A.N. — Today's another birthday bash, but it's also the first time in a dozen chapters that I've gotten to highlight a school-age male character. He's super popular in fandom but often gets shoehorned in his characterization. Well, I can make anyone broody!
307. Sirius Black
He'd fucked up; that was nothing new. It nearly costing someone their life was a first.
Sirius Black had to take a long look in the mirror and ask himself if everything his parents thought of him was true. He was already a failure to them, but had his devil-may-care attitude caused others to shift their perceptions too? Had all his fun and games instead been bullying gone unpunished?
He was still a Marauder (enablers they may be), and Snivellus would always be his enemy. But it was time to grow up and demonstrate that he was the better man.
