then walk merrily to where Mikey is standing and clings her arms to him.
Mikey who looked shocked at her audacity can only look at the girl as she eye smiled at his face and asked: "Where are we eating now, Hottie?"
Sanzu, immediately recovered from the girls' antics and almost pulled her but Mikey raised his other hand to stop him.
"How about we go buy all those foods of yours that got thrown?"
She happily nodded and smiled at him again "Okay, c'mon Hottie. We got like, 7 stalls to go through then." And proceeded to drag him.
Rindou, Kokonoi, Ran and Sanzu all looked at each other as they can't believe what they're seeing.
Mikey, Bonten's Leader is letting this personification of moody midget drag him around the festival they were in. Some people seemed to recognize who they were and give them a wide berth while the others seem to ogle at the girl. Not that they can blame them, she really does have a pretty face.
They stopped first at a taiyaki stall and the girl went on to stand on the line but not before asking for Mikey for money. Sanzu almost got a heart attack when he handed his wallet to the girl. But instead of fussing about the items inside, she only took the exact amount she needed. "Yves Saint Laurent. Not bad hottie. Wait for me, I'll buy us taiyaki."
Mikey looked confused and asked Kokonoi "Did I just pass a test or something?"
Rindou still can't believe what's happening in front of them so he asked their leader.
"What's going on boss? Why are we following on this girls' whims?"
"We're not."
"Doesn't fucking look like that to me."
Sanzu doesn't like the tone he used in addressing Mikey so he faced him "Are you questioning the King's decision?"
"I don't. All I'm saying is why are we even doing this shit when we could've bought boss's food, eat then go back to the hideout? As much as I'm confident that no one's dumb enough to attack us on our own territory I hate being out here with people ogling."
"And?"
"What do you mean and what? I have nothing else to say."
"Then shut up, it's still the King's decision if he wants to."
Before they had anything more to say the girl struts back to Mikey with a bag of taiyaki in hand and proceeds to give him the other bag.
"Here's mine and here's yours. Thanks hottie! Next store please. Can I exchange my yakisoba to Takoyaki? I'm craving Takoyaki. Let's go."
Mikey, looked amused by her antics judging by the twitch on his lips. He told her to distribute the taiyaki to each member and apologize to them for her rudeness.
But the girl just blinked and looked him in the eye.
"I did nothing bad to them though."
Then proceeded to blink again.
Cute.
God, what the hell is going on?
"You kinda are though." The Bonten leader insisted.
The girl still looked at Mikey unflinchingly with those big grey eyes of hers but the leader seemed unfazed so she sighed in irritation then proceeded to get the taiyaki bag from Mikey's hand. One by one she gave it to each member not really saying sorry and gave them ridiculous nicknames.
"'This for you Frigid Pink." Sanzu
"What'd you say-" but she proceeded to Ran already "Young Thug 1."
Ran could only blink at the weird nickname then bit his taiyaki, no need for another useless discussion. The faster they get this done the faster they can get rid of the girl.
"Young Thug 2." Kokonoi
"Don't you think I deserve a cooler nickname than that midget?" Kokonoi whines but all he got is a glare. "Don't call me that.. hmp." And stopped in front of Rindou. She seems to be debating on what to call him but then he spoke.
"I swear to god if it's ug-"
"Ugly." And proceeded to dump him his taiyaki. She happily spun around and went back to Mikey who was amusedly watching the whole ordeal while Rindou is ready to rip her again to shreds.
"Hottie, here's yours." She eye smiled to him again then proceeded to eat.
Sanzu who heard his leader's nickname looked at Mikey as he eat his taiyaki.
"My King, why do we have to get through this shit?" he grumpily bit on the snack. It tastes good.
Before any of them can answer the girl interrupted again. She seems to like doing that huh.
"Sorry if people are staring at you because of me."
Sanzu cant help but blink at those words. She thinks she's the reason people stare?
Ran cant help but laugh at her statement. "You think you're the reason they're staring chibi chan?"
She seems irritated by the nickname. "Don't call me that."
"Can't chibi chan, you never gave us your name even after you rudely slapped our boss, called my brother ugly, insulted each of us with your meager nickname giving skills, then eat the food that OUR leader bought for you. Kinda a bit rude, no?" Ran smirked.
Ah, Sanzu thinks. His sarcasm finally strikes.
"Well, you can call me Pace." The newly named woman, answered Ran but then smirked to Mikey's direction, "But for you Hottie, you can call me Baby." And winked.
Sanzu wants to gag at her antics while Mikey just stared at her.
"Why do you think they're staring because of you?"
At that the girl stopped eating and posed in front of them. "I mean, have you not looked at me? Look, I have cute eyes. I've got killer body and I may look small but I'm pretty us fuck – no. Correction. I'm beautiful as hell. And you're asking why wouldn't they stare?"
Kokonoi and Rindou bursted out laughing at her reasoning while she frowned at them.
"I'm not joking." She said impatiently while tapping her feet on the ground waiting for their proper response. They were taken off guard with her confidence.
She might be small as hell but her confidence is oozing.
"We know Baby." All of them whipped their head to Mikey's direction. The Bonten members are shocked to hear what their leader said and can't formulate anything else to say.
How can a small girl elicit such response from Invincible Mikey?
Instead of blushing though, the woman seemed to preen on the way Mikey called her.
Too bright.
"Wellllll, Im quite popular I think. Hmmm, a lot of people follow me. I like singing so there's also that. Last but not the least, Im filthy rich. Sooo, that's it. People knows me and-"
"But we don't know you though?" Sanzu wants to scream to Rindo and his mouth. The girl's giving them details, useless as they may be and he just cut her off.
"Then either you're an idiot who lived underground or just an uncultured swine." She rolled her eyes on him.
He finally snapped at her answer. Sanzu can't let this little woman go on with her Bonten slander.
"Or you're just not popular enough, you ungrateful bitch."
"Oh I assure you I'm popular enough. Filthy rich too. I can even buy you, your friends and every fucking Dorayaki store on this whole prefecture. Or country."
They all stared at her with straight face. That's a pretty bold claim, even if she just put Dorayaki and them together in the same sentence as if they're on the same league.
"Please not the all the dorayaki stores Baby, I quite like them. I'd hate to go to another prefecture just to eat one."
Sanzu wants to pull all his hair out of frustration in the way this conversation is going. She claimed a lot of things but the only thing that seemed to leave an impression to their leader is dorayaki.
"But! My King!-" he interrupts Mikey but he shuts up immediately after seeing the look in his eyes. Seems like he's dead set on just going with the flow with this girl.
"Oh!" the woman, still oblivious to all the internal monologues of Sanzu and Mikey blinks and looks at their leader. "Ah, I'll name them all to you Hottie if you like. It's not like Dorayaki is my favorite food anyway. I prefer taiyaki, thank you very much." She happily nods while giving him that cute eyesmile thing again.
Motherfucking God how can she be bitchy, oblivious and cute at the same time? Sanzu could only ask that to himself.
"No need. I have money for that."
'Ah! Nuh uh, I have more money than you. I'll pay for it."
"Baby, trust me. I can pay by myself. I'm probably more richer than you."
The woman, Pace, stares at Mikey from head to toe. "Well, hmmm, I mean you're wearing OFF-WHITE clothes from head to toe, so that's quite expensive. Your guards are wearing Armani, I quite like them except for Ugly's, he's wearing Gucci, love the brand, hate the color and styling on him btw." She said then looked behind Mikey pointing to Rindou's whose brows are getting more and more scrunched as she speaks. "yeah, I guess you're rich. Just, not quite my level."
Kokonoi, finally snapped. He's in charge of the gang's finances and he knows they run around with hefty fortune. He won't let this little stranger belittle it like it's nothing at all no matter how expensive her legs may be. She's not even tall anyway, what's there to insure?
"We're fucking part of a syndicate Princess, and we control the whole Tokyo. So if you think that's nothing then id suggest you get your head checked. Cause we aint no good guys. We can kill you this instant and no one else would know. Not even your money or popularity can save you."
Oh shit. He just said it!
Sanzu's mind is screaming. They worked hard to keep their identities secret on the underground. People may know their name, their moniker or their reputation. But no one really knows Bonten's identities or what they even looked like. Not even the police. So, for someone like Koko to burst out like that, is quite surprising. He's waiting for Mikey to reprimand him for the reveal and the instruction on what to do next with the girl but upon checking, Mikey seemed busy gauging the girl's reaction.
Pace was taken aback by this statement and stared at him for a long time then seemed to think about it while looking at the faces of each guy who're with her at the moment. After that, she closed her eyes, gave a resigned sigh and seemed to reach in conclusion as she looked back at Mikey's gaze.
"So Hottie, you're their leader?"
Mikey nods at her question but says nothing.
She stared at his eyes for a long time then finally spoke. "That's hot. You're a bad guy, I'm a bitch. Bet we'd look good together."
Is she crazy?!
Is the only thought that runs to each member's mind as they watch the scene unfold in front of them.
"Look, you've been nothing but good to me since I slapped you. You seem to be their leader and got a good command on your people. So, I'm not scared of them nor am I scared of you. If there's one thing I learned in this lifetime, it's that people are not who they seem to be. And each and everyone have their own fucking story to tell." She exhales. "So, I won't ask you on your shit because I know you have your own reasons. I only want my Takoyaki now since I'm hungry and it's almost time for me to leave." She nods as she takes note of the time from her watch.
"Can I have your wallet again please?" there's that smile again.
Mikey looks helplessly to his members as he gave the girl his wallet and she went to the Takoyaki stand. They're too stunned at her words to speak. He nodded to Ran who then followed the girl at the stall and guard her.
Sanzu observes his boss at his peripheral vision.
Mikey still have the look of indifference in his eyes but if you squint, there's an amused twitch in his mouth and an interested glint in his eyes. All those times he's been with him since the founding of Bonten, he's never seen that much emotion to their leader aside when he was beating and shooting traitors to death on their early days. Recently, he doesn't even seem to blink an eye when killing people.
Then this girl just literally bulldozed her way on their stroll night and ruin everything for them. But she still managed to do something that all the executives have been trying to do before. Make Mikey feel something again.
It's a blessing in a bitchy disguise, I guess. All the others with him seemed to reach the same conclusion as they seem to nod their head to each other. They all just silently stood there while waiting for Pace and Ran to come back but then Rindou heard a weird noise coming near.
"The fuck is a fucking chopper doing here?"
Koko immediately took his phone and called Takeomi, asking if there's an emergency police operation on their area.
"What? Then what's a chopper doing on the clearing near us?" He waited for the answer on the other line. "Fine. If you say so. Thanks. We're going right back ASAP. I'd rather not risk."
He then explained the situation to them. "Takeomi said that it's an emergency chopper landing but it's not police related. There's some private security looking for someone in the area. But just to be sure, we need to get back to the base. He'd rather not risk us being sighted and give the police something to sniff at, at all."
Mikey nods at this as Pace and Ran walked near them, takeout bag on her hand.
"What's the chopper noise all about?" Ran asks his twin.
"Nothing, just some private individual asking for emergency landing. Said something about looking for someone but not police related."
Pace overhears this and immediately checked her phone. A look of horror appears on her face.
"Oh no no no no no." she says while shaking her head. "I am soooo fucked."
Mikey immediately went near her and read the message on her phone. "Are they looking for you?"
She frantically nods and then proceeded to eat the Takoyaki she's holding two at a time. Sanzu never saw someone eat as fast as she did but could only gape as the girl inhaled 10 pcs of Takoyaki within 3 minutes. Koko gave her water as they watched her drink it at one go.
Then her phone rings.
"Ah! Drakey poo. Hiiiiii~" she looked constipated listening to whatever the person on the other line is saying.
"Yah! Ken Ryuguji! I might have given you authority but I don't like the tone you're using on me right now! I'm still your boss you know!"
Mikey and all of the Bonten members seem to pause as the girl casually mentions the name in front of them.
Ken Ryuguji. Draken.
How the fuck are they related?!
As they observe, her expression turns back to sheepish looking after listening to whatever's said on the phone. "Ah, that? I got…. Lost? HEHE"
Mikey seemed to forget about Draken and laughed at her antics as she looked cute smiling like that while speaking to someone over the phone.
"You're too cute Baby."
This seems to make her pause.
"I know Hottie, now shush. I'm talking to Drakey-poo I don't want him to get mad at me." She winked at him then frowns again.
"What do you mean who is that? I met a hot guy surrounded by men wearing Armani Drake! No need to panic. They've been nothing but good to me, well, aside from one but don't mind him he's ugly. Where the hell are you anyway? How'd you find me?"
Her eyes bugged out after hearing whatever the person on the other line said then glances at them. "Well damn, I'm gonna say goodbye then meet you at the pick-up point. Wait for me. Bye."
She finally faced them and exhaled. "I have to go."
"Not until you tell me who's that Princess." Rindou demands her.
"Look here, Ugly. I am no princess. I'm a queen. And a bitch. And right now, I've got an angry butler waiting for me. I don't know about you but I certainly don't wanna face his wrath and have him biting my ears off my whole flight to Europe. So, if you need explanations I'm afraid you'd have to wait till we cross paths next time cause I sure as hell ain't giving you one right now." She snaps sassily then her eyes turns soft looking at Mikey.
She walked to his direction till their face is almost near.After a beat, she clasps her hands to his cheeks to give him a light kiss in the nose. Mikey could only look in shock at her as she pulled back. "Should've kissed you on the lips Hottie, but I don't want you to taste Takoyaki from my mouth." Then she gave him a V-sign, eye smile, and huge goofy grin.
Is she really the same small bitchy girl they encountered early this evening?
Sanzu noticed his leader's breath hitching a bit while looking at the girl in front of him. He looks helplessly as the members seems amused at what's happening in front of them, even Rindou who seemed to pull the short stick of unfortunate things tonight. He guessed it's because of the rarity of this kind of thing happening with his King that they're letting this girl do whatever she wants with them.
"I'll see you soon Hottie. I really gotta go. Oh, and in case you don't know since I kissed you, you're my boyfriend now okay? So, don't cha worry about me. And if you're wondering how Drakey found me, check twitter. Seems like "the hot guys in Armani" are currently trending at #3."
She walks away from them backwards and all Mikey could do is stare at what she said. Seems like she's not really joking about her popularity then.
"I'll find you soon okay? Ja ne."
And she disappears from the crowd.
Sanzu speaks.
"My king… She told us she'll find us soon.
Does she even know our names?"
Mikey's eyes widened at that. "Oh shit."
