A.N. — The month that has Neville's parents logically must also contain their attackers. Of course, one of the drabbles for the Lestrange brothers had to be dark. And since I continually misspelled his first name, I take my aggression out via a gory write.
322. Rabastan Lestrange
Brutality was very in-character for Rabastan. It shocked no-one that he Crucio'd the Longbottoms into insanity, only that he hadn't replicated the deed on others earlier. The only surprising thing was that such a slight man could deliver such destruction.
Rabastan searched for his fallen Lord in a red fog, wanting direction for his anger and needing orders to follow to kill-kill-KILL. A stint in Azkaban only stoked his rage. When let loose by a triumphantly returned Voldemort, Rabastan needed no instruction. He reveled in spilling blood for the cause, his white Death Eater mask growing rust-colored in his furor.
