A.N. — Here begins a rather sparse week for canon activity. It culminates with my birthday on the 21st, which I have a... unique character set aside for. But today is all about a one-mention person (only their last name, even!), who has more famous cohorts coming up in a few days.

318. Wilkes

The anonymity afforded by the black robes and white mask of the Death Eater robes suited Wilkes.

Wilkes clung to the periphery of Tom Riddle's gang at Hogwarts, not integral but not turned away, either. Riddle's rhetoric resonated with Wilkes, enough so to officially join up after graduating. Attacking in groups against unprepared targets was Wilkes' forte.

But again, Wilkes was never front and center in any plans. That lack of leadership experience wound up getting Wilkes killed by Aurors, a loss few mourned. Even in death, Wilkes remained an enigma: the mediwizard performing the autopsy noted KIA, nothing else.
