A.N. — Harry Potter made his quidditch bow today, and this Slytherin was his opposing number at the seeker position. I chose to tackle his biggest mystery: did he give up his spot to Draco Malfoy willingly or not?
313. Terence Higgs
Lucius Malfoy had bought Slytherin's quidditch team new brooms. Terence Higgs knew the real reason for the expenditure: his seeker spot was forfeit to Draco.
Terence could respect a good plan coming together, even if it was seemingly disadvantageous for him. It made sense that the Malfoys needed to show up their Lord's vanquisher; he just couldn't have predicted this was the route it'd go.
There were upsides. Terence got to study for his NEWTs without the distraction of quidditch. He'd wait and watch as, inevitably, Draco made a fool of himself — immaturity working to Malfoy's detriment and Terence's favor.
